Well the witch has caught up with me at last. So I have decided its time to start a new thread as I think our christmas reindeer need a rest.
So step aboard ladies and join me for a hunt for the golden egg.

Pip - I see you've been taking EPO. Have you just started? I just started this month at the suggestion of this book I'm reading and found it delayed my ovulation by about a week. Might be why your cycles are a bit wacky at the moment? I remember taking it last time we were ttc and had similar results, not sure why I started taking it again this time! Just a thought...

I actually don't think you've ov'd yet either...

Pipbin · 16/07/2012 20:30

And the WTF is going on here award goes to Pipbin!

So today I have had a tiny bit of spotting. And EWCM. Now I had this last month about two DPO. But I don't think that I have OV'd yet. The temps don't add up and if I had then it would 10 days earlier than normal.

Here is my chart

I also called ClearBlue today about the CBFM who said that because it had picked up a peak it wouldn't be looking for another one. I suggested that I might reset it and pretend that this was CD6. She said that I could do that, but they wouldn't recommend it.

OP posts:
blackcatsdancing · 16/07/2012 18:31

no. either 13 DPO or 11 DPO. The test sticks i have are not super sensitive so I can't test early. i'll see what my temp does tomorrow morning.

SilentMammoth · 16/07/2012 15:49

Any news black cats?

blackcatsdancing · 16/07/2012 07:49

welcome back lastbox. hope you had a good holiday in spite of the weather.

i'm in same situation. not sure whether i ovulated CD12 or CD14, it is so annoying. But if you DTD as you said then you should be in with a good chance. i too see the day before ov as the magical day but 2 days before is also very good!

i'm either 11 or 13DPO. temp still up, have a blocked nose today so hope i'm not coming down with a cold or that that is the reason for the high temp (fx it stays up)

lastboxoftampons · 15/07/2012 21:57

Right, did that completely wrong! LBOT's chart

lastboxoftampons · 15/07/2012 21:56

Hello everyone!

Just back from a weeks' holiday in Cornwall earlier today, sorry I haven't been around!

Love the extreme POAS! Grin made me laugh!

Need to catch up at some point, but in the meantime, very confused about my chart. I ov'd on either CD20 or CD22. FF hasn't made it's mind up yet Hmm it moves the cross hairs all around depending on what fake info I put in Wink Doesn't really matter, I guess, we managed to SWI both days of potential ov and -2 each one (ie SWI, rest, SWI, rest). But missed out the day before ov both times, and I'm always convinced that that's the important day, so I'm not holding out much hope for this month. Plus, I ov'd much later than I have been, so I'm not sure what that's about. More and more, I'm pretty sure I had a CP two months ago (but never did a test, so couldn't know for sure). AND the late ov meant I ran out of CBFM sticks while on holiday Sad Anyway, here's my chart if anyone cares to take a look: Ovulation Chart LBOT's Chart

Hope you're all well! Off to have a read! xx

Pipbin · 15/07/2012 10:36

Not sure Blackcats. I have a follow up appointment with the fertility clinic on the 25th but I'm not sure if we'll get them via the doctors before that.

OP posts:
blackcatsdancing · 15/07/2012 09:00

when do you get results back pipbin ?

i had a lovely POAS dream- well you can guess what happened. anyway decided to PAS this am, even though these sticks are not as sensitive as my usual (25 not 10 and so should not be used early ) and even though i'm only either 12DPO or 10 DPO and of course got nothing. still at 50p was not a big waste of money.

Pipbin · 14/07/2012 17:34

Well DH had his SA this morning and we have spent the afternoon in bed!
CBFM has dropped back down to high after the peak but I'm not convinced it really was ovulation. If it was then I hope the DTD today was enough!

OP posts:
blackcatsdancing · 14/07/2012 17:18

well i'm irritible and bad tempered enough to think i have PMS , and i've been craving bad foods (but as am on a diet have not succumbed- rather proud of myself have lost 6 pounds in 3 weeks). i usually feel like this around 4 days before AF. and have a spot on my chin. moan, moan.

Pipbin · 13/07/2012 18:06

Treats, no, no other signs, except I did have a slight temp rise this morning.

OP posts:
blackcatsdancing · 13/07/2012 16:59

dilly me too with clearblue . on plus side i ordered a mini microscope to look at my saliva. not sure if it will work but far cheaper than the ovulation marketed ones .

rach i didn't know that. I'm sorry. Gosh your DS really was a miracle. well fx you get another miracle, you've done it once so maybe you can again.

Rachstrawberry · 13/07/2012 15:46

I have right side ovary but no fallopian tube and left side fallopian tube but no left ovary plus DH has abnormal sperm... Somehow managed a miracle baby DS1 so dont qualify for funding for any kind of fertility treatment. Obviously i am so so grateful to have 1 child but would love a sibling for him Smile

Dillydollydaydream · 13/07/2012 15:11

AF due next couple of days. I'll be totally gob smacked if I'd managed to get pregnant this month due to lack of swi, my heart hasn't been in it this month.
We're selling our house at the moment, we've had 3 viewers and a second viewing in the week we've been on so far. Fingers crossed someone will make us an offer soon!

Still haven't had a call about the clear blue trial, might have missed the boat there. Shame.

Treats · 13/07/2012 09:46

blackcats - "it went very badly wrong and to get contact he had to go to court" - that's the real issue, isn't it? Sorry - I know you said you didn't want to dwell on it.

