A friendly, supportive thread for those of us who are taking a bloody long little longer time than average to conceive.

OP posts:
whereismywine · 16/05/2012 08:56

Thanks ladygee. I saw my registrar again today. My tubes are in good nick but the dye didn't want to go through at first and then whooshed through. I hope hope hope that gunky pipes might just be the problem.

ladygee · 16/05/2012 08:29

Hi ladies,

Sorry for the radio silence recently - combination of work and crappy internet connections has put paid to me catching up on anything!

Just wanted to say wine - I've been thinking of you. I'm so glad everything went well and they haven't caused too much short-term womble damage in the process. Keep stocked up on the morphine. Big hugs x

sarlat - I'm sorry about the horrid scaremongering doctor you had. Hope you managed to stay awake last night remembers having to put matchsticks in eyes to stay awake until 2am! Best of luck for egg collection - sending your follies growing vibes

joycep - your appointment sounds positive and like you had a good conversation about next steps.

gin - hope your follow-up went ok. Have a lovely and well deserved holiday

Hello and waves to all you other lovely ladies. Off for another manic day at work now x

whereismywine · 16/05/2012 06:38

Small update to say im alive, with womble and sparkly tubes. Didn't go at all like I'd thought as the fibroid had degenerated these past few weeks which explains the horrible pain I've been in. I most certainly could have done without open surgery but they did some rummaging and repositioning while they were in there. I feel like I've been hit by a train and will be begging for them not to take my morphine drip out! Registrar heavily pregnant do found her ivf is end of the road line yesterday rather annoying. Fibroid gate is def a chapter of my life I'll be glad to move on from Angry

But Dr Big, in spite of being mortified at what has happened has come up with a plan v similar to what I talked about on here. I also get iui funding which I'm v happy about. On the plus side my womble hasn't been cut and we will be back on the trying wagon early July ironically what is needed to correct my uterus position and shift it fully away from my bowels is.....a pregnancy! If only I'd thought of that myself.

Soz for me me me ness but ive shirt term memory of gnat. Good luck sarlet though - bad scare monger doctor. I am reading so do keep posting funny things. But not too funny as laughing isn't on the menu. Chicken korma with cabbage and swede is though. Boak. Love you all. Off to stock up on morphine!

TeuchterWahine · 16/05/2012 00:09

Gah! Hi to everyone else. wine hope it all went well.
I'm still struggling with the scrolling up and down, finding and remembering stuff!

TeuchterWahine · 16/05/2012 00:07

You ladies do make me laugh Grin and I love the elements that overlap - not TTC stuff.
Princess your rant about metaphors. Maybe it is a competition to see who can be the most coy? Smiled at you being a pensions manager. I worked in pensions until I took off to go tiki-touring.
nelly yay for booking your hsg. Liked the quote too. So very true for the past year here, Angry at 4.5 shake yesterday. Don't like it when the earth gets more frisky, makes me nervous.
sarlat Glad someone spoke something helpful. They might be very bright these docs, but bedside manner obviously gets missed. Good luck with EC Thursday.
Joyce Very pleased you had such a nice consultant.
Having missed this month the tail feathers are going to get a spruce up and be super shiny Wink. Mr Teu looked at me as if I'd gone mad last night telling him about tail feathers!

sarlat · 15/05/2012 23:08

Absolutley Nelly! Stay positive - it can happen and could just be around the corner.

I'm having IVF - DH's sample is fine.

Done the trigger shot. Phew.

Goodnight

MuddyWellyNelly · 15/05/2012 22:35

That is great news sarlat. But proof positive, if ever we needed it, that sometimes Doctors talk complete shite; or at the very least deliver a worst-case-scenario that is not only completely premature, but usually in a tone that implies it's a full on certainty. All that worry for what may have been nothing. 6-8 sounds plenty as a starter Wink. Will you do ICSI or IVF, apologies I can't remember your whole story. Hope you are still awake anyway! Also, I like your theory of this one being more fertile. Between that and the HSG I'm sure to get updiffed, right...?

LOL buzzy at you laughing in your acu, and hope AF stays away.

joy as others said to me after my first appointment, it's a bit too soon to say unexplained as you haven't had all the tests have you? But I guess unexplained should be better than perimenopausal?! But I am very pleased you feel that it was a positive appointment and you are moving forward? Have you been charting, I can't remember? (Can you tell I've been reading TCOYF today!)

