My name is midget and I am a sneaky in public knicker checker. . Off on holiday today. Sunshine and sand but no sex. martha Monday is over. Screw you Monday, it's all about Tuesday now. Packed my Doppler and a big pack of KY instead if gel. May be a little embarrassed through airport security. Will check in for news and any foreign metalling updates.

StateofConfusion · 14/05/2012 22:28

Just checking in to say martha monday is nearly gone Smile

I've calmed down a lot since the spotting last night as I feel very pregnant today --ie like shit--

Munchin · 14/05/2012 22:08

Hiya ladies tg Monday over.

boris thanks for that. I ideally want to wait till first AF comes before ttc. But im still waiting for the bleeding post erpc to stop. It will be 3 weeks tomorrow. Fed up of it at this stage. Fair play to you though for persevering with your hospital. Unbelievable and hopefully consultants secretary gets you sorted sooner.

Congrats to latest pg ladies mrs pear and onedayatatime. Hopefully baby dust will spread on this thread.

mumtum tg you got your scan brought forward to this week. Do these people not engage the brain. You just need to know one way or the other. It's like a sentence this waiting and not knowing and the symptoms are just so unfair if baby is not to be.

martha glad your Monday is over.

Welcome to newcomers and sorry that yous find yourselves here.

I'm sorry I can't scroll up on phone and reread other posts again. But I am finding it a great help all the stories and tips. So thank you all ladies.

backwardpossom · 14/05/2012 22:08

Manda is it worth a call to NHS Direct (or NHS 24 if you're up my way)?

Hi Yikes

YikesHereWeGo · 14/05/2012 22:02

I like the sound of this thread, you seem like a fun bunch. Can I join please?
In the interests of 'moving on' from my mc last week, I donated my (never worn) 'Baby On Board' badge to a colleague who announced (on the same day as my mc) that she was 13 weeks preggo. She was delighted with the gift and it did make me feel a bit better that at least the badge was going to a good home, but I do still feel gutted that I'm not in the same boat. Ah well, bleeding seems to be dying down a bit so hopefully I can soon get back in the game (not 'on the game'!) Presumably I need to wait for my 'all clear' scan a week on Thursday first though?

MandaHugNKiss · 14/05/2012 21:28

To coin a phrase marff - today I am pregnant! I really need to stay this way for a while yet... DD so poorly - just taken her temp again and despite two paracetamol AND two ibuprofen at 8.15 it's 39.6. FFS. I'm not even sure at what point I'm gonna need to involve a healthcare professional again (temp-wise, I mean...) she's literally gonna boil at this rate.

Doesn't help she won't bloody listen to me and keeps covering up because she feels 'cold'. Ugh.

onedayatatime73 · 14/05/2012 20:51

Evening all
I have been abroad for a week and as I couldn't afford the roaming charges I had to go cold turkey on mumsnet - v frustrating.

jaffa I spent each day worrying and wondering on your news- it was the first thing I checked on when landing at Gatwick last night. Honestly! Congratulations am so pleased for you.

So so glad to see so many posts with smiley faces - unbelievable. This thread may bring us all together in sadness, but it brings some good luck and support too.

Welcome to the newcomers - do ask as many questions as you want to - there is some great advice here.

mumtum sorry you are still having to wait but glad the date is now sooner. I feel for you that this is so slow and tortuous for you.

mrspear we share the same due date. I say that with such caution on my part - can't bring myself to believe this is actually going to happen this time. I got to 8 weeks last time - so that's my first milestone. Can't decide if I can hold out for a 12 scan, or if will be too desperate for news and pay for a scan. I keep prodding myself for tender signs and convincing myself I feel sick (when I don't). Oh the days really are like dog years here.

I am sure some wise woman on here had found a way to secretly knicker check in public! Is that true? If so please come forward and share your clever secret - I need to know for my own sanity.

Finally- is mrsnesbit around? Have been thinking of you and wondering how you are.

iq keep popping in to see us. It is lovely to hear from you

MarthasHarbour · 14/05/2012 20:49

and mumtum i havent forgotten you - as always i am soothing your brow Smile

MarthasHarbour · 14/05/2012 20:47

mrspear i like your reverse countdown idea - i shall do that Smile

i have been revelling in the fact that i have been feeling nauseous all day, DH is metalling too bless him, everytime i go to the loo he shouts up 'everything ok dear' Confused

boris i smiled at you catching jobsworth out! Grin but well done on speaking to the secretary, she sounds v sensible and i will keep fingers crossed that she can get back to you with a better date

backward i hate FB notifications with a passion, a friend of mine has been posting every fucking day since her 12 week scan 'oo look at pregnant me' 'i am dragging my pregnant belly to the shops' 'pregnant me is going to bed'

pregnant-you can go and shove it you smug git Angry

so yes you can be seething furious on our behalf! the only FB notifications i have ever been happy about is my cousin and her DH as they have been trying for 3 yrs and have just got preggy - now as far as she is concerned i am chuffed to ribbons - but the rest can bugger off!

welcome confused cakey and backward

confused i know what you mean about your NCT friends, i had my MC in March last year and two of my friends from pregnancy yoga got preggy again at the same time, the three of us were so excited together and then bam - at 10 weeks mine left us. I also had to remain thrilled for them both but secretly jealous that they had another year together.

