Hi Ladies, sounds like weve all been busy (ahem *kicking) ;)

i ovulated yesterday afternoon, my ovulation pain is becoming worrying now :( i remember starting this thread + mentioning the pain. its like burning stabbing pain around the ovaries (both of them, last two months)
Apparently some mild cramping is normal, but these rnt mild, i have to take pain killers (which dont work) last month the pain lasted 2-3hours, this month half hour-hour. any ideas pleasee??

And if u r like clock work and ever get AF early - late it could be a CP, my doctor told me almost every woman will probably have atleast 1 through there life without even noing, sorry that wont cheer u up ino. and maybe sometime people's r just abit off, because u can OV at different times, but luethal phase remains the same. this is what ive read anyways :)

CD 16 today and still no OV that i can detect.

We DTD last night making it active on CD 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15

so if i did OV am confident that its not been missed.

Need to maintain every day for next 6 days then EOD until AF just in case

unless i find i OV am after 6 June then will revert to every day

tired!!

QueenOfTheDrama · 30/05/2012 16:57

So sorry to hear about af red but glad that you're still so positive about everything. Good luck for your next cycle, yes I think dtd often is all you need to do. x

KickingUpQuestions · 30/05/2012 12:28

I was 10 days late in December. It was the shittest time of my life. We kept getting BFNs (and they say to treat it as if you were pregnant)and we got a faint BFP and then AF arrived a couple days later.

Then four days late last month and tons of tests - but still no BFP.

I genuinely think that if you get a BFN on the day of AF, you treat it as a late ovulation.

Otherwise, you just kill yourself with worry

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 30/05/2012 12:24

Kicking is right. There are so many threads that people start saying I am 10 days late and no af, and I feel awfully sorry as these ladies think they might be pg, and you do hear stories but in reality it's only a very small chance. It's horrible when that happens.

KickingUpQuestions · 30/05/2012 12:06

I also did some counting and I think I've been counting my days as like "Af arrived on this day, so the next day is CD1".

Then we tend to bonk until CD14 or CD15 (which would actually be CD13 or CD14 because I've been counting incorrectly), and then we do it when we feel like after CD14.

This month, I am covering my bases for the whole effing time

KickingUpQuestions · 30/05/2012 12:03

Ah red I am so sorry. I know how it feels though and the ANNOYING thing is all the people that say "I know of xxxx person who tested a week late" and the thing is that they make it sound common. But it's not. Only 2% of people don't test positive on the day AF is due.

Then statistically, the later you implant, the higher the chance that you lose the pregnancy. There was an 86% chance of the pregnancy not being sticky enough if you implant after 12DPO.

I think everyone needs the month where they are late and they get all excited about the symptoms. Just so that you can understand that there are no symptoms - not until you get a positive test. I am a lot calmer this month after the last stupid rubbish month.

Sobbed my eyes out for 2 days!! DH was magic though and we've ditched the OPK's and sticks and testing for things.

I am on CD15 now and we're just DTD often. I am going to DTD every day from today (CD15) until CD23. Then EOD until AF arrives.

redstrawberry · 30/05/2012 11:34

kicking do you also dtd right upto the day before AF is due? I am just wondering because I think I must have OVed really late and this time I'm thinking of dtd eod right till the last day.

redstrawberry · 30/05/2012 11:30

Also I am NOT going to listen to any cramps or twinges or symptoms this month. From now on just dtd and wait for AF. No peeing on sticks either.

I am goin to try the ridiculous 'relaxed' approach!

redstrawberry · 30/05/2012 11:29

3 days late but the evil witch did arrive and was painful as hell! It's so strange when your cycle is like clockwork and its late, then you get your hopes up and then they come crashing down again with bfns.

Had lots of cuddles from hubby and feeling all uplifted for next month Smile

How you all been?

Kicking - hats off to you! We are going to got for eod too but not sure how we will manage that! At least I can have some wine for now Grin

KickingUpQuestions · 30/05/2012 09:06

I am on CD15 today. No sign of CM or EWCM. DTD on CD 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and gave it a miss last night on account of wanting to do it every day from tonight until 7 June.

It appears that I may ovulate later than I thought. Although, maybe I just won't OV this month?

My body was clockwork until I started wondering about this stuff...