Hope interview went well lemon, when will you hear do you think?

I am all for The Sperm! For a bit of eye candy at the very least!!

I have been hobbling tonight so need to go and make a cuppa to wind down before bed. Hope everyone is doing well, especially wine who will fingers crossed be not too uncomfortable, getting loads of TLC, and have the shiniest womble known to woman :)

buzzybee123 · 15/05/2012 21:16

joyce :) good news on the appointment, they seem switched on and proactive

gin oooh where are you going??? Anywhere where the sun is shiny :)

frannie sorry about AF, i'm due in 2 days

euro good luck with 2ww and taking the Pred, I'm liking princess's idea about 'The Sperm' I certainly wouldn't say no to my Polish Plumber, he really was tall dark and handsome Grin

nelly glad you've rescheduled and love the shopping list Grin

sarlat yay to EC on Thursday :)

lemon when do you find out about your interview

princess man I laughed about your dads comment about Barry White and 'stupid' not buying the bread, the Polish builder is different to my Polish Plumber but both could be contenders

waves to everyone else and thanks for entertaining me during acu

sarlat · 15/05/2012 20:40

Evening

I'm all set for egg collection on Thursday morning. They expect to get around 6-8 eggs. Would have like a few more but don't want to be greedy. Grin.

Hope the op went well Wine - have been thinking of you.

Nelly - that last cycle could have been ealy chemical pregnancy. If it was, I think this cycle coming should be slightly more fertile!

Joy - great that you had a good NHS appointment. They seemed to talk sense and reassured you too. I have also started to realise that many people who are long term ttc do have early miscarriages and then nothing. Nobody ever seems surprised but nobody seems to know why either. Even if these tests don't throw up a cause, you will know you have done all the investigations you can and you can march forward with a fresh clinic and fresh approach. I'm feeling all excited and optomistic for you.

Thanks to everyone for the good luck posts - I truely felt the many positive vibes.

Take trigger shot at 10.50 tonight. Really tired, but musn't sleep, musn't sleep.

xx

joycep · 15/05/2012 17:41

wine - thinking of you and good luck!

princess - i'm not sure my acupuncturist does do any good if i'm being honest! I'm clutching at straws and excuses but I think I will continue because I have read so much good stuff about it. Actually my periods are a lot less clotty since doing acupuncture so that is a good thing. Who wrote the @must be hormones book'? And I wonder why our hormones have got out of wack since ttc and m/c's? bloody irritating. and Grin at hoping all those smug people get terrible piles and hot flushes!

nelly - What a lovely quote you posted. I'm secretly in to those mushy kind of quotes. Well done on rescheduling the hsg.

sarlat - Oh that's much better and you are sounding a bit more chirpier. one step at a time but that all sounds good. It still makes me cross that that idiot doctor started scaring you like that. Twaddle! I know there are a lot of hurdles to cross but this is going to happen for you.

frannie - oh I am sorry about af. Sometimes I think it is better when it comes with no warning as then at least it is there and not playing with you by sending out all sorts of symptoms. however, it still totally sucks. Onwards and upwards to IUI no.2.

gin - have a good holiday and wedding.

So I have just had my first NHS consultant appointment. The upshot is....drum roll....it's unlikely they will find a problem. 25% of people they see won't get an ansewr. Having said that, the lady I saw was very nice and I didn't particularly mind she was calling me 'darling'. So her plan of action is to do a monitoring cycle this cycle and to see what's happening. Very lucky that I'm on AF so she kicked me off with a scan (still find it gross when i'm on af, yuk!). Also will get my basic bloods retested again (amh, lh/fsh, etc). After this cycle a decision will be made as to whether I should have a laparascopy. I'm going to push for this. If nothing is found she says ivf as I have tried iui already.

I mentioned the luteal phase thing and she said luteal phase defect is very rare. If there is a short luteal phase , it could be down to ovulatory problems.

I said I thought I was going through a perimenopause but she doesn't think I am as she counted plenty of follicles on the ovaries. So I think I will park that massive worry until I get the results of my bloods.

Mentioned really sore boobs and she just said that's a hormonal thing.

I did ask how I could have got pregnant so quickly in the first place and then nothing for 2 years and she said over 50% of people who end up there have had a pregnancy before.

