Pre-seed and Instead Cups?

Hi

Saw on another forum ttc success using Pre-seed (conception friendly lube) and Instead Cups (like disposable mooncups) to aid things.

Anyone use/tried?

Thanks

If you are doing sperm-meets-egg plan, you have to SWI five days running and that takes quite some doing, IME, even with lots of natural lubrication.

We tried both Conceive Plus and Pre-Seed and both STINK. I felt incredibly self-conscious although DH pretended it wasn't that bad. It was.

Also, it's very hard to judge the right amount needed (because this, er, varies) and if you use too much, it is impossible to get the big O.

They're also very expensive and I've since heard that both coconut oil and Canola (brand name) oil are equally suitable and about a million times cheaper.

We'd have carried on using them, however, because KY is spermicidal. Except my HSG revealed I have blocked tubes because of fibroids and adhesions, so now I need a hysteroscopy, not slippery shagging Blush

We used conceive plus and got pregnant the first month we tried it, after not getting pregnant for almost a year beforehand. However, we changed quite a lot of things that month, not just the lube, so can't necessarily say it was that that did the trick.

In.response to your question op, we use conceive plus lube. Not tried the instead cups.will Google and might give them a go! When you've been ttc for 15months and no joy, anything worth a try!

Grin at spunk frittata! I have also heard the phrase fanjo omelette with regard to egg white as lube!

After 4 years TTC, and trying many things, we got pregnant the first cycle that we used preseed. It coincided with DH also having taken his multivits for 3 months so he could have just produced better sperm. Or it might have been the peptalk I gave his sperm after we'd DTD Blush

I have to be honest I find the whole moon cup thing a bit weird [vaguely remembers talk of a thread that started with someone asking about this technique but using egg white instead of preseed... The phrase spunk frittata was used Shock Grin ]

Pointless. Semen is ejaculated at quite some pace. The good ones are immediately propelled through your cervix before you would even have had the chance to stick an instead cup up there.
The 99% that don't make it through the cervix are not up to the job. Holding them inside your vagina with a cup won't make them swim better!

Preseed is fine if you need to use lube. It's better than using KY or other lubes that are not sperm friendly. But if you are producing enough natural vaginal lubrication to have sex comfortably then you don't need Preseed.

I was intrigued by your post so had a look on google! There's a few on eBay might be worth a shot, sounds like you insert it soon after ejaculation and it holds the sperm right up on the cervix x
