Kate so sorry to hear of you're loss of your little angels. I lost my little girl Grace in march 2011 and an lucky to have my rainbow Rose in Feb 2012. The girls on this thread are amazing and I wouldn't have kept sane without their support. There is a newer thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/1673502-Rainbow-babies-Remembering-our-angels-riding-the-rollercoaster-and-hoping-for-little-rainbows-and-sunshine?pg=25&order= I Am sure you will find all the kindness and support you could ever ask for

KateRaeganandMichael · 06/05/2013 13:45

Hi all - im new - i posted this on the previous page (i didnt read that it was coming to an end)

I'm not the wordiest of people but it is coming up to my twin boys first remember day (they were born at 22.2 weeks 31st May 2012).

Me and their dad started trying for a rainbow in january but i am having next to no luck. I am having fairly regular periods but the odd thing about them is that they are never painful, (i know i shouldnt be complaining) its just a weird thing that has happened since the boys were born. anyone else have anything like this or is this a dr type thing x

Whatevertheweather · 06/08/2012 20:02

I think it just reminds people of us fan and they want to let us know the remember iyswim? But I agree I'd find it very annoying if someone asked me if I liked a celebrity more because they'd lost a child.

Well done you Blizy sounds like you did beautifully well with your new mindee

Kleine do feel free to rant about IL's if it would help! We've heard some corkers on here, some people are quite literally unbelievable! Hugs to you xx

Hi Moomins glad your scan went well and you have a plan in place

I've been feeling distinctly odd this afternoon - I have an eerie feeling that my waters might break soon Confused My fanjo feels all bruised and really sore, loads of pressure and stabby pains down there. Typically it came on after I was at the hospital this morning for a ctg (which was fine little lady is still happy Smile) Am sure it will be nothing but I just feel odd, i'm not too worried though as im 36 weeks so if labour did start spontaneously i guess they'd just do the c-sec as an emergency?

Moominsarescary · 06/08/2012 19:50

New thread here

fanjodisfunction · 06/08/2012 19:29

Go for it Moomin link it on this thread too, so we can find it.

Moominsarescary · 06/08/2012 19:27

I will if that's ok x

fanjodisfunction · 06/08/2012 19:18

oh and someone needs to start a new thread for us. Who would like to do the honours? Can I ask that Angel and Rainbow be somewhere in the title. This thread will self destruct at 1000 posts.

fanjodisfunction · 06/08/2012 19:16

Sorry if this doesnt get on your nerves as much as it gets on mine and well its not on my fb feed, but people/friends who put that they are thinking of us after hearing the news of Gary Barlow. AIBU? It really annoys me, it happened when my nephew was born people actually put on the birth annonucment that they were thinking of me and my DH, why? Also when Lily Allen, Kelly Brook and Amanda Holden also lost their children through stillbirth, people asking me if I suddenly liked them because of what they had gone through.

Sorry just needed to rant, of course it touches us keenly as we have and are still going through the heartache but I dont think its called for to bring us into someone elses grief or joy.

fanjodisfunction · 06/08/2012 18:39

poppet we all know that feeling, wanting AF to come so we can get on with TTC.

blizy well done! My mum was a childminder, I grew up in a house full of children and babies. I loved it, we loved getting a new baby. Some of the kids I think of as my younger siblings. My mum over the years has looked after about 70 children.

twinkle its a small world isnt it? How strange the three of us living so close together.

moomingreat news about the scan and the stitch.

Feeling a bit better today, that christening knocked us a bit. But we have to move on and try thats all we can do.

FX for all us TTCers.

DH has just told me that Gary Barlow and his wife have just suffered a stillbirth, feel for them! So sad.

Moominsarescary · 06/08/2012 16:33

Hello everyone, can't name check as phone is playing up. Hope everyone is ok.

So I had the 12 week scan today, 12+5 and everything's fine. 3 mw couldn't get even a drop of blood out of me though!

Booked in for cervical stitch next weds. They've also given me all the information to take part in a trial that looks into preterm birth and prom, as both ds2&3 were early due to pprom.

We had a chat about what happens if my waters break early and the stitch is still in and if it happens after 20 weeks and I'm not showing signs of infection it will stay in.

I was a bit worried about this due to the risk of cord prolapse if the stitch is taken out as ive had a cord prolapse before which was very scary

twinklesunshine · 06/08/2012 16:13

Fan, yes just at the edge of the new forest, near Totton! xxx

blizy · 06/08/2012 15:39

Phew, settling session went well. Little baby girl is a delight although she weighs a tonne Grin. I feel ok about it, which is a relief. I have her back on Monday before she starts all day with me on the 16th.

Hope everyone is ok.

fanjodisfunction · 06/08/2012 14:16

twinkle you live near me too then, I live in G-town near wtw. So do you live on the forest side of Soton?

twinklesunshine · 06/08/2012 14:03

Hey Kleinepoppet, not been on here too much, my little 3 year old son died in March. Have only posted a few times quite a while ago. So sorry to hear about your daughter. xxxx

KleinePoppet · 06/08/2012 11:20

blizy really hope this afternoon goes well. You are brave...
Glad your DH's appt has come through, even if there's a bit of a wait. xxx

blizy · 06/08/2012 10:11

Hi Kleine- I'm sorry you are having a rough time with family. Come on here and rant away if it helps.

How are you feeling today fan?

Mias- sounds like its all go for you!

In off work for 2 weeks but I have a new baby mindee coming for a settling session this afternoon- nervous! It will be the first baby girl I have minded since Zoe.
Finally got through I the clinic today, dh's sperm analysis will be 25th sept! He is not too happy about the wait.

