Welcome to the 2.30 from Mumsnet Towers. The fillies have been groomed to within an inch of their lives and are raring to go.

Late entries for the race are required to locate and fill in the BESHtionnaire so that their form can be assessed.

Bring on the stallions!

Yes it kind of is although I would see our circumstances as transient obviously sexuality isn't! I'm frustrated that we've been finally stable for a while, desperately want a baybee yet every time we get over a crisis - sometimes not even before! - another one comes along. MSB is wondering if God's really there, I just feel like He's not interested in us! Confused I know we'll get through it, it's just wondering how much we can take?!
I actually work with a chaplain who is a Cannon at the cathedral and is gay and lives with his partner. I often wonder how the church reacted to it - he was married and has children.
Oh wow, I am watching Supersize vs Superskinny. Make me feel a bit better - I can't wait to be well enough to exercise again!.

sinkingflameofhilarity · 27/06/2012 20:03

faife, I'm an atheist through and through, but have a couple of really good friends, one being catholic (Spanish catholic no less) and the other church of Scotland. Both are gay. And that threw up a massive can of worms, with all the extra levels of acceptance they had to work through. Both v happy now however, and both still have their faith.

In my very non-religious brain, is that a similar situation? You know what you are/ you are going through, and just can't reconcile that with the deity you thought you knew?

HaveALittleFaith · 27/06/2012 19:35

Sorry to hear you're feeling pants euro no advice really just sympathy. Hmm misspelt that and it came up as sunbathe, sunbathing might help?!

sinky I totally sometimes feel like that. Almost worse being a Christian and believing everything is part of a big plan - why do people like that get diffed and often without trying or wanting to? When likes of us want to get diffed and could provide a stable home and don't?! may be struggling with my faith a bit

Well my cleaning mission continues on with the living room. I do feel better about that side of things!

sinkingflameofhilarity · 27/06/2012 15:39

Sorry you feel so crap euro. Much sympathy. Any chance of an early finish?

dor, I had to walk past a gaggle of 5 heavily pregnant women smoking at the hospital entrance this morning. I gave them a stern stare then ran away. I really don't like the feeling I get that I deserve a baby more than them. Bad thoughts.

norf- this is me waiting to go to a different unit, I've exhausted all the previous had to offer. Irritatingly the clomid plus drilling seemed to have me on a regular, if long cycle. This was to be my last clomid cycle anyway, but seem to have got stuck. Have a supply of Provera, but it seems a little pointless, so going to stick it out till the clinic.

faife, think I will ring, if I can find a private corner..

Northey · 27/06/2012 13:02

Poor euro. An it's awful dealing with it all at work as well. I wish I knew what to suggest. Can you get away early and cry like a loon on the tube?

I am at a conference about attachment theory. Who knew there were so many ways to fuck children up?!

eurochick · 27/06/2012 11:36

Morning BESH. I am properly mizz this morning. I am more Eeyore like than Fury today. I fvking hate these drugs. I fvking hate this process.

HaveALittleFaith · 27/06/2012 08:30

Does this mean I'm still on the running with my guess/bet?!

I would ring again. Look at me when I pushed got an appt a week later. Make a nuisance of yourself til they get you sorted to shut you up

Worst of droid is over (CD1 always bad) and the cramps are ok when I'm taking 30mg codiene anyway! Could just put head on desk and sleeeeeep.....

Northey · 27/06/2012 07:40

I'm a hopelessly early riser, sink.

CD63?? Is this appointment your first, to start considering what to do?

sinkingflameofhilarity · 27/06/2012 07:20

Morning norf. Why up so early?

Am v proud - when for a horrible run last evening, but now feel suitably jelly legged and virtuos.

Only cd 63 here, miscounted at my last cycle-watch update.. Blush. Still not heard any thing from hospital. When I rang last week the lady said ring back if. Heard nothing. Does a cancellation letter count as something? (something to menkul about in absence of 2ww)

Northey · 27/06/2012 05:53

The buzzwams are utterly utterly normal this morning. Which leaves me without a single thing to menkul over, apart from the insane amount in eating, but honestly I think that's just greed. How are yours, ferret?

