Welcome to the 2.30 from Mumsnet Towers. The fillies have been groomed to within an inch of their lives and are raring to go.

Late entries for the race are required to locate and fill in the BESHtionnaire so that their form can be assessed.

Bring on the stallions!

I would start throwing them in the bin until he gets the message.

HaveALittleFaith · 11/07/2012 08:17

The worst thing with MSB is we've talked about this multiple times and he simply doesn't get why I think it's disgusting to leave his stinky pants and socks all over the brand new carpets He gets all arsey and suggests he does his own washing! I keep explaining its not about doing the washing but about cleanliness, appearance of the room and currently, the practicalities of me having chronic abdo pain leaning down to pick up the clothes he's too lazy to pick up himself! So I have taken from the washing basket what made it in there. The reality of the disgusting-ness of the habit will never penetrate. The reality of running out of pants just might.

Northey · 11/07/2012 07:28

AMNH sits on the edge of the bed each night, pushes of pants and socks and leaves then by the side of the bed. Next morning he steps over them. Next night, he leaves that day's set on top of them. And so on until we've been through a week. It's just so minging. I wish I could think of something to do that would disgust him to a similar level. Sadly it would probably have to be something like poo in a corner of the bedroom and wipe my bottom on the duvet every night for a week.

CaveMum · 11/07/2012 07:24

Morning all, Norf glad you got some decent rest but sorry you're still a bit down.

I've woken up feeling more tired than when I went to bed Hmm Great! Just work for me today too, I've got a meeting tomorrow evening so need to prepare for that.

Well done on staying strong Faith, hopefully the penny might have dropped with MSB now Grin

HaveALittleFaith · 11/07/2012 07:19

And that's exactly what he does! I have made a stand to only do what is in the washing basket so maybe he'll stop leaving then there....I hope Hmm I will confess tonight that is what I've done so he doesn't just wash what's in the basket. There must be about 10 pairs in that pile (ew).

Northey · 11/07/2012 07:14

Hurrah for victory on the pant front! Well done. I know how hard it is not to crack when the horrid skanky things are piling up in the doorway (what on earth makes men drop them where they stand?).

HaveALittleFaith · 11/07/2012 06:55

X posts. Work norf, just work, if I can keep my head together!

HaveALittleFaith · 11/07/2012 06:54

Well it's taken two weeks of resistance but MSB has finally run out of pants! He said and I quote They can't all be in the washing basket No dear, they're in the big pile of washing on the floor I refuse to pick up.....I hope my point will be made tonight when I pile them up?!

How are people feeling? euro, cavey?

Northey · 11/07/2012 06:51

Morning fillies. I'm still feeling odd and unhappy today, but considerably better for a long and deep sleep.

Who's got anything happening today?

HaveALittleFaith · 10/07/2012 22:37

Ah Phew, I thought I was rambling. I feel quite odd. Drunk almost 5 weeks since I had a drink! time to...zzzzzz

CaveMum · 10/07/2012 22:15

Ooo, faith that's very deep. Probably true as well.

(Oops)
None of us anticipate fertility difficulties (I don't think?) and each stage of investigation/procedure is met with denial fufc and almost like grief - cavey do you feel like you're mourning winning a baybee the way you'd expect?

HaveALittleFaith · 10/07/2012 22:02

Yes sometimes giving yourself permission to cry means it all comes out quickly and intensely rather than struggling with it for long periods doesn't it? It's adjusting your head to how you imagined life. None of us th

CaveMum · 10/07/2012 21:56

I am feeling better now thanks. Sometimes a good sob, complete with plenty of snot, helps to relieve the pressure. I'm that kind of person, lots of crying should see me right for a bit!

Fath how odd, you're obviously a tad distracted.

OP posts:
Northey · 10/07/2012 21:52

Are you feeling better fr having got tears out of system, at any rate? And you're right, it ISN'T supposed to be like this.

