Hi mumtum. I know exactly how you feel as I went through the same as you a couple of months ago. It's awful to wait for the scan as you do have a little but of hope that you will be one of the lucky ones.

I wish I would have said earlier but I don't like to be doom and gloom when there could be a chance but when I was waiting for my confirmation scan I asked to be booked in for erpc the day after scan. My op was already booked in for me so I didn't have to wait like you are doing. Maybe this can help someone else next time.

Re tests: I have had three mcs but had loads of the tests after second mc because it was a late one. I am now waiting for my referral to a rmc so that I can have more tests but all I want to do is try again. I have to wait and I bet the tests come back clear. I am surprised that the two cps don't count towards you being tested can you try asking your gp for a refferal or tests?

Try to look after yourself and take things easy.

MumTumWanted · 19/05/2012 08:29

Thanks to all of you for your lovely messages yesterday I apologise for my short and abrupt ones . I can only say as much as I thought I had prepared myself to hear it was a mmc I didn't realise how big that little but of hope was I still hadSad .

I agree with so many of you I had several large glasses of wine last night and had a small Chinese take away with my favourite prawn dish though it made me feel like a naughty girl rebelling

Still feel devastated and so Angry and Sad that in their words as its only my second proper mc ( they don't count the two cps) there won't be any extra tests done. This seems insane to me as both my 'proper' mc have been identical. Mmc at 9 weeks with foetus stopped developing between 5-6 weeks. And I suppose the two cp have been foetus stopped at 5 weeks too so surely an issue ??? It's making me very cross...

That said dh was an absolute rock yesterday and I will be eternally grateful he insisted on coming as I don't know how I would have coped without him.

Odd conversations we had through the afternoon though but some were so reassuring. He too wants to start ttc ASAP so we are both entirely happy with the decision to go erpc and not wait for natural mc. Waiting till wednesday however is more than difficult as i feel ive now been just waiting for 3 weeks already and patience us sadly not one of my virtues
But the hosp did advise if they put me as an emergency this could false hope as I'd be on the end of a list and if things overran I'd get sent home so actually being booked as a bonafide patient on a list is a better way really. Can't say I'm looking forward to it but can say I now can't wait for the closure and new start it will bring Hmm

do however if i may want to pick your knowledge regarding all the help we can get with conception vitamins manda when u have a min Wink any guidance here would be great hope it's all gone well ........

And anyone got any advice on baby aspirin ? When do I start taking it how long for and where do I get it from ???

Sorry yet again for another meme Blush

Tas maybe a month or two rest from ttc wil be good for you physically and mentally but do lurk Hun we will miss u x

Tiago glad your gush was no cause for concern

Marf how are u hun?

Bonzo congrats defo preggo Smile

Midget thank you for your kind words x

And thank for your support anyone I have not properly name checked it really is a massive comfort

Can someone please buy señora manda a smart phone? Just popping in from Spanish Spain for news.

mumtum so sorry. Here's fast forwarding to wednesday so you can begin the process of moving on. I am all for TTC ad soon as you feel able. That is different for us all.

Best go data roaming will be the death of me. Spanish Spain has been good for me. My spotting has stopped and I am relaxing a bit. Praise be for the Doppler, I may be metalling without it. 17 weeks today but counting down the days till this bean is a viable baby.

laying out some fresh juice, gorgeous strawberries and a big chunk of water melon. Please come join me on my terrace, it's a glorious and sunny morning in Spanish Spain. The sun is good at Distracting from metalling.

Hi mumtum im so sorry for your sad news and I was so hoping your news was going to be better than mine x

So 5 days after hearing my news I'm starting to come out the other side.

As background through the beginning of April I started to get period like pains with no period - at nearly 42 and not trying to not get pg for the last 3 years thought I was going through the 'change' early :) my partner talked me into getting a pg test and we couldnt believe it was positive so we went out and got another!! - I have a 9 yr old daughter from a previous relationship though it took years of trying to have her! To say we was scared was a understatement but was also delighted. Started bleeding at 6+5 weeks and had a scan on 6+6 which was inconclusive Confused. Was told to return in 2 weeks which was Monday - I had lost all :(.

I have started to turn the corner due to a great partner and believe it or not my manager at work - she was the only person that knew!

So the positive out of all this ......... I know I can at least still get pg and OH is up for trying again (lots ~ Blush).

Life can be so cruel and though I have not participated on this page as yet - reading your comments good and bad have helped me through the dark days I have though I am sure there will be more to come!

