Pre-seed and Instead Cups?

Oh and def do recommend that CBFM - it's expensive but much cheaper on amazon than in Boots store say. My cycle is very regular (28 days like clockwork) BUT my OV moved about by a few days from month to month I discovered. I got it because a good friend had been trying for a while and her GP told her to try OV sticks. She did - and got pregnant straight away. She just OVed slightly later than the 11-14 day 'window' they say. I seem to OV on day 16 of a 28 day cycle.

Both roxy! :) Also I did lie there for a while afterwards with legs up just to keep the swimmers in place for a while, I definitely didn't jump up and run to bathroom. Good luck! x

Well I get everyone's views re the mooncup - I use as lastbox just to keep things in ESP as there is also preseed in the mix - pardon the pun :).

So I'm keen to hear from people who were taking a while ttc and then got pg quickly using preseed.

I've used the cups twice and not had any leakage, I've always been quite good at holding it in (clench and run to bathroom) must be holding all the sperm up against the cervix as when I take it out all the spunk is gone (thank god!) worth a shot anyway

We used both when TTC for DS in 2008. Can't say that it was the thing that worked, but I did find the instead cups made things neater. We usually DTD just before going to sleep and even when I ran to the bathroom afterward, I always felt like everything was leaking out all night - sorry if TMI! Just found TTC messy

Pre-seed is great if you don't have a lot of EWCM. We used the refillable applicators, which I liked much better than the pre-filled as you get to choose how much to use (I found one of the pre-filled tubes way too much!) and I could get it up further so it wasn't like a slip and slide on entry!

There's a thread somewhere with people swearing by instead cups and pre seed etc, it's a bit different from the mooncup.

Not sure if my uti is linked I am quite prone to them usually have 3 or 4 a year :/ probably just coincidence

Erm... no time. Because of my job I really wanted to get pregnant in a particular month so used the wonders of science to aid in the quest :o Used the Clear Blue monitor for a couple of months to get the hang of it / idea of cycle, had the pre-seed on stand by then - bam! Went for it. Worked like a charm between knowing when I was OV and the pre-seed.

Like I said, I think DH would have liked a longer spell of baby making :)

Angelico how long had you been ttc when you tried the preseed?

I think the cups are pointless for the reasons Kat mentions. I use preeed or conceive plus if I feel I need additional lube as most brands are not sperm friendly.

Pre-seed works well - we used pre-seed and Clear Blue monitor and got up-duffed first go much to DH's disappointment :o

I wouldn't have thought it is linked. I know me neither - any patience I had I think may have left me this month! Vmuch hoping the preseed does the trick!

I don't see how a mooncup will help - no idea whether the instead cups are different design, but a mooncup doesn't hold anything up by the cervix, the bottom of a moon cup sits just inside the opening of your fanjo so you can get it out easily. I've been using one for AF for 6 years now... Unless you sit with your legs in their air the whole time, gravity will make all the spunk just sit in the bottom of the cup ...

Woke up with a urine infection hope it's not linked to the conceive plus and cups! I am quite prone to them anyway x

I feel the exact same and sit there thinking why hasnt it happened so quick for us :/ been the longest 3 months of my life hoping it won't take too long, clearly patience isn't one of my virtues x

I'm due to ovulate in the next few days so any swi from now on we will be using preseed and the mooncup. Pinkie here's hoping this is our month!

Found out last night another friend is pg. due the same time as my other close friend due early December. I know it can't be rushed but feeling a bit sad & disappointed its not us.

Well used the preseed and instead cup last night! No sign of a smiley on cb yet tho on cd 21 :/ anyways there was no smell at all I bought the box of 8 individual applications and put it as far back as i could, afterwards I ran to the bathroom and popped the cup in was a lot easier than I thought

Yeah I remember seeing one saying both preseed an conceive plus had a really bad odour, it's amazing there's so many ppl that say then lubricants and cups helped! Well I've still not had a smiley face but my fertile window on pink pad is showing as day 18-24 with ov happening on day 23 but this is based on an average cycle of 36 days :/ been testing since day 14 and gonna bd every other day the next week with preseed and cups, not sure when the scan is but am glad he's taking me seriously

Well I bought the preseed to try this month. I couldn't get over how many people online attributed their bfps to this stuff - often on first go too!

So we tried a little bit of it last night for the first time, just to let you know it is a really nice product. Not sticky, just wet, also it is completely odourless - an earlier post said it had a smell?

Fx this helps us to get our very first bfp. If it does I'll be back to tell you all!

Thanks water just had a read all sounds very positive! I've got a scan in the next few weeks to check for possible cysts as I tick most of the boxes for pcos (minus obesity and excess hair) plus don't have much luck catching my LH surge do wonder if I actually ov every month! x

Hello, I've tried using a mooncup the last 2 cycles ( on 10 now) and it hasn't worked for me yet - take katandkits point though.

Some people rave about them. I will be trying preseed next as seems it helps lots of long time ttc get a bfp.

scarlettinspace only just realised what i said haha! If we don't get it this cycle (no 3) then will try preseed and the cups, I'm pretty sure I have pcos and have a scan coming up to check so any help I can give us I will do
