The BESH Republic Of Rulvakia

Welcome to The BESH Republic Of Rulvakia. The national drink is of course gin, state funded to get you into a state. We have many traditions and customs, such as sechsing, swearing for the fun of it (optional) and urinating on little white sticks.
Enemy of the state is Droid, who must be heckled heartily should it put in an appearance. There is an ongoing lottery to win a baybee, being granted citizenship of The Republic is your ticket to the lottery.

As a democracy all members are entitled to put forward any customs or rules they would like and we can all adopt important but silly titles if we like. See the George Carlin sketch about hats and religion and make your own mind up about whether you would like a ceremonial hat to accompany whichever title/role you bestow upon yourself.

Newcomers should find and complete the BESHtionnaire so we can make sure you are cynical and non-fluffy enough to be granted Citizenship.

bugs Sad that you still have to wait for reassurance. Crossing everything that it will be ok. Hold tight.

faith, glad you are feeling better! That's great. And cave, looks like Frankel had an awesome day today! Are you on cloud 9?

So, cd 12 here and I have given GFBW strict instructions to come home straight after the football to commence operation shagfest. The evening primrose oil is working its magic this month so can def recommend it for anyone who needs - ahem - a little help in the ewcm department Grin

HaveALittleFaith · 19/06/2012 19:27

Yes cos it's clearly that causing my insatiable desire for chocolate and my fatigue nothing to do with massage and strong painkillers

Northey · 19/06/2012 19:11

So. 3dpo, can I tell myself that my massive appetite is a sign of diffedness, as opposed to a sign of greediness? Don't answer...

Northey · 19/06/2012 17:07

bugsy, I'm so sorry scan wasn't as reassuring as it was meant to be. I have sort of been there, in that my early scan showed a prepared uterus but nothing visible in it and I was told to come back in a week to see if anything had grown big enough to see. It is such an odd and horrid situation, held between reminding yourself that all hope is not lost, and at the same time preparing yourself for the worst. What day are you going back?

HaveALittleFaith · 19/06/2012 16:31

Oh that sounds really good! Sounds like a great support :)

queenrollo · 19/06/2012 16:25

Basically a doula is someone to give you moral support and understanding through pregnancy, birth and post-natally. Kind of like an extra birthing partner I suppose. The lady I spoke to has been doula twice to a friend of mine so comes highly recommended. It will take the pressure of HOLB especially during the birth as she will be my 'walking birth plan' so she will communicate with the midwives for me so HOLB can concentrate on wholly supporting me.
Given how stretched our Community Midwife service is I feel I need a little more support from elsewhere and especially as I want a Home Birth.

What's a Doula?! Keep pushing queen! I only talked to an answer phone but got an appointment through!

Mmm I'm relaxed. That massage has chilled out out. Was a bit Shock as she did it but I feel more comfortable than I have on months. We have a free standing hammock and read a bit in the sunshine. Now having a rest on the bed watching Glee :) mmm

queenrollo · 19/06/2012 15:29

it's helps if your surgery give you the right ext number Hmm i got the switchboard to put me through but the CM isn't there, so a lovely lady has put my details in the book so I will get a call back tomorrow.

so...getting appointments.

Have spoken to a Doula today, who agreed that I should probably just take the first appt I can get with the Community Midwife and then see about sorting the scan. Phoned surgery who won't release the appt to me, because I need to be seen at 9 weeks. Told to phone midwives dept at hospital and they will arrange my care. Are they answering the phones? Of course they bloody aren't....

Flippin' heck it feels like all I do on t'other place is hide pregnancy announcements. For DC2. When I was TTC for #1 when they announced DC1 was on the way :(

HaveALittleFaith · 19/06/2012 14:33

Oh and sinky, how annoying about your appointment! It's like you read you've been seeing the wrong people, they send you an appointment, they cancel your appointment! Grr.

HaveALittleFaith · 19/06/2012 13:54

Thanks queen, don't expect to get much out of it except more investigations started but it's progress!

queenrollo · 19/06/2012 13:52

Yay!! that's great news faith

Hallejuyah! You ring and a get a bit arsey and an appointment comes through the next day! Got an appointment for Monday :) its the not knowing when it was going to be that was troubling me.

HaveALittleFaith · 19/06/2012 13:05

Well the pee sticks are a good thing though yes bugs? Not going in the wrong direction at least...I did wonder if maybe they were just a bit early re dates. Hang in there.

The massage has down wonders for me! The abdo pain still lurks but the main issue I was having was lower back ache - presumably referred pain from the other pain, walking funny etc. she's worked out some big knots and feel so much more comfortable!

Had a misse call from a blocked number at home and on mobile. Hate that!

sinkingflameofhilarity · 19/06/2012 11:34

Ooh. Xpost. That sounds a little reassuring? Still crap for you though.

I can do a grow baby grow dance if you think it would be appropriate?

sinkingflameofhilarity · 19/06/2012 11:29

Bugs. So so sorry scan not better news. Sit tight. A week will tell. My heart actually aches for you. (apologies if overly mushy)

My clinic in July has now been cancelled. Only rang to check was ok to go without GHJ. Now have to wait for a questionnaire to be sent to me... I have no idea what they're playing at.

Hehe. Nipple prodding on train. Tell me norf, have people started sidling away from you? Could be an interesting way to guarantee a bit of space in the morning?

Am exhausted this morning. Really late to leave for work now, but still not hauling myself away from my cup of tea and posting on here. Humm. Exhaustion could be a sign of miracle diffedness, no?
