boo brooking you feel better soon, though I'm worried there might be something seriously wrong... you're actually enjoying 50 Shades... ?

gen good luck for your scan, brooking your little sticky bean is all in the right place/shape/size. I decided not to apply for the job in the end, it came around the time I was told our only hope was ICSI and I figured that would be more than stressful enough over the next few months, without having a super-stressful job too. New Mgr isn't new to the dept, he's been there a fair old while, he's just new to managing my team (on a temporary interim basis thank f....). Snr mgmt seem to think the sun shines out of him so that's that! Hopefully a proper replacement will be hired in over the next couple of months. I also hadn't thought of jury service being my ticket to a BFP... and of course there is no way I can do JS when I am vomming every five minutes, is there?! Grin

olives Brooking for your little sticky bean also, I hope the time flies to your 12 week scan and you feel able to relax and enjoy your pregnancy a little (ms permitting, of course!). You are perfectly entitled to eat what you like - you are pregnant!! I am the other dieting brooker, but have kind of fallen off the wagon the last two weeks. WI tonight so we shall see just how naughty I have been!

maybe you're more than welcome to go in my place! Sorry to hear about your boss, there seems to be a bit of an epidemic of them at the moment.

sweetie lovely to see you around. It is so flipping hard, isn't it? well done on the open evening, but I completely understand your wanting to wait. I think sometimes the DPs/DHs don't realise what a big deal IVF is to us, that it is a medical procedure and that there is no guarantee of success at the end of it. MrGeek is exactly the same - he was really on cloud 9 when we were told we would be fast tracked to ICSI. I am sure two months won't cause horrific ageing to your eggs, in the grand scheme of things - there isn't a switch that causes them to go naff overnight! Brooking you get your BFP before you have to make a decision.

keep oooh sore bbs, that came and went and came back again? Diffed, my dear!

ooops time's gone by faster than I realised, best get MrGeek up, feed the cats and head off for round day 2 of new mgr :)

BeedleTheBard · 03/07/2012 05:45

Morning brookers

gen Good luck for your scan today, I hope it will stop the worrying for a little while. And thankyou for your plea to the universe for my BFP, it was lovely

sweetie there's nothing wrong with delaying the IVF for a couple of months, I imagine it will be stressful enough with alll those drugs and everything, without wondering if it was the right thing to do. A couple of months will make no difference to your eggs. And of course if you relax over the next few months your bound to get pregnant HmmHmm (I am of course hoping for your ironic BFP but don't believe it will have anything to do with you being relaxed or not)

scarlett I can see you :o

geek sorry about your evil boss, I had my share of them in the past, but don't worry soon you'll be pregnant and can go on maternity leave :o

Right time to get ready for work.
Waves to all the other brookers including those that came to visit with their snuggly babies

Fed up of waiting for ovulation so emptying a bottle of wine on a Monday night!!!

GenericDietCola · 02/07/2012 21:41

Sweetie I totally understand your reluctance to enter into something so invasive, especially when there is not proven reason you can't conceive naturally. I am brooking like mad for your ironic BFP before September. Having said that, I agree that it doesn't matter how the baby is made, it will still be your child, so if you do decide to go for IVF in the end there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Not sure if I'm putting that very clearly, but hopefully you know me well enough by now to know what I mean.

keepitgoing · 02/07/2012 21:00

Oh sweetie in which case I def see why you want to wait. Is this Nhs funded? It seems crazy to me that they rush people into ivf without many investigations. Oh that evil birch. July will be it for you x

SweetieDoesIt · 02/07/2012 20:41

keep they didn't even have our blood test result when we went back Angry. The only reason they gave for going down the IVF route is my age (38). My scans and HSG were normal, and DH SA was on the low side this time but last time was all normal. I have to go get my day 2 bloods repeated this cycle, which is due Wed, I am already spotting so the evil witch is already lurking.

