Morning all, just logged on for news of Solars - is AF now late? Hope so!

Imps it sounds like your life is going very well and it's good to have a plan B. We had a plan B for if this pregnancy hadn't worked out. We had already decided that this would be our last attempt and it felt good to have some other ideas to focus on. I can confirm though that I am/was delighted that the scans were OK and it looks like everything is going to be all right, but if it hadn't been, then it would have been nice to know that those other things were options. I'm sure eveyone gets cold feet re TTC - having a baby is such a huge commitment. I'm sure things will all work out in the end.

Can't remember what anyone else is up to now and I've got to get on with some work - will be back later!

SecretSparkle · 09/07/2012 09:14

Imps I missed you :o glad to hear you are doing so well. Of course, this new laid back attitude will surely help you get diffed!!!

Can someone look at my chart and tell me if I've ovulated yet? I'm assuming not, as FF seems to have had a bit of a freak out, before my first peak I think I was 3dpo, then I went to 1dpo, and now I'm ovulation not detected :( promised myself that I wouldnt get wound up or stressed but I'm struggling a little to keep a lid on it. I guess I shall have to carry on bonking until further notice!!

Imps7 · 08/07/2012 22:37

Hello, am back again - who missed me?? Grin

Keep - wahhhoooooo to Thailand!! I keep dreaming of emigrating to far off distant lands - I don't think this weather is helping. Deffo won't be doing a Beedle though - difficult to find sausages Shock Shock? The horror!

Maybe how is Operation Prove Twatfink GP Wrong going?? I imagine you both doing your superhero outfits, flexing your muscles and flying off around the world to achieve your various missions each day!

Well things are very good here in Impsland. We've taken our foot right off the TTC accelerator and it is fab. I have to say that I find that I am increasingly becoming less committed to the cause - things are going so well in my and OH's life and we've got so many nice things in the pipeline that I keep questioning why we would want to try to do something that has the potential to end up going so badly wrong that it would taint our happiness forever. To be totally honest, I'm not sure if I'm TTC because I want to TTC, or if it's because it's all so drilled into us that Having a Fulfilled Life = Having a Baby that I'm just doing it because, well, everyone else is.

OH and I have agreed that we're deffo going to need some sort of help to get updiffed, which we're totally fine with, and in the last few weeks we've been coming up with a Plan B (a bit like you Keep!) to follow if baby making doesn't work out. Strange thing is, I find myself feeling more excited about doing those things than having a baby and all that comes with one. I've raised the possibility of stopping TTC forever for a little while with OH but he is v keen to keep going for a while longer before we admit defeat and turn to Plan B. Don't get me wrong, if I do get a BFP and a successful pregnancy, I can't imagine that I be anything but over the moon and wonder why the hell I had ever got cold feet. For the moment though, my cold feet seem to be ruling my head.

This could all just be hormones talking of course - ovulation is imminent (and so it damn well should be - I'm on CD 22!) - I'm sure that in a couple of months I'll be back to normal!

Right, sorry for off-loading - if any of you are still reading this post, thank you for your time!

Night night lovelies, have a nice sleep.

keepitgoing · 08/07/2012 21:12

Hi girlies, just back home so won't stay long. Just to say solars am keeping my fingers crossed for your bfp and hope af not got you. cartoonbig hugs and we are brooking on your behalf. geek I'd test then drink.

Had good chat with dh in the car of all the qus we have for our appt on Tuesday, and our plan for the next year should we not get lucky. Love him lots, we are a good team.

Will be around tomorrow, my last week at work before Thailand. Eek.

Imps7 · 08/07/2012 20:34

Alright my lovelies??? Happy Sunday to you all! Sorry have been not posting much - have been super busy.

Whims leaving party already?? Seems like only yesterday that we found out that MI6 were transferring Agent 00Whims to the US. On a scale of 1 to 10, how prepared are you for the trip?

Cartoon - brooking arguments (as opposed to not brooking any) is perfectly allowed. Give yourself time to adjust lovely - you can't expect yourself to get back to the PMA when it's all so raw. We're here for you whether you're brooking or not - please don't be afraid to post about feeling down when you're feeling down.

Geek - favourite beer festival planned for the day AF is due = classic preggo sign. Top stuff, I shall start to practice my next routine... Wink

Sweetie I'd be surprised if a private appointment just to ask questions and get advice on further tests and stuff would affect your entitlement to NHS IVF treatment but it's well worth asking. I think it's a top idea to spend more time finding answers to your questions - it must surely help if the process makes more sense to you, IYSWIM.

Ooooh must just nip off - OH has put the rest of the film we half-watched last night on... be back to finish my post in a bit...

Princesslovelyboo · 08/07/2012 20:12

Ooh Geek I meant to add my drinking advice- I'm not pg till my pee stick says so!! I don't drink much any way, but I will enjoy myself guilt free until I find an agreeable pee stick :)

Whim I hope you enjoyed your party. When do you move?

BeedleTheBard · 08/07/2012 20:06

olives Congratulations on your little bean with a heartbeat :o

whims hope the party went well, and it wasn't too sad saying goodbye to all your friends. Hope the weather was ok for you too.

geek we had sausages (barbecued) and they were lovely. Its almost impossible to buy proper meaty sausages here, but I've finally found some :o :o

cartoon don't worry about your lack of brooking, we'll still be here brooking for you.

We've been helping some friends move house today, I'm aching already, I probably won't be able to move tomorrow!

Waves to all

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 08/07/2012 19:45

Geek I'd not thought of that! Shock Shock

Tbh I'd probably test then drink copiously if BFN even if it is a false BFN - you can't put your life on hold, it makes for a miserable existence imvho.

