How exciting miasmum russian rowing team wow! Good luck with the scan.

And you too wtw.

I'm feeling sick today and can't stop coughing, a symptom of pg for me. So if AF doesn't appear today I will test tomorrow or thursday. I shall see if I'm not doing anything demanding at work I might leave the testing till saturday. We shall see how long I can hold out.

Waves at everyone how's it going?

MiaAlexandrasmummy · 16/07/2012 21:19

Hello all - mecha, what a big step forward for you to focus on!

whatever wow, tomorrow is a big day then... but your crunchy ice craving makes me wince

fan think your plans for lots of swi during your fertile week sounds good - and lots of fun too! Wink It's hard when too much information about your body with temping, etc becomes a burden rather than helpful...

blue how exciting about your sister!

Me, I am finally sorted with the Olympics. I am going to be working at the Rowing Village, working with Russia, as part of a team of three volunteers, where we will be essentially the liaison people to ensure that the team has the best experience possible so they can perform their best... means no fixed role, but could include driving, sorting our guest passes, helping source bananas (big athlete fave, apparently!) or pretty much anything the team leader needs sorting... but it is six days a week, 8-10 hours a day, so quite a time commitment. It will be an amazing experience though. And I checked my uniform, and happily it still fits, thanks to a elasticated waistband on the trousers Grin. Scan this week before it all starts, so starting to worry again...

fanjodisfunction · 16/07/2012 21:16

mecha thats great news, do you know i it will be keyhole? My mum had her gallbladder removed the year my brother was born. She had really bad gall stones, apparently as I child I used to rattle them about in the pot she kept them in and show them to my elderly neighbour, lol.
My Nan as also had hers taken out a few years ago now. Both of them now have problems eating certan food, my Nan cant stomach cream anymore and my mum cant eat eggs. Very strange.

wtw oohh how exciting, is it a bit weird to know the due date? I bet its a weight off your shoulders aswell though

Well still no sign of AF which probably means she will arrived tomorrow. Its CD31 or CD29 today usually it comes now so holding breath to see. I so need this to happen. If I fall the month after next then it will be exactly two years since I conceived Ophelia. Thats too long.

Whatevertheweather · 16/07/2012 21:08

Yay mecha a date to work towards is good Smile Like you say you can concentrate on getting yourself tip top for another pregnancy

Consultant and scan for me in the morning - think she is going to book my c-sec date. Eeeek! Massive craving for ice lollies/ice cubes atm. Can't seem to get enough of the cold crunchy feeling in my mouth! Haven't craved anything so badly since I gave up smoking 6 yrs ago, weird.

How's everyone else doing today? xx

Mechavivzilla · 16/07/2012 20:08

I have a little good news to share, not a BFP but a step on the way to one at least! My operation date for gallbladder removal is here! Grin

It is a month and a half away, and on my birthday. Trying to decide if this is a great or terrible present! At least now we know we can start ttc properly in October. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted, even though nothing has changed. I can spend the next 2 and a half months getting healthy and temp charting and guzzling folic acid.

Nowhere else I can really rave about this as no one else understands other than DH!!

Mechavivzilla · 16/07/2012 09:52

Morning ladies,

just wanted to say, I know I am not trying quite yet (not through my own choice!!) I find reading your tales really really inspirational. I hope I can handle ttc and hopefully another pregnancy with as much grace and bravery as you all Flowers

I also love the idea of using some of Dexter's things as hand-me-downs for a sibling. That had never occured to me before. He doesn't have very many things, we were not prepared for him to arrive when he did, but we do have some little toys from friends and my Granny made him a beautiful blanket. It is mint and lemon, and she had posted it to me as a "halfway there" present so it co-incidently arrived the day he did.