Thanks to you all xx

kirrinIsland · 18/05/2012 21:16

Phew taigo - glad all is well.

backwardpossom · 18/05/2012 21:10

Agree with everyone, you're pregnant boris

leedy · 18/05/2012 21:02

Greurgh, just had a surprise resurgence of nausea. Funtimes.

Also if things look good at the NT scan, I am BREAKING OUT THE MATERNITY TROUSERS. Sick of having one pair of too-big jeans, but can't bring myself to do the maternotogs until I get past the point when I miscarried last time.

And yes, boris it totally sounds like you are totally up the duff. Totally.

MarthasHarbour · 18/05/2012 20:13

another one hoping the radio silence from manda means she has a LO in her arms Smile

boris the CB digi is definitive - you are pregnant so get onto your consultant/epu/gp or whatever but get onto someone because you are pregnant today Smile

off for a bath and a Ginless tonic Grin had the ILs over today so i am a tad frazzled Confused

MarthasHarbour · 18/05/2012 20:11

just ran on to the computer for the first time today and my heart sank when i saw mumtums message Sad i am so very very sorry

tasmaniandevilchaser · 18/05/2012 18:36

oh mumtum so sorry Sad hope the ERPC goes well and you recover quickly. There's not much anyone can say right now, but I'm thinking of you. I had a very stiff G&T when I got my bad scans, followed by blue cheese, dying hair, large amounts of caffeine etc. Take care of yourself and take lots of time off work if that's right for you. Glad your boss is so good, he sounds great.

manda hope radio silence means it's all under way

boris congrats on your BFP, a line is a line! Mine was a BFN and I'm sure AF is around the corner.

I might take a break from TTC for a month or two. This cycle has been so stressful, constantly convinced it's another ectopic, every twinge is terrifying. Then if it was in the right place I've got to worry about another MMC. What manda said about being pg again not being the sudden cure all made me think 'wtf am I doing?'. I just want to enjoy my life and my lovely DD. I'll be lurking and I'll be back in a month or two. If I do ever get another BFP, I'll need a lot of hand holding and soothing of fevered brow.

MumTumWanted · 18/05/2012 17:41

Thanks so much all of you when no one in rl knows its so nice to know I have all of your support . Hospital phoned back but earliest they can see me for erpc is Wednesday morning so 5 more days waiting and hoping I don't start to mc naturally . Who was that said having the date helped though it meant an end ? I do feel the same xxx

StateofConfusion · 18/05/2012 16:02

So sorry mumtum lots of hug and strength being sent your way x x x

Congrats boris and glad to hear things are ok tiago

Tiago · 18/05/2012 15:59

So sorry Mumtum.

Hospital checked heartbeat and said that there is no sign of any problem with the baby, so all is well here (now my own heartrate has gone down). 24 more weeks of madness to go Confused

WhyAlwaysBoris · 18/05/2012 15:40

kirrinIsland · 18/05/2012 14:03

So sorry mumtum :(

YikesHereWeGo · 18/05/2012 13:56

how are you feeling mumtum?

ConfusedMumDotCom · 18/05/2012 13:42

Oh mumtum I'm so sorry. I found having the ERPC really helped move my grief on. Take very good care of yourself and get signed off work if you can. Thinking of you.

bonzo77 · 18/05/2012 13:19

mumtum what a shame, and having to wait even longer for treatment. When I had the same news I took the opportunity, knowing I was neither pregnant, nor recovering from surgery, nor ttc, to get pissed, eat all the "banned" things and do all the things you're not meant to do like dye your hair (bright pillar box red). I'm not sure if it made me feel better, but it was certainly a distraction.

leedy · 18/05/2012 12:36

Oh mumtum, I'm so sorry.

BlueCrane · 18/05/2012 12:13

mumtum so so sorry...especially after all of the waiting!! They have really put you through the mill to get to that point. When I had to have my erpc last year I did find that it was actually a bit of a relief to be able to see a proper end to all the waiting and start to think about moving forward...especially as my body, like yours, just didn't seem to get the message that it wasn't all going to plan in there. I remember feeling quite cross and Angry with my body for 'keeping me hoping' for so long...since then I have reconciled a bit since it has managed to hold this one in though now wondering whether it will do too good a job at 'holding in' and I'll end up going v overdue. Thinking of you lots!

MumTumWanted · 18/05/2012 11:52

Bad news sadly got to have erpc next week Sad
