Hi everyone!

Flightty that sounds VERY promising!! Keeping fingers crossed for you. It's always nice to be reminded that it is possible!! Sometimes it feels inevitable that it'll be another BFN (and this is only cycle 3 for me!).

Am feeling faintly queasy this morning but am only about 4DPO (maybe, I have no idea if/when I ovulate so might not have even happened yet). Think it's most likely due to the rich meal I had last night. Complete with goats cheese and a glass of Wine so not ideal for the pg. still nothing would have implanted yet so it would be fine and probably ALL IN MY HEAD.

Happily, good luck with the not testing. I try to stay strong but usually crack the day before AF is due.

Flightty · 06/04/2012 09:02

Can I go and buy a new pushchair now? Do you think? Grin

Flightty · 06/04/2012 09:01

Hi Happily! Glad that you feel better for ditching the OPKs. I think that's the way to go Smile I gave up on them after a nearly-positive, I ran out, ds was ill so couldn't get to the shops and just thought, sod it!

There's only so many that will fit in my desk drawer that you can look at before you get bored.

I just had an OMG moment about my boobs. they have been going mental the last couple of days, just walking round the house this morning and they're not big puppies, iykwim, so I thought, right. Oo-er. And locked the bathroom door, which we never do and looked in the mirror and they are just completely like an Underground map.

I mean I thought they were looking more blue the last few months but this is serious blueness Grin

I'm a bit jumpy now. Hmmmm. and sorry for graphic description of bbs Smile

Happilymarried155 · 06/04/2012 08:34

Hi everyone, I joined this thread at the start but I've been trying not to be so obsessive about ttc this month-iv failed miserably! I ditched the opk this month which I do feel better for but I have no idea when I ovulated or if I ovulated! I had no ewcm this month either so her I am in cd 21, haven't got a clue when AF is due (sometime between 14th and the 19th I think!) therefore I will not test until the 20th. I have no tests in the house and I plan to keep it that way until the 20th!

Good luck to everyone else testing in the next week! X :)

Flightty · 06/04/2012 06:59

Lime Grin thankyou

Roxy, good luck! Everything crossed for you this morning.

Have decided we probably were 3 days before instead of 2, well, maximum 2 and a half I think having done a little diagram involving + OPK and surge and all that. Blush anyone else have to figure it out using pen and paper?

So I'm not hopeful this time. Or maybe I'm just relieved....anyway, 7/8dpo and refusing to even think about buying a test.

Hope everyone has a great Easter. At least chocolate isn't banned if you're pg Smile

roxy31 · 05/04/2012 23:57

Wiggy I've read for some people the bfp can take time to show on a pg test. So lack of AF is the best sign.

Fx for us both!!

The odds are some of us will get the bfps this month. Good luck everyone x

roxy31 · 05/04/2012 23:54

So yesterday night I had v.light spotting and thought it was the start of AF but nothing as yet.... Also still have the 'symptoms' so everything crossed.

I bet AF arrives tomorrow... Either way I will test in the morning.... Wish me luck x

LimeLeafLizard · 05/04/2012 22:23

Sorry X-post Wiggy.

You're not due for another few days, are you? So a test isn't 100% accurate yet... it ain't over until the old lady (AF) arrives. We can't make you stay but it'd be nice to have your company a while longer! Smile

LimeLeafLizard · 05/04/2012 22:20

So with 10+ of us due AF in the next week, surely we'll see some lovely BFPs on this thread soon?

Wiggy29 · 05/04/2012 22:15

Well,I have now discovered why people don't test early.I already know it's a no-go for this month&period still not due for a few days, the next cycle will seem uber long! Being reminded of awful periods when I'm not on pill,a few days until I'm due&already crampy&eating everything! I hope I fall soon or I'll be the size of a house! So do I stay on this thread now or head over to the one with those ttc as a next cycle (I.e. Due in jan not dec?)x

Just checking in, hope I'm not too late to board the sleigh Smile

Flightty · 05/04/2012 20:39

Oh, that's horrid, sorry you're feeling bad. I hate flying too, I've only ever done it once...well twice if you include the reluctant journey home!

