TRICKLE.... What a lot to take in, your emotions must be all over the place. Hopefully the MRI will give clear answers, it sounds like you have a good dr who's taking the time to try and find out what's going on. I hope it passes quickly till Thursday for you.

ANGEL, sorry your still not getting a decent nights sleep.... Where are you off to on holiday? I know what you mean about hv's being useless, I didn't bother much with ds2.

FAN, with you on Nadal, but never get to watch tennis either...

SPILT... Did the prune juice do the trick? It's so horrible when they are all blocked. A lovely lady who does baby massage taught me to massage DSs stomach by gentle following the route of his intestines, so with baby lying on mat, rub with two fingers from the left side of the belly button in a square up and over the belly and back down in on the right of the belly ( not under belly though). This always really worked on DS when he was blocked up, I could hear it bubbling through!

House moves are hell. Much sympathy.

I'm now in SWI week, but last night I was so exhausted after the hospital that I went to sleep at 9pm while DP was reading Harry Potter to DS! Im sure I've got slightly mixed feelings about baby making too.
My dp is 40 in a couple of weeks. We had a big party planned, with camping and music and lots of friends. Obviously it's not happening. We are taking boys to pembrokshire for week instead, which will also be lovely, but we were so pleased that our family would be complete by the time we were 40, and that we'd get to show Merryn to everyone that WE. Life has gone off at a tangent and I know I'm not in control anymore, I guess I never was really.

DS is doing well, he had a tough time in recovery after the op. he was v scared and upset. The recovery nurse was v unsympathetic and called him a drama queen. I explained his sister had died after an op went wrong 9 weeks ago, which shut her up.... He is on the couch with tv today. Will be spoilt rotten!!

Hi to everyone else.

AngelGeorgie · 27/06/2012 06:27

Trickle book tickets??? I m confused... What??? For your scan??? Glad you re having lots of monitoring & slowly making progress. Take care xxxx
Knackered ...Confused Phebs awake again to 12 this is a nightmare!!! Fine when I m off work but nightmare when we have to be up at 6 for work... Very early night for me tonight I think ...( say that every night never works out!!) xx

blizy · 27/06/2012 00:47

Green- I'm glad everything went well with ds today, you have one brave boy!

Trickle- rollercoaster indeed! I hope you get answers soon.

I hope the poorly babies are feeling better.

Whatevertheweather · 26/06/2012 21:53

Gosh trickle a rollercoaster indeed. Big hugs so much to cope with xx

spilttheteaagain · 26/06/2012 21:46

God what a rollercoaster trickle, drained sounds about right. That sounds like really good news though, you must be cautiously delighted x

Trickle · 26/06/2012 21:41

Aww noo so many poorly littlies, I hope they are feeling better soon, bloody well done green that sounds so hard but really pleased to hear the op went well.

split totally feel for you - after the buyer we had I was actually over the moon to hand back the keys to the mortgage company, why do some people just not do what they say grrrr

I'm off off an MRI on Thursday - if I can get hold of the consultant who had left early today and only has one patient tomorrow so I can buy the tickets - would be easy if I didn't have to give 24 hours notice to 'book assistance'. Very nice Dr though - called today at 8:45 to let me know she'd been going through all the literature since the scan and that she had found something in the newborn stuff that looked like what she had seen in Tiddler,s brain. She now thinks it might be cysts that usually cause no problem whatsoever - still want the MRI to confirm, but it's not been seen in an unborn baby and is very unusual. So within a week we've gone from pre-term delivery around 30 weeks, to no physical problems but probably never living independantly as an adult, to no problem, I feel very very drained.

spilttheteaagain · 26/06/2012 21:01

cheese how is expat's DD? (I take it it is expat on your FB?)

green great news on DS, hope you are ok this eve xx

Whatevertheweather · 26/06/2012 20:28

Poor Freya split hope you get things moving soon!

I watched Murray's match at Wimbledon today Blue I do enjoy a bit of tennis!

K found out what year 1 class she is going in to today - can't believe she's nearly finished her first year at school!

Love to all xx

AngelGeorgie · 26/06/2012 20:18

Green glad all ok? Xxx

AngelGeorgie · 26/06/2012 20:17

Spilt good god what a faff!!!! I remember moving house 6 years ago & doing my clinics whilst ringing the solicitors constantly!!! Freya's tiny compared to Phebs she was 18 lbs, 8 oz I think at her 5 month check!!!!!
Not been weighed since then in fact was just thinking the other day she 's due her 7-9 month HV check now but we ve not had an appointment come through & seeing as the last one was as much use as a chocolate fireguard loathe to waste my day off going....think she must be about 22-23 lbs now Wink
Had a lovely day off shopping for holiday clothes... Phebs getting back to her delightful self just got a cough back AGAIN!!!
Back to work tomorrow ... Sad never mind only 3 days to work to the weekend.
Love to all xxx

fanjodisfunction · 26/06/2012 20:10

green excellant news, well done you and well done your DS.

spilt oh poor Freya, not good, she must be so uncomfortable. Be careful with the fruit could turn her the other way. How's her fluid intake?

Bluetinkerbell · 26/06/2012 20:00

green well done for being able to be there for DS! Glad the operation went well!

greengoose · 26/06/2012 19:53

Only got a minute, so can't name check..... Wave to all though...

DS now home and ok. They didn't have to amputate finger, but used a general, which was for the best. He was v brave. I just about lost it when they put him under, and all the machines were so familiar, but I held it together until he had gone to theatre before I had a sneaky cry in the toilets....

spilttheteaagain · 26/06/2012 19:28

Hi all,
Sorry to hear about all these poorly/pained DC, it's miserable Sad
Freya is very constipated and in a lot of pain poo-ing so I'm trying to restart her system with a fruit/prune overload and a banana ban.
A whole 18lb4.5oz today at 10 months, I bet Phebs is bigger angel! How are her teeth today?