FWIW I wouldn't couldn't wait until 9.30pm to eat either

keepitgoing · 02/07/2012 20:28

Just ate without dh. Bad wife not to wait till 9.30..? (He doesn't mind)

keepitgoing · 02/07/2012 20:27

sweetie remind me, have they found anything? If not, I think it can be harder to accept needing ivf. Anyway, surely a couple of months won't make much diff to eggs. When is af not due for you this month?

gen I can't believe you're 12 weeks already. Other peoples pregnancies go fast!

geek don't worry about ivf and jury service. You'll sort it if it happens

boo sorry you are feeling sad. Is it that witch staying with you?

Ladies, I have, slightly, sore boobies. Now this is not unusual for me, but haven't had them for a bit, and wondered if all my supplements had done sth.

You know what? I quite like the 2ww sometimes as allow some fantasizing, not of the boo variety though Blush

SweetieDoesIt · 02/07/2012 20:12

Hello Lovely Brookers - just popping in to mark my place. Sorry I have been MIA of late, but I am still with you all in spirit.

This thread has been on some ups and some downs recently too.

Face so sorry for you loss, I do hope you are getting plenty of support and hugs in RL. I am not surprised you are feeling fed up with everything on the near horizon.

Olives everything looking so good for you, that HCG result is excellent - counting down to the heart beat on Friday.

Gen good luck for the scan tomorrow, thank you for thinking of me Thanks

Maybe have I missed that you have been for your accupuncture? How did it go?

Sparks keep seeing all the excellent charity knitting you have been on with - well done you, such a nice thing to do

Geek so sorry you may be also going down the IVF route too - just remeber it isn't how our DC get here just so long as they do

We went to the IVF open evening last week along with about 100 other couples Shock and have our next appointment on 10th to discuss next steps and be taught about the medication and how to do the injection etc. But we have already decided not to start treatment until late Aug/Sept. I have found it very tough as DH wants to get started right away and I am so much more reluctant. I can understand where he is coming from, my eggs are aging so the longer we wait the older we will be, but I just don't feel it has been fully explained why we need to go down this route yet. Anyways it give us 2 more cycles for that ironic BFP and we are throwing everything at it. Keep your fingers crossed for us and Brooking hard, I will be lurking and still on FB xx

NoMaybeAboutIt · 02/07/2012 19:59

Oh Geek what a Twunt he is. My boss has been similarly twuntish today too. Don't worry about the jury service. If it does clash, you will be excused with a doctors letter. I've always wanted to do jury service.

Gen 12 weeks already! Where on earth has that time gone? I will be brooking for you tomorrow lovely.

Cartoon you poor thing. You will get your baby soon.

Sorry you are feeling down Boo

Solars DH loved it! He fell asleep! The cranial sacral therapy as amazing too. I asked my lady and she said it is a slight reaction to the needles, it is very common.

GenericDietCola · 02/07/2012 19:48

Oh Geek he sounds like a right tool. Suppose this means you didn't get the job then, which also sucks. Since he's new to your department, could you take the opportunity to teach him some better management skills as part of the induction process? Plus, surely jury service will guarantee a BFP or a quick IVF appointment!

Cartoon you will get your baby soon, I'm sure. I am brooking anyway.

Boo hope your brooking returns soon.

Olives thank you! Eat the carbs, I'm the same!

GreenOlives · 02/07/2012 18:42

keep Im planning on relaxing if I get to 37 weeks! Seriously Im not sure I will ever feel relaxed about being pregnant but IF we get to 12 week scan then I will try my best to chill a bit!
Thanks for the new fred beedle, I hope its lucky for you and all the others.
face theres not much I can say to make you feel better but I found it helped to book a holiday or a few treats for yourself - its good to have stuff to look forward to and take the focus off TTC a bit - it definitely helped me. I also started listening to a meditation download which helped to keep me sane!
gen said it on the other fred but worth saying again - sending lots of brooking love for tomorrows scan!
Big waves to everyone else and a special high 5 to cups and sparks for excellent weight loss! And I think there may be another dieting brooker but I cant remember who! My healthy eating resolve has gone to pot over the last few days as when I feel nauseous the only cure is carbs and iced water (more carbs than water unfortunately!)

