Asseyez-vous mes amies and ready yourselves for the BESH Eurovision contest ever. Get ready with your Central European fashion, transvestites and inability to sing anything in tune. Get ready to rip your skirts off and leave your other halves no option but to make their mind up (do you see what I did there?) to get down to some swi and do your best not to think of Terry Wogan at any point in the proceedings. Finally, get ready to yell ?nul points? at the evil Droid should it dare to make an appearance.

Newbies, approach in high euro-camp mode, find and complete the BESHtionnaire to let us judge whether you are cynical and menkul enough to join us.

Good sechsing cavey, let's hope you lay tomorrow so the timing is right. Definitely call the clinic - it's a waste of everyone's time to do blood tests when you're confident you've not ovulated yet!
Shred good effort in the garden. Definitely worth the effort/reward isn't it? You deserve the chocolate.
Well before I got ill I was reading Winter Solstice so I should try to finish that first!
I'm cd11 and should ov soon. Not easy with not being well but will have a crack at this month!

sinkingflameofhilarity · 15/04/2012 19:56

Excellent seching efforts cavey. My clinic were fine when I just turned up for my day 21 bloods on day 28. Also, I don't get monitored on each cycle, but also they don't mind when I just ring and ask for an extra blood (quite rightly, give others seem to get monthly uss and bloods etc)

ShredniVashtar · 15/04/2012 19:54

Glad you've had a tears free day, Cave, and good work with the shagging! Am on CD 6 here so commencing operation sechs fest soon.

Today I am feeling quite proud of doing some gardening and justified in eating remaining Easter chocolate while watching Homeland.

Do you have any good books lined up, Faith?

CaveMum · 15/04/2012 19:41

Evening BESH, how are we all this evening?

Today I consider progress - no tears!

In EggWatch news, CBFM has now downgraded me to 1 bar again, but I'm sure the second line on the cheapy OPK was darker today, compared to yesterday's. However we have diligently done the sechs and HWHNN has decided he will stay to it and head back early tomorrow morning. That means an early session tomorrow!

Going to phone the clinic again tomorrow to find out what I should do re blood tests. Technically I should be having another one tomorrow, but again I don't see much point when I know I haven't ovulated. Don't want to piss them off though!

eurochick · 15/04/2012 19:16

Pone that does not bode well for me - I am capable of doing that kind of falling asleep now!

OP posts:
HaveALittleFaithBaby · 15/04/2012 18:04

er I don't know meself
That's luffly pone about little foal although sympathies for the lack of sleep. You do sound like a busy bee! Sounds like things are generally quite good though.
I think I need to watch less day time tv this week and read more. Cunning plan.

ShredniVashtar · 15/04/2012 17:41

Hey, a mention from old-time BESH! < proud>

What is all this about carrying cakes? I've made some heavy fruit cakes in my time but I dont think any of them would, y'know, cause a nasty strain [ confused]. Pliz to explain?

AlpinePony · 15/04/2012 17:09

I've seen every episode of Thomas though. :(

AlpinePony · 15/04/2012 17:08

Hellooooooz, life is good - I'm all in a spin trying to fit it all in. Trying to set up new business, got a new riding instructor, went skiing with browncups on Friday, going to the seaside this week viz see boys. Bizzee! The foal is a cutie-pie waging a one-baybee war upon sleep and frankly he's kicking its arse.

euro is right, read books whilst you have the chance, watch DVD's. In the last month I've not even completed a Marion keyes, fell asleep for the last 20 minutes of The Wire (second series), fallen asleep during the girl who kicked the hornet's nest and the first episode of the killing.

eurochick · 15/04/2012 16:21

The Die Hard films are great. We went to the cinema yesterday and saw The Cabin in the Woods, which was an interesting twist on the genre. Quite enjoyable. Over the weekend I have read 2/3 of the Hunger Games trilogy (reading the last one now) so we might go to see that next weekend. I'm really enjoying it.

Pone how's life?

I finally have my LH surge. So that should mean we go in tomorrow to be farmyard aminals have our IUI. KFZK is not looking forward to his part - so far he has managed to produce his SA samples at home so tomorrow will be his first time of having to produce the goods in a clinical setting. We have been joking that he should write "Plz deal" on the label...

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 15/04/2012 15:47

pone! Long time no see! How's the foal?!
I really didn't luff Transformers though actually it wasn't quite as bad as I remembered and MSB insists it's the worst of the three which implies he'll make me watch the other two! Yup Coyote Ugly is awful but I feel it falls into the cheesy chick flick genre that I'm entitled to watch since my brain is turning to mush. Also Adam Garcia gets shirtless in it and he is hot!
ashamed to confess I've never seen the Rocky films but it's on our list of things to watch. I'd never seen the Die Hard quadrilogy which MSB soon corrected! I actually didn't expect to enjoy them but I luffed them!

sinkingflameofhilarity · 15/04/2012 15:33

Humm, we could have a stonking BESH film punch up debate.

