Asseyez-vous mes amies and ready yourselves for the BESH Eurovision contest ever. Get ready with your Central European fashion, transvestites and inability to sing anything in tune. Get ready to rip your skirts off and leave your other halves no option but to make their mind up (do you see what I did there?) to get down to some swi and do your best not to think of Terry Wogan at any point in the proceedings. Finally, get ready to yell ?nul points? at the evil Droid should it dare to make an appearance.

Newbies, approach in high euro-camp mode, find and complete the BESHtionnaire to let us judge whether you are cynical and menkul enough to join us.

All very good points. I had some lovely unpasturised cheese for lunch from our local farmers' market.

Also, I have spent most of today reading the second book in the Huger Games trilogy (bought late last night and I'm currently 3/4 of the way through). I wouldn't be able to do that with some demanding sprog hanging off me.

I'll add another one: holidaying how you want. We just headed into the jungles of Belize. We wouldn't have been able to do that with a baby in tow!

Yes yes to undercarriage remaining intact. I have a total mental block about the realities of giving birth. Surely I'll just go from being all glowing and rounded to having an adorable baybee in my arms, yes?

Here's another: lie ins.

sinkingflameofhilarity · 14/04/2012 20:09

Ooooh ooooh,

Knowing that, for a least the next 9-10months, my undercarriage will remain intact.

(several friends have lost in fights with forceps)

sinkingflameofhilarity · 14/04/2012 20:07

Wine, wine, more wine and then some more. Wine

Not have to stress about finding a dress for the impending wedding season to accommodate my baby gut.

Not having to spend any time in mothercare or mamas and papas.

I can taken the stairs and don't have to wait for s-l-o-w lifts (more of a baybee thing, but still..)

Pâté, sea food and steak tartar.

The ability to be fun on nights out. (bitchy, but just a liiiitle true)

I'm on a roll..

ShredniVashtar · 14/04/2012 19:31

That is a tough thing to deal with, Cavey. This ttc lark is fecking awful sometimes, isn't it? And I've had nothing like the travails you all have.

I periodically cheer myself by thinking of all the things I can do while I'm not diffed. Want to join me? First one is: eat all the blue cheese I like.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 14/04/2012 19:13

That's certainly an FUFC baybee cavey but don't blame yourself for feeli stressed whilst ttc. It's a vicious cycle for us all. I really want to be encouraging but feel like everything I put could make it worse But we all luff you cavey. That much is true
On a lighter note, has anyone else seen bugs profile pic in t'other place? She's looking super foxy!

Northey · 14/04/2012 19:02

Oh God, cavey, I'm so sorry. What awful timing as well, with you already feeling low.

CaveMum · 14/04/2012 18:53

Thanks, yes there have been some tears but I am very happy for her. She's been trying almost as long as we have, though she's 5 years older than me. She also lost her mum to cancer last year too Sad

She said they'd stopped "trying" because she was waiting for a referral to the infertility clinic to come through and hey presto!

I know I'm putting a lot of pressure in myself and I can be my own worst enemy at times, but I guess it is that old cliche again of "relax" Hmm

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 14/04/2012 18:47

:( how nice for her but how tough for you. Hope you're ok-ish.
Well I've been out MSB practically booted me out the door I walked to the shops quietly crying. Got over myself then burst into tears in Poundstretcher oh the shame when I realised how much we've still got to replace. I really need to snap out of this. Can't even blame pms since I'm mid cycle.

FriendofDorothy · 14/04/2012 18:33

Aw Cavey that's so hard for you though. ((hugs))

I think it must be horrible being on either side of the situation.

CaveMum · 14/04/2012 18:29

Well best friend has been and gone and guess what, she's pregnant Grin

She's 14 weeks and said she's been so scared of telling me. We both cried, of course, butbim so happy for her.

CaveMum · 14/04/2012 15:50

My best friend is coming over later for a cuppa and a chat. She's struggling with TTC too, so she'll be sympathetic to how I'm feeling.

I just wish I'd bloody ovulate!

Northey · 14/04/2012 15:40

Yes. Every convalescent needs pyjamas. Get them.

Hope you feel better soon, cavey. What have you planned for the rest of the day?

