Well the witch has caught up with me at last. So I have decided its time to start a new thread as I think our christmas reindeer need a rest.
So step aboard ladies and join me for a hunt for the golden egg.

That's good news pip. I agree with you, we must be grateful we have one LO in our lives.

Pipbin · 25/06/2012 07:54

No spotting from this mornings run.

This might sound harsh lastbox but just think how many women would give anything to have just one baby. Remember what you do have.

OP posts:
Flyingwithoutwings · 24/06/2012 23:52

That's how I feel lastbox, I had a breast-lump scare in December, was sent to breast clinic within 1 working day, but that working day was Fri to Mon so had the most frightening weekend of my life. All was ok: I have one lumpy breast Confused
But yes, the world won't end if I can't have another and I shall just continue to spoilt DS Wink

lastboxoftampons · 24/06/2012 23:08

Oh, and a funny thing about my convo with my mom - she started to get a bit upset and said she was now nervous that there was something wrong with me (she has just had radiotherapy for breast cancer and just had polyps removed from her colon - all easily recoverable, but it's left her kind of jittery). I had to reassure her that I was fine and that if we couldn't have another baby then it's not the end of the world, we can adopt, etc. In telling her that, it did help to put the situation into perspective for me. I'd be very sad if I couldn't have another baby...but, really, it's not the end of the world, is it?

lastboxoftampons · 24/06/2012 22:08

Treats I'm so sorry :( I hope you're feeling better and that you're headed to your holiday in a relaxed frame of mind. Try to enjoy and forget about TTC? And then you can come back ready to try again just in time for shag week? Thinking of you, hun. xx

Blackcats how are you feeling? I'm so very sorry for your CP.

Silent :( It's crap, isn't it?

Think June was a shit month for all of us. CD3 here Having a heavy day with lots of huge clots. It's just gross. Seeing nurse at GP for smear and to talk test results on Thursday. In doing some research, I think I might have fibroids. Symptoms seem to point towards it. My mother had a hysterectomy for fibroids about 12 years ago or so. I thought it'd be good to ask her the circumstances so I could bring it up with the doctor, so talked to her tonight. Of course then I had to come clean about TTC. Here's hoping she doesn't keep asking me if I'm PG yet!

Pip your car sounds fun! :)

Hello Wiggy Crazy and Lime Hope you're all well.

Flyingwithoutwings · 24/06/2012 20:10

Like the sound of the geeky stuff in that car!! Smile

SilentMammoth · 24/06/2012 19:34

Actually that sound really cool! Bfn today and not even going to bother tomorrow if no af as very crampy. Meh.

Pipbin · 24/06/2012 15:37

A Nissan Note Silent. It had the best connectivity as we are both geeks and need stuff like that. I can press a button on the steering wheel and dictate a text while driving. Oh yeah - geek out.

Are^

Flyingwithoutwings · 23/06/2012 23:01

Really quick "hello" to everyone Smile
And a quick update: started opk tests 2 days ago... Lines seemed equal strength today (day 16) so have dtd. No rumpy pumpy for 3 days so hoping there ate some good swimmers in there.
Having a lie down (have done the old "legs in the air" bit Blush) and not moving until morning.
Fingers crossed Smile

Will catch up ASAP: have been working all hours (8am until 10pm (evenings from home) so haven't had much time for anything Sad

SilentMammoth · 23/06/2012 22:08

What did you get?

Pipbin · 23/06/2012 20:49

Sorry about the BFN Silent but as we have learned already this thread, a BFN before 14 dpo isn't worth the stick that was wee'd on.
And the idea was with the car that it needed changing and we'd better get something family friendly for when I get pregnant just in case.

OP posts:
SilentMammoth · 23/06/2012 20:32

But at least you will be be well prepared Pip!

Tested today. Bfn. 11dpo is a bit silly though. Not that I care, am fully intending to poas every single day until the scarlet lady sings!!

Pipbin · 23/06/2012 12:22

Well we have just sold the two seater convertible and bought a sensible 'family' car. So of course rumour abounds at work that I'm up the stick.

thanks wiggy now if it was dairy milk i'd have pounced on it!

Wiggy29 · 22/06/2012 20:56

Ah guys, seems like everyone is having a tough time on here at the moment, so sorry. The whole ttc thing just effs with your head at times, total lack of control&so many expectations&emotions attatched to it.

Pip- 5 dpo is probably to early but when has that ever stopped us?