I was pleasantly surprised by the meeting really. It's all at a very basic level but I'm pleased she mentioned a laparascopy as I don't want to miss out on that kind of fun.

waving to critter, buzzy, euro et al

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 15/05/2012 17:36

Grin princess and euro you made me smile a lot with the plumber and the TTC lingo rant! Oh and distributing nelly's shopping list at Christmas. I am sitting here plotting who would get what...

Have fun at the wedding and good luck with asking the questions needed at follow-up gin!

Loving the cluster posting and well done on moving the appointment nelly.

So sorry you've had an iui fail too, frannie. Good luck for the next one.

Good news sar and pleased you've got someone to reassure you. Good luck for more egg growing this week and good EC soon.

Right - knackered after job interview here, so I am going to make myself a nice cuppa!

buzzybee123 · 15/05/2012 16:51

Note to self don't read mumsnet when on acupuncture table with needles in face, its very painful when I laugh

princesschick · 15/05/2012 16:36

Thanks Euro Thanks for the FYI - ERTD is much less twee than AF. I'm also v. glad that we use SWI on this thread and not BDing. Big cringe. I actually couldn't believe the expression 'baby dancing' when I first stumbled upon it. Surely a massive joke? Then it made me think of Ally McBeal, which is just plain bizarre in the context of TTC. And then my Dad made a comment that perhaps we're not getting pregnant because we don't listen to Barry White whilst doing the deed shudder and then I found out about baby dust? FFS. Baby dust? Like TTC is some sort of magic fairy tale event? Magic baby dust anyone? in squeaky fairy voice. Stupid people. Good luck for your 2ww, I've got my fingers crossed for you this time as well. Here, why not have some baby dust Wink . Oh and maybe we should have a sort of The Voice type audition for said hunks, perhaps called The Sperm, and then if they sounded suitable we could spin our chairs?! Just a thought :)
Gin enjoy your wedding (in normal outfit and in sun Envy) Hope all went well this afternoon.
Nelly Grin I'd love to see their faces. How would the recipient react to the TCOYF?! I had to show OH some of the pics in there, in a sort of creep up and go, "LOOOK at THIS!" his face Shock !!!!! I think TTC has ruined his boy mind forever! Still good preparation for birth methinks!

MuddyWellyNelly · 15/05/2012 16:17

Gah. Cluster post. Also huge commiserations frannie on ERTD Angry.

MuddyWellyNelly · 15/05/2012 16:15

PS princess I dread to think what my family and friends would say if that shopping consisted of my Christmas presents? Oh, urine spray - how kind! With matching breast pads. HmmGrin

MuddyWellyNelly · 15/05/2012 16:11

Quick phone post. Took your advice euro and phoned to reschedule - for 9am this Thursday Grin.

Have been reading the bible. No lightbulb moments thus far other than I think I've under-appreciated how important CM is, so perhaps missing opportunities, and also going to try charting for a but just to confirm if I'm right about my cycle. I do wonder if this past cycle was an early miscarriage Sad. But knowing that would at least tell me I could get pregnant.

Hooray for weddings abroad gin. Enjoy, and hope the appt went well.

Quick wave to everyone else, and their plumbers Wink. Mine is Ginger. I do have a very handsome vet though?

eurochick · 15/05/2012 15:50

Nelly I think the issue with the HSG is the risk that the liquid might push and egg or embie back up thetube or into the abdominal cavity, risking an ectopic. Personally I wouldn't risk it. If you and I are finding it difficult to conceive with 2 tubes why risk losing one for the sake of waiting? I'd try to move the test forward or postpone until next month personally. If you leave it on day 14, I wouldn't swi untl afterwards. It's better to be safe than sorry I think.

bee I love the idea of getting a plumber in to sort out the baby making! Now, where to find a dishy plumber.... Wink I'm thinking some sort of audition might be necessary? (Princess, after typing that I have just read your post and I think we are thinking along similar lines!)

Sarlat Mr euro's three tests were at the low end of normal but not terrible. But his 2 iui samples have been below normal for volume and count. On the upside, the quality of those that are there is good.

I'm glad that you had more positive news today. How awful that the person last week made you worry so much. I really don't think everyone involved in assisted conception realises the mental impact all this has on us.

frannie sorry to hear about the arrival of ERTD. Good luck for iui #2!

Good luck for the appointment Gin!

Princess ERTD=evil red tide of doom. Less twee than AF, I think!