Busy day today, house move stalling, long story but the vendors are being mean spirited tight sods and forcing us to pay for indemnity policies that are their responsbility, and our buyers lawyer is an incompetent twit and asking us again all the questions we already answered for them weeks ago and accusing us of withholding info and lying into the bargain Angry We have been seriously pissed off! Hopefully it will all be sorted soon........ please!!!
Sick of it all!

wtw I hope you can get the gardeners to sort Erin's grave for you in time.

Isabelmama so sorry to welcome you here, bless your baby girl xx

trickle how's things? It all sounds very worrying, as you say, why is life never simple!!

blue glad you're enjoying your time at home, I hope you're getting some headspace from work.

Oh dear, I hear crying... fallen and banged head again!

fanjodisfunction · 26/06/2012 18:33

blue I really envy you, I love wimbledon and can only catch the evening matches if DH lets me (he hates tennis). I used to listen to 5live but now they have that bloody richard bacon on there talking what I cna only say is bollocks to other people who know nothing about tennis! Well that was my experience yesterday. I will give it another go tomorrow.
I love Nadal, love the moody looks!

Bluetinkerbell · 26/06/2012 14:00

trickle I hope you get some more reassurance about tiddler, hugs x

angel Hope Phebs feels better soon! E seems to be better today, so I think she's going back to playgroup and childminder tomorrow, at least then I can have some rest Wink

& pisssed off with this!!!!

fanjodisfunction · 26/06/2012 06:12

wtw his name is Matt. If that helps at all. Keep me updated.

trickle I know how difficult it is to not be able to feel the baby that much, my fibroids make it impossible too. Fx for the scan I hope tiddler is ok.

Trickle · 25/06/2012 22:10

Isabelmama so sorry your here with us, I lost Sproglet Feb 2010 at 42 weeks, no reason but didn't start ttc for nearly two years, everyone is different and it's so personal 4 weeks is so long and so soon too.

Angel sounds like a good day off :)

Green don't know what to say, sometimes it feels like it all comes at once and there is no choice but just to deal with it - even when you just can't, will be thinking of you.

wtw I'm forever feeling like that and I hate comparing anything this baby does to Sproglet - I don't want to do it, it's not fair to this baby but I just can't help it.

FX for those BFP's

Apolorgies for the following essay Blush

As for me I've had an exceptionally shitty weekend - after having the bejesus scared out of me wednesday at the scan I couldn't feel much movement Sat eve through to Sunday morning. I ended up on the ward being monitored - everything was fine, but I missed too much of my training to continue to do the volunteering course. I'm basically stuck doing nothing again - I was really getting on well and they really want me as I seem to be quite a good fit for the organisation and it would have made me feel less of a 'benefit breeder' but nevermind Tiddler is fine and that really is important. One of the problems is they keep telling me how important it is to monitor movement but becasue of where the placenta is I can't bloomin feel it quite a lot of the time - it's a nigh on impossible task and just makes everything so much more stressful.

HOWEVER at scan today baby is sat on the umbilical cord, there is no problem with the cord just a stubborn baby apparently. That is the good news - the bad news is that there is an abnormality in Tiddler's brain, agenisis of the corpus collosam - it seems to be the bit that separates the two hemispheres and helps them communicate. You can be totally fine and have no problems, or you can have learning disabilities and developmental delay with behavioural problems. The wierd thing is that it can only be disrupted between 6 and 13 weeks, it cannot disappear - but it has, there is evidence it was there at the 20 week scan. So sometime in the next week we need to hop on a train and go to Sheffield to get an MRI of the babies brain - it's a specialist procedure and part of a research study, but the consultant sonographer (who is literally in the process of rewriting the book on these brain abnormalities) has never seen anything like it before including the way the structural abnormality is showing up! Nothing is ever easy - but we don't seem to care, no pre-term delivery, no NICU/SCBU - which can lead to problems with development anyway, and without today's scan we would never have known anyway.

Whatevertheweather · 25/06/2012 21:49

Late forties/early fifties Fan

fanjodisfunction · 25/06/2012 21:42

wtw was it an older guy or a younger one? If you see them there again mention my name and then they might not forget next time.

blizy excellant news! About DH working, really hoping its not AF for you.

blizy · 25/06/2012 21:37

Wtw- huge hugs for you. X

Green- I will be thinking of you and ds tomorrow, I am here holding your hand.x

Fan- Dh is working in Glasgow for a couple of months!Grin.
Pace yourself girl, stead and slow!Wink

I really think this is af, spotting now visible on a pad! Why does this have to be so confusing, I'm not due until thurs/fri. That would make luteal phase only 10 days this month!

Whatevertheweather · 25/06/2012 21:35

Bless you fan thank you. It's strange as I actually spoke to the guy who does it at the cemetery when I saw him there doing another plot and he promised he would do it. Must have just forgotten.

fanjodisfunction · 25/06/2012 21:30

wtw bloody council! Lol. Have a go at them and if you get nowhere tell me and I shall chase it up with the guys who do it. I'll tell them they owe me a favour.

fanjodisfunction · 25/06/2012 21:28

wtw time feels so cruel doesn't it, it makes us feel futher away from our angels. How close are the dates?

angel I hope Phebs starts to feel better soon, so you can all get some rest.

blizy I so hope this isn't AF for you. How os DH's work schedule working out for the rest of the year?

green I will be holding your hand tomorrow, you brave mummy! I would be the same I think, DH always manages to make me more emotional by being there, my mum has the same effect on me. I hope everything goes smoothly, for your brave DS.

I'm in the limbo week after AF and before ov week. Have to build up slowly to ov otherwise DH gets a bit bored or freaked out! Men!
