Maybe, was so so nearly what we came back down the aisle too! It was a really close call!

in fact listening to them again today I wish we'd chosen that

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 02/05/2012 14:02

Ohh maybe I have crap luck with jeans too - I don't have much in the way of hips, so proportionately I've got a large waist, small hips and skinny thighs? can we say muffintop? Angry I'm hoping Mini-Fluff will widen my hips a bit?? :o :o

:o tock I think you should harass persuade DH into having a naice Summer wedding?? Plenty of time to organise one, yet...

smegs awesome choice in music. totally outing myself Sigur Ros was no.1 in the charts when/where we got married, and it takes me right back

NoMaybeAboutIt · 02/05/2012 14:02

It's lovely Biscuits isn't it. I get all choked up Grin

I walked back as a married lady to 'the arrival of the queen of sheba' no suggestion to m ebeing royalty, honest Wink

Biscuitsandtea · 02/05/2012 13:56

Cartoon - I know we've not really 'met' on here yet (hello, how'd you do and all that jazz). I'm an ancient brooker who now hangs about in the post grad department discussing pooey nappies and sleep habits of an 8 week old.

But, I thought I'd chip in with a bit of wedding chatter. I walked down the aisle to (you might have to skip through an advert to get to it) and came back a married lady to .

Pompous? Me? Not much....... BlushGrin

And Maybe I love love love Pachebel's Canon in D - it is my all time fave piece of classical music. We had a string quartet at our wedding playing before and after and during the register it and we had that played while we were signing the register.

I just found my old maternity jeans. So comfy! Think I wore them for six months after I had DD, fatty that I was Blush

NoMaybeAboutIt · 02/05/2012 13:36

Oh Saprks it still isn't over lovely. I am still brooking.

Fluff I nearly fell over too. And I almost passed out. Ah well, once i was drinking champagne in the car, I was well on the road to recovery Wink

Bean I will PM you too. Just in case.

ScrambledSmegs · 02/05/2012 13:33

Hiya. Solars I'm so sorry you're feeling down. We're here if you want to talk/vent/cry whatever.

Sparks still brooking for you. Don't forget, I had a period. An actual, honest to goodness period. It definitely isn't over yet!

We had Hoppipolla by Sigur Ros for walking down the aisle, and Everywhere by Fleetwood Mac for back out. But again, not v formal, and civil ceremony.

Pork belly. Mmm. My favourite recipe was from the times, but it's behind the paywall now, dammit. Sad

clickingtock · 02/05/2012 13:33

I would be pleased to walk down the aisle to a Benny Hill song if it meant I actually got to walk down the aisle. Grin Blush

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 02/05/2012 13:31

I also tripped over the step up to the alter :o but DSIL artfully edited that bit out of the wedding video :o :o Blush

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 02/05/2012 13:27

I'll message you in a sec tock

I can't remember what I walked down the aisle too, I was too flippin nervous to pay any attention whatsoever, as was DH. I just remember it was played on an organ and went on for flippin ages while we dawdled at the alter - clearly the organ player felt she needed to provide a Quality Service for her £40 :o

clickingtock · 02/05/2012 13:23

Ah feckyheck Sparks - but it ain't over yet til full flow hits. If you look at my pics on MN profile, there is one at the bottom of the page of me and DS - I think this should give you a clue as to who you're looking for on FB. Grin

Solars - you sound under so much pressure, you poor love. You need to give yourself a lot of love not a lot of ultimatums (imposs I know). Tell us about the consultation - that will help I think. A lot of us have been through similar and might be able to take a new angle on it all... Thinking of you - your TTC journey is proving long and v challenging.

Meant to say is is Beth Neilsen Chapman All I Have. I woke up one morning at it was playing and I just knew it was the right song. Not everyones cup of tea I know not sure DH even liked it that much

We walked out to Morecambe and Wise Bring me Sunshine which we both really loved. Our day was rather informal though.

SweetieDoesIt · 02/05/2012 12:45

Cartoon I walked down to aisle to very unusual.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 02/05/2012 12:39

My Sage recipe was also a Nige special. I actually love that man. Especially the way is says 'roesmary'

whimsicalname · 02/05/2012 12:27

cartoonface · 02/05/2012 12:23

totes out of the blue question, im guessing some of you (or all) are married did anyone walk to the aisle to anything but the traditional wedding march. i want something different

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 02/05/2012 12:22

Oh solars :( I hope you feel a bit happier soon, sometimes it helps to get it all out. I'm sure when you have a baby you'll make time, iykwim? So don't worry about that at all.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 02/05/2012 12:13

Oh Solars I hope you are ok lovely. When you feel ready, do come back and talk to us all. And sometimes a good cry is just what you need x

NoMaybeAboutIt · 02/05/2012 12:12

link to my chart for those who would like a looky.

Ooooh, pork bellyWhim. One of my faves. It's really nice if you get a pestle and mortar and bash up a load of herbs or spices with some salt, depending what mood you are in. I like garlic and sage, or a blend of cumin, corriander seed, paprika, mustard and vinegar. Nom. Then I just bung it in a really low oven and let it cook for ages, then whack up the heat to srisp the crackling. Sorry for my very non-precise instructions there!

Sparks what a lovely little hamper you have going there. Wifh my SIL I made her up a little thing with some nice bath stuff and a yankee candle so that when she found a moment to herself she could relax! Oh, and my SIL swore by Lansinoh too