At least it's a short one, is it less than an hour? I hope you feel Ok tomorrow, remember to drink plenty if you can. (vodka/water, up to you Grin)

My cycles were getting longer too but last month was back to the short thing again, think I o'd CD13 and this month was 14 or 15 but feeling very premenstrual now, and been very irritable and crampy today in general. I reckon I'll come on by Monday.

Never mind...off to bed in a mo so goodnight all x

SpringFlowers · 05/04/2012 20:27

Flightty - I've had the migraines for about six months. I've only taken over the counter pain killers which have no impact whatsoever. I should really go to the GP and get something stronger. Of course I won't be getting any migraines soon because I will be pregnant!!! I have a funny cycle sometimes. Last month was 25 days but it is usually 28. Based on when I think I ovulated I think that this would be a 28 day cycle. Last month it was around day 13 whereas this month around day 15. I'm feeling ropey this evening, we're flying off to Ireland in the morning and I hate flying. The ropeyness is all part of it.

Flightty · 05/04/2012 16:34

Spring, that's really encouraging about your girls, thankyou Smile
I hope the migraines don't continue. Do you take anything?

Last, that alarm idea sounds very good. That way you know it'll be the same time every day.

Reading your post further, I have a short LP, which I didn't realise till I temped. Seems to be 10 or 11 days. I don't know if it's always been like that, but I've had short cycles for as long as I can remember - going back to before I conceived ds1. 24, 26 days sort of thing. My last was 23 Hmm

anyway I think it's the low end of normal so might be alright for both of us.

lastboxoftampons · 05/04/2012 15:09

Thanks guys Smile

Flightty - my son wakes up any time between 6:30 & 8 - though he's still in a cot, so won't be climbing in with me. I was thinking of setting my alarm at 6 just to take my temp, but not actually get up. He's been waking around 12 and 3 for seeming no reason at all Hmm so it's good to know that you can still see your pattern despite having disturbed sleep.

SpringFlowers - think our plan this month includes me temping, as I feel I've really been lost this month not knowing exactly when I o'd, and Marilyn Glenville vits plus pycogenol for DH. He had an SA when TTC for DS which showed poor morphology - I put him on those supplements and 6 weeks later I was pg. Not sure if it was a coicidence, but figured it couldn't hurt. WHen we were TTC for DS, I got pregnant first month we were trying, but mc'd ~11 weeks, we waited one cycle after the mc and then it took about 7 months after that. So we're not one of those couples who just look at one another and BFP! Wink Tho, because I was PG so quickly the first time, we also know that it could happen quite quickly. I guess you never know!

I've also got a short LP (or used to, but haven't actually sorted out when I o at this point to get an idea of how long it is now) and lots of spotting, so I've got a GP appointment next week. NOt sure if I should mention TTC or not or just go in and say I've got a wonky cycle, sort me out! I think as soon as you mention TTC they'll say we don't want to see you until you've been trying a year (though, I'm 35 now ie "advanced maternal age" Hmm, so they might say 6 months?).

SpringFlowers · 05/04/2012 14:09

Welcome LBOT - great name! I'm trying to be 'cool' about ttc too, I'm not doing brilliantly either. What's your game plan this month?

Flightty - my migranes aren't as bad as they are for some people, I've only been having them recently so it's all a bit unknown. I didn't get one last month which was a relief. I think it might be as a result of my great age... Hopefully you will have a different sort of pregnancy this time, I have three girls and all my pregnancies have been very similar. I just feel hideously sick from week 6 to week 12 after which it tails off by week 16. One of the only ways I can ever combat the sickness is by eating so I am always vast by the end of my pregnancies. I also carry my babies really low and feel like they'll fall out if I sneeze. They never do obviously.

Lime - fx that you are having implantation pain, some of us will be pregnant this month, so there's no reason why it won't be you!