However - one year on and they are driving eachother bonkers - it seems that almost three years of living literally in eachothers pockets has been counterproductive Grin hope that helps!

thanks all of you for all the hand holding - it seems that my Manic Monday is reaching a satisfactory conclusion Grin

Any news of me old mucker manda hope LO is hanging in there and DD is coping ok with the measles

backwardpossom · 14/05/2012 20:35

was very helpfully told to make sure i got a bfn on a test first so that i could trust later tests.

Thanks for this advice, I've ordered some cheapies on ebay :)

ConfusedMumDotCom · 14/05/2012 20:29

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and positive comments re: ewcm.

jaffa thanks for the heads up, DH is not going to know what hits him tonight Wink

boris I have a spare test in the bathroom - will use it tomorrow to double check as there is no way any pregnancy hormones left in my system will be from a new pg - great idea, thanks. I'm sorry, I haven't read the whole thread, so am not sure what your appointment is for, but good luck with getting a better date tomorrow.

WhyAlwaysBoris · 14/05/2012 19:32

Evening everyone!

Welcome to the thread whatcakeydid and confusedmum, I had conflicting advice about when to start trying again, but was very helpfully told to make sure i got a bfn on a test first so that i could trust later tests.

mumtum, glad you got them down till one week- still seems horribly long. I work from home sometimes and found it dreadful just after my MC when not in a good space. I'm thinking of you.

manda, such shit timing on the measles front, :(

mrs pears Congratulations on your pregnancy :) Look at you all official :) Sorry about the lack of early scan. I hope the doc also sorted out the hip or is that too much to hope for in one appointment?!

tas fingers crossed for thursday and friday, i would offer to wait and test with you but DH around thurs not fri and feel i might need him around for hugs when get the test result.

I phoned the hospital about my may appointment being moved to august 31st and spoke to a complete jobsworth who told me the date wasn't a typo and there were no earlier appointments as the consultant will be away in between these times.

I then asked what else i could do, and she said, you could ring every day for cancellations, so i asked how would there be any cancellations if he was away? Looooonnnnng silence down the phone. And then she said, "well, he's not away, away". Confused

In the end I got his secretary's number out of her and eventually managed to speak to her, & she sounded much more sensible. She agreed it was ridiculous wait and said she'd see what she can do and will ring me tomorrow, so fingers crossed.

Haven't time for a bit post, but I conceived this baby with pink tinged cm. Just saying...x

tasmaniandevilchaser · 14/05/2012 17:50

hiya boris I think I can test on Friday, had a horrible weekend fretting about another ectopic, had to give myself a stern talking to! Hope it's good news for you on Thursday.

tasmaniandevilchaser · 14/05/2012 17:49

hi all, glad your manic monday is going ok martha I will have a go on that chair, thanks!

backward hell yeah! You can feel burning, seething jealousy as far as I'm concerned, mixed with happiness, sadness and a touch of self pity"why not meeeeee?"

confusedmum I've heard pink tinged EWCM is very very fertile, I'd get cracking! I had loads after the MMC and DH decided he had some v v important evening social engagements, which involved getting in v late, bastard! Haven't quite forgiven him for that, can you tell??!!

mumtum hope friday scan goes well. the waiting is awful Sad

whatcakeydid · 14/05/2012 17:38

confused thanks for that. I'm not having anymore scans I guess because I had ERPC so can I assume that everything back to normal and just crack on?!

ConfusedMumDotCom · 14/05/2012 17:33

Thanks Backward. I think it absolutely fine to be jealous. I've had 2 Facebook announcements for babies due when mine was.

Also, all of my friends I met through NCT classes are due within a month of my due date. I am very happy for them, but was so looking onward to another years mat leave with them. I feel as if they are moving forward without me and very sad about the loss of a future I had thought I was going to have. Sad

Hopefully, I'll be pregnant with a healthy baby soon, but I think it's ok to be jealous, sad and happy all at the same time. It's just difficult to explain or expect others to understand.

whatcakeydid my consultant advised me to wait 6 weeks, but the sister on the ward said to start trying as soon as I felt ready as my body would know and be most fertile in the next few months so no point wasting an opportunity. She also said that the doctors like you to wait to help dating and also to avoid disappointment from false positives from the hormones remaining in your system. DH and I felt ready to start trying for DC2, so we have. My scan 2 weeks ago confirmed there was nothing let in my womb, so i'm comfortable that the risk of a false positive is low.

whatcakeydid · 14/05/2012 16:48

Hi everyone! I'm new, and tbh not very good at the Internet malarkey so bear with me...
I had ERPC for mmc on 4th may and I was wondering why the nurses recommended to not try for a month (apart from dating the next pregnancy). They said so I could recover emotionally and physically and if i'm ok emotionally then that leaves physically... So could there be a problem with my uterus or cervix or something?
Any advice really appreciated Confused
backward I think it's definitely ok to be jealous!

backwardpossom · 14/05/2012 16:42

Hi confused sorry for your loss. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you - sounds promising though!