I think it's a bit soon to be thinking about who's doing the pickups, tbf Grin.

Pipbin - that's odd. Have you had any other signs - EWCM?

Rachstrawberry - there does come a time when you have to think about all the other things that are going on in your life and remind yourself that your future happiness is not ENTIRELY dependent upon having a(nother) child. It can take a bit of time though if you're having to face up to the fact that it's probably not going to happen.

CD20 here and STILL no EWCM. Touch of thrush though (tmi? sorry), which I think is what's causing the tiny amount of (non EW) CM that I am getting.

blackcatsdancing · 13/07/2012 08:23

hmm he has kept asking exactly what i will expect from him. I have told him about the two days week i'd need an alternative to a paid childcare- one is a late night -i'm not home until 7.40pm so would need him to do pick up by 6pm latest and probably Saturday 9-4.30. He's not said a definite yes or no and i don't need to push it as there are other options but i think he would and anyway my work hours are all up in the air right now . DP has a child, he eventually took the plunge after being very reluctant for years and years. It went very badly wrong and to get contact he had to go to court. His ex is awful. He knows i'm not like that but i think its a real fear- imagine having your child who you love more than anything kept away from you for months until it goes to court. Then he said again how awful the MMC was.
i don't really want to dwell on it and it seems rather academic right now.

rachstrawberrry i can't remember why you think you won't be able to conceive. Are you having investigations?

its been awfully quiet on here recently. Where is everyone?
i'm 8 or 10DPO. Month is dragging, not helped by restructuring at work which is interminable. My hours have been slightly cut again but due to Union pressure they are looking again at the new work patterns . i'm going to see if i can get a post elsewhere (same job , different location) with more hours.

Rachstrawberry · 13/07/2012 02:53

blackcats it could be a coping mechanism for your DP? Sometimes i convince myself that there are lots of positives to not getting pregnant again (more money, holidays, no sleepless nights etc) but its just the way i cope with the fact that there a good chance i wont be able to conceive Sad

Pipbin · 12/07/2012 20:48

Well, as you may have seen from another thread, I had a peak on my CBFM today. Which is odd and, in my opinion, wrong. I'm only on CD12 and I normally OV on CD18-20. And we can't DTD anyway because DH is having an SA on Saturday.

OP posts:
Treats · 12/07/2012 10:01

I share your frustration blackcats - when you've got all the 'science' at your fingertips but your body doesn't seem to comply, it's so hard to know what to make of it. All I can offer is that while you've got a general pattern of temps, it might not be conclusive on which exact date you ov'd. And it depends how many OPKs you did - you might not have tested at the right time.

Sad to hear about issues with your DP. I think some people (especially men? Not sure if that's an over-generalisation) get very hung up about their financial status and it really bothers them to think that they won't be able to afford the things they used to be able to afford. They don't necessarily see having a child as a benefit to be weighed against that. Personally, I was happy both times to accept the financial sacrifices (and for me - they weren't huge - I'm still working so we have roughly the same income as we had before).

If the finances are bugging him, then maybe you should sit down and work out exactly how much money you'll have coming in each month you're on maternity leave and how much you'll have to spend on childcare when you go back to work. There's no reason why you should lose your job - unless you want to give up work - it would be illegal to dismiss you because of pregnancy and motherhood. But remember this is something you're doing together. Don't fall into the trap of promising to take on all the responsibility for the baby as a way of persuading him. He needs to take on his share of the responsibility as well - and his share of the sacrifices.

Sorry - little essay there - but I feel for you blackcats. Thanks

blackcatsdancing · 12/07/2012 08:28

no, its not thrush. shall have to remain a mystery.

so i'm either 7DPO or 9 DPO and getting fed up with this cycle.
DP and i have at least been talking again about having a baby. I can't go into the whole story this morning but he is more amenable , just seems terrified of how it will be paid, frightened i will lose my job and scared of the change to lifestyle. Its really hard when someone is throwing you constant negatives to know how to combat it. Plus i've been all the way through it once so know exactly what is in store for me. Of course i'm not 100% certain anymore. When i had my first in my early 20s its seemed so easy, i didn't even think that much about it but older and wiser now. There are some massive downsides but so many great things too. I can see why so many people sit on the fence for so long until they lose their opportunity.

Pipbin · 11/07/2012 20:38

I find that I get creamy alongside my EWCM except maybe one day when I get loads of EWCM and no creamy.
Maybe the creamy CM could be a sign of a little bit of thrush?

OP posts:
blackcatsdancing · 11/07/2012 13:24

why then - when i did ovulate (and i have as temp up for days now), why did i not get more fertile cm? why did it stay creamy? it's a mystery to me if anyone feels expert enough to offer suggestions then feel free. Of course maybe my fertile CM was right and not the other signs- my temps were a bit out and Opks ambiguous. Oh i can't really get so concerned about it, have enough other stuff going on in my life.

blackcatsdancing · 11/07/2012 13:20

treats if you can keep up with the pace of DTD every 2 days then you're completely covered so don't worry. My one day of EWCM and one day of watery CM don't tie in with my temps or my OPKs this month so i am wondering if Ovulation just got delayed for 2 days due to stress.

Pipbin · 11/07/2012 12:49

Treats I have been taking EPO and get loads of EWCM.
