Jingle jingle....anybody joining me? I figure this HAS to be my month if I'm starting the thread :o

Hi girls,

how is everyone? Spring, I kwym about this month. 6 or 7 dpo here (how do you tell...my temps are always a bit wonky, depends whether I get any sleep or not!) and holding out so far on the testing. I'm just not going to.

DP said last night something about if my period doesn't come, and I didn't like to put him out of his old fashioned sense of sanity by telling him we could potentially know NOW with a FRER, poor chap, I'm going to sit it out with him and wait. In total denial Smile

I'm rubbish with being pregnant because the last two times I had very bad morning sickness and needed medication which didn't work very well, so for the first bit I just felt terrible. Stopped at about 20 weeks properly and the rest is good, I love being pregnant but I am so scared of it.

As far as 2ww stuff goes, I had proper PMT yesterday, and after a massive (but comical) argument about who was going to drill a hole in the wall (I know) poor DP ended up going to the pub while I sat here wondering what is going on with my mood!

My tits are sore, I have cramps, nothing else significant but temps still up in 37s. That's all fairly normal. So not a clue basically Smile

Wishing everyone a good day ahead x

SpringFlowers · 05/04/2012 09:39

Morning! I've had pains both sides and a heavy feeling when I sit down since 2 dpo. I don't think this can be anything to do with ttc as it was all too early. Only 6dpo now. This month is taking forever to pass!

Any news Roxy?

SilentMammoth · 04/04/2012 22:25

Can I join? Just got AF for 1st time since coming off pill. So CD1 for me, and have just worked out that my EDD would be my birthday which made me smile!

SilentMammoth (31) CD 1, Cycle 1 TTC#5

LimeLeafLizard · 04/04/2012 18:43

roxy your symptoms sound positive this month, I have my fingers crossed for you (and us all). I won't be joining you testing on Friday though, I need to be realistic and wait until AF is due on Tues before I crack!

Wiggy thanks for the update and have a lovely break! But don't overdo the vino just in case Wink

knicky I've been imagining cramps all day (8dpo) but am not particularly hopeful as I've had this before but then AF has been bright and prompt the following week!

roxy31 · 04/04/2012 15:08

Hi everyone ff says af due on the 6th but af always arrives on the 14th day after ov. This would be tomorrow so may test then but should prob leave til friday.

So symptoms include nausea in the mornings, need for breakfast, which I don't usually crave. Also this is weird but a really funny sensation downstairs like a dull ache / pressure. Not had anything like it before almost tingly too. Can any of you experienced this? It's not really in the stomach abdomen - feels lower.

Do I have any testing partners for Friday?

knickyknocks · 04/04/2012 14:55

eleanora I've been there done that - and equally given myself a bit of talking to afterwards, knowing that I've wasted a preg test. As limeleaf says so easy to do though, and I can safely say most of us have done it.

As for me, I'm symptom spotting. Twinges down below and I'm 6DPO. Hoping something is implanting. No other symptoms, though was ridiculously tired last night (but that's like most nights these days, working 4 days a week and looking after DD1 who's 2.5 seems to take all my energy)

How's everyone else's symptom spotting going?

Wiggy29 · 04/04/2012 14:52

Just to let you know (whle I have reception),I tested on a first response&no pregnancy to report.only cycle 1 so it's fine,I'll be indulging in a lovely glass of vino this w/end.good luck to all of you testing over the next couple of days-I've got fibgers&toes crossed for you all.xxx

LimeLeafLizard · 04/04/2012 14:47

Never mind Eleanora I'm sure you're not the first person to do this, and at least the bfn is meaningless so the sore nipples could still be a good sign!

Eleanora · 04/04/2012 13:45

Hi everyone,

I'm so embarrassed - I've had sore nipples for days so I cracked yesterday and POAS - BFN. But maybe not surprising as was 7 days before AF due and afterwards I read the pack which said it could detect pregnancy hormones from 4 days before! What a waste of money...

Treats · 04/04/2012 12:32

Hi Springflowers - I think I did eventually, but it was much later than I thought. I've been tracking my temps on fertility friend and it detected a temp rise on Day 20.

No sign of a temp rise yet, though and it's day 15 - which means that I'm oving late again :(

LimeLeafLizard · 03/04/2012 22:32

Lots of posts to catch up on!

Spring, my DC are 7, 3 and 21 months. I'm not particularly worried about coping with 4 - it is pretty full on already! I've already done newborn + toddler + school run, and I anticipate more of the same Grin (DC2 starts school in Sept). Like Flightty I am more worried about about pregnancy as I had antenatal depression during all my pgs. It clears up the instant I give birth and having a DC for life is well worth it, but it is a tough thing to deal with in the short term.

Flightty let us know when you want to go on the stats! Wink

SpringFlowers · 03/04/2012 20:58

Evening Everyone Smile

Cejay I don't blame you for not testing early, it's a waste of money and makes you feel awful to get BFN. You never know if it's actually a negative or if it was just too soon to test either so it doesn't actually give you an 'answer'. It sounds like you did all the right things so it's just a waiting game now.

LimeLeafLizard How old are your children now? Are you worried about coping with four? Like you I'm wondering how long it will take to conceive. I'm quite impatient!

I was also thinking about the first timers...back in the day when I was pregnant with DD1 the internet was not what it is today. I read a million books and magazines that basically all said the same thing because there was nowhere else to get any information really. I only met other pregnant ladies who were due at the same time as me when I started ante-natal classes at 32 weeks. It is so exciting having your first baby, I'm quite envious really. It's a massive learning curve but it's just so amazing.

Roxy Good luck with your test - fx you will be joining your friend having a December baby!