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 14/04/2012 15:27

My in-laws are in Macc sinky, I joke it always starts raining as we come over the Cat and Fiddle! Good effort on the run. Your trainers will be fine, just bung em in th easing machine!
Hmm I've found some lush jammies in Tesco, shall I buy them? I have some in purple but these are pink and the style is sooooo soft. Want, want, want! this is one top option, it has a choice of this vest or grey and bottoms in the pattern or grey. It also has a t-shirt style top. I'm very tempted to buy two tops and one bottoms. I have a Next gift card for £22 but can't find anything I really like in there.

CaveMum · 14/04/2012 15:24

Thanks all [sniff] I just have to ride out the storm. It is, of course, mostly TTC related though a few other things have not helped.

I'm on the sofa with HWHNN, who is asleep, watching the Grand National coverage.

sinkingflameofhilarity · 14/04/2012 15:10

Ooh. Xpost. Have a surreptitious huggy squeeze cave. I had a bit of a cry last night after seeing preggers friends.

And faith- we've already figured out we're pretty close in rl I think- it's hailing/raining in manc as well. Sigh. And of course blowing a gale making umbrellas less useful and more of a threat to sight.

sinkingflameofhilarity · 14/04/2012 15:06

How far? I ran about 2-3miles ish to a British mil fitness class and back. My legs are killing, but think that's the class, not the running.

I've decided I need some new trail trainers though because mine are muddy and smell, but am trying to be frugal. Must resist.

Dor, if when I get diffed I'll be testing daily- no shame in that!

Northey · 14/04/2012 14:56

cavey, I so sympathise with those hideous dips. Was it a ttc related thing, or other stuff too? How do you normally manage to get yourself out?

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 14/04/2012 14:55
Northey · 14/04/2012 14:53

From time to time, faith, but I suppose I thought that when we came to try properly then things might be different. And you know what it's like in a long term relationship - you go through periods of scarcely shagging at all, so one of those kind of took up a year and so on. Oh God I am a massive thick.

Hurrah for iPhone upgrade!

CaveMum · 14/04/2012 14:52

Forgot to add earlier my "whoop whoop" for the arrival of Kat's kitten (see what I did there!)

Having a teary time at the moment. Cried in bed last night (instead of sechsing Blush) and again this morning. I go through what I call "black cloud" days from time to time, but I seem to be having a particularly bad one thus time Sad

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 14/04/2012 14:46

Glad to hear it dor! You've seemed a tad under the weathery from your updates on t'otherplace though? Mega tired and sniffly? That's all my sister had. Only had morning sickness one day! I'm sure it doesn't help the menkul but I guess it's relatively early days for actually getting symptoms.

FriendofDorothy · 14/04/2012 14:37

Yep still lurking and still diffed (confirmed by another test today - Test 7 and counting). No signs of any symptoms of pregnancy though. I feel as normal as I usually do!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 14/04/2012 13:48

Did you ever kind of wonder norf? When people said ooh we didn't use a condom once and I'm diffed? Did you think Hmm we don't and I don't get diffed! Or did it simply not cross your mind?
Yes well done sinkers. How far did you go? I want to go into town at some point but worry about my energy levels and also if I'm seen in town when I'm technically off sick. I want an iPhone! And I can upgrade now....patience is a virtue.
I had a nice morning with my friend for brunch. He's been ill too so we shared tales of woe! MSB came home from work just after he left (my friend, not MSB) with a migraine so he's sleeping it off while I watch tv. At least I got man to link his phone to the iPad so I can go shopping while he does :)
Oh btw newbies - two important none ttc facts about me - my house caught fire before Christmas and we in the midst of repairs. Also I spent a week in hospital recently - disharged two weeks ago) with ?kidney stones/?kidney infection. To answer your question norf, I'm certainly on the mend but I stuck have no little energy, I can't imagine I'll run again for a good few weeks :(

Northey · 14/04/2012 13:23

Not insensitive at all! Also, I'm an attention -loving whore, so boggle away at my long years of fruitless sechsing and I shall lap it up. But it doesn't feel like proper trying for 7 years (which would be ein grosse headfuck). It's just we never really used contraception at all, but because we weren't TRYING, I didn't really notice. It's only in the past few years since we decided we wanted to have a baby that I actually noticed that I never menstruate and so on, and turned into an anxious gusset-watcher.

V well done on run, sinkster. I wish I could stop talking about starting running again and actually dig out my probably decayed by now running shoes and do it.

How are you phee? Any closer to being able to strap your own shoes back on and resume training?
