Well the line has got a lot darker so I think I'm pregnant! Can't believe how protective I feel already.

whiteandyelloworchid · 21/06/2012 19:13

thanks kitty, good luck for testing tomorrow!

camel, yeah hopefully a good sign, plus i don't actually feel llike theres a period on the way ...yet, as im not getting any cramping or anything.
best of luck for next month, and yes non pill period are much worse than pill periods, as pill periods are not actually periods they are simply withdrawal bleeds
so a actual period will be more intense

spg congrats Smile

Hi all...been lurking. Have posted in other threads as I've been having some crazy symptoms but didn't come on here as I was sure it wasn't my month. Anyway, just POAS at 12dpo (had miscalculated dates earlier), and got a faint positive - I was the only one in the house at the time and have had to rely on other people looking at photos I'd sent of it where it didn't show up very well but...it's definitely there. AF not due until Saturday but hopefully it'll get darker as time goes on.

Good luck to all the others out there - like I said, I was sure I was out. It proves it's not over until AF arrives.

CamelKnees · 21/06/2012 12:25

No AF has got to be a good sign white.....

I'm now officially out. After 3 days of very half hearted spotting AF is now officially here. Annoyed it has a taken so long but at least am now definitely on to CD1.

Actually can I ask a question re coming off the pill? Last time I came off it we were lucky enough to conceive DD straight away so I've never really had a non-pill period if that makes sense (well not in the last 16 years anyway). Did anyone else find that their non-pill periods are a) a different colour and b) accompanied by new weird aches and pains? Have just noticed that so far this one is very different to what I've come to expect. Boobs feel very strange and heavy and have no lower abdomen cramps just the odd twinge in the region of my left ovary. Just be interested to know if 'different' periods are par for the course. Ta.

kittykatsforever · 21/06/2012 11:10

camel, lol at it should be like tracking a parcel!
that would be excellent

'your egg eta will be 10.30pm'

lol

going to do my last cheap test tomorrow, then i'm going to invest in a better test.

kitty, i'd doo the test, if it is bfn, your still in with a chance

Ok dpo9 today, I'm on a minibreak away and have one test til late friday, I am also going to a wedding tomorrow, do I take the test tomorrow, risk being to early so not sure on result and also possibly feel down ( positive side it being yes obviously and knowing whether to drink - although would be nice having a few at a wedding) wait til fri morning dpo11 or wait even longer, what do you girls think??

CamelKnees · 20/06/2012 18:30

Ah ok white. must say im a bit mystified by OPKs. Know a few people who have never had a + but have managed to concieve and some people who seem to get far too many +s!

It's bloody annoying not knowing what's going on isn't it?

It's 2012 FFS, i can't believe there isn't an easier way way to do this. Surely some clever science man should have invented a system of texts and emails by now allowing you to track your ovaries progress - a bit like when you're getting a parcel.

Totally know what you mean re going nuts. This is officially month 1 trying for number 2 and I feel like I've lost my marbles already. Really must take up some sort of all consuming hobby or I'm going to drive myself properly mental.....

whiteandyelloworchid · 20/06/2012 17:35

camel, i wan't really using them as a precursor to hpt, i was really just trying to see if i ov'ed more than once, due to having concieving twin before.
so know idea what happening.
i'm trying not to but i can feel my hopes being raised, and im thiniking is this a cruel trick of nature?
probably is.

only been tryng properly this month and feel like ive gone nuts alreadyBlush

Congrats Woody! Hopefully if you test again in a few days the line might get a bit darker. Keep us posted.

splinter hurrah for wind! Hope it settles down a bit. Keep us updated!

white snap re having no clue what's going on. AF due yesterday. Started spotting (only brown CM when i wipe though, sorry if TMI) yesterday late morning and thought that was it. However over 24 hours later and still no AF. Actually not feeling hopeful. Think she's just teasing me and will be here by tomorrow. If still in limbo in a couple of days may test then. Really don't want to see another BFN. By the way white are you using OPKs as a precursor to HPTs? (think someone mentioned it earlier on here). If you are and they're all positive hopefully it's just a timing thing and you'll get a BFP in the next few days...?

Splinters · 19/06/2012 22:53

Totally wind, pain was practically gone by the time I saw dr. He said, 'Do you know you're pregnant?' and I really wished I has the stick in my handbag to show him and here someone else say yes, that's definitely a line. It is though, I keep looking at it..

whiteandyelloworchid · 19/06/2012 21:55

congratulations woody adn splinters. it must be positive then even if it is really faint.

here
i don't know whats happening with me, been getting postatives on opk over a week now, strongest positive with fmu.
done 3 hpt all bnf.

so really have no idea what happening.

i shall test again tomorrow

woody17 · 19/06/2012 20:56

Well I've done another test - a first response one this time, and there is a faint line but it is really faint so I don't know what to think! Hope everyone else is getting on ok.

CamelKnees · 19/06/2012 19:40

Thanks splinters. Keep us posted re docs. Am sure it will just be stretching uterus or similar. Will keep fingers crossed x

Splinters · 19/06/2012 16:32

Thank you everyone for your kind words and good luck to all of you! Am just off to the docs to see about some stabby discomfort that I hope has turned out just to be wind. Hope I will be wasting his time, and that there's good news for lots of you!

Camel hope your holiday is ace.

CamelKnees · 19/06/2012 13:14

Not tested yet monkey!

I should caveat that by saying that I have not in fact developed super-human willpower but am a) on the first day of what is turning out to be an absolutely wonderful holiday (after a 12 hour delay getting here yesterday grrrr) and b) going to be so gutted if it's yet another BFN that I haven't quite got up the courage yet......

If no AF by first wee tomorrow I'll do it I promise!!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 19/06/2012 13:13

I ladies, may I join?

Currently 7dpo - have PCOS so it's a miracle that I have actually ovulated. AF not due on 27th/28th so have just over a week to go. Boobies are incredibly sore, but think that is an ovulation thing rather than anything else.

Huge congrats to Splinter and good luck/fingers crossed for everyone else due to test!

kittykatsforever · 19/06/2012 10:34

Well I'm on cd31 but only dpo8 so all this testing talk us killing me, I have the same brand of try me tests obviously!!!

mrsmellow · 19/06/2012 10:24

Hi guys, can I join in? I'm on my first cycle of clomid and on CD28 today and aiming to hold out until Friday when I'll be CD31. I had a scan on CD15 which showed a big follicle and had some pelvic pain on CD16, then had a progesterone level on CD21 which showed I'd ovulated... My breasts are a little tender (well all that squeezing has that effect Wink ) but otherwise nothing to report.
Congrats to the BFP's!
I too have internet cheapies burning a hole in my bag - 'try me, try me' they're screaming Grin
But I'm also a little scared to test in case it's negative....arrggghh!

monkeybutt · 19/06/2012 09:07

I know Kitty, just got a bit over-eager. Dreamt of testing all night!! Sad isn't it.

I've got alot of the tests that measure 10mIU from Amazon; 15 of them for about £3. They are sold as Extra Early Detectors; I will try again either Saturday or Sunday as I'll only be 3 days off then.

Have you tested Camel???

CamelKnees · 19/06/2012 08:11

From personal experience I found the Superdrug own brand ones really sensitive (showed me a line before any other test with DD). I think they measure 10mIU of HCG which is the lowest I've come across. Good luck!

kittykatsforever · 19/06/2012 07:55

Monkey, even the most sensitive tests only work 4 days before lol I think we can say your still in the game! Your as bad as me
Woody think the cb ones are pretty sensitive but frer the most, if you've had 2 faint yes think I'd buy a digi to spell it out, it's the only way you'll believe it x
