Welcome to the 2.30 from Mumsnet Towers. The fillies have been groomed to within an inch of their lives and are raring to go.

Late entries for the race are required to locate and fill in the BESHtionnaire so that their form can be assessed.

Bring on the stallions!

I'm a little bit scared of horses. They are so big. How many hands is Frankel?

CaveMum · 26/06/2012 09:13

Still, can't be good for TTC either way, Faithey

Yup, seeing Frankel is tres exciting [ignores fact she'll be there with 20-odd other people] Its hard to explain to non-racing people, but put simply he's one of, if not the, best racehorse to have ever lived Grin
That's not just my opinion, there are groups of people across the world whose job it is to assess each horse and give it a rating. The current highest rating is for a horse called Sea-Bird who raced in the 1960s and was rated 145. Frankel has been given a provisional rating this year (final rating at the end of the year) of 147!

Argh post eaten. In summary, it's not an infection as such cave but it's definitely limited the efforts to TTC. I keep thinking its x cycles since MSB was treated but 2 of those I was out of action! I need to relax about things I know.

Beware of the biting stallion! Exciting to see him close up though yes?!

CaveMum · 26/06/2012 08:19

BTW, and I know you lot will enjoy laughing at my Frankel obsession, but I've managed to tag myself on to a private visit to his trainer's yard next month, so I'm hoping for the opportunity of lots of photos. Won't get within touching distance though, he's just been valued at £100,000,000 and is under 24 hour CCTV. Plus, he bites Grin

Faith, is it possible that this infection could be stopping you from getting diffed? If your body is trying to fight off an infection, it may not be able to concentrate on diffage, particularly if the problem is in the plumbing department.

Norf, we are a superstitious bunch in the racing world. It usually boils down to lucky clothing, routines, etc. no spells or anything like that Wink

Good Luck for this morning bugs

faif good to see that you are being taken seriously and they are going to investigate properly.

I have knackered my right shoulder. Can't follow my usual regime of ibru/ice pack so i'm going to have to see my GP for advice on how to deal with it. My arm is really quite weak as a result and it's making it very difficult to do even simple things like put on the kettle or stir soup while heating it.

FriendofDorothy · 26/06/2012 07:40

Good luck bugsy

Northey · 26/06/2012 07:29

Hey! Goats are eating my piss sticks!

LauraPalmerish · 26/06/2012 07:25

Aren't you meant to put a goat in the stall to keep the horse calm the night before a big race?

Happy thoughts for today, Bugsy

Northey · 26/06/2012 07:21

Does horse-racing have good luck rituals, cave?

CaveMum · 26/06/2012 07:17

Sorry to hear that Faith, definite cause for an appeal to the Stweards Sad

Bugs we are all here rooting for you. Hope the scan goes well.

Definitely, day 1 battle of the somme. Just passed the 2 year 6 month anniversary of TTC 'twas Christmas Eve babe.... but hey ho, probably better not to be diffed when they put me under.

Northey · 26/06/2012 07:04

:( fee I'm sorry. Definitely droid as normal, or could there be a stewards' inquiry?

HaveALittleFaith · 26/06/2012 06:48

All the Best for this morning bugs. Rooting for a win!

Droid's arrived here overnight. Sad but not unexpected. When will it happen?!

alwyn · 26/06/2012 06:06

[gives bugs a gentle squeeze]

Good luck today, hope you get the news you deserve.

I'm engaging in woo today as well, having my second lot of reflexology. It was so relaxing last time, I can't wait!

Still don't feel diffed (and sneaky POASing comes up with BFNs), and Droid is due sometime this week. Will be a bit gutted but not surprised really.

Northey · 26/06/2012 05:42

Shock at humane killing of ^faif's* buzzwams!

bugs, how did you sleep?

CaveMum · 25/06/2012 22:59

Hola chicas.

Stick in there dor. When is scan tomorrow? I think it might be the time to indulge in some sneaky BESH hand holding. Maybe cave will cast a spell or two.

Yay and a win by 30 lenghts to norfs tenders bazookas. (is that horsey racing speak?). Fall at the first fence and appointment with a vet and a shotgun for faifes poorly behaving buzz warms

Maybe, if the superhero fred idea doesnt work out, we could go with a world of woo feem. Go on cave, you know you want to start another one

HaveALittleFaith · 25/06/2012 22:26

with flowers in your hair and nowt on your feet

My buzzwams are shrinking and less tender. The mooncup has been sterilised.

Northey · 25/06/2012 22:09

Yes, yes, hypno-doda whilst dancing around Stonehenge in your nightie, you massive woo-monger :o
