Good luck, kirrin and GPB!

And oh, I hear you on the fed up with being sick.

GrandPoohBah · 30/04/2012 20:28

Good luck tomorrow kirrin.

GrandPoohBah · 30/04/2012 20:28

It's at 12pm. DH can't come because it's his first day at a new job, so my mum's coming instead.

Kittens! I would be totally Envy except we're getting a pair in about 3 weeks too, as, like you tits, I'm a loving and caring friend who helps out in times of need and clearly 4 is a much more appropriate number of cats than 2.

I feel really ungrateful that I'm fed up of feeling sick. Urgh.

kirrinIsland · 30/04/2012 19:30

Good luck tomorrow GPB

I have my NT scan tomorrow - metalling is not the word! Like Jaffa I have also lost pregnancies after scans before, so the fact that I had a good scan last week is not providing much reassurance at the moment.

mumtum that's all sounding very positive :)

tits Loving the phrase ninja sickness! That's where I'm at at the moment - my cornflakes made a surprise reappearance this morning.....

bonzo I've been to all my scans on my own so far, as DP stays at home with DD. It's ok, bit more stressy than if he was with me but I'd rather that than no scan.

leedy hope you're feeling better

StateofConfusion · 30/04/2012 19:24

Oooh kittens, I'm jealous. Dp is alergic, selfish git!

My mum has a gorgeous puppy though (pic on profile)

CountryMouse27 · 30/04/2012 19:11

Everything and a bit more crossed for you Grand, is it morning or afternoon? Not sure which I'd prefer, to get it done first thing or not.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 30/04/2012 19:04

I know clementine thing, I eat 4 in one go ATM. Blush

In other news, me being totally incapable of saying no me went to look at my friends 8 week old kittens.... We now have 2 bouncing around downstairs. Grin
Luckily we have the experience and time, funds for them, DP didn't bat an eyelid when he came in and even said he is more than happy to do the litter box, (he is worse than me with cute baby things) now we must name them!

GrandPoohBah · 30/04/2012 18:56

High five for clementine eating, Leedy - I'm very much enjoying them too. Having said that, I just got back from work and ate a spicy curry pot noodle Blush

Scan tomorrow. Eek. This is the Big One for us - everything has gone wrong before 9 weeks in the past so if we've made it this far we're doing amazingly.

Glad your exams went ok Tits Smile

CountryMouse27 · 30/04/2012 18:42

Wow: thank heavens I'm not the only one who thinks she's losing her mind!

Sorry you're feeling so crappy leedy, and a friendly slap to you too ref the new metalling theme. Dont be daft, the only reason you're so worried is because its something you want really badly. Although I really should take my own advice because its the exact same conversation that I've had all weekend!

At least clementines are good in vitamins! Enjoy but make sure you wash your hands, after a similar binge I once ended up with bright yellow fingers for 24 hours x

leedy · 30/04/2012 17:39

Urgh. Unbelievably sick. Actually rang in sick to work because I was too urpy to function. Only actually vomited once but the rest of the time I'm just constantly burping and nauseated. At least I can hold down food, but it has to be EXACTLY THE RIGHT FOOD at EXACTLY THE RIGHT TIME, or else, urp. At the moment I am binge-eating clementines.

New metalling theme: if this one doesn't work out, I have no idea if I can put up with this again.

StateofConfusion · 30/04/2012 16:51

Good luck with the scans bonzo really hope my mw will let me have one at 10wks, I did with ds and dd to date me, so hopefully I can this time, the mw care here is fairly good.

bonzo77 · 30/04/2012 16:20

Same here state, exactly the same. Have now booked an early scan privately for 29/5 when I will be 8+3. Gp has also referred me for one nhs but it will be during office hours, so DH won't be able to go. I might go anyway though!

StateofConfusion · 30/04/2012 15:50

Feeling quite positive and happy today, despite it not all feeling real still, feel like I'm lying to myself iyswim.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 30/04/2012 15:35

Exams were all ok I think!

