How unlikely is unlikely...

Blush too embarrassed to ask anyone in real life so thought I'd ask mumsnet...

Ok, well period normally as regular as clockwork.... Was due on thursday, no sign as yet. If I am pregnant it would be a 'ahem' splash pregnancy... As we have done stuff in the vicinity but not full penetration(this month)... (not ttc... Was waiting until the autumn for that, but not using contraception on this occasion either)...

So while I know it's technically possible... It's very very unlikely...right??

Come and join a TTC thread when you do. Meanwhile best of luck to you for your job and have a lovely time hiking!

Sarcalogos · 03/05/2012 12:47

Sorry LimeLeaf you missed all the drama. Hope you're ok, I think you're right, we will start ttc soon.

Blimey OP, here I was holding your hand and then I missed the POAS drama last night, just as the thread got busy!

So, sorry it was a bfn, hope you aren't disappointed and can start looking forward to your hiking holiday again..

If it helps at all, my BIL & SIL had a similar situation about a year ago. They weren't planning to have a baby but then had an accident they were drunk and forgot contraception and from not planning a baby were suddenly disappointed to get a BFN. After that they decided to TTC properly, and their baby was born recently.

GenericDietCola · 02/05/2012 20:30

Aw, hope you're OK.

pickles35 · 02/05/2012 20:26

How do you feel about it? I had a similar experience albeit the winky did go into the foof, but we were not trying at the time, did hurry us along to try though Smile

Sarcalogos · 02/05/2012 20:23

Um feel a bit weird, a week ago I wasn't thinking about being pregnant at all yet, was Definately happy to wait another few months, now I feel quite fond of the idea of a January baby! Ah well, not to be I guess.

I'm off to fetch wine, tea and watch crap tv and enjoy having the house to myself for the evening! Guess there won't be much of this if I do get pregnant eventually!

How did you feel? Relieved or disappointed?

DilysPrice · 02/05/2012 20:22

Ah well. Have a great time hiking though, and when you get back you can actually try to conceive, using more, ermm, approved methods.

StrawberrytallCAKE · 02/05/2012 20:21

Oh, fingers crossed for you for saturday. Enjoy the wine :)

lazzaroo · 02/05/2012 20:20

Hope you are feeling okay about the result. Now you can open that wine!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 02/05/2012 20:20

Sorry it's a BFN :( I think testing again on Saturday is a good idea.

DoodleAlley · 02/05/2012 20:19

Oh OP I'm sorry. I do know how you feel.

Go and curl up and treat yourself with all the stuff you wouldn't have been able to have if pg and look forward to plans you've made.

Things will feel better in the morning

bugoven · 02/05/2012 20:19

I'm watching too!!! Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 02/05/2012 20:19

Northey · 02/05/2012 20:19

Sarcalogos · 02/05/2012 20:17

Northey · 02/05/2012 20:11

Maybe she is one of those people who has trouble going if she thinks people are listening.

Though considering the alacrity with which she shared her "vicinity" story... :o

pickles35 · 02/05/2012 20:10

God this is exciting! Is there wee yet?
