The BESH Republic Of Rulvakia

Welcome to The BESH Republic Of Rulvakia. The national drink is of course gin, state funded to get you into a state. We have many traditions and customs, such as sechsing, swearing for the fun of it (optional) and urinating on little white sticks.
Enemy of the state is Droid, who must be heckled heartily should it put in an appearance. There is an ongoing lottery to win a baybee, being granted citizenship of The Republic is your ticket to the lottery.

As a democracy all members are entitled to put forward any customs or rules they would like and we can all adopt important but silly titles if we like. See the George Carlin sketch about hats and religion and make your own mind up about whether you would like a ceremonial hat to accompany whichever title/role you bestow upon yourself.

Newcomers should find and complete the BESHtionnaire so we can make sure you are cynical and non-fluffy enough to be granted Citizenship.

cavey lo-oves Frankel, cavey lo-oves Frankel.

Northey · 30/05/2012 13:50

I would go back anyway, bugsy. I was told six months after ectopic, bearing in mind previous difficulties.

CaveMum · 30/05/2012 13:49

Second the trip to the Docs Bugs, if nothing else you get yourself on the system.

HWHNN can't come back tonight - boo! He has an early meeting tomorrow morning and can't risk not getting back in time [sulks]. Thankfully I'm not exhibiting any other egg laying signs yet, so here's hoping I can hang on till the weekend and go with the "carpet bombing" approach.

In good news, my free Royal Ascot tickets have arrived Grin I'm going on the first day as Frankel runs in the first race.
I'm sure I've said before, but I've promised myself I'll go wherever he runs in this country this year. Horse of a lifetime!

eurochick · 30/05/2012 13:41

I'd go Bugs. They might argue that the MC resets the clock, but I definitely think it is worth trying to get the ball rolling.

Congrats on being out in the open dor - wonderful day dreams, indeed. I had weird dreams too euro, but I always do this part of the cycle. But what are you feeling guilty about?!?

Massive well done to bugs for running, I've had some time off recently, due to the lovely weather. But I shall get back into it. I have the join a gym (with summer discount) or not dilemma. I have it all the time, last time I considered I fell off my bike and broke bones, so I had the dilemma resolved for me. This time I am in two minds. I prefer outdoor exercise. But the weather ain't going to last...

Sorry about the bright red deluge faif. Onto proper cycle 5 (I messed up my formers and latters last night. Fingers crossed for you. We're having a month off if this is indeed the special driodal forces fore warning me of the imminent attack... Time to regroup, relax and have a natural go for a change.

FriendofDorothy · 30/05/2012 10:46

I think I will find out. I am not sure I will be able to be so patient!

eurochick · 30/05/2012 10:13

Well done on the job Norfy.

And well done on the run, Bugs. The first one after a break is always the hardest so the worst is over now.

How exciting to be announcing it dor.

Talking of dreams, I had the most bizarre dream last night. It was very vivid. I was arrested and questioned, but I can't remember what for now. I obviously have a guilty conscience about something!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 30/05/2012 09:35

Will you find out dor or have a surprise? I just looked at the pic and thought boy!
:( for lem. Then again brown can be old and not necessarily a bad thing?! Unlike my torrents of red Angry yuck. Time for a cuppa methinks,

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 30/05/2012 09:11

But it is brown, norf not pink... Never have had pink Envy

Northey · 30/05/2012 09:02

Don't say that, lem. If its not over for me, it's not over for you.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 30/05/2012 08:49

Spotting has arrived Angry so droid will be here tomorrow...

FriendofDorothy · 30/05/2012 08:35

Thanks faith. I spent a long time carefully wording that public services announcement.

My sister thinks I am having a boy too.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 30/05/2012 08:32

cavey I think I probably would. Is he back at the weekend? Could go for a Wednesday sechsing then wait til Friday?
norf it clearly ain't over, it's just uncharted territory for you. I distinctly remember dor's woe as her temp plummeted :( and now she has a wriggler inside!
dor your pic and post on t'other place yesterday made me cry. Teas beautiful. Fwiw I think you're having a boy just a hunch, not based on science at all
Fortunately for me, strong codiene for my other pain is managing droidal pain quite well. Quite like the idea of moving home and christening every room in an effort to make a baybee. Carpets go in today, startling stuff back tonight! Squuuueeeee!

