Asseyez-vous mes amies and ready yourselves for the BESH Eurovision contest ever. Get ready with your Central European fashion, transvestites and inability to sing anything in tune. Get ready to rip your skirts off and leave your other halves no option but to make their mind up (do you see what I did there?) to get down to some swi and do your best not to think of Terry Wogan at any point in the proceedings. Finally, get ready to yell ?nul points? at the evil Droid should it dare to make an appearance.

Newbies, approach in high euro-camp mode, find and complete the BESHtionnaire to let us judge whether you are cynical and menkul enough to join us.

Thanks. I am meant to be going to a 1940's Hangar Ball tonight and I am bloody well determined to go. Even if all I can do is sit there and watch everything I want to go!

blonderthanred · 08/05/2012 13:21

Dot, I had the same at 8&11wks & all fine. It might be the long walk has just irritated something or dislodged some old blood. Hang on in there! xx

FriendofDorothy · 08/05/2012 13:17

Thanks. I am sure it will be fine... it's just majorly anxiety provoking!

CaveMum · 08/05/2012 13:08

Definite yay for the house!

If it's any consolation Dor, my best friend had bleeding at 7 weeks and all is well, she's coming up to 18 weeks already!

Northey · 08/05/2012 12:15

Yay for the house! And for the scan today, which is v good news.

FriendofDorothy · 08/05/2012 11:49

I am 8 weeks. Have seen the GP and he is going to get me a scan appointment today. I am trying not to panic but it's hard.

In other news. Looks like we have got that house :)

Northey · 08/05/2012 11:43

"not ideal" is an understatement, cavey! But in your position I would definitely keep trying regardless, I think.

It's really hard to advise military families, as it is such a specific and separate world in situations like this, and all sorts of variables which non-military types just won't know about. Is there a forum where you could maybe chat to people who will appreciate the situation more fully, with all it's limitations and possibilities?

Northey · 08/05/2012 11:38

Keep calm dor and don't stress your body with panicking. You know what you have to do - just rest and breathe and monitor for colour and heaviness and any accompanying pain.

How many weeks are you? If they scanned you would there be anything to see yet? If so, could you call GP or EPU and ask for a scan?

CaveMum · 08/05/2012 10:58

Dor try not to panic. From what I understand some bleeding is perfectly normal. Perhaps check in with the PESH and if you're still concerned call your Dr?

Norf, my gut instinct is to say don't go, but I'd probably think that baybee or no baybee! If we put off ttc it'll be sod's law that I still don't get diffed. At the moment I'm leaning towards him not going, but I'd he does I think I still want to keep trying. Not ideal though is it?

FriendofDorothy · 08/05/2012 10:43

Uh oh. Small amount of bleeding today. I am scared Sad

Northey · 08/05/2012 10:32

Oh God, what a shit situation. Do you have a gut feeling about what you want to do, or are you genuinely lost?

CaveMum · 08/05/2012 08:24

Really don't know at the moment. We're going to have a long chat about it tonight. HWHNN has said he'll do whatever I want him too, which makes me feel guilty for wanting him to stay.

AAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 08/05/2012 08:07

< tries to work out the logistics and head starts spinning> it would be rubbish if you were diffed while is away too since he'd miss scans etc too wouldn't it? So are you contemplating not ttc til 3 months before he goes?

CaveMum · 08/05/2012 07:58

It sucks the big one Faithy Sad

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 08/05/2012 07:52

Oh Cavey, what a tough decision :(

CaveMum · 08/05/2012 07:49

I should explain that he can say no to the posting for now, but that will only out it off for a year or so, and what if we're still in the same position then as we are now? He won't be able to postpone again.

CaveMum · 08/05/2012 07:45

Hello all, apologies for the absence [hands over a note from my mum]

Impressive waking Dor! How are you feeling today?

We've had a busy weekend and, if I'm honest, I've been having a bit of a wobble this weekend. Lots of tears again yesterday. It was mostly triggered by HWHNN's announcement that he may have to go to Afghanistan for 6 months in January. It's by no means certain at the moment, but it does mean that we have to make a decision about carrying on TTC and risking him being overseas for the birth, or stop trying for a few months and try to time it so that he'll be back in time. Really don't know what to do at the moment Sad

FriendofDorothy · 07/05/2012 15:37

We finished a little while ago. Took us about 5 hours plus lots of wee stops and a stop for lunch. It was absolutely fine until we got to about 15km. My hips then started hurting unbelievably, my aunt seems to think that it might be the increasing amount of oestrogen due to the pregnancy.

I am sat at home on the sofa and I am not sure I can walk! Ouch!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 07/05/2012 14:41

Today we got an open top bus to the next village. DNephew was super excited all the way, even saying 'Hello sheep, we're on a bus!' Don't worry norf, very lazy day today. Spending the afternoon on the pub - a pub which sells bats of beer, three third pints in a bat with holes in! The fellas are in their element, DNephew is asleep on a bench! Not an unpleasant way to spend a wet bank holiday!
hils I'm glad you have company today, even if he isn't good for much! The cycling sounds very virtuous. I'm contemplating cycling to work myself in the future. Just contemplating mind!
Have you finished yet dor?!

blonderthanred · 07/05/2012 12:09

Crikey dor. No idea how you're managing that. I've been asleep for the last 12 weeks.

sinkingflameofhilarity · 07/05/2012 12:03

Hiya.

Hope dors walk is going well- I'm slightly in awe, given I'm sat on the sofa nursing my third cup of tea...

GHJ is off today, but after getting home at 1am (after an 8pm "finish"- hollow laugh) he's only good for lounging today!

Coast sounds lovely norf. Steaming arguement less so. Surely morning sechs an option?

faife, go on, treat yourself. I've spending lots atm on running and cycling stuff. I've started cycling to work, and it works out at me cycling 60miles + each week- I think that's quite impressive and so deserve nice things. I think your walking fits the bill as well.

I have got a bit of a sore bum though. I have no intention of buying padded shorts though. Grim.

Northey · 07/05/2012 11:39

Morning all. Am on the coast with the crappest signal evah! Gorgeous sunny weather yesterday, and we had a fabulous loving snuggly giggly time, and I was quite looking forward to the evening's sechs, until we blew it all with a pointless and agonising and miserable argument, which ended in tears and woe and then reconciliation an a takeaway curry at 10.30pm. At which point we were too exhausted and bloated to do anything remotely resembling sex. Very blustery weather today though, so cobwebs thoroughly blown away :)

faif I am so impressed with your activity after all your illness. Hopefully it will all help with the convalescence, but be careful to get lots of rest as well.

And yours, dor. Especially in your condition.

Are you still bored and friendless today, hils?

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 07/05/2012 08:35

Good luck with your walk dor! I hope it's fun :)
I'm still in bed, can't get moving. After that relatively short walk I'm really sore. I think I need new walking boots! Mind are over 10 years old and quite stiff, leave my calves aching. Think MSB and I might treat ourselves! Rock n roll eh?!

FriendofDorothy · 07/05/2012 07:55

Morning BESHes. I am up bright and early to take part in a 20km walk with my Mum, sistr and aunt. Should be fun.

I slept terribly though. Thinking about this house - I really need to know the decision on whether we have it or not!