QueenOfTheDrama · 29/05/2012 21:11

Hi everything yes it has been quieter but I think we've all been getting on with dtd haven't we! For me the 2ww starts from tomorrow so there'll be plenty of frantic posting coming up from me I'm sure!

How are you getting on?

everythinghappensforareason · 29/05/2012 12:09

Oh red :( hope you are okay! id say that 1st response r 1 of the best if not the best, pick up small amounts of HGC, pink dye(no evaps). i had a positive the day B4 AF was due in March, rang my GP straight away panicking because of previous MC, an hour b4 my app i started bleeding :(
guess ill never no for sure, but think i could have had a CP or VERY early MC!
hope you get an answer soon hun (hugss)))

How is everyone doing? this thread is so much quieter this month :) think weve all calmed down abit, hope ur all enjoying the sun!!!

OP posts:
QueenOfTheDrama · 28/05/2012 17:25

Hope you're ok red?

KickingUpQuestions · 28/05/2012 10:10

red

Any news?

KickingUpQuestions · 27/05/2012 16:34

go try a superdrug one but you may have ovulated later than you thought

first response is quite reliable to be honest. to like 98% of the population by the day af is due.

i would book a blood test to make sure.

QueenOfTheDrama · 27/05/2012 13:17

I've never used first response tests red so can't really say but I've read that they're meant to be quite reliable I think? Is that what you've been using?

Sorry to hear about the bfn, but hopefully you just ovulated late.

Loving the sun everything - don't want to go back to work tomorrow!!

redstrawberry · 27/05/2012 12:30

Hi everything I'm trying to work out whether I'm pregnant or not
Had 3 bfns this month including one this morning.
I'm over 2 days late Sad with some very mild brown discharge now and then.

I think I have given up hope after today's bfn on 15dpo.

Anyone know how reliable first response tests are?

everythinghappensforareason · 27/05/2012 09:49

Hi Ladies, How are we all holding up? any news anyone?

Hope your all enjoying the sun :o

OP posts:
everythinghappensforareason · 26/05/2012 13:51

I only used 1s from amazon, really cheap but then i wonder if u get what u pay for? and there not so reliable? ive found the same style tests but the pregnancy 1s rnt to good, only give very faint positives in my experience :)

im finding this month so much easier with not using them. around now is when things will start happening :) im staying calm and just enjoying the sun and dtd :o

OP posts:
QueenOfTheDrama · 26/05/2012 11:17

Agreed everything - although I only ever used cheapo OPKs I'm still much preferring this month not using anything like that and just dtd with fx Smile

And the lower stress levels because of this can only be a good thing surely?

everythinghappensforareason · 24/05/2012 20:04

haha agree with you there :o

  • id say if you have been ttc for 11months with opk's and not up the duff. then u can't do no harm not using them. just regular good old sex haha!!

I don't no why i wasted all that money now on them, silly really. never used anything the last two pregnancies, it only gives us false hope that we MUST have concieved because weve had positive opk's and dtd. thats what i was like anyways :) atleast this way ino when around i ov but not exacly so if im not pg by the end of the month ill just assume i missed the boat this time :) haha

OP posts:
KickingUpQuestions · 24/05/2012 14:14

I think it takes a lot more out of you to labour and then have a c-sec. I've seen some pretty tired mums out there.

My SIL said the labour bit was horrible and that they don't tell you that. She said someone just said "It's horrible, isn't it?" and she just said..."yes"

And if you're in labour for 24 hours, you just stop sleeping. I think then, you have even more chance of just being shattered with a new born and that's even harder to deal with.

Drive-through is much easier Grin

KickingUpQuestions · 24/05/2012 14:12

We have to be pregnant before we even bother about how we're going to get them out.

I feel quite relaxed this month to be honest. I keep wanting to go online and buy bits and bobs and then I realise that I can't buy anything or look at anything because I've promised myself that I won't and I feel better.

I have no idea when I'm going to OV though. Strange not to POAS for the first time in what...10 or 11 months now

everythinghappensforareason · 24/05/2012 13:12

i think its pretty common too have a good labour, ino a few people who have. i had a 24hour labour that ended with c-sec. defiantly like picking up a maccies through the drive through kicking haha!