HaveALittleFaith · 10/07/2012 21:48

cavey :( its rubbish. Any woo will have a wobble at times. Stick with it and use HWHNN as a giant tear catcher

I believe I an losing my marbles. The evidence is this:

  1. This morning, I got to work and realised I didn't bring any socks. I had to go to the hospital shop and buy some Confused
  2. I left my Grandma sitting by the phone in the care home for 15 minutes because I forgot to call back after I got the carers to bring her to said phone
  3. I left the hamster in the ball for about 45 minutes because I forgot I'd got him out (poor fella must be shattered!)
See? Bonkers.
CaveMum · 10/07/2012 21:45

We were just talking through this mornings meeting and I started getting teary. HWHNN asked if I was ok and it all flooded out, complete with me wailing "It's not supposed to be like this! It's not fair!" Blush

Northey · 10/07/2012 21:42

Me too, cave. Well, not the tears, but I feel dreadfully churned up, and have done all day. What brought it on for you?

CaveMum · 10/07/2012 21:39

Euro I am sorry Sad. As faith says, words feel woefully inadequate.

I've had a wobbly evening. Spent some time sobbing on HWHNN about being a failure - so much for the positive thinking woo Hmm. Anyway, feel a tad better now and am eating a late night dinner of cheese and beans on toast [healthy]

LP, glad to hear of a wriggly bean Grin

Bugs, yay for wriggly-waggyness

Northey · 10/07/2012 21:18

Buggeration, euro. You really don't deserve this. Not that anyone ever does, but still. I'm so sorry. I think I mentioned before that I've had this happen a few years ago (and then it recurred for a couple of years, to add insult to foofular injury), and I think someone else had also been through it. If you have any questions about practicalities and stuff, just ask.

HaveALittleFaith · 10/07/2012 20:23

I'm sorry euro, that sucks another inadequate word oppportunity massively. As we know, life doesn't have rhymes and reasons that we can fathom. This isn't fair :( especially the sechs ban over the anniversary again! I hope they can sort it all out swiftly.

eurochick · 10/07/2012 19:53

bugs he's gorgeous (as are you!).

That's awesome, LP. I'm really happy for you.

I just had my follow up appointment with the foofologist. It's not good news. Apparently the smear he did showed mild to moderate abnormalities (the earlier one only showed mild) and the evil HPV, HPV 16, is present. That'll learn me for sleeping with cheap men in my misspent youth. So anyway, he wants to remove the dodgy bits after the IVF drugs have left my system.

I am really upset. Work is shit at the moment (I won't go into details for fear of outing but loads of people have left in both my office and my global dept in the last few months, which makes everything feel rather unstable), I cant get up the duff, and now I need to have bits of my lady bits sliced off! And although we were planning to take the summer off ttc after teh IVF debacle, in my mind that just meant lots of sff (and a slight hope in the back of my mind that the "relax and it'll happen" thing might just work). Now it means a month of bleeding with no shagging allowed. And over our second wedding anniversary too (I was on a sechs ban for the first anniversary too, as it was just before my HSG). Harrumph.

It seems so unfair. Although I have slept with a couple of men who were promiscuous, I have no other risk factors - low no. of sexual partners, didn't lose virginity young or have first child very young , don't smoke, don't take the pill. And I am the healthiest I have ever been. I've hardly drunk this year. My diet is super healthy. I'm exercising. I am not even drinking coffee ffs. Arse.

Pity party at mine tonight. Please bring gin. Lots of it.

Northey · 10/07/2012 18:44

Oh God I luff him! I want to kiss him all over his happy wriggling body!

Had about 2 hours sleep last night and have just finished an 11 1/2 hour working day. Cooperlugs is my sole delight.

HaveALittleFaith · 10/07/2012 18:39

Hooray for a wriggly bean! Grin one step at a time laura.

LauraPalmer · 10/07/2012 18:08

I love CooperLugs! That tongue lolling out just smacks of happiness Grin

Thank you for the ESH well-wishes. Everything was good with the scan - size & dates all match up and the little grublet was waving arms and leg-nubs at us. Didn't expect to see that. I cried the whole time. Onward to our next hurdle - nuchal dating scan on the 26th. One day at a time.

Glad you've got a plan Cavelina - hopefully it is a very short list and you'll be at the top soon.

Congrats on being free from the rent house Faithy!
