Welcome to the 2.30 from Mumsnet Towers. The fillies have been groomed to within an inch of their lives and are raring to go.

Late entries for the race are required to locate and fill in the BESHtionnaire so that their form can be assessed.

Bring on the stallions!

Heh@horse hooker!

In TMI news, I think sludgegate might finally have stopped. I have had two consecutive wees now with no sign of sludge.

I'm in the office today. Boooooooo. I'm behind due to all the hospital appointments and menkulling! Still, at least I have the theatre to look forward to this evening.

alwyn · 07/07/2012 13:02

[laughing quietly to myself about the horse hookers!]

Have decided being a specs wearer trying to watch TV while holding legs in the air to maximise the aid of gravity is hard. Then I needed to pee, classy bird that I am.

CamelKnees · 06/07/2012 21:55

Ha!! Now there's something you don't get called everyday cavey!!!

CaveMum · 06/07/2012 21:34

"Horse hooker", that's how HWHNN used to describe my old job Grin, though I was more a horse pimp I feel Wink

Evening BESH!

Love the gymkhana of sechs norfy that has really made me Grin.

Makes me think of random night out in a previously untested nightclub (years ago clearly).

Stood outside and music sounded good.

Then got to the front of the queue to be greeted by two hostesses with clipboards doing the usual guest list checking off. So far so standard night out.

Except they were dressed in latex outfits with riding hats on with big long faux pony tails and carrying whips!!! We were a bit concerned that it was a sechs club for sechs people into horses or similar. Clearly had to go in to find out......

and it was a bit of an anti-climax.

No one swinging from the light fixtures or wearing a saddle. just normal nightclub. Never did find out why they were dressed as horse hookers.

Anyway hope everyone else is good. bugs still thinking of you lots.

Not much to report here except the menkulling has begun. Latest OV date (at best guestimate) is today so officially in 2WW. Somehow just don't feel like we've done it. Can't put my finger on why.

HaveALittleFaith · 06/07/2012 21:19

Yes 3 1/2 months after I was admitted they have given me a pretty form diagnosis. I saw a urologist last week who thinks its a blockage in my urinary tract - possibly due to a kidney stone that's got stuck. He said no point in doing more scans, he think the best thing is to put a camera and due up my waterworks tube makes a change from the fanjo! to see what's there and hopefully clear the blockage in one go. They're going to give me a GA so I'll be none the wiser!

AlpinePony · 06/07/2012 21:13

Oh fuck kbd ate my post.

I must've missed something, they actually found out what was wrong with you and have a solution to tackle it? Shock I do hope this means you're on the mend.

I can also understand your loving being at home. When I was younger I had such terrible wanderlust I couldn't even commit to a country never mind a town. These days I get angsty when I'm more than a few nights from home.

Yes, he is utterly adorable and snuggly - and a total mini-me - he looks exactly like me which is so bizarre. Let's just not mention the undiagnosed reflux eh?

HaveALittleFaith · 06/07/2012 21:04

Aw I can just imagine it. Whenever we hear from you I imagine that snuffly lickle baybee and remember what this process is all about! I get a bit too focussed on that illusion BFP!

Give cup my luff! X-country sounds exciting!

I'm ok thanks, still struggling a bit with this ongoing pain but hoping my op date will be here soon to get rid of it! Not convinced I'll get diffed until I get that fixed but it means I'm more relaxed about things in the meantime.
Otherwise ishoos with work have improved and the house is looking luffly! so nice to be home just doing normal things like slobbing on the sofa watching telly and MNetting. Ah broadband. Ah, recordable tv Grin

AlpinePony · 06/07/2012 20:54

'ello fayff The foal is doing fine, he is currently snoozing open-mouthed on the sofa next to me. One hand has escaped from the top of his swaddle, the other from the middle. Hmm I am orf to watch the x-country in Germany tomorrow with cupofbrownjoy - we're going to cheer on TeamGB before the olympics. Rah rah rah! What's new with you?

HaveALittleFaith · 06/07/2012 20:08

Hiya pone how you and the foal diddling?

AlpinePony · 06/07/2012 18:24

Oooh went to see that for my 18th, a classic. The book is brilliant (obviously) - still prefer the BBC (?) Adaptation to the harry potter one.

LauraPalmer · 06/07/2012 18:08

The Woman in Black will be good fun Euro - just don't sit in the last row like I did...scared the bejesus out of me! I spent half the show turning around expecting to see someone standing right behind me.

Nipple rosettes=brilliant!

Shag on, laydees, shag on.

HaveALittleFaith · 06/07/2012 17:30

Ooh that sounds luffly euro! the night out not the work nice to have something fun planned. Having said that, we have very little planned this weekend and I can't wait! It's been a mental few weeks, got a wedding next weekend. It'll be nice just to stay in! :)

eurochick · 06/07/2012 17:28

What are the other BESH up to for the weekend?

eurochick · 06/07/2012 17:27

I'm working for most of it Faif (big deadline approaching and I've had lots of time off for appointments and been distracted by menkulling) but I have just booked last minute tix to go to see The Woman in Black at the theatre tomorrow night. :) So I have something to look forward to after a Satuday in the office.

