I do the same thing! I wanted everyone to tell me that the symptoms I had were the same as what they had when they were pregnant. And they did!

The thing that I really hope I remember next month and the month after that is that if I think I am having pregnancy symptoms, then you will have a positive pregnancy test. It's not pregnancy symptoms until you've implanted - which is more than likely three or four days before AF.

I am not trying to get you down or to believe that you're pregnant. You've had a few positive streaks so I am more sure that you may be - based on the tests you've already done. And based on that alone, I would do a digital test to confirm it.

And then you move on.

And if (after a negative digi and 10 more tests) by some small chance you ARE pregnant, it's not going anywhere. It will still be there. :D

no i like how honest u are kicking and ino me comparing is just trying to find hope ino deep down im not ive had all AF symptoms, and those tests will be evap lines, ino it is going to say "not pregnant" but maybe i need to see it too stop all this :) x

Firstly, if you think you're pregnant - test. You're going to go dilly anyway so put yourself out of your misery and test. Your body is VERY different to anyone else's. It's unique. So you can't compare to someone else

I am just going to lazily copy and paste something I wrote on another thread:

I think the hard thing is that everyone is so different, but we are so desperate to know so they average things out and they make us believe that we are all the same.

I have been on this site for what...two weeks? And one thing I have already seen is that we all have completely different symptoms for the same thing. And when one person says, you're DEFINITELY pregnant because I had that with my first pregnancy - they're wrong and your DEFINITELY not pregnant.
Or visa versa. Only, I'm not pregnant :D

I read sites all the time about the symptoms of fibroids. Lemme tell you - I nearly bled to death about 4 times? They all bang on about Tranexamic Acid and that did nothing for me. I bled straight out, had a blood pressure crash, a fit and an ambulance visit.

Everyone is different. Every single one of us is different.

There's no comfort in that :D

Hmm i might wait, just been looking on internet and this girl took the same brand tests as me, the line looks like mine, and she was13dpo, she also got a neg on digi,. then at 14dpo got a +. Should i wait? So confused. can't handle seeing "not pregnant" then ino AF is coming AND ive waisted a tena haha! x

KickingUpQuestions · 18/05/2012 16:21

You can go now then. They say drink very little and don't pee for 4 hours so you're still fine.

Hourly increments make a difference in a few hours. Not so much in one hour. But I know what you mean. If you've only been waiting an hour - you would probably be better off waiting another 3 hours.

But if you've been waiting for 4 hours, another hour isn't really going to make a difference. It'll be there or not now :)

everythinghappensforareason · 18/05/2012 16:17

I was just thinking the longer u hold ure pee, the better the sample?

Erm nope, had a small bottle of pepsi since about 1pm and havent been the loo!

OP posts:
KickingUpQuestions · 18/05/2012 16:06

I have no idea to be honest.

Go do it?! You're going to do it anyway and an hour won't make a difference.

Have you had a lot to drink?

everythinghappensforareason · 18/05/2012 15:57

I don't do fmu tests, i have always got my positives in the evening haha!

Yes deffinatly colour! was a blue dye deffinate blue x

There were lines? Coloured lines? After how much time?

I've never seen a coloured on any of my BFN's no matter how much time passes.

I would take it in the morning - if you've taken two today, there won't be any difference. Either tomorrow morning or evening

everythinghappensforareason · 18/05/2012 15:49

Congratulations country :o

Im sooo tempted to take my digi this evening. I took both the numark tests.
Ino i shouldnt have but ive just looked again, took 1 at 9.30am and 1 around 12ish, both dried positive, colour lines! doesn't count though? :(

what do we think? should i hold of until tomorrow evening? AF should arrive today or tmoz. had AF cramps all day, even took parecetamol. No AF yet!!!

redstrawberry · 18/05/2012 15:21

ooooo Country sounds very positive indeed Wink
Hopefully one BFP will start off all of us.

Kicking turned 30 this year and DH is 32.
Going to disappear now but will be back on Sunday - got a couple of social events this evening and tomorrow.
But going to avoid the Wine although normally on days like today I would be polishing off quite a few glasses of red.

KickingUpQuestions · 18/05/2012 14:55

Pardon 4 girls! :D

KickingUpQuestions · 18/05/2012 14:55

Ooooh looking VERY exciting!!!

Yeh I would imagine that 3 girls can be girlie! :) What were your folks like?

