Forgot to say, I will keep my fingers crossed for you Beartime :)

NatalieJane · 12/03/2006 08:07

Thanks for the nice messages everyone :)

I am feeling so sick this morning, I had to get DH up at 5 o'clock this morning to feed the dog because I couldn't stand the thought of being anywhere near his food, if I am not PG, there is something else wrong with me... this can't all just be in my head, can it?

I have never been so glad to feel sick, but if it is PG, and this is the way it is going to be for the next goodness knows how many weeks, I am going to get fed up of feeling sick very soon!!!! :)

I will post this in the chat thread as well in case there is anyone there! :)

beartime · 11/03/2006 22:10

Had headache today - does that mean anything?

JennyLee · 11/03/2006 20:25

Nj hope you are preg best wishes!

JennyLee · 11/03/2006 20:24

Hi, everyone hope people are lucky this month or next. I will probably be posting more next month when I actually have something to discuss as still have not had bd and am beginning to lose the baby madness as there is nothing 'feeding' it . not really ttc if I'm not getting any.(lazy dh) good luck to everyone.

spinach · 11/03/2006 19:46

sorry NJ, i thought you were... hope you are, if you're getting that strange taste and feel queasy you could well be!

NatalieJane · 11/03/2006 16:04

Anyone around?

NatalieJane · 11/03/2006 11:39

Spinach, I'm not PG, testing Wednesday if no sign of AF!

I don't think it is a metalic taste, just the swallowing.

spinach · 11/03/2006 11:12

thats exactly it NJ!! keep eating, it makes it easier. i nibble something every hour or so. Dont eat big meals either, tyhat makes it worse, its a metallic taste isnt it! at least it means all is well!

NatalieJane · 11/03/2006 09:03

Spinach, maybe way TMI, but did you get that swallowing thing like before you are sick, but still know you weren't going to be sick?

suwoo · 10/03/2006 22:50

Wannabe my AF is due on Weds too, so I'm with you! Are you going to test Weds or wait til Thurs if nothing happens? thats my plan.

beartime · 10/03/2006 21:52

Just bought Taking Charge of your Fertility as I have prevously charted and looking up on the internet found that everyone recommended it for ttc when bfing - has anyone else read it or using the charting method?

jabberwocky · 10/03/2006 19:58

hi decafgirl, my cycles were averaging 40 days after I came off the pill when we were ttc ds. I got pregnant on the second try that time.

We just finished month 1 and BFN, so am keeping fingers crossed for next cycle.

spinach · 10/03/2006 19:10

Hi NJ, yes i feel sick all day long and dont throw up! Happened in my first pregnancy too, lasted about 5 months! it started at three weeks this time, horrid isnt it. For me, this time, its a blessing because it makes me feel that all is well with the pregnancy.

NatalieJane · 10/03/2006 18:01

Anyone around who has suffered with morning sickness - but not actulally been sick?

NatalieJane · 10/03/2006 15:57

That would be 'excellent news Spinach....' obviously!!! Roll on the w/e!!

NatalieJane · 10/03/2006 15:52

Excellent new Spinach, you must be so relieved. Take it easy and relax from now on :) TC xxx

spinach · 10/03/2006 15:49

well i had scan and bloods today and all is well. thanks to those who wished me well.

skerriesmum · 10/03/2006 15:27

Thanks for the messages wannabe and Nat. Fingers crossed this is it for you this month wannabe!
No, I'm not taking medication, I can't think of anything that might affect my cycle. I suppose there can be some variation. I find temping really hard as we're woken up at different times by our toddler... maybe I'll buy one of those scope things!

decafgirl · 10/03/2006 15:00

Thanks everyone. I think if AF hasn't arrived by next week I'll go and see the GP but I'm more or less certain he/she will just say 'you're young, it's too soon after the pill, keep trying blah blah' but in my mind, the sooner I know the better.

I took two ov predictor tests when I thought I should have been oving but obv they were neg so God only knows if I have when I have - if you see what I mean!

I'll let you know what happens (if anything) next week,
Thanks again!

wannaBe1974 · 10/03/2006 14:43

hiya all, hope you're all ok.

Sorry to hear about your AF Skerriesmum. It seems to be a fairly common thing for cycles to change when ttc, although generally they seem to get longer rather than shorter. I have a theory on this - it's a generally known fact that stress can delay ovulation, I think therefore that it's possible that the stress of ttc can delay or even prevent ovulation and consequently can delay AF which in turn causes more stress which delays ovulation next month and so the vicious circle continues. So I think really there's a lot of merrit in not stressing over ttc, although that's a lot easier said than done.

Decafgirl welcome :). Am going to be slightly blunt here and say that if you're having generally 42 day cycles and over you should seak medical advice. Such long cycles are often an indication that you are not ovulating regularly or normally and could indicate a medical condition such as PCOS. I'm not an expert on this condition although I do have a friend who has it, and she has very long cycles as well - might be worth talking to meerkatsUnite about it as she is generally quite an expert. Of course I'm not saying you would necessarily have the condition but such long cycles aren't generally considered to be normal, and the sooner you go and see a GP the sooner they can establish if there is anything which could prevent you from conceiving.

Well I'm on CD 23 today, this morning had some quite painful cramps - felt a bit like AF, even called DH and he basically said "oh well that's it for this month then", but AF didn't arrive so not sure what that was about. Have the customary sore boobs for this time of the month but am refusing to read anything into those as have been there so many times before. If I have a 28 day cycle (which I've had until about 3 months ago) AF should arrive on Wednesday, am tempted to test then or maybe will just wait till next weekend but I know i am not a patient person.

Well best shoot for now - the housework isn't going to do itself and have to ring the college to find out about my next course.

NatalieJane · 10/03/2006 13:59

Sorry Beartime, it means I am on Cycle Day 21, basically the 21st day of my cycle.

beartime · 10/03/2006 13:55

CD21 - what does that mean?

NatalieJane · 10/03/2006 13:15

Sorry Skerriesmum :(

It does seem strange that your cycles are suddenly changing, have you been on any medication or anything?

NatalieJane · 10/03/2006 13:14

See you Peachy, if you haven't already gone, I hope you have a lovely weekend! :) TC xxx

Hello and welcome to all of the new people :)

I am now on CD21 out of a 25 day cycle, so getting quite exciting now!!