Princesslovelyboo · 02/07/2012 18:36

I am still here, lurking and reading, still feeling a bit :( so I will quietly brook for you all. I have been cheering myself up with lots of books though (I can't knit) plus 50 shades makes me happier than new socks Grin

I will be all up and brooking soon, I promise :)

Geeklette · 02/07/2012 18:12

olives congrats on the HCG, those are excellent results! Looking forward to hearing about the hb/developing blob Grin

beedle thank you for the new fred, may it bring the positive pee sticks of our dreams :)

Just to clarify about my last post... my new manager isn't someone who has just started, he has worked in my dept for about three years and is a known-and-confirmed dink. His current reportees were overjoyed when they heard my team would report to him after my manager's departure because [ quote ] "it'll get him off our backs and we might get some bloody work done for a change" [ unquote ].

So, after having the Monday From Hell, I get home to find I have been called up for jury service at the end of August. Now I am bricking myself that it might clash with potential IVF dates. Not feeling particularly unstressed right now, in fact feeling rather overwhelmed by life at the moment!

cartoonface · 02/07/2012 18:09

hello im here to bring the negetivity and have a child like strop. its not fair why wasnt i allowed to keep one of my babies? nurserys nearly finished (the work was all arranged when i was preg first time) but theres noone to go in it.

Solars · 02/07/2012 17:58

Gosh I really am not with it today, was meant to also say, sorry about AF Beedle but yay to day 1 of pg and it's a lovely new thread too x

Solars · 02/07/2012 17:54

X-posts Generic wow 12 weeks already! No brooking all will go well, how exciting to see the little one x

Solars · 02/07/2012 17:51

Ooooo lovely new thread Cups how's the tooth?

Yay Olives fabulous hcg result, so pleased for you!

Maybe I really do enjoy my sessions and plus it's giving me something else to focus on too and I guess that sense of control too which ttc can rob you of. I don't have any marks when the needles are removed and believe me I am pouring over my skin trying to find out where she has put the needles in! Maybe worth asking if that's normal. Did your DH enjoy it?

Keep I'm not due at the weekend but I won't test until next Monday. Did you say you're testing on thursday? Fingers crossed x

Geek hope you've managed to calm down x

GenericDietCola · 02/07/2012 17:46

Hello and thanks for the shiny new thread Beedle! Sorry about AF the witch but I have a good feeling about this cycle for you, for your ironic pre-appointment BFP. Please, universe.

Olives that is marvellous news re your hCG and I don't think I commented on Friday to say how brill that your sac is definitely sticking in the right place and has a yolk sac - hurrah! Heartbeat on Friday!

Keep I think it is your turn too!

Little I totally understan your keeping away, I've been like that to a degree too!

Bartlet glad you had good hols - how are you now? Hope your sickness isn't too extreme this time.

Solars glad you got a bargain relaxation CD. I need one of those!

Maybe glad you enjoyed your acu too.

Cartoon rant away, life seems very unfair at times and we all understand and will try to support you.

Sweetie how are you getting on, and Scarlett too?

Hello everyone else! I am still feeling sick, although a bit better I think. I've been so busy with work, but trying to get a decent night's sleep each night too. Send some brooking my way tomorrow morning please as it's my 12 week scan! I sway from anxiety to excitement every 5 min, so at least tomorrow I'll be able to stop worrying about it all.

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 02/07/2012 17:02

Yay Olives! Great news about the blood test, you must be dead chuffed :)

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 02/07/2012 17:00

Great news for Olives. Heartbeat coming soon. X

Impressed by Cups and others losing weight. Go girls.
