Imps! You're back! How's the new job? Any exciting news?

Sparkle def go to the food hall. Nom

Beedle that's tough. I second Clicks advice (she always gives the best advice)

How are we all on this miserable morning?

clickingtock · 25/04/2012 08:34

Imps - Lordy it's been quiet without you!!!!! Gis your news asap!!!! Welcome back, woman.

Imps7 · 24/04/2012 21:40

Hello hello helllloooo!! What have I missed what have I missed???

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 24/04/2012 21:27

Oh and the M&S food hall!!

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 24/04/2012 21:22

:o sparkle they do nice homewares though? And I rather like Per Una :)

beedle that's really tough. I think I'd frame it in a positive light if that's possible i.e. we don't think there's anything wrong but it's a stepping stone to our referral; we won't be able to find out if it's me until you JIAJ; even in the unlikely event something's wrong, men's sperm issues are often easy to resolve through a healthier lifestyle etc etc, but we need to know if this is the case so we can address it.......... ?

Evening all, popping in while DH watches footy

Have read through all the days posts, I can not get MN at work so can only post on an evening Sad but I am brooking in spirit from my desk I promise you all.

tock loving the though of your doggie having a BF Grin hope it works out in pups. I bet your DS is a right little charmer, bless him with the dentist.

Beedle hope you manage to talk DH around to provide his sample soon. It takes two to tango and you both need to make sure all is in working order I know you know all this

Scarlett hope all goes well at your appointment, you know where we are if you need any support, also there are other threads where the ladies are going through similar and am sure will be able answer any questions you have. Good luck my dear.

Pip sorry to hear AF has arrived, but that is the back of her now for fx 9 months

Was Olives having her lap & dye today? Hope she is ok, and not too sore.

Smegs glad you managed to get in to see Hot Doc, hmmmm loving the sound of him. Hope he has helped with your ms. How long until your scan?

to everyone else

clickingtock · 24/04/2012 19:24

Whim is getting the blame for the brillo pads. Twas me. Anyway - DS was a huge hit at the dentist's. He loved the chair and he loved showing the dentist his teeth. She's extremely beautiful (a la Solars) and DS fell for her instantly, the tart that he is. He even held the little mirror for her and politely gave it back when she asked. So confident.

Beedle - that sounds very hard. Does he understand that it could be neither - unexplained - or both of you, as well as being just one of you? Perhaps he is v scared of the implications if his SA is poor but if you could show him some info on it - eg lifestyle changes might be quite minor for improvements? Perhaps get him out of your home and take him somewhere lovely and then try to ask him questions about his concerns rather than tell him stuff.... I dunno; it's well hard. I'm astoundingly lucky that my DP is v measured about everything and will sit down and talk. Agree also that talking about what you are going through might help him empathise and be more cooperative. Good luck.

N'night all.

TheLittleFriend · 24/04/2012 19:20

Hi everyone

solars that sounds like good advice for beedle

Jealous of scrambled & fluffy's hottie spots! Grin

Loving Otis pics maybe. Does he fall over when you drive round a corner though? Smile

Wow, that is a quick appointment scarlet. I hope it all goes well for you x

PipIsOutNow · 24/04/2012 19:06

thanks everyone...I'm actually feeling quite positive, and loving that I'm 1 day preggers!!! yay go me!!! haha!!! so....how do the OPK's work? And when do I start to think about using them? And what about SWI? When is best to start that/ xxx

Solars · 24/04/2012 18:16

Beedle if you told him about how scared you are about the whole thing and the tests you have to go for, focusing on your feelings, do you think that may help?

smegs ShockGrin at your hot GP, and I'm very pleased that you're feeling better/worse (however you want to look at it)

whims brillo pads? I'm confused

pip sorry about AF, hope you have better luck this month

Have we heard from imps about her new job?

Well I tried to persuade nag DP about getting the SA done but he's really feeling the pressure :( He's convinced that I think its all his fault I'm not pregnant. I've tried to explain that there's a 50% chance the problem is with me, but I don't think its getting through to him. And here they won't even do a blood test on me till he's delivered his sample. I'm not going to mention it again for a few weeks but I'm a bit scared that if we don't book the SA within a certain time they'll cancel our referral :( Anyone got any brilliant ideas how I deal with this??

But looking on the brightside I'm sitting in the sunshine outside my hotel room and its lovely - nicely sheltered from the wind or I'd be a bit cold :o

Solars · 24/04/2012 17:05

Glad you feel better Smeg and phwoaaar to the hot doc!