Sorry, that was a bit self indulgent! What I mean to say was that you, along with the wonderful mums on the bereved thread, are my heros.

xx

Whatevertheweather · 15/07/2012 22:31

It was really good they had tons of stuff for the kids and all free :) Aw thanks for saying that about K. I know I'm totally biased but she really is a wonderful little girl, nearly always happy and smiley and looking for fun. She's also very articulate and sensitive and kind to her friends which I love about her. I could have burst with pride at her first school report, they had a lot of lovely things to say about her. I feel very lucky to be her mummy Smile Okay proud gush over with now!

fanjodisfunction · 15/07/2012 19:03

wtw I heard about th stuff up at the leaisure centre, the lady I got my kittens from is one of the play rangers for the borough so I think she was up there, I hope K had a really great time. She's such a happy smiley kid in your photos, shes a credit to you. Weve just got back from seeing it, we saw it being lite from the special lantern, ooohhh!
I will try and hold out till wednesday but Im not holding my breath have a feeling it will turn up tomorrow any way.

blue I know it is exciting all these rainbows!

blizy hes ok, just really tired, but I made him walk with me to see the olympic torch, and now I think hes fallen asleep in the bath. I didnt really main him going out, its just he always organises (or the point is doesnt) lots of events around his nights out, he has no time management skills, thinks things can be done very quickly. Men! lol.

Bluetinkerbell · 15/07/2012 18:32

So looking forward to our new rainbow arrivals soon Grin
Can't believe time has gone so quickly!

My sister is 39 weeks tomorrow... can't wait for a phonecall/text from them to tell us our nephew is finally here... :)
We'll be flying over to Belgium in 2 weeks to go and visit so she better not go overdue!

Absolutely exhausted today, did a treasure hunt with E this afternoon followed by strawberry cream tea... can't wait to put her to bed and watch some rubbish tv to fall asleep to Wink

blizy · 15/07/2012 18:17

Wow August next week!! Hope you are doing ok?

Fan- how is Dh head today? I hope you were extra loud and left the litter tray cleaning to him! How are the two kittens?

Waves to too! Hope you and Maia are well. X

Whatevertheweather · 15/07/2012 18:11

Oooh a week august I know it will feel like the longest week ever but each night when you go to bed another day will be done. You're so close now xx

Fan yes I did get your Fb message thank you - I will do just that Smile Went up there today it's all looking so wild! Silly dh - expect he's got a sore head today? Yes we did go and see the torch! Was ridiculously packed in the town centre - a kind lady let Katie through though so she saw it. Was over quite quick though!! We've also done the free activity day at the leisure centre - was really good. Knackered now though! Try and resist poas until at least Wednesday if you can xx

Thank you Mias Smile I suspect that internally I'm not coping great but on the outside I'm doing okay. To be honest here is really the only place I voice my fears at all. I can't seem to find the words in RL. You must be coming up to 20 week scan? You are right Mia should be here, robbed is a good word. That's what we feel too. We should be gearing up for a 1st birthday party instead we're having another birth. What are you doing at the Olympics? I'm looking forward to watching it Smile

Waves Too 4 weeks left for me now - getting my exact date when I see consultant on Tuesday. How's you? And dh and Maia?

Hope everyone is doing okay - first day with no rain here for ages, hurrah!

fanjodisfunction · 15/07/2012 15:47

wtw did you go and see the torch? Im off to see it in a minute.

fanjodisfunction · 15/07/2012 15:46

waves at too, hows Maia?

I have been silly today and used a ov stick as a POAS, and it was negative. I am either on CD29 or CD27, not sure as I was ill right before AF so it had mucked me up a bit and also I mucked up the ov testing. Damn work getting in the way.
If I am not this month, which I think is true, then I am going to suggest to DH that we just pick the fertile week and have alot of swi that week, and see if that makes a difference. Try and be a little bit more laid back, Im fed up with peeing on sticks or into cups.

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 15/07/2012 11:35

August, wow, just a week to go! Hurray, nearly there!

Wtw, you must be nearly there too - how many weeks are you now?

Sorry for the absence, will read back now and try to catch up.

fanjodisfunction · 15/07/2012 11:11

well he finally strolled in at about 6.30am, and has had three hours sleep and has gone off to the footie, but hes cancelled his parents coming over. Silly boy.

miasmum wow 19 weeks. So where are you volunteering at the olympics? Which events, how exciting!

