moomin that is scary, what are you going to do?

fanjodisfunction · 14/06/2012 15:42

moomin thank you, yes please do.

wtw I'm sorry if my link has upset you? It wasn't my intention.

Moominsarescary · 14/06/2012 15:23

august I had more bh with ds3 and Jacob, well atleast they seemed more noticeable. Ds2 is 8 years older than ds3 so guess I might have forgotten.

Miasmummy glad results were good and that your consultant is supportive. I'll have the same consultant this time as with ds2,3 and Jacob. He's lovely which makes me feel alot more relaxed about everything.

fanjo I had retained placenta with ds2 and had no problem with the spinal that time, however ds3 was an emcs due to cord prolapse and they couldnt get the spinal in that time. When I had the stitch put in with Jacob she realy struggled but did manage it in the end. I'll be having another one in 8-10 weeks so will let you know how they get on this time!

angel shame the weather is so rubbish but glad you enjoyed yourself regardless of the cold. Where is summer

Well the morning sickness is getting pretty bad, I think ds3 and his lack of sleeping might be making it worse

On a crappy note, we received court eviction papers yesterday, apparently the landlady wants the house back to sell and wrote to us in feb informing us she wanted us to move out in April. We never received anything and had no idea! I can't understand why they didn't ring us when we carried on paying rent in may and June. If that isn't bad enough they want us to pay their court costs.

fanjodisfunction · 14/06/2012 15:07

wtw I didn't intend, I hope you don't think, don't feel guilty its a personal choice, its just a wonderful story of a rainbow and an angel and its just the way it was written that made me post it. Please don't feel guilty.

Whatevertheweather · 14/06/2012 14:54

Ooh it makes me feel guilty for having a c-section!

fanjodisfunction · 14/06/2012 14:31

Whatevertheweather · 14/06/2012 13:49

I don't have any direct experience of that I'm afraid fan but what you could do is ask for an anaesthetic review next time which can check your suitability for a spinal block. Hope someone more knowledgable comes along xx

fanjodisfunction · 14/06/2012 12:34

can I ask you girls a question before I ask the boards?

When I had Fi, I had a retained placenta. I went down to theatre where they unsuccessfully tried to give me a spinal block three or four times. This part of the day haunts me to be honest. In the end they ended up putting me under. I worry about this for when I am next pregnant, obviously I will talk to my consultant about this but I wanted to ask your guys experience. Have any of you experienced anything like this? if so when you next had a spinal block or an epidural did it work out fine?

This worries me, I so want to be there for the birth of my next child, but I am worried that if I get induced that it will lead to EMCS and an epidural, or the baby will be breach and I will have to have a CS, and what if I cant have an epidural, what if it doesnt work again.

I just cant get this out of my mind this morning!

Im also worried that I will end up with a retained placenta again and have to leave my baby at some point.

God im even annoying myself now!

Whatevertheweather · 14/06/2012 07:25

Miasmummy so glad your consultant was kind and understanding it makes such a huge difference doesn't it. I agree with you about elcs - I will be glad to have an exact date to work to in those last few weeks. Get results of GD test in a few days - sooner if there's a problem I guess.

Fan poor you Sad I'm still not feeling a 100% even after 3 days for AB's. I'm glad to be staying home again - definitely think you should too. Don't sorry about work it will all still be there next week.

Oh Angel bless you - I must say a whole day at home in the warm and your own beds does sound more appealing. Bloomin ' weather is rubbish! Hope you had some fun x

Ah no appts today so am going to drop K at school and then settle on the sofa to watch dvd's for the day. Bliss.

fanjodisfunction · 14/06/2012 07:17

miasmummy Im so glad they are looking after you properly it must be a huge weight off your mind. So glad the scan went well.

angel Ive had a few holidays like that. Hope being home will help you all sleep warmer.

Im still not feeling right, feel sick this morning have a headache. Ive decided to stay at home again. I might get into trouble but im not feeling well so stuff them! I feel better than I have for the past two days but still not right, and I know it will be tough going at work, it being a physical job and to be honest dont really want to work in the office at the moment.

