Asseyez-vous mes amies and ready yourselves for the BESH Eurovision contest ever. Get ready with your Central European fashion, transvestites and inability to sing anything in tune. Get ready to rip your skirts off and leave your other halves no option but to make their mind up (do you see what I did there?) to get down to some swi and do your best not to think of Terry Wogan at any point in the proceedings. Finally, get ready to yell ?nul points? at the evil Droid should it dare to make an appearance.

Newbies, approach in high euro-camp mode, find and complete the BESHtionnaire to let us judge whether you are cynical and menkul enough to join us.

Good plan dor
Although they say resting doesn't make any difference apparently, it makes a big difference to your mental state and taking it easy is exactly the right thing to do. Sorry to hear you have had more bleeding - it is a total headfuck but at least you have had a good scan so you know that it is most probably nothing sinister. There's nothing wrong with calling the docs again even though you saw them yesterday if you think you need professional reassurance.

FriendofDorothy · 10/05/2012 09:04

Well I had a bit more blood yesterday. It wasn't bright red blood like the day before, more like darker red mixed with mucus so I am hoping it is 'leftover' blood from the day before.

I have decided to take a couple of days off sick though and just take it easy. Sit on the sofa and sew. I am desperate to not lose this baby.

Northey · 09/05/2012 20:55

Nice to see you again, polecatferret and great to hear your chap is ein spunksuccess.

Glad hols were good, euro. Did you hold your own against the gleaming MIL?

ShredniVashtar · 09/05/2012 18:38

Bonjour all! Sorry, have been quiet for aaa ages due to a combination of long work hours followed by seeing friends and a visit from the in laws. Glad to hear about scans and holidays, and sympathising with cavey .

My news is that the droid is here (grrr) and oh's white goods results are in. Apparently he is 'all normal'. Humpf. Looks like it's just me and my crap womble / lack of a tube that's the problem then! Glad in a way as it adds another piece to the puzzle.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 09/05/2012 18:17

norf delighted to hear there's follicles ready to pop. Sounds like the drugs are doing their job?!
cavey how difficult for you :( I know my friend in t'army says while going away is tough it's what he's trained to do so he wants to go! But tricky when ttc...
euro glad to hear you had a tres bonne time en France. Douze points for consuming Wine and cheese. Was the MIL as sleek as always?

CaveMum · 09/05/2012 17:04

He's not decided for definite if he will go or not, but we're definitely going to keep at it in the meantime. I'm hoping for a sods law diffing!

So what does tha mean, cave? That he goes this year but you keep trying right up until he goes?

CaveMum · 09/05/2012 16:21

Hurrah for follicles Norf

[waves pompoms & chants "Give me an F. Give me an O. Give me a double L. Give me an ICLES. Yay! Grow Follicles!"]

HWHNN and I had a bit of a chat last night and said he'd quite like to go to Afghan, but not at the expense of us not getting a baybee. He thinks we should keep on trying and just deal with whatever happens.

FriendofDorothy · 09/05/2012 16:06

We have another day off today as it is Liberation Day.

I went for a short wander into town with The Mister and had a nice lunch and watches the cavalcade. I have completed my afternoon with a nap on the sofa. Lovely!

Northey · 09/05/2012 16:02

My follicles kill fred.

Northey · 09/05/2012 11:41

Two follicles on right ovary looking on track to pop this weekend, but they want to rescan on Friday to make sure.

The sonographer didn't seem to have read my cheesy "theatrical starting at surprise baybee in uterus" script.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 09/05/2012 10:27

Oh and bugs if you're just about to head off, have a luffly holiday! Enjoy the all inclusive!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 09/05/2012 10:16

Sounds wonderful dor and very pleased to hear that tehe bleeding gas stopped. I've been invited to a ball in June - my friend is in the army and it's a 1930s themed ball :) I'm really looking forward to it!
Today we're off up a hill where we scattered my Mum. Only she would request to be at the top of a massive hill Hmm

Northey · 09/05/2012 09:30

God that sounds fabulous. Envy!

FriendofDorothy · 09/05/2012 09:21

The Hangar Ball is run by Specsavers in Guernsey. We also have a bank holiday today as 9 May is Liberation Day which celebrates the liberation of the island from the occupying German forces.

The Hangar Ball is a 1940's themed event to celebrate and it was wonderful. I am so glad I went out :) No more bleeding today. Thank goodness!

Northey · 09/05/2012 09:05

Morning, contestants and judges. On way for tracking scan now, hoping to see some massive and ready-to-pop follicles. And not at all secretly hoping again for the nurse to do a double take at my uterus and ask me when I last POASed.

Mightily impressed with your ball-going activities, dor. Is a hangar ball a particular thing? Or a ball in an aircraft hangar?

FriendofDorothy · 09/05/2012 00:02

Thanks for all your support ladies, I can't tell you how much it means.

I did go to the Hangar Ball in the end and it was absolutely brilliant! So much to see and do whilst sitting at the table eating and drinking. It definitely took my mind off things for a bit anyway.

KatAndKit · 08/05/2012 19:38

Oh thank goodness dor am so pleased that you have seen a healthy baby on the scan. blonde is right, a successful 8 week scan generally means that the pregnancy is viable and there is at least a 95% chance that it will continue to term. And there is nothing like seeing your baybee on that screen for the very first time :)

Northey · 08/05/2012 19:33

Phew for good scan, dor. Hopefully that will be the only scare you ever have, and the rest of your pregnancy will be peacefully straightforward.

blonderthanred · 08/05/2012 19:16

Very very glad to hear you saw the baby Dor. Put your feet up and have a cup of decaff while you process it all.

My doc said a successful 8 week scan was the best possible indicator that the pregnancy would be successful, so you've got a great chance.

CaveMum · 08/05/2012 17:47

Oh, Dor! What mixed emotions you must be going through right now.

[Hugs Dor and for good measure tweaks nipples, just to keep it all BESH-like y'understand]

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 08/05/2012 17:08

Oh dor what a day! Sorry to hear about possible loss :(
Really pleased to hear there's a bean still in place :)

FriendofDorothy · 08/05/2012 17:04

I had lots of red bleeding. Scan showed baby still in place. Possibly was a twin pregnancy and I lost one. I am all cried out with relief!

KatAndKit · 08/05/2012 16:08

dor I had more bleeding when I was diffed with Max than I did in the two pregnancies I miscarried. It was generally just spotting and if it isn't accompanied by cramps then there is a very good chance it's nothing to worry about. If you have recently been sechsing then it might just be cervical irritation.

Good luck with your scan, I'll be checking in later hoping to read good news from you.