ShredniVashtar · 26/06/2012 22:53

Sounds like you've reached a good decision, lapalmer. You'll just have to brazen out the parping or blame it on nearest colleague/ family member.

Step away from the pee sticks, alwyn! Tis too early to test.

North, I'm also groping buzzwams here. Can't work out if they're sore in and of themselves, or because I've been wearing a bra that's on the small side! Can you imagine a documentary about the BESH? Geordie VoiceOver: it's cycle day 24 in the ESH house. northey and shred are feeling their tits, while cave is dreaming of Frankel...

LauraPalmerish · 26/06/2012 21:53

I just created a new fred looking for some other MNtters experiences of progesterone, but I think you all have already helpe me decide - thank you. I can't imagine an ESHless existence.

'night all!

Northey · 26/06/2012 21:38

Hot date with our favourite stallion, is it? :)

LP are you still living apart mid week? If so, at least you can trumpet unreproached all night.

HaveALittleFaith · 26/06/2012 21:37

Ooh cavey you party animal! Grin

CaveMum · 26/06/2012 21:34

My BF, who is pregnant now, had to deal with her mum's cancer diagnosis and death last year while TTC. She swears it had a major effec: her mind wasn't in the right place, so her body wasn't either.

I think we underestimate how sensitive our bodies are at times.

Right, I'm off to bed. I'm knackered and have a swanky black-tie do to go to tomorrow night so need my beauty sleep.

Laterz!

norf I believe Sarah Millican refers to it as #brt bra removal time Enjoy!

I think between the stress of the fire and my being ill - especially because I've not been exercising which has made me feel unfit and a but miserable!- I know it's had an impact on TTC. Just hoping when it's sorted it'll come good.

Lorlor might be worth taking some probiotics - yoghurts will work - to help your gut stay as healthy as possible?!

CamelKnees · 26/06/2012 21:24

LP sounds like a done deal to me. Take the drugs and we shall rename you Windy Winston Grin

CamelKnees · 26/06/2012 21:23

Ah yes Ms North I am familiar with the dramatic bra removal. I find the whole motion can be rendered even more of an event with a slight lean forward of the shoulders. Unorthodox yes but it allows the jublees to swing free from the body and fall with their full weight without hitting my tubby torso on the way down

Happy swinging

LauraPalmerish · 26/06/2012 21:21

Faifette I also think the immunity ishoos-ttc ishoos might have a link. Definitely worth an investigation.

'Master orator' Grin

LauraPalmerish · 26/06/2012 21:18

Glad you finally made it home Norfy - I was having travel ishoos, too.

Thanks for your responses. I think that maybe I'll go ahead and take the progesterone. The side effects are apparently minimal for taking it for such a short time (only 4-5 weeks total), so I won't grow extra thick hairs...but I may have (ahem) a little extra gas Blush and a touch of the runs Blush.

Northey · 26/06/2012 21:08

Made it home in the end. But it took four times as long as usual. I even read the sports pages, I was so bored.

camel, my womble feels depressingly unexceptional. Am preparing to take my bra off in an over dramatic stylee, to check whether the buzzwams fall more heavily than usual.

palmerosa, I would take the stuff. Assuming there isn't a known downside of progesterone overdose. If it doesn't hurt, and it might help, why wouldn't you?*

  • I know there are lots of reasons why people might not want to. I was speaking rhetorically, like the master orator what I am.
HaveALittleFaith · 26/06/2012 20:28

Hiya lors I'm no expert! What's the against for the progesterone aside from the route! I know you're a couple of weeks away from when you previously knew you MC'd before but do you know when did MC if that makes sense I think I'd be inclined to take it personally just from a personality - I think I'd think if they recommended it, I'd go for it. But like you say, I'd it ain't broke... No real advice, no experience, just gut instinct!

I hadn't thought of it in terms of immunity. Interesting notion though! I just need to relax until I'm treated. Frustrating timing but life seems to have been like that for the last couple of years!

I'm not sure how to play the pee stick game. I thought having cheapies would help but I went menkul testing! I'm inclined not to buy any more.
