Asseyez-vous mes amies and ready yourselves for the BESH Eurovision contest ever. Get ready with your Central European fashion, transvestites and inability to sing anything in tune. Get ready to rip your skirts off and leave your other halves no option but to make their mind up (do you see what I did there?) to get down to some swi and do your best not to think of Terry Wogan at any point in the proceedings. Finally, get ready to yell ?nul points? at the evil Droid should it dare to make an appearance.

Newbies, approach in high euro-camp mode, find and complete the BESHtionnaire to let us judge whether you are cynical and menkul enough to join us.

Dragon

Worth a punt

sinkingflameofhilarity · 24/04/2012 08:01

And morning from the republic of Rulvakia. (you know, there's always one country you've not hear of, but don't like to ask..)

Hope they're helpful north. Did they tell you how much clomid to take? Each tablets 50. I started at 50, went to 100 and think max is 150. (actually, pre drilling I was started at 100 because my hormones were "totally wrong"...)

Not sure about the metformin though. I've heard of people on both, so presumably won't cause hidious side effects!

Cant see your chart on my phone phe, but I'll give you a hefty prod in the kidneys anyway.

And anyone notice the lack of dragons today.

The Fred just seems a little bit less scaley. Sad

CaveMum · 24/04/2012 07:42

Cross-posts. Boo to useless menfolk Norf

FriendofDorothy · 24/04/2012 07:41

That does look like a positive chart faithy... fingers crossed!

CaveMum · 24/04/2012 07:40

Hola from Madrid [wishes she was somewhere warm]

What a wonderful show you have put on tonight, and Helga I luff your dress! [flirts shamelessly with the hosts]

Norf, glad you are feeling a bit better. Definitely talk to the pharmacist about what's what, better to be safe than sorry.

Faithy that chart does look promising. What's your usual luteal phase? [prepares kidney prodding stick]

Northey · 24/04/2012 07:38

Shock I'm not a chart expert, feefee, but I think I might be POASing with that.

AMNH was sweet and soothing but ultimately a bit useless (as predicted) about engaging with the practical side of things. Hey ho.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 24/04/2012 07:24

Halló and good morning from the Icelandic judges! :)
Northey so many bombs were dropped on you yesterday, it's no wonder you didn't find out about the clomid. Yes ask to go into the little consulting room and have a proper chat! What did AMNH say about all this?
I'm a combo of emotions, still feeling ouchy and so a bit grumpy , excited cos my iPhone is coming today :) and tentatively pleased with my chart which still looks good!

Northey · 24/04/2012 07:02

Hei from the Finnish judges!

Off to get prescription made up this morning, and to have a proper chat with pharmacist, as I've realised I've come away without a clue how many tablets to take or when to take them or whether to carry on taking metformin at the same time!

How are my fellow judges?

Northey · 23/04/2012 22:15

Thanks. Am calming down now. Think I was mostly knackered and pissed off at waiting. And the fact that noone even apologised or even acknowledged that it had happened.

FriendofDorothy · 23/04/2012 21:23

I am just fingers crossed for Clomid for you then!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 23/04/2012 20:31

Well, not the easiest stuff to hear norf understatement but I am pleased you have the clomid. I'm definitely Hmm about 'infertility from last conception', that's just Bollocks. And all the other crap. Hmph. I'll set the Dragon on her if you like. But yes, you have the clomid, which I do believe will make a positive difference to your cycles and you likelihood to get diffed
cavey it ain't over til the metal head arrives

CaveMum · 23/04/2012 20:05

Hurrah for Clomid, but boo for the crappy logistics and IVF issues. I know it is easier said than done, but try not to think about the "after Clomid" part just yet. You've got 6 cycles of Clomid ahead of you, so you must focus on that.

In Caveworld, I'm feeling crampy. Suspect droid is on its way Sad

Northey · 23/04/2012 19:52

Don't know, euro. Need to talk to AMNH, really. Though realistically it is going to be me who works out how it might work and make it happen :(

Northey · 23/04/2012 19:40

I suppose it isn't really all that bad. I'm just a bit Hmm about the introduction of private payment (no probs with going private, but if I were going private I could have done it ages ago and not had all this waiting), pissed off about the ivf thing, as I had thought I was within their guidelines so was really taken aback to discover I'm not, and anxious because she basically has no plan beyond Clomid and more Clomid. So if this doesn't work am I basically beyond help?

eurochick · 23/04/2012 19:37

Hmm, well that was a rather mixed meeting then. At least you have the Clomid, hurrah! It's sh1t news about the IVF though. Meh.

How are you going to manage the scanning/sechsing?

OP posts:
Northey · 23/04/2012 19:34

Well. I suppose it's not all bad. I was just a bit overwrought after 2 hours of waiting and a slightly combative meeting.

Good news is, I have a prescription for Clomid (YAAAAAY). And that makes me very happy. It was just the other stuff that knocked me a bit.

  1. if this fails I will never qualify for NHS IVF, as they will count infertility from point of last conception, rather than point of starting fruitless sechsing. And by the end of three years from ectopic, I will be over the age limit.

  2. they want to do follicle tracking, which will be v hard to arrange going back and forth from Wales to England, what with the need to be in Wales for sechsing, and England for scanning.

  3. consultant wants me to do the AMH for ovarian reserves thing, as a private patient, as it's not available on NHS.

  4. she was snitty with me for prodding her to clarify the ivf situation, saying she wanted to spend time on clinical matters, not explaining Trust IVF provision policy. Which is grossly unfair - as she could have answered my question in 15 seconds, ad she was the one who blethered on for ages, answering questions I hasn't asked and had no desire to ask.

  5. if Clomid doesn't work, her basic plan is just to try Clomid for longer...

Sorry. Massive stressy dither from me now

eurochick · 23/04/2012 18:38

ROAR Dragon

OP posts:
HaveALittleFaithBaby · 23/04/2012 18:32

I'm sorry you've had a crap experience Norf, regardless of what they said :(
We are here for you when you're ready.
Unleash the fury Dragon

CaveMum · 23/04/2012 18:29

Sorry, but we have dragons???????!!!!!!

Dragon Dragon Dragon Dragon Dragon Dragon

Norf, come back when you are ready and we'll be waiting with gin.

sinkingflameofhilarity · 23/04/2012 18:13

Should we have unleashed the Dragon on them

Ok... I just wanted to use the emoticon.

But really, do you want a BESH posse round to sort the clinic oot?

sinkingflameofhilarity · 23/04/2012 18:12

Aw norf

Have a cheeky arm squeeze. (and a proper hug while I'm at it. Feel free to snot down my back, I'm beyond any embarrassment these days...)

Northey · 23/04/2012 18:01

Just out. Need to have a massive cry gather my thoughts then will update.

Wonder how lemon got on.

sinkingflameofhilarity · 23/04/2012 17:59

Bloody hell Norf. You have now been in, right?

Seriously though, some staff are a little, shall I say, shite. Make sure the clark gave your notes to the nurse, who've put them in the right pile etc. it might just be a usual over subscribed nhs clinic.

Have an Angry to get you feisty-ly aggressive again.

CaveMum · 23/04/2012 17:42

Is there a receptionist you can complain to? This really is not on.

Northey · 23/04/2012 17:18

I could cry with frustration. Just stuck in this bloody room with a video on loop about sodding pregnancy and babies.