FF decided this morning that I oved on Saturday. I don't believe it though as I got my first OPK on Saturday and that was day 13. I have never oved earlier than day 14 on an unmedicated cycle. I certainly hope I didn't ov then as the IUI wasn't until Sunday. I think FF might be a bit confused because I slept very badly over the weekend so I don't think my temps can be relied upon. Anyway, that puts me in the 2ww and back on the steroids now.

GinSoaked · 15/05/2012 14:21

Hi ladies. Work has been really manic, so no real time to indulge in my mumsnet obsession. Hope you are all ok. Sorry to hear about iui fails frannie and lemons. Also wanted to say to wine that I hope today goes really really well and shiny clean womble is on it's way. Big hugs. sarlat so pleased to hear your follies are now playing ball (or should that be egg?!). Good luck with EC.

We're off abroad for a week for a wedding (sadly not a fancy dress woodland themed one princess), so will be signing off. First though we have our ivf follow up appt this arvo, eek! Have a humongous list of questions, bound to ignore the consultant...

Have good weeks ladies and I hope to see several bfps on here when I get back!

princesschick · 15/05/2012 09:42

Morning ladies,
Argh, my posts were huge yesterday, I guess I kinda missed you all when I was away. I wil try and keep it brief today. But at least it gave you something to read in the carwash Nelly, that made me giggle! I also very much liked your shopping list, which can be set to The Twelve Days of Xmas!! Grin I also think I agree with Mr Nelly about getting your test out of the way, that's what I would do anyway. And then you can get back on the TTC thang when you come back. But you gotta do what's right for you. If you don't want to miss your egg this month then go for it. Strap the feathers on and start hopping on the bad foot Grin
Lemons animal fat and booze, is this some sort of new cocktail I'm missing out on?! Do you remember in Friends when they made Ross drink the fat? Grin Your holiday sounds lovely. Glad that it gave you a chance for heart to hearts with Mr Lemons.
Buzzy Ah the Polish plumber is back? Your "if only the builder / plumber could fix it" made me laugh... (and maybe think a rude thing Blush
Sarlat Well done on getting through your appointment, it sounds like it's all going in the right direction. I really hope that you get your go next week. Keep up the good work lady! Also, isn't it nice when you get to speak to medical people who reassure rather than scare. Glad it was a good experience. And Noooo I'm not a writer. Too many spelling mistakes and grammatical errors! I really wish I was tho, that sounds so much more glamorous than "pensions manager" Hmm. I'm not sure I'm in my 'forever' job, there are lots of other things I'd like to do, but I get to work in the family company, from home and earn good(ish) money. I am starting a new blog tho (inspired by artemis yesterday). It's going to be about being dairy free, which restaurants are good to eat at, which are terrible and some of the other lifestyle stuff I'm doing (non toxic home, organic make-up - all inspired by TTC and hormone imbalance - I haven't always been this 'hippy' *shudder!! and I hope that comes across in my blog imagines self on this morning telling the nation how i princess, started my successful blog career and am now net sensation sorry just off in a day dream there!!). I had to do our renovation books last night as I am the accounts dept in our house as well as the full time breadwinner and wife, so I didn't get 'round to a) writing my blog, which I was looking forward to all day or b) reading from front to cover the latest copy of Elle magazine, which I was planning to do all weekend or c) have a nice evening with OH as it all got a bit stressy over that f'cking floor, my family, his family, our garden, his mum, the new lawn, some bees (??!!), oh and 'im not putting any protein on my plate for dinner (he gets to be resident chef). Yay, love an argument over nothing before bed to ruin all of my plans and evening. Oh and this morning we had no bread, so I had scrambled eggs on plate. Because 'stupid' didn't buy any at the supermarket, whilst I was on flat showing duty last night. This is not doing my mood any favours (as you can tell) and I really think there is something in my diet. Happy, happy, happy :) :) :) (as long as I'm getting all the right foods), and now back to the old Angry Sad Grin pendulum. I'll be going out to buy some brown stuff soon.
Nelly I usually hate those kinda quotes, but that one rings true. It's the whole, I'm not brave, I'm surviving thing sometimes isn't it? Maybe we could include a modified version of Gloria Gaynor's "I will survive" in our tail feather, sparkly dildo fertility dance?!
FrannieAnnie I'm not sure what ERTD means in TTC speak Blush. I tried to look it up, Google helpfully suggested "what does retard mean trying to have a baby" - not much use there then!! Although if we amend that sentence, it could read: "what does retard mean? trying to have a baby." Hmm maybe Dr Google is trying to tell me something?! Sorry that its gone wrong for you though and hope that you scan is ok. Big hug.

