lime acht bugger, sorry to see the witch got you.

Let's look on the bright side - you didn't pee on your fiver AND (as per what to expect when you are expecting) you are officially one day pregnant!

I have ordered a thermometer and some cheapy tests this morning - wearing white undies in a plead to AF to show up. Tempting fate and all that.

lastboxoftampons · 12/04/2012 10:54

Lime & Flightty sorry about this morning Sad But maybe we're all destined for way cool Jan babies! Smile

Lime - I think that's a really good attitude and one I'm trying to adopt. Chances are that we will all have a baby sometime next year. Not sure if it will be the beginning or the end, but statistically speaking it will happen.

Ah, that's enough philosophising for one morning! Grin

Flightty glad you're pleased with your chart. And I know what you mean about not posting it, no worries. And glad also that you're sure about trying for another. You'd think that we're all meant to know for sure what we want. I've always been really maternal, so sure I wanted two children, etc. But TBH, we got started kind of later than I always imagined, then had an mc, then took about 8 months to conceive DS, then all sorts of circumstances that prevented us from TTC#2. And honestly, maybe it's because I'm a bit older, but DS has pretty much kicked my arse in terms of my energy levels...so while I definitely want another baby, I'm not in the least disillusioned about what it will do to us. Plus, I'm a Virgo and I hate change Grin At any rate, we're lucky to have DS and another baby will be icing on our cake.

spring Not to worry, I'm sure I'll be on here with you for ages. Here have a cup of tea Brew let's get comfy!

LimeLeafLizard · 12/04/2012 10:51

Have you thought about asking your DP to have some tests? I think statistically age doesn't affect men to the same degree as women though. I know lots of blokes who've had kids in their 40s and 50s.

I'm off out for the day now, will check up later.

Flightty · 12/04/2012 10:45
  1. Yikes. That puts it into perspective!

Sorry Lime, I was so hoping it was going to be your month. (We're all watching for news from you now Spring!!)

Maybe your DH is right and things are trying to happen...I don't know how it works, it's unfair of your AF to be late though. Really not fair.

Main reason I'm worried is that DP is getting on a bit, and has never had a child of his own. So I don't know if we actually can have a baby iyswim. But I feel grateful and very happy to have such a lovely man for myself and my two boys, and in the end what will be will be. Things could be a lot worse than not being able to have one of our own.

Wishing all of us luck for the next cycle.

LimeLeafLizard · 12/04/2012 10:34

x-post, Flightty... so your AF got off the same train as mine. Sorry to hear that, although I guess we had both seen the signs - temp drop etc.

Glad you are happy with your complete chart. I have been charting for a year now, and temping for 8 months, this next cycle ttc is no. 5. I have a lot of data to analyse! I know we are pretty much bang on in terms of days that we have DTD, so like you I do worry that it won't happen for me again. I do wonder if fertilized eggs are not implanting successfully.

I think we just have to keep going, and sounds a bit trite, but count our blessings. I clicked on a thread a while back and one of the posters was on cycle 79, so suddenly I realised I didn't have much to complain about.

LimeLeafLizard · 12/04/2012 10:24

Grin @ Empire, checking in at 6:51am!

Sadly, for me its a no. Sad I went to POAS and AF had gotten there before me (well at least I didn't waste the stick). She is a cruel old tease, arriving two days late when normally she is always so prompt. DH said maybe an egg did get fertilized and try to implant, and fail, and that would account for her lateness. Who knows?!

So its onto January hopefulness for me.
LimeLeafLizard, TTC #4, Cycle 5, testing around 10 May.

Don't worry Spring, everyone is rooting for you and I will certainly stick around here to see how it goes, and there are quite a few others on the stats who aren't due yet...

Flightty · 12/04/2012 10:14

Aw, well hopefully some of the lurkier ones will be back when it's time to poas for them.

Came on this morning so at least this temping thing is reliable...beautiful complete chart for future reference! Smile

Looks like we weren't close enough to ovulation, and LP is 12 days, cycle was 27 days. Planning to try to get in there a bit closer to the day, next month...hope that will help. Though am a bit worried it'll never happen...I've never taken a 'risk' as close as this before and NOT conceived! Anyway, too soon to worry about that I suppose, will give it another few months.

One upshot is that this has crystallised me into knowing I definitely want another baby and want to keep trying, even if it is a bit frightening.

Love and luck to all of you who are left!

SpringFlowers · 12/04/2012 10:06

Thanks Flightty, there's not going to be anyone left for me to post to soon!

