too love the name Rex, have been trying to get DH to like it also.
I'm still pretty unwell, managed to get out of bed and lie on the sofa, but I ache all over. Think I'm off work again tomorrow.
Don't usually get ill like this.

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 12/06/2012 18:27

Yay wtw! I loved being traced - I sat there watching Bean's hb and movements be tracked and it felt so comforting. I'd have spent all 37 weeks attached to the trace given the chance. Hope the GD test goes well too.

Fan, how are you now? Hope you're feeling better.

Orion, you're braver than I am! I think I would have been conflicted had Maia been a boy - I was trying not to, but secretly I wanted a girl who would be like Thea. Not that they would necessarily be alike...it's hard. In my head my next baby is a boy called Rex, whenever that time comes.

fanjodisfunction · 12/06/2012 15:19

wtw that's such good news, I'm getting excited for you.

Whatevertheweather · 12/06/2012 14:57

Oh fan sorry you're feeling so rotten Sad I'm sure it wouldn't effect a little bean though - think how much we can throw up with morning sickness. Hope it passes soon lovely xx

Hope your appt went well Blue

Waves Too - glad to hear Maia didn't have any problems being born at 37 weeks thank you xx

Eventually saw the consultant who took my oxygen sats because of my chest infection and they were low so I was sent off for a ctg to make sure all was well and it is thank goodness. 30 mins on the trace, they checked all the variability etc and it looks really good for 28 weeks. Did have a minor panic as it was a ctg that picked up the initial distress with Erin but feeling very reassured now. Off for my GD blood test in the morning!

fanjodisfunction · 12/06/2012 14:05

orion your little girl with have a part of jude in her too. Jude is in all your DC's.

God I feel so unwell, Im so weak now, been drinking sips of lucozade (I know its not suppose to help your stomach but its a comfort drink to me, we always had it when we were ill at home. my lower back is killing me, not sure if thats through the sickness, or my kidneys or a symptom? If I am pg, would this illness effect the baby?

orion3 · 12/06/2012 13:09

blue congrats on the 16 week check. Those numbers are awesome Smile
whatever hope it all goes well when you're eventually seen. Why do consultants have to keep us waiting so long? I was the same yesterday and I hate waiting rooms.
moomins congratulations on the BFP Grin
fan Hope you're feeling better soon. I'm getting to grips with the idea that it's a girl and I hate to sound selfish because I know how lucky I am to be having another baby. I think I felt (now this is really stupid) that another boy might have part of Jude's soul in him. I know it's crazy but I just couldn't help it.
too all the coverage of the RIE lately must've been hard for you. I had to take dd1 to the Sick Kids 3 weeks after Jude died there and it was awful
She was fine but I overreacted and called NHS24. They sent us up and I was a mess. The poor nurses must've had our records (or recognised us) because they were really kind but it was a truly awful experience that I hope I never have to repeat. We had to go back 6 weeks after he died to pick up his memorial box (unopened in the loft) and then again for the results of the pm. I think all of these things could've happened somewhere else. Having said that, the Sick Kids was on my running route and I still go past it a few times a week. It's like I challenge myself to do it, walking now I'm pg not running.

fanjodisfunction · 12/06/2012 11:12

too hello!

wtw hope you get seen soon

moomin congrtulations, you have really cheered a sick me.

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 12/06/2012 11:09

Hello all!

Moomin, that's wonderful, congratulations!

Blue, hope today's scan goes well. I always had to hold my breath until the sonographer said she could see the hb.

I would love to come to the Sands memorial but sadly it's a bit far. Hope you all enjoy meeting up - am Envy!

Orion, I know what you mean about hating the Sick Kids now. I hate Simpsons and by extension the whole RIE. Even seeing it on the news during the Legionella thing makes me angry and miserable. I had Maia in St John's - there was no way I was going back to Simpsons.

Wtw, I had Mais by CS at 37 weeks exactly and she was fine, didn't need any help breathing at all.

DH went back to work today - hope he's ok. The day is dragging! Can't believe it's only 11.

Whatevertheweather · 12/06/2012 11:08

I was meant to be in at 10am.....

Bluetinkerbell · 12/06/2012 11:05

oh dear! wtw I'm the first appointment on the consultant's list this afternoon, she better not be running late Wink

Whatevertheweather · 12/06/2012 10:58

When will I learn - always bring a book to hospital appts - running 1.5 hours late! Yawn.

Whatevertheweather · 12/06/2012 10:44

Fantastic news Moomins Grin Wishing you a calm and uneventful pregnancy

Blue do get your cough checked out - I was the same coughing for a week thinking it would just go away but turns out to be bad chest infection

Bluetinkerbell · 12/06/2012 09:51

Moomin YAY YAY YAY! Congratulations! x

fan and wtw hope you both feel better soon! I'm still coughing as well, been over a week now...

amy yes! everything in Belgium is expensive (except for beer and cigarettes joked DH Wink) if you want me to send you some internet cheapies, let me know Wink I'm coming over to Belgium beginning of August to visit my family and my sister who will have hopefully had my nephew/godson by then...

angel hope you can keep warm! enjoy your holiday!

I'm 17+2 now wtw and it feels strange, trying not to think too much about it, and then it suddenly hits me that it will be Sterre's first birthday next week.
And then I get scared... that everything will just be a repeat from last year. Trying to be excited about the scan this afternoon, but those first few moments I will probably hold my breath...

Moominsarescary · 12/06/2012 09:39

Hello everyone, haven't been on the thread for a while as I'm also on another conception thread.