Sorry about AF Pip

What a cutie Otis is growing up to be Maybe

I have had such a manic day trying to chase people only to realise it was all futile as patient gave me misleading details, feel like I've wasted the day grrrrrr!

Off to make chocolate hazelnut cookies to cheer myself up now....

Oh Pip, I'm sorry. I agree though, it will be the last time she visits for a while.

Smegs glad to hear you are feeling a bit better, but phwoar to fitty GP Grin

Fluff I am amazed you didn't crash into something! I love Robert DJ. Nom.

Is it home time yet? I'm fed up of this place. Roll on October Grin

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 24/04/2012 14:56

:( pip

:o smegs!
This morning I was in Tesco car park and the guy driving the car behind me looked like a cross between Adrien Brody and Robert Downey Jr, and once I'd stopped gawping my first thought was that I must tell the brookers Blush :o

ScrambledSmegs · 24/04/2012 14:51

Oh, Pip I'm sorry. Take heart though, this will be the last time she visits for a good long while!

Thanks stacks, I don't think I need any excuse to see Hot Doc again. If he takes my blood pressure again I'll be in trouble, he commented today on my face being a bit red! I muttered something about walking fast up the hill lies all lies. I'm alright on the nausea front today though, lets see if I can continue to manage it like this.

PipIsOutNow · 24/04/2012 14:46

Evil AF has arrived. Bitch!!!!

Stacks · 24/04/2012 13:39

Hey everyone. Just a random comment to smegs - when I was getting chemo I had anti-nausea drugs, and they did make the nausea better. I never did get sick with it, just felt awful, and the drugs did help. I think it's a bit like travel sick pills, part of what they do it stop you hyper-salivating which can be part of what makes you feel like you're going to be sick.

I don't actually know much about it all though, but if it does get bad, go see the hot doc and talk to him. He can maybe reassure you about how they work, and won't just send you home with a prescription. You'll also get to see him again Wink

ScrambledSmegs · 24/04/2012 13:23

Brillo pads? What does your DS need brillo pads for, clickingtock?

Yes, a lot better today thanks. Sleep really helps. Yesterday was bad, I finally fell out of bed at 3pm, and eating supper took me 2 hours. Today I'm a lot more cheerful, eating and drinking regularly.

Hot GP also said that if I ever find that the ms is unmanageable I can come back and get a prescription for some drugs to help. I don't really want to as I hear that they make the nausea worse while suppressing vomiting, and as it's the nausea that keeps me awake I really don't want that!

clickingtock · 24/04/2012 13:08

Bartlet - feeling it for you. The towel is always just in reach, isn't it? Try not to put yourself under too much pressure. Bloomin impossible I know.

I like your juvenile friends too Smegs. Are you feeling a bit better?

Sparks - love the call to arms!

Hugs to all.

DS has first trip to dentist today. Better get the brillo pads out first.

xxx

Afternoon everyone. Will try and namecheck everyone but please forgive me if I miss you out, it's not on purpose!

Geek sorry to hear about the sex-fail. If it makes you feel any better, we've all been there at some point or another. I can only guess at how difficult it is for you, with all the added pressures of ttc for an extended time and your DP's medical problems. Hopefully you can work something out together.

Hello and welcome to Purple and Spectra

Hi BestLaidPlans, have we met? If not, nice to see you here and positive rat-smacking vibes are heading your way!

whims I hope you got a nice hot Brew this morning. Always makes the world look a bit better, doesn't it?

Maybe Shock well who'da thunk it?! Just relax and have lots of sex, eh? Clearly she has a glittering career as a fertility guru ahead of her. Daft mare (sorry, I know she's your cousin, but that really deserves derision!). Love the new pics of Otis, he looks so snuggly!

Bartlet I'm with you on the scan pics. I don't understand it either. Actually, one of my friends for whom nothing is TMI did put her first scan pic up years ago, and didn't quite get the reaction she was expecting. I think the most sensible response was 'Is it one of those seeing eye pics? I can see a chicken'! The others were far ruder, I've never been so glad to have a bunch of mates with a collective juvenile sense of humour! She didn't get the hint though, and after a blow-by-blow account of her daughter's potty-training I hid her feed

bean/tock FX for Peggy and her BF, here's hoping for a litter of gorgeous Cairnzers.

at Sweetie, Solars and cakes

Aargh, I've run out of brainspace. Erm... well, I'm feeling a lot better today. Still nauseous but manageable. Went to the GP and got my thrush treatment, and he also checked out my blood pressure and weight. He's a new doctor, and totally freaking gorgeous. I swear I'm getting hot flashes just thinking about him Blush
