Oh dilly sorry to hear your news- take comfort with us and our hand holding!
Berries- i think you are very right there is so much good from being an only one! Your parents sound wonderfu too. I am lucky have a great step dad and mum that are just wonderful, i should really start thanks for what i do have.
Yes with the tongue thing- my parents, friends and Dp all get very cross with how i take criticism and harsh comments/actions and say nothing and suffer with it than say anything but my daughter luckily does not have my bad trait and speaks her mind! I am a wimp when it comes to confrontation its awful, i hate change i really take alot, but i do also then get very stressed from being the one people trust with many secrets that i hold lol what a stress!!!!
How is everyone? xxxxx

Dillydollydaydream · 12/06/2012 09:43

I'm not pregnant either :(
I had a mc in April, should be 4 months pregnant and looking toward to scans etc.
So many friends are expecting or have just given birth.

iloveberries · 12/06/2012 09:35

plus if i am being really crass - DParents could afford stuff for me which i wouldn't have had if i'd had siblings (namely a uni education which has given me lots of opportunities!)

iloveberries · 12/06/2012 09:33

well i am super close to my mum and dad which i think it part of being an only child. they are both playful by nature and we did lots of family activities as a threesome so i was never left alone playing for hours on end. Of course i did play by myself a lot but as a result i like my own company and am pretty imaginative!! When i was in senior school and we went on family hols i was always allowed to take a friend so i had company my own age and Dmum and Ddad could relax. I would love to give my DS siblings but I won't be too worried about him if i couldn't - DCs only know what they have and i was never lonely as an only. Anyway kitty - you may well have a 2nd DC yet!!

Countmyblessings · 11/06/2012 21:57

Kitty - you seem like a lovely person whose tongue must suffer alot of bites your SIL sounds like a right moo- moo! ( that what my ds2 calls a cow). So glad your DP and your DD are on hand for loads of cuddles!
Ilove - it's amazing how parents think they are doing and saying the right things but are not! Well they think they are doing right I guess it's the way.

hellokittydrivesmenuts · 11/06/2012 19:57

thats really nice to hear berries- as both dp and i are 1 of 3 and loved it so cant see the positives of only child my friend also reitterated what you said so maybe i should relax about that pressure also. How are you doing today? xx

iloveberries · 11/06/2012 08:14

oh god - poor you kitty!!! I was an only dd and there are benefits though!
I used to beg my parents for a sibling and i wish they'd just told me the truth.... well the appropriate way they could i.e. some people can only have one child and mummy and daddy tried for you., instead they just said stuff like "you never know", or "maybe we will". of course they were doing what they thought was right......

hellokittydrivesmenuts · 10/06/2012 21:32

Its taken a time to become a nut ( hard on the outside but soft in middle) I wait til with Dp on our own have a little cry a cuddle and then do something positive with DD (4 and desperate for a sibling to the point of making up one who we all have to pretend is real lol! )
xx

iloveberries · 10/06/2012 20:31

God you're good kitty :)

hellokittydrivesmenuts · 10/06/2012 20:28

Berries- very upset about it but you know you cant change some people ! i just know that the only person who will stress about it is me so its not worth it xx

iloveberries · 10/06/2012 08:02

hellokitty - are you not pretty pissed off that she is being so insensitive going on about her baby when she knows you're under investigation?

hellokittydrivesmenuts · 10/06/2012 06:58

Hi all just popping by with waves/hugs/prayers its just rubbish the amount of bump rubbers there are.
SIL preg and she now even talks on behalf of the baby and has completely lost total personality every subject gets reverted back to the baby, further more she knows we are now under investigations as to why not happening but everytime she doesn't think of me i come back with something extra nice for her and baby as i think if not i would have to avoid her lol xxx

Countmyblessings · 09/06/2012 21:15

Hi ilove- I'm here also waiting for the announcements they tend to come all at once right! So I'm bracing myself!!!!!
How's everyone else doing today????

iloveberries · 09/06/2012 08:47

Another 'odd one out' here. I'm lucky enought to have a DS (2.5yrs) but the other 5 ladies from my NCT group have all popped out a lovely 2nd sproglet after just sniffing their husbands' boxer shorts Farfallarocks - that is a fab saying, i'm stealing it ;) It is brutal and not only is it hard seeing them all, i am totally left out of the conversations as they're all about baby... i do feel quite sorry for the toddlers though as they're just ignored most of the time as the new baby needs so much.