Just wanted to say I've got my bfp! 8 months after loosing Jacob at 20 weeks. Weirdly due date is 17th of feb, which was also Jacobs dd. Although I know this will probably change when I have a scan.

Xx

Whatevertheweather · 12/06/2012 09:32

Yay for a good appt blue Smile How are you feeling coming up to 17 weeks?

Boo for sickness fan this warm wet weather really is germ central Sad

Hope it warms up a bit Angel and that Phebs enjoys face painting and swimming

I don't know much about GD cheese I think they are just testing as a precaution. Would there be any symptoms? Hows Ella now?

Off to see consultant shortly - looking forward to hearing her hb. Hope this horrid cough isn't affecting her.

AngelGeorgie · 12/06/2012 08:38

Fan take care xxx
Orion congrats .. Glad alls well xxx
Amyboo sorry.... Your body could take a while to settle down. Like you I always had regular periods when I came off the pill & that was after 20 odd years on it!!! Then after Georgie they did settle back in to a 30-31 day cycle but it took a while due to the stress!!!
Blue yeh .... For good appt xxx
Whatever hope the abs kick in & you pick up soon. Xxx
Well, we had a lovely visit yesterday morning to our consultant & midwives who delivered Georgie ( 1 Midwive did)& Phebs. Lovely to see them ..., they love Phebs & my consultant thought I was there as I was of again!!! Not likely !!!! Certainly not yet!!! Anyhow ... Vaguely remember you have to have sex to get up duffed????
We re here at the caravan park is ok...stuff to do but so cold. Last night was freezing here poor phebs slept in her vest, pjs, 3 blankets , hat ... I had 2 lots of pjs on... ( adds to the lack of sex!!!) we don t do cold , our house always lovely & warm...,
We re off to face painting with her this am & swimming... All I can say is thank god we ve got Euro-Disney & Ibiza to look foreward to.
Love to all xxx

fanjodisfunction · 12/06/2012 06:11

blue that's great news! And good luck for the scan today. Be thinking of you.

I'm not well, I've got the sickness bug that DH had, it wasn't food poisoning like we thought. I'm going to be tucked up in bed ffor the rest of the day. Booooo.

Bluetinkerbell · 11/06/2012 22:46

Had my 16 week mw appointment today
Everything fine, my bloodtest results came back great! Apparently I have one of the highest iron levels the mw had seen in a long time, which is super as I am vegetarian and was slightly worried about it, doesn't explain why I still feel so tired though :(
She also commented that my combined Down Syndrome results were great 1 in 100 000! :)
Blood pressure was slightly low and did have protein in my urine, which could be start of urine infection so need to keep an eye on that.
MW did look for the heartbeat and found it, even though little one was trying to play hide and seek :)
On to tomorrow... scan with the consultant Grin

fanjodisfunction · 11/06/2012 21:12

cheese I must admit when I woke to the alarm I put it on snooze just to see if I could enter the dream again and be with my baby boy. So strange and yes so real.

If you are going then maybe I will come, that will be five of us!

wtw if I do go to the SANDS memorial, I was thinking to day that I could take a stone from you if you wish? For Erin? Its up to you, but the offer is there, I will keep you posted on whether I go or not.

CheeseandGherkins · 11/06/2012 20:44

Thanks fan I'm going to look it up now and see how far it is from us, am thinking about going though, if it's not too far with all the kids too! You could be right, it was quite cold here last night and this morning. They feel so real don't them; dreams. I woke up feeling so upset. All the emotions are so real x

fanjodisfunction · 11/06/2012 20:28

cheese should have answered you properly its at the national memorial arboretum in Staffordshire.

fanjodisfunction · 11/06/2012 20:17

cheese the Sands memorial is this saturday. Are you thinking of going? Im still not sure but if its going to be a big gathering of us lot then I might be more persuaded.
What a horrible dream you hard, Im wondering if the coolness of last night made us all have deeper dreams, as in we slept better had more REM dreaming time and remembered some of our dreams. I keep thinking of my little boy in the dream, we couldnt decide if we should call him Rex, Lochlan or Riordan. Very strange.

CheeseandGherkins · 11/06/2012 20:11

blizy my midwife asked if we'll try again after I'd given birth to Scarlett...We were leaving, hours after giving birth and she asked that. She was a very lovely woman though and she made it all as easy as possible but I didn't think until afterwards how bad that was.

angel Ella is doing well, she's actually on the 75%ish centile for her weight and 90% odd for her adjusted! Ella's been runny due to her anti b's, it's horrible when they're ill isn't it? Hope Phebs is feeling better soon xx

fan where/when is the Sands memorial? I've had some weird dreams lately. Last night dreamt dh disappeared off with mates and wouldn't answer calls/texts and didn't tell me anything. Also dreamt that we went into a hospital ward and women were giving birth, passed one who was pushing then went into a cubicle next to someone else and as we passed them I heard the nurse say they were dead. I was trying to listen to see if it was the baby or mother that died but couldn't hear and then I woke up :(

Orion glad the scan went well, must be a little relief xx

whatever the cake wouldn't make a difference to Wednesday plus you should eat as normal up until the fasting, assume it's the fasting one? To get the right results

amyboo · 11/06/2012 19:53

I'm tryig to resist the urge to raid the cake tin, which is currently full of rocky road slices. Yum! Might settle for a digestive instead...

Whatevertheweather · 11/06/2012 19:38

Mmmm I could really eat coffee and walnut cake right now! Probably not advisable though as I have GD blood test on Wednesday.

Glad you're home and dry Fan x