Flighty Why aren't you good with pregnancy? Your stats aren't on the list (and I can't read back while posting) are you a tentative ttcer? It'll be ok, I'm sure and will happen at the right time for you.

Wiggy Good luck testing on Friday, you'll either be able to celebrate or have a lovely glass of wine in the lakes.

Crazy I hope your medical thing turns out to be nothing. When I conceived last time I had a 28 day cycle but ovulated on day 16. I never did temp very well and just dtd when I had ewcm. It seemed to work out. I like the idea of a fertility reindeer...

Treats Good luck, it sounds like you are having an unusual cycle.

Flightty · 03/04/2012 16:38

Good luck Treats. i had a strange one last month as well, only started temping I think it was the day of Ov so I had no idea what was going on. And no cm at all, all month, which is frankly bizarre as I normally know just by that iyswim.

I hope you get your temp shift.

Treats · 03/04/2012 15:09

Day 14 today. Have had a bit of EWCM over the last few days but nothing today. DTD on Friday and Sunday, and planning to again today. Keeping my fingers crossed for a temp rise in the next couple of days as it will suggest that my cycles are back to normal. Drove myself crazy last month as there was no sign at all that I'd ov'd and I kept getting EWCM.

Thanks for the Quality Street crazy Wink

Good luck to all those testing this week.

Flightty · 03/04/2012 09:11

Wiggy, it's appreciated Grin I hope you get to enjoy yourselves without worrying.

Crazy....sorry you're not feeling great. I hope it turns out to be nothing bad and you can manage not to let it get to you too much while you wait.

Something always seems to come up, doesn't it? I was relieved not to be pregnant last month, (though we only did it about 6 days before ov, it turned out - weren't really trying) as I think the current dental situation would have been horrific coupled with morning sickness...you never quite know what life will chuck at you.

Thankyou for the sweeties Smile

Crazytictac · 03/04/2012 09:07

< comes in and offers remaining jar of quality streets to go with Brew > to all sitting on the sleigh. Looks a bit forlorn!

Must admit same applies to me, feeling very meh. On day 16 today and no sign of ovulation. CBFM has given me highs since day 8 but no peak and if I'm honest my heart not really in it at the moment. Not sure if should wait for a while as a unrelated possible health issue has appeared :(. GP doesn't think anything serious but referring me anyway and DH thinks we should just crack on. Why can't things be simple eh?

Hope the fertility reindeers are going to work their magic for you ladies otherwise NO carrots Grin

Wiggy29 · 03/04/2012 09:06

Me and DP had a chat and we're going to test Friday so if we're not (which, I don't know why but I just don't feel we are) I can have vino over Easter weekend, relax and enjoy my time in the Lakes without it being overshadowed by 'what if'???

That said, I'll be in the darkest depths of the Lakes so I won't be able to let you know until I get reception; if it is a positive, I'll drive to the nearest town so I can post&let you all know!

Flightty · 03/04/2012 08:04

Hellooooo Smile back on today after enormously bad toothache yesterday, I nearly died of Not Being On Mumsnet amongst other things.

Brew anyone? Roxy, sorry you're feeling down.

Yesterday I had I think what was a fallback rise (unless you can implant at 4dpo, ha) and today we are well back up there. Lime I think we're due the same day, ish. Weirdy cycles lately so could be anything from 8th to 13th really. I am not testing. I'm too blooming scared of getting a bfp.

We thought the moment had passed as FF said I'd o'd on day 8 Hmm but actually it was day 14/15 so we were kind of wrong about that Blush but we both really want to have a baby, so that's ok. Just the pregnancy thing making me scared, I am not great with pregnancy!

Anyway, is anyone testing today? Come on, come on, we're waiting Smile

roxy31 · 02/04/2012 23:13

Thanks Lime yes feeling bit disheartened today :(

roxy31 · 02/04/2012 23:11

I'll be testing later this week. Not as many symptoms As last month. Currently I have what looks to be a third level of temps (which is a first and hopefully a big +) nausea in the mornings, backache, a big thirst and a slightly drippy nose.

No sign of usual af cramps or twinges yet so we will see what happens!

Today i told my very close friend to test as she thought she was a couple of days late. Turns out she is pg and due early december. It was only her second month ttc#1 so she is going to rub her ancient fertility god stone for me!

Who else is testing this week? Might wait til good Friday if af doesn't appear before.......

LimeLeafLizard · 02/04/2012 23:03

Hey the list is getting longer all the time... good luck to everyone!
Hello Coveredinflour, nice to have you with us.

Spring I feel the same, this will be our last baby too, and it is strange to be ttc again and knowing it is the last time. I have 3 boys, littlest is 21 months, so not dissimilar to your smallest. I wonder how long it will take now DH & I are older. In the past have had lucky quick conceptions and frustrating months of trying, so not sure how it will pan out this time.

My heart goes out to the first timers who are taking a while to conceive, I know it is so disheartening at times, and yet you have to keep going and stay positive because it could always be the very next month. And remember, it might happen first cycle when you're trying for #2! (If you go for #2 of course).

Rudawakening · 02/04/2012 20:36

I've added myself to the list but am not holding out much hope, stupid bloody illness and work!

Fingers crossed for all those testing next week, we may have an Easter BFP bonanza Grin

Hello everyone, I have been quietly lurking this month. I have no idea when/if I ovulated - just when I felt like I was beginning to know my cycles! Anyway we made a reasonable effort to DTD last week! So fingers crossed. I'm not going to test till after the 10th as I have tested early in the past and been very disappointed Sad. No symptoms yet and trying not to get too obsessive! Looking forward to Easter and the recent sunshine has helped Grin
