Yes, we are getting a bit ahead of ourselves! Grin But it is just for fun.

Lets wait and see if this is our month.

Eleanora · 30/03/2012 10:26

Ok so I've just used the MN calculator too Blush and snap - 18/12/12. However DS was a week late so if the same happens again that would be...Christmas Day!

Anyway possibly we are getting a bit ahead of ourselves here

LimeLeafLizard · 30/03/2012 09:25

Using the MN calculator I have already worked out what my due date would be Blush IF I am lucky enough that this is the month. It is based on the last day AF arrived. EDD would be 18 Dec.

Anyway it is all a bit theoretical when I'm not even pg yet!

Come on magic reindeer, do your stuff!

Eleanora · 30/03/2012 09:06

wiggy29 - well done to your dp!

limeleaf POAS buddies it is. You never know - we might even have the same due date...

Hope everyone is having a sunny Friday morning and looking forward to the weekend, x

blackcatsdancing · 29/03/2012 17:07

on my break now.
I find OPKs very useful and the cheap ones on amazon make it affordable to test often, useful when you are wondering what the hell your body is doing! I have found it difficult to actually catch the surge though, often the line hasn't quite been as dark as the control, however i compare with the days before and days after (days after only if the line isn't quite as dark or darker) and if its better than those i assume that was it. I think for some people to guarantee getting an 'official' positive LH surge with the cheap sticks you need to test twice daily and be very consistent in the times you test and i can't really do that. The month i conceived i missed the surge but got a darker line than the day before then a couple of days later temp went up to 'confirm' ov.

Wiggy29 · 29/03/2012 14:56

Dear partner I should have said.

Wiggy29 · 29/03/2012 14:55

Phew!my do has just got a permanent contract at work.now we can keep going without money worries!

Treats · 29/03/2012 11:50

I think if you've suffered a loss, you can go one of two ways. You either rush to replace what you've lost, or you retreat from it and don't want to put yourself at risk of further loss and pain. blackcats - it sounds (from what you've posted on here) as though you and your DP are pulling in different directions in response to what has happened. If that's what it is, then don't be too frustrated with him. I know that's easier said than done when time isn't on your side.......

I ov'd much later than 'normal' last month as well. I haven't used OPKs before but I might do it this month as I had EWCM at random times throughout my cycle. Poor DH was told for ten nights on the trot that it was 'really important' to do it tonight......

LimeLeafLizard · 29/03/2012 11:32

We can be POAS buddies on 10th Eleanora. Looking at the stats, there might be quite a few of us on that day! I don't want to test earlier for the same reason as you - PILs here over Easter and MIL is unnervingly good at guessing.

Eleanora · 29/03/2012 11:14

Morning all. Time for Brew I think.

Hope everything goes well for you blackcats

Limeleaflizard I think I'm in the 2ww too though not temping or monitoring things too closely so don't know when ov'ed. I can feel the symptom spotting coming on already - right boob is definitely sore and like combatqueen I'm quite moody (but that may be normal...!).

Have decided I will definitely not test until AF due on 10th april as we are staying at my Mum's for a few days over Easter and don't want to give anything away

LimeLeafLizard · 29/03/2012 10:57

So blackcats it sounds as though your DH's reluctance to try again might be a fear of having another MC. Which is understandable, just as your own need to heal involves TTC again. Ah I do hope you work things out -each of you and together. Hope your long shift goes quickly!

