Hello everyone.

Am really in shock but did a PT this afternoon and got a BFP - well a very faint line anyway - did another one and got a stronger line.

Looks like I'm set for an Xmas baby! Grin

Still can't quite take it all in.

wannaBe1974 · 16/03/2006 12:23

Hi decafgirl ((hugs))

Try not to get too stressed about it all, at least you've taken a step now towards finding out what, if anything, is wrong, and then to potentially do something about it. I think it's the not knowing that can be worse, once you have some answers you'll at least have an idea of where you have to go from here.

good luck xx

Coriander73 · 16/03/2006 12:22

Hi to Peachy & Trace too...

decafgirl · 16/03/2006 12:08

Hi Guys, I went to the gp this morning and she's sending off another pg test to the lab 'just to be sure' and has advised me to go back in 2 - 3 weeks if there's still no sign of AF for some hormonal tests.

This just became a whole lot more stressful.

hugs xx

wannaBe1974 · 16/03/2006 11:19

well I think that one of the things keeping me from testing is the thought that, until I test, there can still be that possibility, but once I get that bfn then it's an almost certainty that I'm not.

I think actually that our parents/grandparents had it better than we did, they generally didn't find out they were pg until about 2 months, but now we have all these ovulation predictors, early pregnancy tests which generally aren't all that accurate, but because the box says they can give a positive 4 days before AF we buy them anyway. We do temp charting and looking for CM and our lives can become consumed by TTC, aided by the wonders of modern medicine and science. I sometimes think it would almost be better to go back to how it was before all these inventions, because then everyone was in the same boat, and you either got pregnant, or you didn't. Maybe a bit of a simplistic way of looking at it but i think there's something to be said for it.

NatalieJane · 16/03/2006 09:10

Nope no result either way, and as I said on the chat thread, even if it turns out that it isn't our month, I will just be relieved to know either way.

I am just fed up of thinking about it now, my thoughts change every five minutes anyway, one minute I am thinking no I can't be because of this this and this, and then the next I am thinking, did I have that twinge/pain/yawn/whatever/etc. when I was PG with DS?!!! I said it yesterday but I don't understand how something as natural as making a baby can be such a pain in the backside!!!!

Anyway, it is sounding really good for you :o, I don't know how you are putting off testing!!! I feel proud of myself for managing to keep two tests in the house for nearly 24 hours with out using one of them!!!

wannaBe1974 · 16/03/2006 08:49

morning all :)

Natallie so I take it still no news either way? Really hope you get a result either way soon :).

Well am on CD 29 here and still no sign of af, and today my simptoms seem to have increased to include the desire to go to the loo every few minutes. But last night I basically said to myself that there's no point in testing, it'll only be negative anyway, can't possibly be pregnant. Think I've been here so many times before that I actually don't think I'm able to get pregnant again. Part of me actualy thinks that's not too bad an attitude to have as at least I haven't convinced myself I'm pregnant, so when AF arrives I won't be too gutted. I mean I will be gutted, but not overly surprised .. think I'm waffling now lol. Anyway, have put the dates back, and if no AF by Sunday I'll test but not before.

Good luck to anyone else testing

((hugs))xx

NatalieJane · 16/03/2006 08:13

Beartime, if you would have seen me last month you wouldn't know I was the same girl!! I didn't even test last month because I just knew it hadn't been our month!!! I can't stand the not knowing business, right now even if I found out it hadn't been our month I would just be relieved to know!!

peachygirl · 15/03/2006 19:42

Hi anyone about? A better day for me but still busy.

NJ if you're not pg you must be seriously psychosomatic! Do symptoms even show up this soon though? My symptoms didn't turn up till 6 weeks - which was 2 wks after my AF was due.

NatalieJane · 15/03/2006 11:57

Still no sign of AF, and have bought some more tests (don't shout at me!!! I need to know one way or the other before the weekend!!) I am going to try and hold out till Friday morning though (obviously if no AF by then!!)

It is the not knowing either way that is getting to me now!!!

wannaBe1974 · 15/03/2006 08:33

hiya all, hope you're all ok. Peachy hope you're feeling better today :).

Well am on CD28 and no sign of AF. Woke up at 3 this morning feeling distinctly nausious, then went back to sleep, also felt sick after I'd eaten breakfast this morning, still trying not to read anything into it as realize that AF can arrive at any moment. HAve this weird feeling in my breasts, they're not sore when i touch them, but I've been getting these sort of pains in them if that makes sense? think I did have this when pg with DS but not till about 9 weeks or so. I'm resisting the urge to test and will hopefully test on Saturday if no sign of AF by then.

Natallie how are you today? any sign of your AF yet? Anyone else due to gest iminently?

have a good day all .. tc xxx

peachygirl · 14/03/2006 18:42

Hi all

It's been a really mad day .My best LSA is away poorl and today and yesterday (and tomorrow)so me and the not so good one have been left to fend for ourselves. I had another women in today who is lovely but in her 60's retired from fulltime at our school and just doesn't get it! All the dicipline falls to me. I have one very difficult pupil at the moment who can completely disrupt lessons and I have felt like I have just been shouting at kids all day long.Once one starts it's like a domino effect and they all joonn in all having to have their moment of attention! Have a bad headache and feel throaty and nosy still (DH too) whch really doesn't help. Did make them laugh though when I said I had been really fancying marmite at the moment!! hee hee (one of my kids was asking if he could have it on his pancakes in cooking tomorrow)
Now wannabe you really must follow your own good advice about being patient and not give in to the temptation of the free tests
Iwonder where trace is? I too hope she is ok. I have her email maybe I should drop her a line?

wannaBe1974 · 14/03/2006 16:46

hiya all, meggmoo have you tested yet? or are you going to do a test?

I'm on CD27, minor nausia, sensitive boobs but not painful to the extent they've been every month when I've had a AF so am hoping that's a good sign. Also boobs seem to be enormous! Had vowed not to test until Saturday but not sure if I can wait until then. Have several early tests which I got free with my isisscope so might use one of those tomorrow, if it's bfn then I can relax and wait for my AF to arrive.

peachy, pussycat, where are you? Peachy saw on the chat thread you weren't having such a good day, hope it gets better soon ((hugs))

Trace if you're still reading these threads I hope you're ok and feeling better, feel free to email me if you need to talk ([email protected]).

tc all xx

NatalieJane · 14/03/2006 13:44

Have you tested???

I don't know about me, am due AF today - no sign of it though, feel sick, eating loads, sore boobs, absolutely shattered, but BFN yesterday and this morning with First Responce tests so I am going to wait till next Tuesday then if no AF will test again, but for now am telling myself that AF's are still settling down after coming off the pill, and so m just waiting for AF to show up so we can start thinking about next month!!

meggmoo · 14/03/2006 13:32

NJ Do you think you might be then?

No AF for me either 2 days late...eeeeeeeek!

NatalieJane · 14/03/2006 12:56

Have answered you on other thread, :)

spinach · 14/03/2006 12:46

NJ, still looking good for you then?

NatalieJane · 14/03/2006 08:16

Morning all,

Just a quick update before nursary, no AF, no sign of AF due, but I couldn't resist doing the other first responce this morning (I know I know....) anyway it was with the first wee and still BFN, given up now, just really waiting for AF to show up.

Posted this on both threads :)

lucy5 · 13/03/2006 20:55