Pretty sure 2 other close friends are preggo too so just waiting for those announcements, will be relieved when they're out there.

It is helpful to know there are other ladies out there like me though. Mumsnet rules.

Cookie the 7th person I know of at work announced pregnancy today, plus a bloke at work's wife also pregnant. Just a baby-making factory where I am, as about 6 people are on maternity leave already!

Getting very jealous :-(

Countmyblessings · 08/06/2012 17:17

Sorry excuse spelling errors I'm on my phone!" so" desperate! " I shouldn't!

Well my hormones are in check!!!!!!!
Big hug to those who don't have dc yet!
Trust me I think it my ds2 that keep me from staying in my bed all day everyday!!!!! I feel so selfish, self absorbed and awful at the moment AF is in full swing my 1st cycle after ectopic!!!! The pain is unreal!!
I was watching E and was watching bill and gulianna do desperate for a baby and then she got cancer!!! All that money and the one thing they want they can't have!!! But they have a surrogate and will have a child soon!!!! That's reality!!!!!!!
Im blessed and know it I think people think so shouldn't feel sad of your losses because I already have but if I didn't want that baby I wouldn't of been trying!!!!!!'

I know how you all feel...i swear the whole floor in my office if pg. Not any other level, just the level i sit in. To torment me.

Count: you talking of me Gennie getting pg in Emmerdale, it was Eastenders and Siad (who is gay) getting his wife pregnant (background he was avoiding having bd with her coz he loves Christian...) and she got pg! That made me cry ....yes we have been TTC for a long time now!

And FB has just made it worse! Everyone seems to popping up with pg annoucements, birth annoucements etc etc. aargghh i can't get away from it!!

blondebaby111 · 07/06/2012 18:47

arghhhh!!! know how u feel hun...its horrendous!! if i'm not seeing pregnant women i'm seeing babies everywhere....really gets you down sometimes!!! i'm not a mummy yet but it's very difficult made even worse by sil being pregnant and mother in law taking great delight in telling us :(((

SweetieDoesIt · 07/06/2012 18:40

I am feeling very low with TTC today too, AF arrived this morning. I was 15DPO, my longest LP ever, and this is the cycle after my HSG so just felt everything seemed so positive.

We don't have any kids so seem to be haunted by pregnant stalkers and those who seem to be cruel or shouting at their kids. I just always think to myself "don't you realise how lucky you are" am sure one day I will actually say something rather than just think it to myself.

I just feel so sad that it is so difficult when everyone in RL drops on without even trying.

fanjodisfunction · 07/06/2012 18:40

count I know its not the same but both of my periods after miscarriages have been heavy and painful. Its just an added middle finger to you though isnt it. Is this your last cycle before you can start again?

I always see pregnant women or women with newborns, makes me sick sometimes. Im so jealous, I have to look away, or sometimes I smile in the hope that good karma will come my way.

farfallarocks · 07/06/2012 16:49

I used to be stalked by pregnant women when we were TTC and after 2 MCs. Peter Jones, I counted 6 in one floor, all my friends got knocked up the minute they sniffed their partner's boxer shorts. Even on holiday, in India, in remote rajastan there was a pregnant lady by the pool (with a bump the same size as I should have had) which sent me crying to my room for the afternoon.

It will happen for you eventually (and when it does you will stop noticing pregnant women and babies!!)

Countmyblessings · 07/06/2012 16:06

Hellokitty- I don't know that book but I def feel that flash mob of pregnant women is a weakness!
Well my 1st AF is here and it's painful physically and emotionally!
Wow never thought I would feel like this!!
Back pain and cramping!!!!!!!