My temp was up a bit yesterday and a lot this morning so definitely into the 2ww again now. I am not good at waiting!

blackcatsdancing · 29/03/2012 08:57

that ended oddly, for me TTC is part of the healing process, its important for me (and i thought for dp) to try again. If it doesn't work then it doesn't, but at the moment it feels the right thing to do.
Anyway work beckons and i must make an effort to get back into good eating today, moping around leads to poor eating habits and i need to be super healthy.

blackcatsdancing · 29/03/2012 08:51

thanks for the kind welcome limeleaf

treats yes i've used OPKs, bought a stack of cheapies from amazon. I think i ovulated last month, albeit far later than usual , i got a very dark second line though didn't quite catch one as dark or darker than the control, however compared with day before and day after definitely a good sign and temps then went up and stayed up until AF , pretty certain i didn't ov the first month, CM signs not great though but again at my age they won't really be the same as a younger womans. I've bought pre-seed to help things along!
DP was devastated by my MMC, he said he'd feared it throughout, there always was a high chance of me having a MC due to age. We both wanted to try again and have been TTC since 2 weeks of having ERPC. I'm so sorry for your loss and can completely understand the desire to get pregnant again. I won't dwell though as I know you want to talk about TTC on here.

Now i have to go to work, my long shift today so no time to dwell .

Treats · 28/03/2012 23:17

blackcatsdancing - sorry to hear about your situation. I think cycles can take a while to settle down after a previous pregnancy - I've had the same situation in the last few months. It doesn't mean you can't conceive though - you just need to watch for the signs that ovulation might be about to occur. Have you tried OPKs?

What has your DP said about not wanting a baby? Do you think he's upset about the MMC? Hope the two of you can work it out.

combatqueen - could be. Ov'ing is a big hormonal upheaval. Or it could be that you're feeling stressed out because you know that you're close to the right time - I know I sometimes get a bit panicky at the thought of 'missing the window'. Maybe you should go and make up Wink

combatqueen · 28/03/2012 22:39

So I'm super moody today, been horrible to dh, he can't say or go anything right bless him.... Is this a possible sign of ovulation? It's a new sign for me if it is, and doesn't help when trying to make sure we have lots of swi!

LimeLeafLizard · 28/03/2012 13:23

treats I might see if I can find that in the library. I had the pregnancy and baby's first year ones which were quite good.

Encouraging that we just need to keep up the SWI!

LimeLeafLizard · 28/03/2012 13:21

Welcome blackcats. Sounds like you need a Brew .
Sorry to hear about your situation, sounds like you have faced some sad and worrying times. Hope you will feel comfortable chatting here.

blackcatsdancing · 28/03/2012 13:14

Hello all,
i'd like to join, need cheering up and distraction. I had an ERPC early feb after a MMC, i've had 2 decidedly odd cycles since (1 very short at 21 days , 1 long at 33 days, with lots of spotting and odd temps) but just looked at Clear Blue fertlity monitor and they say after 2 cycles lasting 21-42 days you can start to use it- i'm not intending to buy one but it did make me think maybe i'm going to have a more normal cycle this month. My period is almost non-existent flow wise , so much i tested again today to check it wasn't an implantation bleed- BFN again, so am on here at CD2. The other issue, which is as equally upsetting as the MMC is that DP has now decided (in the last week) he isnt sure we should have a baby, he isn't going to stop me (has said if i want one that badly to go ahead) and hasn't threatened to leave me if i do but is having very grave doubts. I'm finding that very, very hard to deal with but have decided to try again another cycle and see what happens whilst also getting my head round this development and its implications. I'm in my 40s with 1 grown child from a previous relationship and initially didn't want another, DP wanted to have one as he doesn't see his own very much- ex moved away with their child.

Treats · 28/03/2012 12:57

Sorry Pipbin - didn't mean to put a downer on things. I've started lurking in the parenting sections of bookshops in my lunch hour again (I last did this four years ago.......) to look at the books on fertility and conception - not that there's anything I don't already know in them. Anyway, I was looking at this one yesterday which was a lot more upbeat about the chances of conceiving over 35. It's just that the odds reduce from about 25% per cycle in your early 20s to about 15% in your 30s - you just need to give it more chances......

Pipbin · 28/03/2012 12:35

Thanks Lime. It would work out so well if it was this month.
He's hoping.
Magic flying reindeers, do your best.

LimeLeafLizard · 27/03/2012 22:32

Pipbin will you be taking up your seat, then? Try not to get too down, you have to keep going, it will happen. This has to be a lucky flight, what with the reindeer and all... X
