Welcome to the 2.30 from Mumsnet Towers. The fillies have been groomed to within an inch of their lives and are raring to go.

Late entries for the race are required to locate and fill in the BESHtionnaire so that their form can be assessed.

Bring on the stallions!

Sorry about the bad nights of sleep and the stressful days at work. As everybody is on holidays, I am working from home. And we decided to take an impromptu day off tomorrow or Wednesday because it is SUNNY.

Sorry about my absence yesterday, I went for a swim (YAY first since broken bones, still sore, how unfair is that!?!?) and an hour cycle ride. In between we had a friend for brunch, who was treated to massive amounts of lovely food. And I have rediscovered crochet, which combines badly with MN-ing in the everning.

I did wake up at 5am though, and then SB proceeded to get up at early o'clock as well, although he gets bonus points for making fresh OJ and things.

Some bad stuff happening as well, just to make sure you don't think everything is perfect in the lemon-household. We went to IKEA, although we didn't fall out we came home with precisely nothing we needed. And the dishwasher packed it, after aforementioned extensive brunch - not good. and at risk of TMI I am very windy, which freaks me out, since it is the only clear side-effect I have from the hcg trigger shot, which I didn't have this month

HaveALittleFaith · 23/07/2012 07:04

I don't want to go in either norf. Work is in turmoil and I'd rather just not be there!

Northey · 23/07/2012 06:57

First proper day back today. Am trying not to fret over blackberry on the train, and instead admire the fields and think tranquil thoughts.

FriendofDorothy · 23/07/2012 05:58

I have been woken up early by the idiot cat. hot here too tho.

Northey · 23/07/2012 05:56

A crappy night's sleep :( Too hot and airless. And full of weird dreams whenever I did get some sleep. And I miss AMNH, though frankly he would be an unattractive bed partner in such heat anyway. And I don't want to go back to work today.

HaveALittleFaith · 22/07/2012 21:53

Stripy lawns. Interesting! I really hope it holds out too. We go camping from Saturday!

CaveMum · 22/07/2012 21:39

I have strimmed round the edge of the lawn.

Striping would, I suspect, leave the neighbours in need of therapy Grin

I've been checking in through the day to see if anyone's about but didn't post as I suspected I'd be chatting to myself!

Today I have worked out on my Wii, weeded the flower beds, striped round the edges of the lawn and generally pottered around the house. HWHNN flew at 10.30 this morning so should be arriving at his destination fairly soon.

Really hope this weather holds out - I've been in shorts all day! [scaring the neighbourhood with my pasty white legs]

Crikey, do the BESH go into hiding when the sun comes out?!

We went for the walk (about 5.5k) and I got a bit of gardening done. Think I've caught the sun! BBQ tea (mmm kebabs) and we've just watch The Inbetweeners movie again Worst of the droid has passed now thank goodness.

What have you lot been up to?

HaveALittleFaith · 22/07/2012 11:18

Good idea to save the clomid cavester.

I am feeling rather bleurgh. Didn't get up in time for church. MSB has agreed to come for a walk with me in a min which is good. I'm glad it's Sunday, I wouldn't want to work in this mood.

On a cheerful note, I have started a chat thread that might be taking off - chip in! its here

CaveMum · 21/07/2012 23:22

I'm watching Casino Royale with the cat. HWHNN has gone back to base as he flies off for a work thing tomorrow morning. I won't see him again until 3rd August (CD 20) so just watch me ovulate on a "normal" day now Hmm Angry

When we found out he was going for such a long time I stopped taking the left over Clomid, so I've still got some left for the ne t cycle if need be.

One is a gold. Jain. The other is like a big chunky thing with pearls all over it. It held in the middle by elastic. I can't get to the chain to pull it out because of the pearls. Nightmare. He says he will have a go tomorrow.

Sunshine was nice. I got a bit of gardening done and we had a BBQ at my sisters tonight but I was feeling like crap so we left early

Enjoy the gin sink.

sinkingflameofhilarity · 21/07/2012 22:30

Grin I love your Frankle updates cave!

Can you not get MSB to try and untangle the necklace knots faife?

Just home, after a Looong day at work. Found the gin and tonic though, so in a good place at the mo.

Everyone enjoy the intermittent sun today? I enjoys looking at it out the window.. Envy

HaveALittleFaith · 21/07/2012 22:11

You're like, ?, excited?

Grr my (relatively new chain has got tangled in a complicated beaded necklace from a friend. I've been trying to remove it for ages. I think the only answer is to snip it Confused

Northey · 21/07/2012 20:13

Not that you're stalking him, or anything :)

CaveMum · 21/07/2012 17:47

Don't know why that random "?" appeared!

OP posts:
CaveMum · 21/07/2012 17:46

He lives at Warren Place Stables in Newmarket? When he is retired to stud he'll move just outside the town to his owners Banstead Manor Stud

You are such a groupie! Where does Frankel live, anyway?

CaveMum · 21/07/2012 16:43

He was in one if those dodgy straight-to-tv sea monster films called Killer Squid (or the like). HWHNN refers to him as Van Der Forehead - he's not wrong Grin

In exciting news, I've managed to tag on to a visit to Frankel's stable yard next week. It's nigh on impossible to get a visit due to security, etc so that's very exciting. I'm then heading to Goodwood the week after to watch him race again [groupie]

Lean, but still massive of head...

Dress was sale stock, cavelina, and isn't on the monsoon website. When I'm a bit thinner I might put up a photo of me wearing it for you to laugh at admire. But I have just eaten practically a whole loaf of bread on my own, so am a bit too bloated for it at the moment.

Shoes sound nice, faify! Tell MSB to buy you some new ones if he doesn't like them and then keep the old ones anyway.

HaveALittleFaith · 21/07/2012 14:30

Yes I very much enjoyed it cavey! He's much leaner these days, isn't he?

CaveMum · 21/07/2012 14:21

Oooo, any links to your wedding dress Norf? I'll show you mine if you show me yours.

Oh, and have a [fish slap] for calling yourself ugly.

Faithy have you watched Don't Trust The Bitch in Apartment 23? I luff it, 'tis hilarious. It's got James van der Shnooz in it playing a parody of himself trying to trade his way through life on his Dawsons Creek fame Grin

OP posts:
HaveALittleFaith · 21/07/2012 14:05

But of course norf. Life is full of irony like that!

One third of the front of the garden hacked back in last hour and half but frankly (or should it be Frankel?!) it's too darn hot to do much more. I'm off into town a bit later for a contact check and to return some shoes. They're nude wedge heels but they're just too high and I feel like an idiot in them. I think they look like stripper heels but MSB was slightly less flattering. Just hope they'll say ok coz it's been over a month...

Northey · 21/07/2012 12:34

I am hoping, naturally, that the purchase of a wedding dress will make me updiffed so I can no longer fit into it. I'm sure that's how it's meant to work.

Northey · 21/07/2012 12:26

I am also hideously broad shouldered and loathsomely ugly so I feel at a huge disadvantage anyway!
