Name changed for anonymity, mainly cos I've had so many false alarms in the past.

Today I am CD20, normally cycle length is 26, so a week to go until I test.
I am CONVINCED already that I am pregnant though. I can 'feel' my uterus inside me, I feel slightly sicky when I get hungry, my boobs are slightly bigger and sore...

I am tempted to POAS already, but know it's too early.

Sorry JayJ, I got that wrong, I am losing it, I thought you had posted news of a BFP. I hope you get one soon x

ng1412 · 21/04/2012 09:26

Hello all - can I join you please? I have a DD who is 11 months and we are trying again for our second. AF only came back last month so this is my first cycle trying. Before I had my DD my cycle was a bit messed up (due to PCOS) but it averaged about 34 days, I am currently on day 33 and tested this morning with a cheapo kit I bought at our local pharmacy (here in France) and it had a very, very faint line. Nothing at first when I POAS but it came within the 5 mins that the guidance said was the max. time to read it...

What do you all think, is that good news? I told my DH and he told me not to get my hopes up. Then about 10mins later I was getting cramps and honestly thought it was AF. I am now living in fear of going to the loo!

Congrats to livimum and Jayj.

And Cakeplease I am sure you will have some good news soon. Fingers crossed!

livismum · 21/04/2012 09:23

Sorry to hear that JayJ I was reading an article on another thread (can't find it now sorry) it was all about when the hormones are released that show on a test and how much it can vary, depending on ovulation and how long things take to move down and get settled (correct terminology or what!) so it might still be too early but then I totally get about not wanting to put your life on hold!

Go out and have a drink or two, at some point u hopefully won't be able to, so enjoy while u can!

JayJ · 21/04/2012 09:06

Hi all

Good luck to everyone POAS this weekend.
Livismum, congratulations on your news, wishing you all the best.
Sorry for your loss Cakeplease, hope you get that BFP soon.

Well, AF is due tomorrow, POAS this morning, first thing and it was a BFN. Gutted. Really thought I might be Pregnant but blooming body is obviously tricking me. I have PCOS anyway so rationally I know it will take a while. It was a First response test and I believe they are very accurate, especially this close to when AF is (supposedly) due.? I am at a party this eve and will be ok to have a cheeky glass or 3 of Wine, although I still feel that maybe I shouldn't until AF actually arrives but I am sick of putting my life on hold.

What do you think? I am only worrying because when was pregnant with DD I got loads of false negatives until AF was a week late, but I was using cheapy tests then. Hopefully FRER are more accurate. Any one with more knowledge please can you feedback to me?

Thanks Ladies

livismum · 21/04/2012 09:03

Yep that's better BFP Grin

Much clearer this morning, DH said why not wait a week and test then............ A week?!!

Really hope u ladies all get them too, sending positive pee thoughts!

Cakeplease · 20/04/2012 22:01

:) I won't last a week!! Test was a crappie boots own cheapie that you can only accurately test from day of missed period, I have no idea when that will be! Will get myself a first response & test tues (if I can wait that long?!?) as I am in crazy wtf post mc cycle I may not even ov, who knows... I am suspicious though.... I'm snappy, bloated, emotional, nauseous...... Either terrible pmt or pg or ??????? Just crazy ;p xxx

livismum · 20/04/2012 21:06

Fingers crossed it was just too early cakeplease I only got a really really faint line today and pretty sure I ovulated on the 9th, you must have some willpower to try and wait a week!

Enjoy having a drink, we have a christening on Sunday but I'm usually the driver anyway so shouldn't be too suspicious that I'm not drinking!

The manufacturers of Tests must make a fortune from all of us POAS, let's hope we can stop making them more profits soon!

Cakeplease · 20/04/2012 20:44

Did it, a cheapy boots own that was left from waiting for a BFN after mc, mixed emotions really initial one was sadness but I guess it's too soon. I've got a party tomorrow so at least I can enjoy a drink without wondering if I am? & I don't need to make crap excuses about why not drinking. If no AF this time nxt week will try poas again. Hoping for some good news & bfp's on here tomorrow. Good luck ladies xxx

PipIsOutNow · 20/04/2012 18:28

Thanks furry

Welcome cake

FurryFox · 20/04/2012 18:22

Hi cakeplease, welcome to the thread. Sorry about your loss Sad. I think I would test then if bfn have that glass of Wine. I had a m/c in November and am also worried that if I do get pg I'll be terrirified of it happening again. Anyway good luck, let us know how you get on Smile

Cakeplease · 20/04/2012 18:12

Ps - good to all testing tomorrow xx

Cakeplease · 20/04/2012 18:12

Hello ladies, can I join? I'm liking your positive thread and need those vibes! Quick summary about me; have 1 DC who is 18 months, decided to start ttc no.2, got pg first month and got to 7 weeks and started spotting. Scan showed blighted ovum and pregnancy had stopped progressing at 5weeks. M/C was natural and straight forward Bfn a week after so decided not to wait and start ttc before first AF. It's now nearly a month since mc and I am considering testing......... I think I ov'd 11 days ago..... Feeling slightly nauseous, tired etc but clearly just hoping! Don't know when to test. Want a glass of wine tonight so test & if bfn go ahead?????? Obviously an also scared of a bfp & it happening again....