Sounds positive Mumtum :)

Friendly slaps to those who need it today. :)

MumTumWanted · 30/04/2012 15:19

Hi ladies

How did the exam go tits??

Slaps to those that require ......

Hi to everyone else hope all is well?

Just wanted to say thank u to all your advice , I'm trying to do one day at a time ( tits like u , today I am pregnant) though I can't seem to shake that empty sac scan picture from my head. I know it was early I know I'm on the cusp im trying ti be positive and rational but I also know it could now have stopped growing and I could just be waiting for the bleeding....

But today it hasn't and last night I had the most monsterous sickness and heartburn but didn't feel I could complain. HmmMy hcg has risen I'm now well over 1500+ no idea what it should be but it's risen from Friday when they took my bloods so that's a good sign right ??? Confused

Enjoy the rest of your day peeps xxxx and thanks again for the advice xxxx

sunshinesue · 30/04/2012 15:07

slaps to the ladies that want them Grin.

I know what you mean jaffa the further along I get the more real and more unlikely it seems at the same time. I don't have any kids so it's nigh on impossible to shake the feeling of impending doom. I know what I'm doing as far as a mc goes, I've no idea how a successful pregnancy feels. Got my first non-emergency scan on Saturday, just hoping I get that far, I don't usually manage to make it to the scheduled scans as it all goes wrong first.

squeakymac i've had acu after my first mc. I love it and really do think it's helped me but it's not for everyone. I'm not an expert by any means but if you've got any questions on the specifics let me know.

JaffaSnaffle · 30/04/2012 14:19

Only if you'll slap me back tiago. I have a nice kipper handy for us both. It is like the more unlikely a mc is, the less I can believe everything is ok.
I have spent the day bracing myself for bad news, convinced that when I go for the NT scan on Weds, they will tell me it's over. I have mc after a scan, but rationally I know it's not likely to happened again, and yet here I am panicking like an idiot.

Tiago · 30/04/2012 13:55

Please slap me with a wet fish. I will officially be 13 weeks tomorrow and so in with an excellent chance of actually having a baby. I have therefore spent all of today so far essentially holding my breath waiting for the other shoe to drop and it all to go wrong.

Good luck tits

WhyAlwaysBoris · 30/04/2012 08:18

Good luck with your exam, tits

Good morning ladies Smile

Firstly < piles in full English and heaps of thick cut white bread with boreal butter, coffee, tea (including decaf) >

I'm suffering what I call ninja sickness, which I must say I prefer to the all day nausea, it's quite inconvenient though when one has a mouthful of toast and suddenly there is vomit, everywhere. Hmm but I feel a lot better. Huzzah! Smile

I think the house being clean and clutter free helps though, I feel somewhat lighter. quiet day for me today, grocery shopping after the school run then nothing until a quick exam at college at 2.00pm.

I even found a pair of jeggins that I fit into and paired with a long top and cardi I look well, okish. Grin

Anyway.

Today I am pregnant.

WhyAlwaysBoris · 30/04/2012 07:33

jaffa my DS is almost 3 and is the same, he banged his head today and had a right good bubble followed by a big beaming smile and a hug for mummy Confused

right i am on crisps, wine and MN rightmove looking for our forever family home, in a nice area with good schools and a not so nightmarish school run, near to tram into Manchester, four bedrooms, garage, shed, huge garden and decent parking..... on a measly budget Hmm

StateofConfusion · 29/04/2012 21:19

Jaffa how far along are you?

My dd is 3 and going through a similar phase, elbows are always digging into me, and feet when shes on the sofa with me! And my 4yo, well there are no words for his moods, he headbutted my tummy today and i may have had a slight breakdown at him.

sounds like a good day kirrin

kirrinIsland · 29/04/2012 18:28

Lucid? Luck!

kirrinIsland · 29/04/2012 18:26

I'm still in my pjs Blush took one look out of the window this morning and decided it just wasn't worth even thinking about going out, so we've poottled about all day. And Harry Potter is on tonight - it's like the perfect day!

Welcome squeaky good lucid with the ttc. I've never tried acupuncture. I used a CBFM which works for me.