I have still not been proven wrong :D

And remember that you guys would be the exception, rather than the rule. Considering the number of entire families that grow up to be an CA, a solicitor, a doctor and a dentist - that's definitely not common. But your family must have done something very right :)

Ah shame - my DH would have me testing ALL THE TIME. I liked your (as if)

:D

It's looking like we have at least a couple winners for this month!

CountryKitty · 18/05/2012 14:36

Hi guys just read through your posts - you lot have been busy!

My 3 sisters and I were all massively girlie growing up and are now: Dentist, chartered accountant, doctor & solicitor. So I wouldn't say these are overly girlie professions. I have 2DD's (7&4) and one is the queen of pink princesses and the other a total tomboy. Both brought up exactly the same. I think it's important to let kids do what they want to do. Me, and 1 of my sisters, really find it hard now to have careers (albeit part-time) and kids and sometimes wish we had chosen something more family friendly. Sounds snobby/ patronising but don't mean it that way. OTOH I look at some SAHM and know I could never do all the messy craft stuff, loads of patience etc that their day involves. I guess what i'm trying to say is each to their own. As long as we try our best and are happy with our choices then that's ok.

everything Sorry BFN this morning but it wasn't fmu so don't count yourself out yet. wait a day or so and test again.

Well back from work & shops and got 4 (yes 4!!) superdrug tests. Only problem is that I only managed a teeny tiny wee and it wasn't enough for the test at all so used another internet cheapie and got a definite, no squinting, BFP. However, as you ladies are aware these tests are crap so will hold off opening the champers (would only have a wee bit) for now. Having to drink loads of juice to try and make myself wee again!

Discussed my late AF with DH this morning and he doesn't want me to test for another 2 weeks (as if). He is so busy at work at the mo, and worries about risk of mc again, so if I get a BFP on a proper test then won't tell him for a bit. Sounds odd I know!

KickingUpQuestions · 18/05/2012 14:29

Mine too :)

So I know what you're going through. Except I've been doing it for a teeny bit longer :D

How old are you? Did I ask that?

Oh and can someone copy and paste my logical answers down there for when I need them next month? Please? Thanks

redstrawberry · 18/05/2012 14:20

lol can't you tell from my obsessing?
Its my first time and first cycle of ttc. Been charting for a year and a half though. I was ready but DH wanted to wait.
It just feels so long when I look at my cycles dating back to early 2011 on the app.

KickingUpQuestions · 18/05/2012 14:15

red Have you had a baby before or is this your first time TTC?

KickingUpQuestions · 18/05/2012 14:10

You're not out until AF arrives :)

I just hurt a lot more because I had 4 extra days of negatives. And you hold on to the idea that you're pregnant.

But the truth is that those tests are largely advertised at the highest sensitivity so they more than likely do pick up a lower sensitivity - they just don't say it on the box (especially clear blue apparently).

Keep testing though :D

redstrawberry · 18/05/2012 14:09

ladies I just wondered when we say cramps how strongly do you feel them?
I had one day of strong pain where I had to gasp and inhale and exhale deeply as the pain was stabbing sensations.

Then I had cramps which can be described as mild to medium, not painful, but you can feel them down below.

kicking according to implantation calculators - I should be implanting anytime this weekend till Tuesday. AF is due on Saturday next week. I will wait and test two days after AF is late as I am never late before.

I was just wondering about cramps and symptoms I have felt so far - I know I dont get any except big sore boobs before AF is due. So wondered if these cramps are not AF symptoms.

everythinghappensforareason · 18/05/2012 14:02

Ohh interesting kicking im pretty sure im out, but its always good to no the facts, i think ive said before on here how when i tested on the evening AF was due + missed when pg with DS, i used a clearblue plus(non digi) and the line was not bold, was still very light. at that time i was on a 28days cycle. just got me thinking xxx

OP posts:
KickingUpQuestions · 18/05/2012 13:56

And yes. It happens like that. Your eggie meets spermie and they laze about for a couple days. Then it takes 3 days for the journey down the tubes. Then it starts to imbed in the walls. It takes about about 2 - 3 days for that. Once its imbedded, the placenta starts to release hcg.

It takes hcg about 2 - 3 days after that to show up on blood tests and about another 3 - 4 days to show up in your urine (unless you're using sensitive tests then I think it's about the same as a blood test).

I also read a statistic that most implantations that happen at 12 days and after land up not growing properly. By most I mean 86%.