FurryFox · 20/04/2012 17:35

Well good luck for tomorrow, hope it's a big big bfp! Grin

PipIsOutNow · 20/04/2012 16:24

Yep I'm testing tomorrow first thing!!! Dont know whether I'm hopeful or not....yesterday I was, feel a bit strange today though Confused

FurryFox · 20/04/2012 13:33

livismum Congratulations on your faint bfp Grin Hopefully it will be darker when you test tomorrow Smile

impatient Sorry you got a bfn but perhaps still a bit too early? Fingers crossed if you test tomorrow it will be a bfp. Have a fab holiday, where are you off to? Smile

Pip Are you testing tomorrow? I'm trying to hold out until at least Tuesday as af isn't due until Wednesday, it seems like ages away!!

impatient2 · 20/04/2012 12:45

livismum Congratulations! that's great news! Let us know how you get on tom.

Hi I tested this morning and got a bfn :( However not giving up hope yet (delusional I know) as 1st cycle after mc so I'm gonna wait and see what the weekend brings! If AF starts going to go to docs to get tingly nipples/ hormones etc checked. Never POAS to have a bpn before! A new (horrible!) experience.

Goodluck to all those testing tomorrow!! Off on hols now!

PipIsOutNow · 20/04/2012 12:15

Let us know how u get on impatient !!

A massive Grin to your VFP (very faint positive) Livismum that's amazing news!!! Is your AF due tomorrow? Mine is too, it's killing me to wait til tomorrow morning!!! I'm so impatient!!!

Sending lot's of positive (literally) vibes for anyone POAS over the next few days!!!

livismum · 20/04/2012 12:01

Hi all! Fingers crossed Impatient

I caved and POAS today (bought 2 more cheapies from Asda so thought I'd use the odd one left in the cupboard from last month!)

Anyway so pee'd and it looked negative so went back to housework, then when i went to throw it away noticed v v faint line! Checked with DH who agreed faint line but it prob was 15 mins after I tested so not 100% convinced!

Hoping it was just faint as not first Pee of the day, will test again in the morning!

Sending u all "positive" vibes as always and nice clear positive lines on those sticks! Grin

JayJ · 20/04/2012 07:46

Morning all.

Just logged on quickly to see if Impatient2 has POAS yet?

Hope you get a BFP!

Jay

FurryFox · 19/04/2012 20:01

Hi pip, fingers crossed your feelings are right and you'll get your bfp soon Smile

livismum haha I think we are the secret society of symptom spotters too. Hope the cramps are good news, when are you going to test?

impatient Glad you're feeling a bit more positive Smile Good luck testing tomorrow, let us know how you get on.

Not really any symptoms here Sad, boobs were a bit achy earlier but ok now and not sure if I get that every month anyway Hmm. Trying not to stress about it too much but that's easier said than done. Good luck to everyone testing tomorrow Smile

impatient2 · 19/04/2012 18:56

HeeHee! Not experienced that lovely one yet! Feeling a bit more positive tonight as strange mucus thing not come to anything. Well see tomorrow!

livismum · 19/04/2012 14:23

Ooh forgot to ask, has anyone experienced belching as a potential symptom?! Blush

My DD called out "Daddy?" earlier after I let out a particularly impressive one in another room! Grin

livismum · 19/04/2012 14:15

Feel like we are a secret society of symptom spotters! (not that I'm a child of the 80's raised on secret 7 or famous 5!)

Still swaying between feeling positive, still cramping and this morning had banging head ache and felt a bit nauseous, (prob because i hadn't had morning cuppa, found it cold on the side) and then thinking don't get hopes up TTC number 2 took a year!

Still trying to hold out POAS till sat, although pretty sure I OV'd on day 16 so still might be a day or 2 early

Good luck everyone [weird secret society hand shake type thing that looks suspiciously like POAS!]

impatient2 · 19/04/2012 13:35

Don't think so unfortunately. Pretty much gone today although getting AF like cramps this morning. Had implantation bleeds twice before and they were different.

Told DH that I thought AF starting and he was totally surprised saying he thought we'd be pregnant - I think he thinks his swimmers are invincible!! Had to break it to him that even if you time SWI correctly, which we didn't due to illness, it doesn't guarantee a BPF (although it has always in the past). He seemed genuinely shocked! Oh to be that naive!!

How are you getting on symptom spotting? x

PipIsOutNow · 19/04/2012 13:34

Can I join in, I too am POAS Saturday morning!!! Feels like it's a year away!!! I did one this morning but BFN but expected that as it is early. I dont know what it is, I can usually tell if I am or not and I have a feeling I am. Strange eh? And I have sore boobs which was the tell tale sign last time. Fingers crossed for all of us xxx
