NEWSFLASH

I have two huge spots on my face made bigger by a failed attempt to squeeze them - I never get spots so this confirms the Blindingly Obvious. Hurrah for being with child!

Cold feet? What cold feet?

cartoonface · 11/07/2012 12:37

totes wot i was thinking sparks my doc seemed unsure about doing another smear when its not due but i can usually talk him round thats wot i like about him he does wot i ask and even listens when i say ive diagnosed myself from dr goggle haha

SecretSparkle · 11/07/2012 12:33

aren't smears every 3 years? face I really do think you should be pushing for every test known to man

cartoonface · 11/07/2012 12:17

i think my last one was a couple of yrs ago the doc said its not due yet. ive had two already and it must be fairly soon the next one but i cant remeber how many years it is? i had my first smear early b ecause i was worried i wonder if i should push this a bit more

keepitgoing · 11/07/2012 12:03

that's good face
i have had bleeding in the past, and got a smear test. are you up to date with yours? It's more likely something to do with the m/c, I would think (though know nothing really) but i would mention it to your GP and definitely at your gynae appointment.

cartoonface · 11/07/2012 11:36

keep im even suprising myself at how ok i seem to be i think i was more prepared this time. and now i know we are seeing someone it feels good to know it'll all get sorted. probably right about the month off and then depending on what the clinic says decide when to begin trying again as i have to consider our wedding in may next yr.
i have TMI question, does anyone get bleeding at times after sex.
we did it last week and i had some but may have been the tail end after d&c even though it had seemed to have stopped. however this does happen sometimes and has for yrs. does anyone else get this? am sure is not an sti have been tested several times although was told something about a cyst on my cervix. wonder if i should mention this at my appointmnet? x

GreenOlives · 11/07/2012 11:11

keepitgoing · 11/07/2012 11:07

BartletForAmerica · 11/07/2012 11:03

I had better bagsy Friday while I still can then! I am SO offended that you think my dear, darling child's name is boring, Little.

cartoonface · 11/07/2012 11:02

NoMaybeAboutIt · 11/07/2012 10:55

I like it Little. Very 2013.

TheLittleFriend · 11/07/2012 10:43

Imps I think I'll take Whammy. Tripe is yuk, Friday a bit boring maybe.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 11/07/2012 10:39

Seriously, we should be script writers Wink

Face it must be strange. How long till that appointment now?

Sparks he was indeed Wink

Imps7 · 11/07/2012 10:21

And I can be BFP Wan Kenobi.

Excellent egg pop page skills Maybe. Hurrah for pant snot and having the horn!

SecretSparkle · 11/07/2012 10:03

maybe Huzzah indeed!!!!! yay for ovulating, I assume hubby was happy to oblige?! wish I could see the look on your docs face when you stick two fingers up at him, waving that gorgeous BFP!!!

cartoonface · 11/07/2012 10:03

its very strange knowing that i have to try to not be preg before we've seen the specialist and had some tests done when thats the one thing we want

NoMaybeAboutIt · 11/07/2012 09:58

Good luck Gen how exciting Smile

Boo his poor bum. Though i did Grin just a little bit.

Solars I am Shock that they said that. Complain! I would. And you are so far from huge, it's a joke.

Imps I too love your film idea. Can I be chew-smacker?

Little that is amazing news, I am so pleased for you lovely.

I think I may have ov'd! Huzzah! Well, I have a temp spike, crazy pant snot and was like a dog on heat. Much more than normal, and it would be day 18, which isn't too shabby!

Keep and Scarlett it sounds like you both had very positive days yesterday, I am so pleased for both of you. And great news about getting your tests in Keep. My AF is due the day before my appointment (if I have ov'd) which will be perfect timing!

SecretSparkle · 11/07/2012 09:36

good luck Gen

GenericDietCola · 11/07/2012 09:15

Oh yay for all the good news yesterday Keep, Scarlett and Little! Sorry I couldn't get online yesterday, but I have been thinking of you all.

Solars I'm glad you are staying positive and are thinking about other things like egg donation. Re the change to the guidelines, the revised NICE guidance is due out in October, so I would suggest writing a letter of complaint now and referencing that news article. And of course you're still only 39 at the moment, so I think it's wrong that you are being denied treatment in any case. Especially given the delays.

Sparks you are slim and gorgeous and that woman is a moron!

Imps it's lovely to see you around so much! And I love your Rat Wars idea.

Boo poor poorly bum - hope he gets better soon!

I'm telling work today - wish me luck! Although my colleague guessed yesterday and apparently 'everyone already knows'. Oh well!

SecretSparkle · 11/07/2012 09:02

Imps that would be amazeballs, except according to FF I'm now 6DPO Hmm gut instinct says thats just daft, although if I look at my chart side ways and squint the recent drop in temp could be stupidly early implantation!!! So nice to have a 2WW buddy though, and I certainly look forward to filming Rat Wars - Attack of the postive p-sticks!! Can I be princess laya (sp?) as I wouldn't mind getting funky with Harrison Ford :o

Oh and isn't Friday an actual name?

I've just been insulted by the canteen staff, I went in to order some brekkie, slimming world friendly, bacon, beans and tomato. They kept offering toast and sausage but I didnt want any!! Then just as I was paying up the woman at the till went to the other woman, "Some women on diets think carbs are really bad for you, funny it's never the skinny ones that think that" Shock I'm thinking a strongly worded email to the manager might be in order, Im not exactly massive!!!

Imps7 · 11/07/2012 08:01

I've just read back and noted that I haven't said "hurrah" to Little - I saw your post last night and thought hurrah but clearly didn't get around to posting it. Really excited for you! Tripe Whammy Friday still rules the most! Oooh I have an idea - there are 3 Tripe Whammy Friday brookers and 3 words in Tripe Whammy Friday - each of use can use one of the words for your baby's name! First come, first choose...

Imps7 · 11/07/2012 07:53

Oh, Boo - tell your son that I'm sorry about his bum. Am sure he'll appreciate that Grin

Imps7 · 11/07/2012 07:46

Morning all! Sparks we're DPO buddies - I'm 3 DPO too (my favourite DPO - sounds like a Star Wars character. Maybe we would write a Rat Wars film and one of the heros can be a big stick called 3-DPO).

Solars how are you doing this morning? I read yesterday that 30,000 women over 40 gave birth last year - 20,000 more than 20 (I think) years ago. You will be part of that statistic next year and that is that. Remind me what your and DH's test results said?

Another grey day - it's playing havoc with my veg patch. Nothing's growing as it should be - I've had to start from scratch with my turnips andy broad bean plants have produced next to nothing. Aha the perils of the gardener.

SecretSparkle · 10/07/2012 23:30

Some really great news coming through today GrinGrin yay for all our positive brookers!!

boo not really sure who is next to confirm, ive totes lost track!! Assuming my temps are rubbish and my CBFM is accurate im 3DPO so just in the 2ww.... Boring.... But heroically keeping up with dtd!! Checking back the latest we've ever dtd is on my second peak, so surely we're in for a better luck this month?!

I really should be trying to sleep, hubby has just told me off for staying up late!! Seriously am I 5?!!!!

Princesslovelyboo · 10/07/2012 21:12

Evening brookers

What fantastic news you have had, agreeable Doctors is brilliant news!!

I have been a busy brooker, my teenager fell off his trampoline yesterday and broke his bum (hurt his coxic (sp?) but it sounds better to keep telling him he broke his bum) We spent most of last night in Minor Injuries and all of today gingerly getting off and on the sofa. poor lad, and he is of course of an age when he does not want me to have a look at him to see of the bruising is coming out Blush