And afterwards I intend to have the sechs until we are both unable to walk

HaveALittleFaith · 06/07/2012 17:02

Sorry to hear it sinky. also sorry I lost the bet by 6 days!

Still resisting the washing. Have put my uniforms on (though I was them separately). We'll see what he does over the weekend.

euro I'm so glad you're feeling better :) have you got a nice weekend planned?

eurochick · 06/07/2012 16:32

Oh ffs sinky. How blooming annoying.

Heh@ Norfy. A cup wot no-one has jizzed in you say? That is a prize indeed.

Northey · 06/07/2012 16:07

Nipple rosettes and a fuck off massive cup (wot no-one has jizzed in). That's the prize at norfy's famous sechsgymkhana. All riders welcome. Must provide own mounts.

sinkingflameofhilarity · 06/07/2012 11:49

Howdy peeps.

Am v amused and a touch disturbed by the sechs gymkhana. Do you get a rosette at the end? (hummm. Rosette nipple tassels. Shall create some for the next twirling)

Be strong faif. The risk of suffocating under a collapsed pile of dirty washing is the only language they understand.

So... In Sinky news, have been, er, blessed with a droidal visit. Which puts last cycle at 76 days. Obviously this is because am going away for weekend with GHJ for some smutty fun. Which is now somewhat curtailed. If I'd happened to put on a good pair of pants this morning, the metal fucker would have really hit jackpot.

Casserole · 06/07/2012 11:01

Bugs, I just heard your news. I am so very, very sad and sorry.
xxx and for you.
And

eurochick · 06/07/2012 10:55

Don't let me bring you down, BESH. I feel fab now I am off the evil drugs. I am never sticking those in me again. Fecking evil horrible drugs. About 36 hours off them I felt great. I had my first glass of champagne in quite a while last night. The rejection of all things ttc self-deprivation related is fantastic.

I am, however, on day 12 of my bleed. I am going to look like a blooming prune soon. I had my bleed as normal on the Buserelin, a couple of days later than my period would have been expected. I stopped the drugs on day 8 of that bleed, just as the bleeding seemed to be stopping. At the scan on Monday the nurse was quite surprised I was still bleeding because she said there was no liquid left in my womble and my lining was nice and thin so it should stop the next day. When I called up the next day and said I was stopping the drugs, the nurse told me that stopping abruptly would trigger a bleed. As there was no lining left, what I have had since then [tmi warning] is neverending nasty brown sludge. I am sick of it now. I want a bonk! It has been ages.

I am very jealous of the planned sechs gymkhana, Norfy.

You can do it Faif. Luckily KFZK is quite good about stuff like that. I put it down to years at boarding school and having to comply with the rules or have no clean clothes!

Cavey I don't see how you could fail to ace that exam!

CaveMum · 06/07/2012 10:32

Lemon, you are right, it is ECG but all the other hormones are the same and do the same thing. Only thing I'm going to have to really revise is the scientificy names for cell structure and embryos n stuff. Female anatomy I am shit hot on, tis all the same but bigger!

OP posts:
lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 06/07/2012 09:06

Thinking of you bugs, we're here with gin and support when you need it.
Tis a difficult time for BESHes.

Sorry about the droidal invasion, but well done for getting some tests started, shred and YAY about sechsvacation norf sounds lovely. We're on protected sechsing Shock that has been a LONG while. Until after the lap, by which time there will be no sechsing.

Cave that should be a doddle. Just check whether the names are identical (for instance HCG has the H for human in it, so maybe for horses it is ECG or something Wink but otherwise, just wing it, on theoretical reproduction all of us could sit any exam).

Good luck with holding out strong faif. We have the same rule, with this caveat that I go back and pick up my own things, when I wash and don't pick up his. Sadly he's lived by himself for such a length of time that he is able to cope with monthly laundry... So it gets quite full with shirts, t shirts and often SOCKS on the dining table, before he eventually acts...

HaveALittleFaith · 06/07/2012 08:46

Indeed it is a trying time for the BESH collective. Thoughts and luff going out to all, especially bugs and euro.

Sorry to hear about droid poley but good to know you're getting bloods/investigations done.

Good plan with the sechs gymkhana norf! Bet it's nice to have an idea of when you're laying an egg these days.

cavey you're definitely a reproductive expert! I realised I know lots about fertility but very little about growing a baybee. if I ever when I get diffed I will have to do some research!

I iz vairy tired today, so pleased its Friday! In the house of faith there is an ongoing battle although MSB doesn't realise yet I am not washing anyway that doesn't find it's way into the washing basket! As part of my cleaning regime I am washing every other day. Anything that he is too bloody lazy to pick up drops on the floor is being kicked into a pile by myself and left. He is about to run out of underwear Grin I must not cave. He will not listen to requests. This is the only way. Help me stay strong!

ShredniVashtar · 06/07/2012 08:15

A sechs gymkhana sounds awesome, norf! I shall be scheduling in something similar again this month. Droid arrived yesterday

This morning I have a day 2-5 blood test, and have booked in to see an acupuncture lady. Glad the CD is going well, cavey. I tried some positive visualisation this month don't tell anyone sending encouraging thoughts to my left tube, and thickening thoughts to my womble, as periods have been light since the mmc last year. One of them seems to have worked, as droid is now heavier than it was when I was a teenager!