Love to you all, I'm off into the world of pensions for today. Only 45 clients to deal with today Confused Waves to everyone I've missed. May your day be merry and bright (Nelly got me in the Xmas mood with her list! - her fault not mine Wink )

Frannieannie · 14/05/2012 23:12

A mini post before bed but just wanted to wish wine lots and lots of luck xx
Similarly, GL with the follie and lining growth sar.
Will post properly tomorrow but did have iui #1 lemons. Unfortunately will be calling up for scans for #2 tomorrow. ERTD came an hour ago- with very few symptoms either way. Fuckety fuck fuck.

MuddyWellyNelly · 14/05/2012 23:02

Need to head to bed but wanted to say that sounds much better sar - you must feel a lot better now. As you say, not out of the woods, but one thing at a time. Hope for more good news tomorrow.

I saw a quote on my FB feed today - a bit mushy but appropriate for us here I think? "Being strong isn't something you choose to do. It's something you are forced to do when being weak isn't an option". We will each of us get through this, I know it.

Sorry about the Eggnog imagery lemon - was just thinking of alcoholic eggs is all :)

Right must go to bed and read the bible. Should I clarify each time I say that, exactly what bible I mean.? Not the one with the Capital B, anyway Wink.

sarlat · 14/05/2012 22:25

Hi Ladies.

Princess - it's great about the new and improved AF. All going in the right direction. Are you are a writer? Your posts are funny and flowy.

Artemis - good luck with this cycle of clomid. What will the next step be for you if you do go private?

Joycep - I don't think you are perimenapausal. From the outside looking in, it seems that your AF isn't early and that you ovulated around the time that you started with the sore boobs. That would be the normal way of things. What has happened this cycle? Are you on new treatment / programme which has changed things. I'm pretty sure your lutal phase hasn't changed. What's the latest with the IVF clinics that you approached? Sorry you have to go through more stress with funny cycles.

Buzzy - thanks for all the support. I am amazed you can knit - what a wonderful skill. Hope AF stays away!

Euro - best of luck. All sounds very positive. Has Mr Euro's sample been on the low side during the testing phase? It's interesting that you think this may be the issue? However, IUI does overcome this by picking the best of the bunch so don't worry about it for now. Easier said than done, I know. Can you do any positive visualisations? Also I was told to wear orange clothes and think orange coloured thoughts - helps fertility.

Wine - Good luck and big virtual hugs for tomorrow. You are brave and strong and you will reap the rewards. Allow yourself lots of time for recovary, emotionally and physically.

Nelly - great about getting the HSG sorted.

Hi to everyone else I missed an thank you for all the concern for me.

Well the scan this morning was better. I was seen by a nurse who spoke sooo much more sense and managed to calm me down. Confused

The scan showed the womb linning is 7. something mm which is more than thick enough - hooray. There were many follicles on each ovary - about 7 or 8 on each I think - hooray. Why did that Dr make me think I only had 2 follicles full stop? Hmm.

Of those follicles, one was 15 mm, about 3 were around 12-13 mm and then the rest were hovering around 10mm and under. Not sure it they all count or will contain eggs or whatever.

Those good follicles are still not quite big enough (the threashold is 16 mm) but there has been good growth and response over the weekend.

I'm not out of the water yet. I am being scanned Tuesday morning to check that trend has continued. If it has, I will have EC on Thursday or Friday.

Over the weekend, I had 2 x accu sessions, rested loads, had hot water bottle on staomach and ate loads of protein, nuts, seed fruit and veg and loads of yoghurt and some milk. The Dr didn't think anything except the drugs caused the follicle growth but i'm not sure. The Dr and Nurse both seemed pleasantly suprised by the level of the growth.

Those of you who told me last week that the dose / protocol was wrong in relation to My initial poor response were right. The change of dose was needed and some people do just take longer. I can't beleive what the Dr was saying.

The only bad news is there is still toxic fluid in my tubes. This will always be a risk in case the fluid tips in to the womb and flushes out any new embryos. But there was no evidence of fluid in the womb today which is a good sign (but no guarentees).

Feeling releived for now but still got a million hurdles to get through.