Thinking of you mumtum and don't ever apologise for posting - you need to get it out too!

MrsPear got everything crossed that you have a healthy and happy pregnancy!

I read another pregnancy announcement on FB this morning. So 2 cousins and this friend are all due around when I would have been. Balls. I'm allowed to be a wee bit jealous, right? Hmm

ConfusedMumDotCom · 14/05/2012 13:58

Hi ladies, do you mind if I join your thread?

I had a mmc at the beginning of the month. Went to the hospital with spotting on 29 April at 10+1 to be told that my baby had died at 8 weeks. I believe I naturally passed everything by 1 May, but had an EPRC booked for that day and went ahead to make sure.

I have been off work on and off since then (am off today) but feel ready to go back tomorrow. This was my first mc and I'd appreciate your advice.

TMI warning

I haven't had a period yet, but 2 days ago I started to get ewcm, had pain in my right pelvis area and now pink tinged ewcm. Do you think it is likely that I am/have ovulated or maybe just some left over blood? If I base the 30 April as cd1, then it could be possible... I will also need a reality check and try not to get too excited/hopeful that I will get a bfp straight away (DH and I have been SWI since Saturday Blush ).

MrsPear · 14/05/2012 13:13

Oh mumtum please don't apologise for me me me. It is not that. You need to get it out. We are all here.

MumTumWanted · 14/05/2012 13:09

X posts congrats mrs pear everything crossed it will all be just fine for you xxx

MumTumWanted · 14/05/2012 13:08

Hey to all

My scan sadly is not til Friday Sad they said hospital protocol is to wait 2 weeks Confused I explained given that u was sure of my dates and suspecting I would opt for erpc not a natural mc that I didn't think I could mentally deal with another 2 weeks of not knowing so they agreed to just 1 week wait instead. The weekend was a breeze compared to today. Working from home today and tomorrow but that leaves plenty of time for googling hopeful stories and only finding the worse mentalling...... So 4 sleeps to go and my scan is 9.20 Friday morning. Dh has booked the day off as we are both facing up to the fact that nothing wil have changed and a mmc will likely be diagnosed.

That said yesterday painful boobs made another appearance - now gone again today - and today nausea is defo back- it all just feels so cruel I know realistically my body obviously hasn't realised the growth isn't correct so I still have Hcg flowing causing the symptoms.... but If I was feeling grotty cos I was carrying a gorgeous new life I'd almost enjoy knowing that was reassuring weirdo As it is it's just upsetting Hmm ( desperately also trying to not let that tiny piece of hope let me think it's a good sign as it simply can't beSad) dates just don't allow for it to be otherwise. Sorry for the me me

Manda any news yet???? Martha your welcome Hun I'd lice to know all of us get our bfps and successful pregnancys I hope Monday is going ok for you still xxx

All the other ladies ( can't scroll on stupid I phone app) thank u for your thoughts the virtual support is so amazing x

MrsPear · 14/05/2012 13:04

Morning all ... right where is the stat thread, i have been to the doctors this morning and it is official i am pregnant. I am due on the 2nd of January 2013. No early scan for me as chemical pregnancies don't count and i've "only" had two mc. I am going to Kings, London for nuchal scan instead of my local as doctor in her most diplomatic way thinks it is best.

How is mumtum ?

State i have only dtd once (and nothing else) since we found out.

martha we can get through Mondays ... just think you are 4 weeks right; so after today that is 36 more to go. That makes a pregnancy much shorter and much more manageable!

borris tas this will be both your months ... ask martha for her chair!

manda hope daughter is better soon.

jaffa if i haven't said before but congratulations on your healthy pink bundle.

And to the lady who is waiting for an appointment; hope you get a sooner one.

And to the new ladies - sorry for your losses

StateofConfusion · 14/05/2012 12:48

Metalling settled, Dr google said its more than normal and I've had nothing since that one wipe, no pains either, thanks for the replies, sometimes I need a shake and a "get a grip women" --dp is staying away from me until december now though --

we'll get through monday! X

manda your poor dd (and you) hope she is well soon x

Hope it goes ok today mumtum x