MiaAlexandrasmummy · 15/07/2012 10:54

august wow, time has flown, although I guess you feel that it has crawled. Very soon now, my lovely.

whatever just so you know, you are my poster girl in how you have dealt with your fears about this pregnancy - your honesty and your courage are inspirational. Keep going, you are nearly there now. Erin is looking after her little sister. x

fan those are gorgeous plans - for your baby. Your DH's plans for today, on the other hand, sound very ambitious!!

blue love the sound of your rainbow blanket. My mother made a beautiful quilt for Mia, but I am still too scared to think about asking for one for this baby.

19 weeks now. Had a stressful week around my Olympic volunteer role, as I have been swapped into 4 different teams... but finally settled now, after my request not to be a solo support for an Olympic team being nearly 5 months' pregnancy was heard - but for a while, it didn't look like it would happen.

Mia would be 22 months old today. I saw one of her little friends on Friday, and a brand-new little sister, and the little friend is lovely, speaking in little sentences, pushing her dollies around in their pushchair, picking flowers and collecting snails as we went for a walk. I can just see Mia doing that too. I hate, hate, hate that she has been robbed of - well, just everything.

fanjodisfunction · 15/07/2012 05:28

august how exciting and terrifying all at the same time.

I'm wide awake waiting for DH to come home, he's been out at the casino with mates and then watched the boxing, he is now stuck over the water waiting for the ferry to restart. Today he he is apparently playing football at 11am and then he's cooking a roast for his parents who are coming round at 2pm.
I have no clue how he's going to do it all, on very little sleep. And I'm not helping him. Numpty!

AugustMoon · 14/07/2012 23:10

Im going in for induction on Sunday 22nd. Feeling excited one minute and terrified the next. Finding it all really difficult so sorry for short post, just wanted to let you all know.
Lots of love xx

AngelGeorgie · 14/07/2012 22:47

Whatever xxxxx know where you re coming from so hard but all this will be forgotten in a matter of weeks xxxxxx

fanjodisfunction · 14/07/2012 20:42

I think that is the way to think about it wtw thats what Erin has left for her little sister.

fanjodisfunction · 14/07/2012 20:40

wtw hugs to you, must be so hard. But you have done it now, all you can do is wait I guess.

Did you get my fb message?

Whatevertheweather · 14/07/2012 20:39

Meant to say I like that way of looking at it fan. Both yours and blues rainbow blankets sound gorgeous Smile

Whatevertheweather · 14/07/2012 20:38

Everything is so bittersweet now. I was looking around in mothercare and mamas and papas at the excited couples and I was so jealous that we weren't like that. I chose a 'going home' outfit for her and all I could think was 'please god don't let this end up being the outfit we have to bury her in' Sad

Packing my bag was weird as I haven't touched it since Erin so there was still nappies/breast pads/clothes in there that were intended for her.

Fuck. Those who said the closer you get the harder it becomes were so right.

fanjodisfunction · 14/07/2012 20:14

blue they sound really nice. My mum makes blankets and she made some during my last pg, but I dont think of them as being Ophelias, but I dont want her making anymore. I want to make a big rainbow blanket that my next DC can use it for a long time.
It is hard isnt it when you buy all this stuff and make stuff for your baby and then they are not here. But Ive decided to think of the stuff as hand me downs from Ophelia. I guess thats the only way to think about it all.

Bluetinkerbell · 14/07/2012 18:48

We're doing ok! Went to the Next sale to get a dress for E as all the dresses she has are hand me downs and we are to attend a wedding in the congregation in 2 weeks with the family she gets the clothes from so she needed a new one Wink only bought the one dress for her, we have been very good... :) we're still quite tight on money every month so not a lot of extra's...
Went into ToysRUs to have a look at baby stuff but the selection was rubbish. Looking at buying the the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Complete Starter kit and found it for £59.90 on Amazon... now to convince DH Wink

fan my mum is making me a rainbow quilt for this little one... She made one for E and is making one for my nephew and is gathering all the stuff for making one for this little one.
She thought it was a very nice idea of it being a rainbow one, she hadn't heard of the term rainbow baby before...

wtw hugs! must have been so hard! I hope for us all we can take these little ones home...