Thank you to all you ladies. Will update tomorrow.

xx

buzzybee123 · 14/05/2012 22:12

nelly I always get tearful/pissed off around AF time, I don't think Mr B would know what to do if I didn't Grin Sadly my secret hobbling isn't a secret or as interesting as yours. I have a box full of my baby knitting, blankets, hats and jackets, I might end up giving it away
Hide the bible in Mr Nellys underwear draw, if she did find it she is hardly going to tell you.

artemis good luck with your appt next week. I can sympathise with your friend, I think my mother is mentally unstable (and I don't mean it in a bitchy way) and as my sister is very similar so wonder if it is hereditary or just learnt traits?? I'm sure they know you didn't mean any harm by it and he obviously felt he could discuss it with you and might help them come to a decision.

Well the shower screen is now up!!! thanks to the polish builder downstairs Grin Mr B then said well now that the DIY is finished we just have the babymaking drama to deal with Hmm felt like saying if I could call in a builder/plumber to fix it I would!!!
I'm more than happy to knit booties for all you lovely ladies, I can't sit still so need a little hobby, keeps me out of trouble.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 14/05/2012 21:54

Hello lovelies!

Nice to be back and I shall be calling my egg this cycle eggnog. Althpough I hasten to add that I am counting on marinating through high levels in the blood, rather than the entrance down there - thanks for that distressing idea nelly! Well done on weird shopping. I discovered my (cheapy) pee sticks will go out of date in September and that means I can pee on one nearly every cycle until then. But I don't feel like it...

Just wanted to say GOOD LUCK to wine if you see this before going to the hospital. Everything crossed for good droidal removal!

DH and I had a what-if-it-produces no baby chat on weepy AF morning. No conclusions but a good chat. Brought us closer, so that was good. The hols generally did. Very nice.

But pout I would find fostering really challenging. It is the giving back part after mothering for a while that would be awful, I agree with buzzy. But we did briefly chat about adoption (again)...

How did the appointment go today sarlat? Well done on keeping to the diet, princess and feeling better for it. I have to say animal fat and alcohol do make you feel a little ill after a while, so I am back on the healthy eating wagon big time...

Have you done your first IUI frannie?

Quick waves to the others, joycep, mrsd, artemis, teu, critter too knackered to catch up properly, sorry!

CritterPants · 14/05/2012 21:32

wine, really, really good luck - I hope it all went completely smoothly and that you are recovering and cosily wrapped up warm, with your feet up, in the softest cashmere socks post-op... with plenty of tea and magazines and a spring-cleaned womble.

euro glad the IUI went ok - and hooray for the extra swimmers, well done Mr Euro - I'm sure that there will be enough to hang around and do the job? Anyway, fingers crossed for you that this is your lucky month and glad that you don't have any horrible cramping.

princess hope the cleaning has gone well pre-viewings! I am fascinated by your adventures in diet/hormones, and agree that there is lots of crazy stuff in the food - especially here in the US - but like you I also see women getting pregnant very easily who are most definitely not on anything close to a healthy diet or lifestyle. Grin at the Constant Crapping Tablets... I can't read that without thinking of KD Lang singing it to the tune of 'Constant Craving'

buzzy sorry you are feeling tearful. I don't think I could handle knitting booties - I don't have the skills, but even if I did, I think it would be too sad-making. You are a brave soul!

joyce sorry to hear about the short LP, and sorry that you're feeling rotten with AF back. I would find it really annoying if an acupuncturist was telling me my thermometer was broken because he didn't know what to say about my cycles. We don't all fit into boxes. Angry

artemis I will be interested to hear what the doctors suggest for you after clomid, if this cycle hasn't worked. I've got my appointment with the fertility guru next Tuesday and am itching to know what he's going to suggest, given that 150 mg Clomid has been such a flop for me.

pout I haven't thought about adoption or fostering yet... trying not to meet trouble halfway, as my mum says. Hope you are feeling ok.

teu that's frustrating about the stomach bug!

sarlat how are you?

frannie grr about your friend's comment. I worry that I am that way sometimes - I was talking to one of Mr C's pals about kids, and he said that he didn't want any, and I was nosily asking him why Blush and he said he just didn't want to change his lifestyle for children - he later told me this week that he's been agonizing over whether or not to have children because he has a lot of mental illness in his family, as does his incredibly sweet and lovely GF Blush and they are worried it is hereditary. I felt like a right plonker, and of course apologised profusely, but I was so ashamed that I'd caused them more hurt and embarrassment.
