Welcome to the 2.30 from Mumsnet Towers. The fillies have been groomed to within an inch of their lives and are raring to go.

Late entries for the race are required to locate and fill in the BESHtionnaire so that their form can be assessed.

Bring on the stallions!

Hi LP. Did the consultant say what the progesterone will be treating? And if there are any downsides/negative side effects (aside from the obvious daily shoving of things in your orifice type downside) ?

LauraPalmerish · 26/06/2012 20:09

So. This is an almost word-for-word repeat post that I'm sending out to all the ESH freds because I need some ESHwisdom...

I spoke with my GP and I've got some decisions to make but I'm really confused. The recurrent-MC consultant is offering me progesterone (suppositories!), to take through week 12 as a reassurance against another MC. They're also taking my 10 week antenatal bloods early to run extra tests to check for potential clotting issues. The blood tests are straight forward, but I'm not sure of what I should do regarding the progesterone?

Any thoughts or experiences with the progesterone?

I've got an attitude of 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'. We've had a good scan, seen a healthy heartbeat. But we saw the heartbeat with our first pg and still it ended badly, so I want to give this little grublet every chance possible if I do have some as-of-yet undiagnosed recurrent MC issue.

What to do, what to do???

CamelKnees · 26/06/2012 19:48

Northey - mammaries may just be toughening up under extreme squeezing?? How does the womble feel?

Alwyn - I am like a pee stick hoarder. How did Asda's selection look? Haven't browsed in there yet. Must try to keep purchasing under control though. A this rate will be found dead under collapsed mountain of fertility aids like some mental Hoarder Next Door type

Northey · 26/06/2012 19:43

Based on last cycle I could be due on Sunday, allypally. We are almost cycle twins.

Train still creeping...

CamelKnees · 26/06/2012 19:41

Oh bugster you've got a slug!!!!! Completely and utterly thrilled for you love. Have been in work with no sodding phone since 7:30 this morning. was holding my breath checking for your post just now. PUPO PUPO PUPO PUPO!!!!!!

cavey - I like the Frankel merchandise - he's a proper superstar! He should start a range of his own fertility merch. Like you POAS and in the event of diffage you get his big horsey face

Faif there might be something in this immune system interfering with diffage malarkey. Have you seen the TTC on Prendisolone thread? I was snooping around on there a while ago and there's this whole school of thought about some women's natural immune system being hostile to pregnancies, (sorry if this is something you already know about - it was news to me). Think Prendisolone is the drug some of them take to suppress an over enthusiastic immune system. Not suggesting you need to do that but is kind of similar.

I am behind sick of sore boobies, random spotting, sore womble and a million BFNs.

alwyn · 26/06/2012 19:30

Eyed up the pregnancy tests in Asda today. Need to get a grip!! I'm not even close to being late (Droid not due until around Thursday/Friday) so it could all be over for this month by then!!

HaveALittleFaith · 26/06/2012 19:24

Boo hiss to less tender buzzwams and snaily trains :(

MSB has had a fish tank off a friend. Looks nice - no fish yet, waiting for it to settle - but the filter is on. Not helping my urinary ishoos! Want to wee all the time!

Northey · 26/06/2012 19:19

On a nightmare journey home. Station was chaos and train is being overtaken by passing snails. Worst of all, I only have 20% battery left.

Am passing the time with quite shameless tit-squeezing. Verdict - less tender today than yesterday. Bah.

HaveALittleFaith · 26/06/2012 18:27

I like that mantra euro!

I've shopped and found gluten free chicken nuggets. Mega unhealthy but exciting tea. I haven't had chicken nuggets for about 4 years! I have also cleaned the bathroom since I came home. I'm trying to do 20-30 minutes housework per night so I'm not overwhelmed. 2 days in - so far, so good!

eurochick · 26/06/2012 18:10

The mantra on the Pred thread is PUPO - pregnant until proved otherwise. I rather like it. It isn't breezing through pregnancy without a second thought but it does mean that today you are pregnant. :)

CaveMum · 26/06/2012 18:04

Left over spag bol for me tonight. That and more work on this assignment. It's got a 1500 word limit, I've currently written 1700 and still have to write my conclusion Confused