Princesslovelyboo · 08/07/2012 19:33

Oh Geek I may need that recipe! We had sausage (Tesco half fat) and chips. Thanks for remembering, it is Thursday Mr boo is already under orders not to linger at his Sunday Piss up catch up with his mate as pant snot is telling me sex week has started!!

How is it going with the twunty new boss??

Has everyone else had a god weekend, I hope so, it was certainly quiet here to lots of rat smacking I presume Wink

Geeklette · 08/07/2012 18:34

sparks how was the wedding? Did everything go without a hitch?

boo brooking for your b'day baby, not long now Grin

fluff you've just ruined my life! Now I have to hope that he doesn't do a David Gemmell and drop dead in the middle of the last book in the series :(

Nothing to report here, all symptoms ceased as of yesterday, but that is pretty normal for me. I still feel about as un-diffed as I ever have in my life. AF is not due next Saturday and I'm in a bit of a quandry. It's my favourite beer festival next Saturday so do I drink or not if AF hasn't shown her face by midday? I'll no doubt about it probably have tested several times in the morning, but as we all know, a BFN = diffed!

How was everyone's weekend? What are you all having/had for tea? I'm starving and have cracked the whip on MrGeek to get the burgers in the oven nice and early. Cheese burgers, chips and fried onions, and all just 13 WW points Grin

cartoonface · 08/07/2012 17:26

Thought everyone had moved threads cos of my lack of brooking.

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 08/07/2012 14:49

:o Generic
I'm on book 4 of GoT (well part 2 of book 3 iyswim) and I was gutted to realise he's not written the last two books (6 & 7) yet Shock Angry so I'm going to be left hanging when I get to that point. I'd not mind, but he's not very good at wrapping books up, they're all cut off midflow iykwim so we'll be left without any kind of conclusion possible for several years! Shock

SecretSparkle · 08/07/2012 14:23

I was getting a bit paranoid!! I'm nursing a bit of a hangover today!!

Princesslovelyboo · 08/07/2012 14:00

I was letting you think you were a fred killer Sparks Grin

how's your weekend going?

SecretSparkle · 08/07/2012 13:43

So quiet on here!!

SecretSparkle · 06/07/2012 23:22

Oh face you've been through so much, it's going to take a bit of time!! Don't worry we're all brooking for you, so there's no rush xxx

cartoonface · 06/07/2012 21:29

Really can't get back in the brooking spirit

Solars · 06/07/2012 20:59

Will be brooking for on Tuesday Little and hope that uti clears up sharpish x

Lovely to see you Sweetie have been thinking of you. It must be so hard to get your head around the IVF especially if you feel 'unheard' and not given a good enough explanation why. Going for a private consultation shouldn't effect your NHS treatment. May be a good idea to ring the clinic and find out which one of the consultants has a private practice and if possible if you have your results take them with you. They may ask to repeat the tests otherwise, an extra cost however you should get the results quicker and be seen quicker and hopefully a better explanation of your options x

SweetieDoesIt · 06/07/2012 20:28

Hi ladies and happy Friday

Olives so pleased to hear about the fantastic scan results.

Sparks hope you have a lovely day tomorrow, your outfit looks amazing

Gen let us know how you get on sharing your news with the family.

Little brooking for Tuesday, glad you are feeling terrible, sort of

Solars Grin at your DH listening to the conception CD, I once caught my DH taking my folic acid Shock men they hate been left out

Maybe hope your accupuncture goes well, you may be getting result s already it is good stuff

I am still mentalling about the IVF situation, I have moved our nurse appointment back to give us a bit of breathing space. I still feel we haven't had all the info we need, does anyone know if we paid for a private appointment with one of the consultants, as we have only seen a registrar who rushed through stuff with no explaination so far, does this effect our NHS treatment? I would like a second opinion but it would have to be with one of the consultants at the clinic we are using for our NHS treatment. I woulD have to wait l after Christmas to see one of the consultants on the NHS and don't have the luxury of time.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend x

GenericDietCola · 06/07/2012 20:26

Solars I was thinking about that episode too - brilliant!

Fluff I am kind of curious but feel l ike I would be jumping on the bandwagon way too late, so I will decline! Plus I've got all the Game of Thrones books to read first.

Little glad but sorry you are feeling ill IYSWIM! Sorry re the UTI though, they are horrible. Brooking for Tuesday X

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 06/07/2012 19:24

Oh poo little :( I hope it clears up soon! Brooking hard for Tuesday :)

TheLittleFriend · 06/07/2012 19:13

So pleased to hear great scan news from gen & Olives

Hope everyone else is good too.

I've got a uti, which I'm a bit gutted about as i've been drinking cranberry juice by the shed load since my bfp. I had 2 when preg with dd so wanted to avoid it this time. So antibiotics for me.

My early scan is booked for 5.30 Tuesday, so brooking hard for that. I still feel like death warmed up though, which I hope is a good sign Smile

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 06/07/2012 17:05

Oh - I have a copy of the original PDF of 50 Shades from when it was fanfiction ("Master of the Universe" I think which I thought was a bit odd, coz that's, like, He-Man, right? Hmm ). I'm told it's almost identical, except it keeps the twilight names, i.e. Bella/Edward. If anyone would like it, PM me or FB me and I can email it to you :)

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 06/07/2012 17:02

Shock Leaving party already whims! Have you planned how you're announcing your pregnancy? :)

Massive yay Olives :) :)

Solars · 06/07/2012 17:01

Gen that's just reminded of that's Friends episode where Chandler is listening to a CD to help him stop smoking but it's aimed at women Grin thinking about it probably wouldn't do DH any harm having a few female qualities, I may just lend it to him Grin Grin

Sounds like you have a busy weekend Whims enjoy!

We are at my brothers on Saturday for his birthday and then hopefully out to see the olympic torch on Sunday!

Have a good weekend everyone x