Treats- so sorry, seems very unfair, I really hope that it doesn't take the edge off the holiday. Hopefully a break will be just what you need to help you unwind from the daily grindstone.

Blackcats- I don't really have any words, thinking of you though. I can't imagine how disappointed you must have felt. Hopefully, as others have said, even though you must feel frustrated, upset&angry, you can take a small positive out of the fact that it proves everything is in working order.

Sending all you guys some hugs, If i hadn't just devoured a giant bar of galaxy I'd send you some of that too.

Pipbin · 22/06/2012 17:54

Sounds a dreadful thing to say Treats but you are better thinking it is AF, then it's a happy surprise if not.

5 DPO is too early to symptom spot isn't it?

OP posts:
Treats · 22/06/2012 16:50

Actually - I'm not sure it has. I definitely had some spotting yesterday, which was a bit heavier just before I went to bed. Then a much lower temp this morning - as expected. But nothing at all for the rest of today. I'm sure it's just pre-AF spotting, and the horror show will start tomorrow. I'm not keeping my hopes up with the low temp I had today.

Pipbin · 22/06/2012 13:08

Spotting was just while running, nothing since. Still disappointing though.
I've have day 21 and 3 bloods and no mention of low progesterone.

So sorry to hear AF arrived Treats.

Crazytictac · 22/06/2012 12:34

treats I'm so sorry my love. I agree with what blackcats has said. I'm sorry also if I might have inadvertently given you false hope with my comment yesterday. Have you got anybody with you today?

blackcatsdancing · 22/06/2012 11:07

oh treats i am so sorry. Its not just your AF is it, its all the emotions from what you've been through and then your hopes for the future dashed again. You will get pregnant again, just sorry for you that its taking its time. I know what you mean about dates , and hoping to be pregnant. My due date was August 13th and i am going to be devastated if i'm not pregnant by then. I hope you can have a lovely holiday and really relax and maybe that will help with conceiving.

Treats · 22/06/2012 10:45

AF is here.

I can usually cope reasonably well with the disappointment but it's hit me like a truck today - I can't stop crying. Didn't sleep a wink last night so I'm absolutely shattered as well. I think I've just been so busy getting on with things since I lost DS and now that I've got a bit of time and space, it's all coming back to me. And I'm so aware of time passing as well. We're going on holiday next week, and it was always in the back of my mind that I'd be pregnant again by then.

blackcats - I'm so sorry for your CP. I wish MN had a handhold emoticon.

blackcatsdancing · 22/06/2012 10:44

thanks limeleaf. I'm just back and putting off doing some horrid housework. My acupuncturist is lovely but in her efforts to be honest and ethical she can come across as a bit negative about my chances of carrying to term a baby (due to the age of my eggs which she cannot do anything about) so not sure how i feel about seeing her again. She is very aware of the money it is costing me, on the plus side she gave me details of a drop in clinic she also works at (with other acupuncturists) which is far cheaper so I could attend there.

Pipbin i wanted to say that acupuncture is well known to help with spotting/ sorting out menstrual irregularities. Just something to consider if they find you are not deficient in progesterone.

LimeLeafLizard · 22/06/2012 09:21

Oh Blackcats, sorry to hear about AF Sad. That is such back luck. On the upside it is more evidence that you can conceive. You sound strong with it. Hope the acupuncture is good this morning - I'm sure she'll have heard worse and will be supportive, or she wouldn't have suggested it. Take care.

Pip, sorry to hear about the spotting.

blackcatsdancing · 22/06/2012 08:26

silentmammoth my AK comment? Confused
a chemical pregnancy is a very early miscarriage. Obviously to get a BFP the embryo has to have attached for any hcG to be produced so yes it was still a pregnancy. Its an odd term but one used on MN quite a lot, some women list them as CP when doing their stats , some just say very early MC, depends on what feels right for the individual. I don't know if there is a cut off for a CP- someone said it before the heart starts beating- so around 6 weeks but most women who MC at 5 or 6 weeks would call that an early MC. I think generally its used when after getting a BFP days later you get a negative or your AF stats (as mine has today- so no point testing)

On positive side i am seeing my acupuncturist this morning. I was to have a session to help with early pregnancy but last month she said a session on day 1 or 2 of the bleed was very useful to clear the uterus out so i shall have that instead. Of course will be a bit embaressing telling her but maybe this will help with encouraging the flow to really start and move on.

pipbin spotting is very annoying, even if the doctor told you it isn't necessarily cause for concern. Maybe they will prescribe progesterone at some point if they think you are low?