AngelGeorgie · 13/06/2012 23:16

X posts Miaaxlendersmummy !!!! Glad you feel well supported ... Elective section is fab to have a date to aim towards. To know what day your baby will be here. I'd have another elective without a minutes concern.
Oh have your baby the week before!!!! My birthday is 1 st Dec , damn good day xxxxGrin
I found having a set date reduced a lot of the stress towards the end & my date was at 37,3 weeks xxxx

AngelGeorgie · 13/06/2012 23:13

Excellant news Blue xxc
I too had GD test whatever I thought the drink was fine & the tests harmless... However , the HCA got flustered by taking blood from a " sister" & forgot to repeat my FBC also!!!! Was fine by me .., but just delayed results slightly...

MiaAlexandrasmummy · 13/06/2012 23:03

Hi all, feeling ok at the moment. Nuchal scan results back, and while not quite as good as blue, still at the low end and don't need further tests, which was a big relief. Then our first consultant appointment yesterday, about which we had been a little worried. However, we actually saw the top consultant who helped with Mia's birth, rather the one of her team, and she was lovely. She knew all about Mia and wanted to know how she could best help DH and I deal with this pg. She has noted the dates of Mia's inquest and added quite a bit of extra info to help anyone reading my notes, plus a sticker on the front to highlight our situation. She is also happy to arrange scans whenever I decide I need them, and has already stated she would expect me to want a ELCS, given the circumstances of Mia's EMCS birth - which I do. Interestingly, DH admitted that he is very scared at the thought of me having VBAC. We came out feeling very supported, which was nice.

blue didn't realise we were quite so close together. EDD for me is 7 December, but will be a week earlier with a c-section.

whatever how did things turn out today?

august very excited for you, these last few weeks must feel like forever. Well, if you are like me, you have probably felt impatient throughout this pg!!

Whatevertheweather · 13/06/2012 12:21

Ooh August 5 weeks that is getting close. I've had similar dreams - it is such an anxious time. Are you c-sec or induction? I've definitely had more bh this time than with K or E. I had 2 that were picked up on the trace yesterday so I now know what I thought were bh definitely are as I was never quite sure!

fanjodisfunction · 13/06/2012 11:54

august thats good to hear, so glad all is well. I had alot of BH with Fi. THat was really the only movement I felt. Because of my fibroids. 5 weeks how exciting, not long now till we have some more rainbow babies on this thread, yayy cant wait to hear their birthing stories and to hear their names.

AugustMoon · 13/06/2012 11:49

Yeah feeling better thx - well a bit knackered and still getting lots of BHs but more sporadically which I think's normal! Baby's really fidgety so reassuring Smile
I'm at the MW now... Quick check up... Then another scan on 21st. I've got just over 5 weeks to go! I'm actually very excited but also having dreams where I'm in labour and telling doctors 'please don't let my baby die, I wouldn't survive' - all the anxieties come out when we sleep xx

Whatevertheweather · 13/06/2012 11:01

Ten more minutes and I can have the 2nd blood test and eat something Smile

How are you feeling now August? no more signs of early labour? xx

AugustMoon · 13/06/2012 10:57

blue glad you had a good scan Smile
fan hope you're feeling better.... Could it be ms? Or def a bug?

AugustMoon · 13/06/2012 10:43

Ah, moomin - good to 'see' you and congratulations! Smile

AugustMoon · 13/06/2012 10:34

Ew, wtw - I had that about 3 wks ago. It's gross! Hope you don't feel too queasy.
I'm just reading back now to catch up....

fanjodisfunction · 13/06/2012 09:57

That's sounds foul, wtw. Hope you get some good results.

Whatevertheweather · 13/06/2012 09:29

Bleurgh - just had to drink a carton of the most foul warm thick orange flavoured sugary syrup for my GD test. Straight on to an empty stomach. Must not be sick for the next 2hrs!!

Glad you're feeling a bit better fan x

fanjodisfunction · 13/06/2012 08:33

Excellant news blue!

I'm feeling better today, just a bit weak. So still off work.

Whatevertheweather · 12/06/2012 20:08

Yay Blue so pleased for you Grin Hurray for an active little one and pleased to hear the consultant is taking such good care of you xx

Bluetinkerbell · 12/06/2012 19:39

My scan went ok too today! :)
Baby was spot on for dates! Very active! The consultant really took her time to look at everything. She did comment that the stomach was quite small, and put a note on my notes to have a better look at it in 3 weeks.
She has rescheduled my 20 week scan to 2 days earlier, so in exactly 3 weeks as she wants to do it instead of the normal ultrasound department.
She couldn't see whether it was a boy or girl yet, little one was a bit stubborn, but she'll have a look at the next scan.
Got 3 pictures for DD1 free of charge :)