Transformers and coyote ugly both trash (but not unpleasantly brain numbing).

I raise you both Rocky I through IV. And Rocky Balboa.

And if that doesn't float your boat, Kickass...

AlpinePony · 15/04/2012 15:23

I'm sorry faith but I can't let this go - you slate Transformers (which is great aside shia and Megan), yet you'll voluntarily watch coyote ugly, possibly the worst film ever made? Egads!

PS shred welcome and fear not, you can eat blue cheese. You're just not allowed to carry cakes.

sinkingflameofhilarity · 15/04/2012 15:23

I think you might be over thinking that film faithy..

I've just picked up ghj from the airport, and am now watching reruns of man v food. Quality tv.

Toying with the idea of going out for some food later. May have to, cupboards as bear as mother Hubbard. slovenly wife

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 15/04/2012 15:16

I think lulls just happen sometimes! What you up to flamey?
I'm watching Coyote Ugly. The cynical part of me wonders how on earth anyone gets served if they're always dancing on the bar?!

sinkingflameofhilarity · 15/04/2012 15:12

Phew. Thought I'd broken fred Sad

V quiet.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 15/04/2012 14:43

Quiet in here today!
I've had a super lazy morning. Somehow we ended up staying up quite late watching Transformers which I didn't think was good the first time! and I woke today feeling like crap with a bad head. I'm fed up of feeling ill. I'm sure you're fed up of hearing about it!
MSB has gone off on a cycle ride, despite the variable weather, which is good cos it'll blow off some steam.

sinkingflameofhilarity · 15/04/2012 09:33

God morgen BESH.

My pill usage in the 12-18 months pre 'TTC' was pitiful. Take a week. Miss a few. I'd often have a pill free month rather than week. Can't imagine any effective contraception other than my shitty ovaries happening around then. But that would have me at 4 yrs TTC. And that's not something I can deal with..

Bit tired this morning after staying up to watch rocky IV. which i have on DVD

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 14/04/2012 23:07

Yes progesterone only pill. Combined wasn't an option because I get migraines.
I get what you mean northey. If you'd officially been ttc, you'd have recognised and raised the problem sooner yes? Whereas while I came off the pill to try for a baybee, not all the cycles really count since some were so fraught we didn't actually dtd much at all. Lack of frequency was a cause of rows. I did Grin when our GP asked how long we'd been actively ttc and explained people are vague. He'd had one couple who said they been ttc for 2 years but the DH had been posted abroad for 18 months of that period in total!

Northey · 14/04/2012 22:57

Progesterone only pill. I think.

I just wish I'd counted all the previous years of contraceptionless sex as actual trying and therefore evidence of a problem. I could have gone to the doctor years earlier and even if nothing had worked out of the same list of treatment at least I would be in the same position as now but with more youth on my side.

If that sounds incomprehensible it is because I am channelling a foreign eurovision contestant. Not because I actually am incomprehensible.

eurochick · 14/04/2012 22:52

Ah, think I've got it - progesterone-only pill?

POP?

OP posts:
HaveALittleFaithBaby · 14/04/2012 22:12

That is :( euro.
We were a bit paranoid I'd fall pregnant when it wasn't convenient ha When we got married we were in a small flat, .1st floor, no lifts. We could have had a baybee there but it would have been a nightmare. We were cramped anyway. So i religiously took the POP, only missed two in two years. Had a couple of times when I thought I might be diffed, feeling queasy and light headed but obviously not. I didn't have proper droids on the POP just a touch of spotting so I tested about once a month to be sure. In retrospect, I think MSB had the ishoos from before we got married, we just didn't realise. In some ways, I think we should just have never used contraception but we had no idea we'd have ttc ishoos and we didn't want a baybee straight after we got wed, especially since we hadn't had the sechs before we got we'd. Having dnephew around gave MSB confidence that he'd be a good Dad :)

eurochick · 14/04/2012 21:25

Norfy we were similar. After we moved in together 4 years ago, we gradually became more and more casual about contraception. Hormonal contraception never agreed with me, so we were using condoms. And then only using them at what we thought were the most dodgy times, then abandoning them completely and using a rough and ready rhythm method (avoiding what I expected to be midcycle but with slightly irregular periods and now knowing that I have a shortish luteal phase and so ovulate after midcycle we must have been in the danger zone many times). It was during this time that I think we had a near win - I had a few days of pink watery blood and feeling a bit lightheaded before I started to think it might be pg-related. I bought a test the next day but by then had started bleeding and it was negative. At the time I wasn't too bothered because I had just ordered my slim fitting wedding dress and we hadn't taken the decision to start trying as we had decided to wait until after the wedding. But it was a much happier time. It would have been great to have a baybee win back then without all this stress. Apparently, it is often a miscarriage that triggers NK cell issues, so that could have actually marked the start of our woes. Meh.

Being able to go to bed for the sechs whenever you fancy. Actually, just going to bed when you fancy. MSB and I still revel in that.
