Symptoms but -ve pg test - confused

Hi all

I'm on day 23 of my cycle and for the past couple of days I've been feeling mildly sick and have had slightly sensitive boobs. I know it's early but I did a test yesterday and today with the First Response 6 days early one and they were both negative.

I'm confused as I am having symptoms - has anyone had something similar and then found out they were pregnant?

Very excited, and terrified as I already have 2, one being 7 months!

MrsBradleyCooper · 06/07/2012 13:52

Oooh seven77 - sounds very promising...! How are you feeling?

If I hold today's test towards the window I'm certain there IS a very very faint line.

MrsBradleyCooper · 04/07/2012 20:38

Sorry to hear that Jaffa - hope you are ok x

No need AF has arrived..

Thanks for the advice. Wishing us all BFP soon

seven77 · 03/07/2012 22:22

Not meaning to be awkward but I wouldn't use clearblue digital. With DD I used one when I got my faint + on tesco and first response, CB digital said 'not pregnant'. Having said that I know loads of women recommend them so maybe mine was faulty?! At nearly £10 each though I won't be using one again!

MrsHelsBels74 · 03/07/2012 21:29

Well I was a week late before I got a positive result so it might be worth waiting a few more days (I know how hard it is though!).
As I said clearblue digital are expensive but they are not open to misinterpretation.

MrsBradleyCooper · 03/07/2012 20:46

I second the clearblue digital. I was getting no lines on the tests I was doing and then did a digi and it came up pregnant pretty quickly.

Are you normally quite regular? Do you think you could have ovulated late?

I've had no faint lines at all MrsHels....not really sure what to do, don't want to waste the Clearblue but at the same time feed up with waiting for AF to arrive. Do you think i might be too early to test?

MrsHelsBels74 · 03/07/2012 20:21

Clearblue digital is your friend if you're unsure...no faint lines just 'pregnant' or 'not pregnant' spelled out! Not cheap though so I tend to use them only if I'm not 100%

jaffacakehips · 03/07/2012 20:00

I've been useing...first response and the cheap ones from Superdrug and Tesco.

Have a Clueblue one which i've not used yet.

Any suggestions MrsBradley?

MrsBradleyCooper · 03/07/2012 19:50

What tests have you been using Jaffacakehips?

Hello, Congrats to those of you with lovely BFP! Hurrah.

My AF was due on the 29th June, yet i've had 5 BFN Hmm POAS is becoming part my new morning routine. I also have some systems. Sore boobs, which also feel very firm. My smell has gone blood hound crazy and this afternoon I felt very sick. So glad I have a 16 month old the run around after..Grin Going to see the GP on Friday is the clock of doom hasn't arrived.

Anyone got any bright ideas...as why I haven't got my AF yet?

seven77 · 03/07/2012 18:25

My DD was conceived on cycle 4, so good luck.

My test may have had a very very faint line, though not dark enough to convince me I as really seeing it if that makes sense? Still no AF though ...

PuppyMummy · 03/07/2012 17:04

thanks MrsBradleycooper.

yes I'm fine. I feel better now I know what's going on! was only our 3rd cycle ttc so not at stressing stage yet!

bring on cycle 4!

MrsHelsBels74 · 03/07/2012 08:27

Sorry, I'm not quite awake here & only skimmed the thread before posting...

MrsHelsBels74 · 03/07/2012 08:25

This time round I took about 6 pregnancy tests & it was a week after I was due on before I got a positive. I too was absolutely convinced I was pregnant but the tears said otherwise, it was very frustrating but got my positive eventually!

MrsBradleyCooper · 03/07/2012 08:22

Aw sorry PuppyMummy, hope you're ok?
At least you know now and you can try again xx

obviously not as regular as I thought!
af here today!

MrsBradleyCooper · 02/07/2012 18:39

PuppyMummy - I was feeling crampy all day yesterday and I was absolutely convinced it was Af on it's way!

I was SO shocked when I got the BFP so you never know...... Especially as you are late.....

quite regular. I came off the pill in Jan before starting to ttc. started trying end of April. since Jan they have been from 22 to 24 days but generally 23. I'm now on day 26. am feeling quite crampy this eve so to be honest expecting af although no sign yet...

seven77 · 02/07/2012 13:17

I think you're sensible not testing again until then. The only reason I'm not testing obsessively is because I've been in this situation before, I must have wasted around £50 on tests last time! I've got a pack coming on my tesco order tonight hence testing tomorrow morning. I've only done one so far on the day AF was due.

Are you normally very regular?

PuppyMummy · 02/07/2012 13:06

seven77 i'm glad your in the same boat (is that horrible? I don't mean I'm glad - i'm sorry you don't have a bfp yet but its nice to have someone to share the wierdness with!)

I am now 2 days late - 3 if you count Friday... and still no sign of af...

I have used all the tests I had and no more in house so I am def not testing til Friday now because its driving me crazy wondering so I am putting it out of my head. So we will see if af turns up before then...

seven77 · 02/07/2012 09:18

Congratulations!

When I got my very faint 8 days late BFP it was a first response, CB digital still showed negative. It's not over until AF arrives. Still no AF here, I'm testing tomorrow morning.