Flightty · 12/04/2012 07:55

Oh Spring! Groundhog day! I'm so sorry. How annoying. I hope Sunday comes quickly for you.

Lime, DP is very good about it, he doesn't ask, just lets me say if anything is bothering me. He does laugh at my thermometer and stuff though Smile

'How's your ovulation going' is about the nearest he gets to a contribution on the techy front Grin bless him. (that was 2 days ago)

Going to lurk today for any good news...massive temp drop this morning so I'm fairly sure I know what's coming. Never mind eh, always next time!

SpringFlowers · 12/04/2012 07:49

Thanks Empire. I need some of the zen that was floating around a couple of days ago. What will be will be and all that. Right dd3 is already having a nap after a 5.00am start (ooof) so I need to get myself ready for school. Who says the holidays are great?

EmpireBiscuit · 12/04/2012 07:26

Oh flower, that is rubbish. You can be happy though that at least it wasn't a test wasted on a BFN because you don't know yet if that is the case or not! IYSWIM. Fingers crossed for a BFP at the weekend.

If AF hasn't arrived here I will test then too. I read the link you gave above and it has a teeny tiny small bit of me back on the "maybe, just maybe" thoughts.

Lime?

SpringFlowers · 12/04/2012 07:18

Oh no, I am a bit of numpty...I couldn't remember when my last period started and thought it was either Sat/Sun17/18th. I knew I had written it in my diary but I had left my diary at school. Anyway, my diary was here all along, I just found it while getting ready to go in today. My last period started on the Sunday. I've got to do day 26 all over again Sad. I am not allowed to test again until Sunday...

SpringFlowers · 12/04/2012 07:02

Morning! Well I did poas this morning but it was negative. I feel a bit stupid actually Blush, I'm either on day 26 or 27 and 11/12 dpo. I should have just waited until af was due on Sat or Sun. So I still don't really know either way. I also used a cb digi (as it's what I had) which I read later wasn't particularly sensitive. I know we all do it but I feel like an eejit. I must be patient and just wait! There is no change in symptoms, I don't really have any that might indicate either af or pregnancy. Still no spotting is the most remarkable thing to report.

Hope your spotting has turned into nothing but a bfp Lime!

EmpireBiscuit · 12/04/2012 06:51

Well??? What news from the wee-ers?

LimeLeafLizard · 11/04/2012 23:20

Aw Flightty, you're making me all emotional too with your fond words for this thread! It is really good to have a place to talk about these things. DH is loving and supportive but being a bloke understandably doesn't want to talk about it all the time. He just says 'any sign of AF yet?', and hearing 'no', goes off to get on with his day, not a second thought.

Pipbin great to see you back on the thread. Hope you had a good holiday? Good luck with eating lettuce. The problem I have with salads is that I start to add things to them to make them more tasty... things like bacon, cheese and croutons! Wink

MummyNickleby sorry to hear about all your questions and concerns. Sorry for your DH too, must be stressful for him which can't help? I think you should book the Florida holiday because surely spending all that money will goad your body into conceiving?!

Empire sorry you can't join us with POAS tomorrow and hope you have the need to buy more sticks soon (i.e. that AF hasn't arrived).

Spring that was a really interesting read. The people selling the sticks aren't too keen to explain all this are they? It really shows that there is not much point testing at least until AF is actually due doubt it will stop me in future though. It also makes me unreasonably hopeful now. I have had a teeny bit of spotting this evening... too early to tell if something positive happening or if AF has finally decided to rock up.

Night all x

Flightty · 11/04/2012 20:38

Pip I think that is brilliant that you're getting loads of fertile cm. Smile I hope it's helpful, I think it's the most important thing you can have in terms of favourable conditions!

Forgot to say, Lastbox, sorry, I am hovering over copy and paste for my chart but I realised it'll be here forever as it's not in chat, and I don't want legions of other (like, not us lot!) people looking at it randomly iykwim! But anyway it's not that thrilling. Goes up from around 36.9 coverline and stays between about 37.10 and 37.26 all the way along...up and down...today it's 37.17 so gradually falling from the 'peak' towards the inevitable I suppose. If the test had shown anything up I'd be more hopeful but there wasn't even an evap.