Hope you are all well. X

KleinePoppet · 06/08/2012 09:20

Hi all just wanted to say hello. Currently trying to deal with hugely insensitive PILs but am keen to stop myself blurting it all out here (it only makes me more cross!! And I would use far too many swear words and you would all realise how unladylike I am Wink). Having said that, the fact that I know that so many of you also have insensitive families is somehow helpful, I know we're not alone in having crap family Angry, but I so wish none of us had people around who made things worse...
I am currently wondering if my first AF since E is on its way. It's a long, long time since I've said anything like this - and will probably be quite a while before I say it again too - but I hope it comes soon!
Eight weeks today since she died... my beautiful girl x

twinklesunshine have we 'met'? I'm not sure that we have; I'm new on here. Or perhaps I just have my fuzzy bereaved-mummy brain in today. I'm so sorry you're having to ttc again after losing a precious child.
fan also sending you hugs. That sounds so so so hard and sad for both you and your DH. I so hope you are feeling more positive again today. I am only just starting out on this journey but I know from everyone else's posts how incredibly up-and-down it is, forever. I just hope you are having an 'up' again very soon, if not already.
Christenings - oh, my word - I can't imagine ever going to one again. DH & I are people of faith, and we do go to church, but I have no idea when we'll go again - it's baby central there. And ironically, the thing I was probably most looking forward to with E was her baptism, in front of all our friends at church who would all be so pleased for us that we had our baby at last; I couldn't believe we were finally going to get to do it, I was so happy about that. As it was, she was baptised aged 5 hours by the hospital chaplain, in the NICU Sad
miasmummy you also had a tough time on Sat; I'm glad your friends were kind, and listened. Busy week for you! I hope you are taking good care of yourself, in every way, while you whiz around everywhere.
whatevertheweather was it today you had a consultant appt? Can't scroll back... Hope you are feeling well and coping with everything.
Hello to blue blizy elly green, and angel living it up in Paris too. Plus anyone else I've forgotten Blush
Have a good start to the week everyone xxx

twinklesunshine · 05/08/2012 22:39

Whatever I live about 10 minutes from it, Southampton! xxx

Whatevertheweather · 05/08/2012 21:08

Oh fan that does sound really tough. I think there are always going to be situations that bite us on the bum ((hugs)) Hope the weekends Olympic successes have lifted your spirits a little xx

Twinkle yes we must be close! Whereabouts are you? I live in f/ham

MiaAlexandrasmummy · 05/08/2012 20:33

Oh fan but you never know what might happen... I had a tricky evening last night too. Went to a wedding and met up with a lovely group of people whom we haven't seen since last July, where they are fell in love with Mia, especially two pg ladies. It was really hard going in, knowing that they had their babies and I didn't... But they were kind and generous, and allowed us to speak of Mia, while also recognising the emotional challenges of this pg.

Sorry I'm not engaging much in other conversations - on phone, and also full on with my Olympic work. Really fun but often random - sourcing uniforms, driving in the Olympic lanes, and helping the athletes collect free headphones from rather rude PR people... Tuesday is the team's big day, and have to there for 7am right until the evening, assuming they do well... Fingers crossed!

blizy · 05/08/2012 20:10

Fan, it must have been so hard. (((hugs))) for you. I have everything crossed for you this month.

fanjodisfunction · 05/08/2012 20:08

well after feeling quite positive i feel a little down now. Just got back from a christening, and found ti quite hard to be around all those babies, with them being the limelight. Im not religious but I used to go to church as a child so its very easy for me to say Amen and the lords prayer when prompted. But after saying a few of the lines I stopped, and I could not carry on. I kept thinking I shouldnt be here in this church saying these things I really dont believe in, so I was tight lipped through the rest of the service. I looked at DH and he was the same. It is hard to feel happy. I just kept thinking Fi should have been there.

I dont have much confidence this month that we did enough to get pg. Now officially in the tww, be testing firday week I guess.

hope everyone is having a great weekend.

twinklesunshine · 05/08/2012 00:34

Whatever we must live close, I am near Peppa Pig world too!

This is my first month of ttc - exciting but so sad as well, I wasn't intending to have any more I was so happy with my little family.

xxxx

Whatevertheweather · 04/08/2012 20:14

Hope the cbfm does the trick mecha Smile

Sorry you're finding it stressful green I'm not surprised. It's a lot to cope with on top of grieving for Merryn xx

Glad you're back safe blue and that baby is nice and wriggly Smile Sorry your sisters having a hard time; it's not nice when family are far away. My dsis lives in Canada so only see them every few years.

Waves fan glad you're feeling more positive

Loving your Olympic journal Miasmum what a fab experience! How are you feeling?

Had a lovely day at Paultons Park/Peppa Pig World today - shattered now though!! Its K's favourite place in the world, we're lucky to live so close. Baby must have spun outwards again as I'm back to feeling huge kicks and movements which is so much more reassuring Smile 10 days left!!

KleinePoppet · 04/08/2012 14:33

mecha just to add to what fan said - I have a cbfm (I do presume that's what they'll send you...) and found it really useful for a while. I forget the details right now - fuzzy head today - but I think it checks both LH and oestrogen so it means you know in advance that your body is preparing to ov. So it would be v useful for information-gathering for you. I never used just ov sticks myself so can't comment on them, but I think that the cbfm adds an extra dimension to checking what's going on IYSWIM.
Regular periods sound so promising and I so hope that you will soon discover that you're ovulating too!! Excited for you and reeeeally will be hoping for a quick BFP.
(Btw after using my cbfm for about a year I stopped - by then I knew the other signs of my cycle pretty well too, and I'd started to find the cbfm stressful. (And ta-da, we conceived about three months later!) So just to say do stop using it if you get stressed out...)

Blue really glad all is well with you x