Northey · 30/05/2012 07:56

If you'll forgive the oversharing (don't pretend you don't love to hear about my bowel habits, Rulvakian slaaaags), droid usually appears for me alongside my morning post-coffee bathroom visit, if you get my drift. I think it's the, ahem, pushing. But there was nothing this morning. On the other hand, the old womble is a bit grumbly. Today is 15 days past the earliest point I could have ovulated. But only 13 past the latest.

FriendofDorothy · 30/05/2012 07:32

The month I got pregnant on Clomid I was convinced I was out because my temps dropped... then they came back up :)

Northey · 30/05/2012 07:30

I would. I mean, if youve not bothered in the past on similar grounds and not got diffed, then you could just try on the grounds that maybe this is actually the moment, and the subsequent highs are a sort of follow on reading.

CaveMum · 30/05/2012 07:11

[prods Norf in the kidneys]

Got a "high" on my shag dictator this morning (CD18) do you think I should get HWHNN back tonight for a precautionary shag? I usually get a few days of "highs" before a peak. [menkuls way too much, way too early]

Northey · 30/05/2012 06:20

I guess there is technically still some hope here. After that single spot of pink there hasn't been anything else. Buzzwams still sore-ish. Will see what happens today.

sinkingflameofhilarity · 29/05/2012 22:48

Thanks guys. Think I will test on Friday again, but blimey, those bfn really sting don't they. You'd have though I'd be pretty immune by now...

Queen, after coming off the pill I had to wait 11 months for a period, then, eventually, post drilling and clomid I was getting shorter and shorter cycles, from 60 days to 2 in a row of 32. V exciting! My non menkul brain says this could still just be my shitty cycles playing up and I could get a nice regular cycle next time, but the menkul brain is screaming "you're right back where you started- Arrrrggghhhhh!". And running round in ever decreasing circles.

Menkul. Totally menkul.

Would you like a kick from me? I suspect I could do with one right back.

queenrollo · 29/05/2012 22:35

by the way, i now look back on those 'long' 8 months and laugh hollowly at myself.

8 months.

8 months

present me wants to go back and slap past me really hard at how pathetic I was for thinking that was aaagges to get pregnant.
What I'd give for it to have taken 8 months this time.

OP posts:
queenrollo · 29/05/2012 22:30

still some hope here flamey but I won't know until a week on Friday...though if droid does not appear I won't be able to POAS until the Saturday.
You have my sympathy on the crap cycle limbo - it was like that the whole 8 months before I got my BFP with DS, and again this time after coming off the pill. GP wasn't interested, so I went down the medical herbalist route. Got me to a 33 day cycle (give or take a day either way). I actually found a predictable appearance from the droid much less stressful than the seemingly endless wait and associated menkulling. I had rubbish menstrual migraine too due to the massive progesterone drop. Sorting my levels out has meant no more headaches.

I'm quite torn on how to feel right now. In Dec when I was expecting to have my lap and dye at the beginning of Jan (cancelled because of chemical pregnancy) I was absolutely convinced that fixing my tube/hydrosalpinx was going to be the answer and I would get that illusive BFP at last.
I feel like I need to have the positive thinking for it to happen, but if I start letting myself truly think that way how am I going to cope with the crushing disappointment when the bastard droid turns up.

Can someone kick me please and tell me to stop being so bloody stupid.

OP posts:
HaveALittleFaithBaby · 29/05/2012 22:21

I would POAS I think. Just so I could indulge in a guilt free gin soaked weekend she says fantasising about bring about to drink without significant pain Tis a long cycle, do you think you laid an egg on the late side?

sinkingflameofhilarity · 29/05/2012 21:41

Ah. The iron in chocolate. . V sensible.

Am on a hen this weekend. Should I POAS again on Friday? That would be cd42 and defiantly no hope if negative, but is there any point?

Any progress with anyone else? Is it a droidal invasion on all fronts or as anyone any hope left? (I'm looking at you norfy)