Anyway, think I'm getting another cold this evening, still sore, still cramping, still very stroppy (poor kids!) so I'm going to head off to bed. Night all xx

Flightty · 11/04/2012 20:23

Empire you just made me laugh out loud with your chocolate egg Smile

That's what going to the gym is all about, isn't it? I've only been about, erm, once so well done for actually going. Think we're both in denial here...dp smokes like a chimney and I have a terrible diet. Just watching the little thingy of folic acid tabs in front of me and really don't want to eat one! No idea why.

Flightty · 11/04/2012 20:10

Hi again,

had a good old read through now. Spring, thankyou ever so much for that link, it's given me a bit more hope - was flagging rather today Smile

Sorry your DH is away too. I'm very emotional the last couple of days and it's getting to me, but anyway, roll on the weekend and at least we'll see them albeit briefly!

Vicariously excited about you and Lime POASing tomorrow Smile. I hope someone else gets a result sometime this week! Really good that you've had no spotting.

Tictac I hope you did manage to catch the right moment.

Wiggy, Eleanora, sorry that AF arrived but good luck for next time eh Smile

Lastbox, thankyou very much for the hugs. I know where you are with the timing thing, we seem only to manage to get down to it every few days, on average I suppose - sometimes a few days in a row but it's not normally at the right time! And last time we got as far as CD12 but then he went away for a few days. He can't decide when to go, he just gets contracted to a job and he has to go and that's it.

He went away last Friday and was due back on Sunday night but had to stay on - expecting him Friday evening. So I'm already quite nervous about next month, if we try again that is - it's so stressful though. I'm feeling really down.

Sorry to be an old misery Blush Its me hormones Smile

My folks don't know we're ttc and I couldn't say anything. They just kept saying how pale I looked, and I made excuses but I didn't really want to be there. But anyway. Enough about me...GOOD LUCK everyone who's still in the game, I'm keeping everything crossed for all of you guys.
Thankyou for being such a marvellous bunch of ladies, I feel more at home and calmer on this thread than anywhere else at the moment, RL or otherwise!

Thanks
Pipbin · 11/04/2012 19:47

Hi guys.
Back from holiday.
Now here is an interesting thing. While I was away I forgot to take my vitb EPO and pre con vits. However I have still had lashings of EWCM.

Not sure what is going on with my cycle as EWCM has started earlier than normal and due to flying to the USA and back I think it might knock it all out of sync.

In other news I got back to a letter from the doctor saying that they want to check that my BMI is not over 30. Balls, it's 31 right now. Time to eat more lettuce I think.

EmpireBiscuit · 11/04/2012 19:39

Stick peeers even...

EmpireBiscuit · 11/04/2012 19:39

Evening all,

Ohhhh fingers crossed for a pee stickers tomorrow! I'm not putting myself through it again have ran out so wont join you. Still nothing happening here.

Just been to gym, chocolate egg now required.

SpringFlowers · 11/04/2012 18:52

I thought this was interesting: community.babycentre.co.uk/talk/a3696155/all_about_implantation_timing_symptoms
I don't know how to post a link, hope it can be used!

LimeLeafLizard · 11/04/2012 18:44

just a quick catch up - will try to post properly later. Still no AF and like you Spring I am dreading going to the loo for fear she'll be waiting! Yes I would love to be POAS buddies tomorrow am - if she doesn't arrive before then of course.

SpringFlowers · 11/04/2012 16:12

Hi Everyone, still nothing to report here. I guess I could be having a really unusual cycle for me but it would be very odd. I have had days of spotting before every period since they started after dd3. I have loads of sensations in my pelvis (maybe because I am permenantly thinking about my uterus Grin) but I can't describe them. It's not like period pain anyway. Maybe it will turn into it over the next couple of days?

Flightty It's nice to see you back, I was wondering where you'd got to. Sorry you had a lousy day yesterday. My DH is working away from home for the rest of the week and will be working over the weekend too. Great stuff for the school holidays, I'll be back at work on Monday. I hope that your temperature picks up and that this is your month, it's not over yet.

Lime I guess if you temp you have a better idea of when you're out before you are out if you see what I mean. I haven't a clue

MummyNickleby · 11/04/2012 15:29

Sorry for the lack of posts, have been having a crisis on several levels:
Do we really want another?
Can I do it all again?
Will I get PND again?
Will DS resent not being so spoiled? Blush
And...Blush some "performance issues" with DH Blush he's erm.... Not lasted very long... Erm... About 2 seconds to be precise!! Blush
AF arrived today so I'm going for a 2013 baby now... Have bought ovulation sticks and am going to give it 2 more cycles then give up and book to weeks in Florida for next year Wink