Flightty · 05/04/2012 14:04

Hello Last Smile Welcome! (if as a newbie myself I might say that on behalf of everyone)

I'm temping with a 4 and 8yo and I find temping is a case of 'give it your best shot' really. 4yo recently moved out of my bed and started full time school and his nights are normally broken...he wanders in with me, and DP if DP is staying over, (we don't live together yet) and sometimes I have to getup and take him back to bed. Or sometimes I just give up and he stays in next to me. So it's either getting up or being squashed and too warm Smile

I take mine as soon as I wake which tends to be around 5am at the moment (maybe excitement....maybe my inner alarm clock!, maybe worrying I'll forget) and so far I've had a few odd ones, but mostly there is a shift of a few tenths after ovulation and it's fairly clear even if the temps before are random. They go right down just before, then slope up after and stay in the 37s till AF.

I say this having only been temping for two cycles, well, one and a half but even being punctuated with a fever we all had, and both children being constantly ill, my charts look surprisingly sane.

Give it a go and see how you get on. The more factors that are constant, the better, probably - but I have temped when wearing different sorts of nightwear, with hardly any sleep and with quite a lot, and in a time frame of 2 hours or so, and it's still been discernable when I ovulate.

HTH a bit Smile Good luck!

lastboxoftampons · 05/04/2012 13:00

Hello everyone - can I join you?

Am a lapsed MNer - have a little boy who is 2.5 and was on here constantly when TTC for him. But of course, he doesn't leave much time for anything now, let alone MN or even TTC #2. Grin but, alas, we're going to give it a shot anyway. On CD1 of cycle #3 so feeling irritable and down Sad was so determined to just have lots of sex and calmly TTC...but, needless to say, that's just gone out the window along with an amazon virtual shopping basket full of vitamins and paraphenalia Wink!

I'd love to natter with you all and hear all your stories and get your advice. Particularly interested - any tempers on here? If there are, do you have any suggestions for temping with children, particuarly ones who don't sleep very well?

Many, many thanks! Looking forward to chatting with you all!

Flightty · 05/04/2012 12:06

Hi Spring,

sorry to hear you get this pre menstrual nausea too - I have had it sometimes, just, this feels stronger...but again I'm sure that is just my overactive imagination!

Both children are boys so either a girl will make it much more bearable or much less bearable...Oh dear, well, will try not to think about that Smile but thankyou for your words of reassurance.

Trying to stay in denial as long as possible! Migraines must be horrible. I know a lovely woman who always has such bad headaches and migraines with pregnancy. She has had three girls, we've lost touch so I don't know if she has had any more children. I wonder if that's (vaguely) gender specific as well.

Lime, I hope your crampiness is implantation, too Smile Good luck!

LimeLeafLizard · 05/04/2012 10:35

Morning all. Welcome SilentMammoth! You must be organised, joining the thread on CD1 of cycle 1!

So I am now 9dpo and hoping that the very slight crampiness might be implantation. Then again maybe I'm just imagining it. It is comforting to come on here and read about all your symptom spotting so I know I'm not the only one.

SpringFlowers · 05/04/2012 10:23

Oh god, sorry...

Deck native = definitive

SpringFlowers · 05/04/2012 10:22

Hi Flightty, as this is our first month trying I've not been temping. I'm guessing I'm about 6dpo because of when I had abundant ewcm. It's about right. I don't want to get into early testing 'cos it doesn't give a deck native answer. If it's bfn is could just be too early. I'm really sorry about your pregnancy sickness, do you have two children of the same sex? It might be that if you carry the other your pregnancy will be totally different. I sometimes feel sick with my period - I've started getting pre-menstral migraines so I can't even get excited about that! I had a funny dizzy moment yesterday, but I am blonde Wink.

Flightty · 05/04/2012 09:59

Sorry keep reading back! Wiggy...sorry about the bfn, but enjoy the wine, have a lovely time. Come back when you can!

Flightty · 05/04/2012 09:58

Oh and twice yesterday I felt really car sick - not in the car, in the house/shops - that hormonal sicky feeling, you know? That worried me slightly! But too early for anything really isn't it.
