Jingle jingle....anybody joining me? I figure this HAS to be my month if I'm starting the thread :o

LimeLeafLizard · 08/04/2012 09:36

Happy Easter!

I'm feeling a bit fed up this morning - just have a feeling this isn't the month.

There are quite a few getting ready for the next thread, but we need more BFPs on this one. C'mon famed Fertility Reindeer, show us what you can do!

Wiggy how was your break?

Wiggy29 · 07/04/2012 21:16

Congrats to those with positive news and to those who had their af...I'll see you on the next thread!I'm holding out hope as af not due until tomorrow (assuming 28 day cycle but I haven't the foggiest what it will actually be). Did a test on we'd and that was negative but as they say,the show's not over till... Well, you know the rest!

It's strange paying such close attention to my body without the influence of the pill. Lots of random cramps which seem to have subsided yesterday but nipples have gone mental, I feel like Jennifer Anniston in 'friends'! They have been standing to attention since yesterday morning with no signs of letting.not very comfortable but curious to see if this is a monthly indicator of af that I don't normally get on the pill.

lastboxoftampons · 07/04/2012 16:38

Flightty is definitely the joker of the sleigh, isn't she? [bugrin] PMSL about Progesterone Hill

Roxy So sorry about the temp drop [busad] When we were TTC #1, I went to talk to my GP before a year, though it was under the guise of my crazy cycle. Are you temping or doing ov sticks? And how old are you (if you don't mind my asking). Think they say 6 months if you're over a [ahem] certain age... And in Taking Charge of Your Fertility, she says it's worth having your doctor take a look if you're sure you've been timing things right for about 4 cycles. {hugs} for you.

Treats So very lovely to see you here. Strangely, I remember the cycle before DS was conceived was horrid as well. We were in Birmingham overnight and I was just doubled over on the floor of the hotel bathroom Blush Maybe a painful cycle = a good clear out in there so that the next time a bean is much more likely to implant in nice fresh new lining...like how I always feel better climbing into a bed with fresh sheets on it? [bugrin]

Thanks so much for the Wine Crazy - MN is getting very fancy with their smileys!!! Smile

LimeLeafLizard · 07/04/2012 10:24

Morning all. Roxy that is a shame - it sounded hopeful for you this month so all the more annoying to get the temp drop. Hopefully someone on the sleigh will have some experience of doctors to help you!

Flightty your post made me [bugrin]! I am up there on progesterone hill, too, temps still nice and high, but I just don't feel pg and honestly am expecting AF on Tues.

roxy31 · 07/04/2012 09:49

Morning ladies

Congrats to olivetti

Well af was due thurs or fri. Tested and got bfn - but was holding out hope as last cycle was 23 days however this morning I had the huge temp drop and af pain is building (27 days) :(

So onto cycle 10 ....

DH & I are thinking about visiting the docs to talk it all through. Anyone been to them before the end of first year trying? How did it go.

Good luck to the rest of you testing! X

Flightty · 07/04/2012 07:38

Lbot and Qt, so sorry about AF, that's not fair. I hope this new cycle is yours x

Lbot, I've also had some pretty heavy periods on and off, as far as I can remember it's been worse when I've been under a lot of stress (so not looking after myself, probably) and also when I'm low on iron. I've heard that being a bit anaemic seems to make them worse. I don't know if this is at all likely for you, probably totally irrelevant - I think I said I have a short LP but I don't tend to get any spottng till the actual day iyswim.

Also my LP, looking at FF charts back to 2007 (without temps, just monitoring NFP signs) seems to have crept down from 13/14 days with a short cycle to 10/11 days with the same short cycle! Which is bizarre and a bit worrying. Always used to ov on day 10 or 11 by the look of it. Now it's 13/14/15. Maybe last 23 dayer was just a freak one. Anyway....I hope you find some answers from the GP.

Tictac, thankyou for agreeing about the boobs Grin Always a good sign when someone who has not seen them thinks they're definitely pregnant looking! lol. (sorry, I do say lol sometimes, it comes with being one of those prm hns) (i will try not to call anyone h*n though)

[bugrin]

Still buzzing along up on progesterone hill with the boobs from Hades, this morning. I await the big temp drop tomorrow and AF on Monday, probably.

Is anyone testing today?

LimeLeafLizard · 06/04/2012 23:48

QT and LBOT sorry to hear AF arrived.

Crazy good to hear from you!

Treats I have a Phil and Ted which I used for a while when DS2&3 were v small. I also found it very heavy and a bit cumbersome to steer. It must really suck to be pushing it round and being reminded of your little one who should have been in it too. Sad Hopefully you'll be able to justify the new chassis for the iCandy soon.

Right I'm off to bed. PIL coming tomorrow for Easter so that will prevent me testing for a couple of days. Night all x

wow, been away for couple of days and lots of reading to do...you ladies can talk!! :o

roxy...were you testing today? How did it go?

happilymarried sensible not having any tests in the house otherwise it is nearly impossible not to crack and test early. I have zero self control on these matters, also applies to jaffa cakes.

flightty will second what has been said, does sound very promising! It's so strange imagining a strangers boobs and nodding sagely in agreement that you must be upduffed Grin. I've got an icandy pear which I love (but agree with olivetti it is very heavy). Have you seen the new collections? Vair nice! I got it as was planning on having another fairly quickly and think you can adapt it to carry two sprogs. However my DS has refused to sit in it for months and baby 2 is in no hurry to be created! Hmm

coveredinflour fingers crossed for you, anything remotely out of the ordinary makes you wonder doesn't it even if you tell yourself you ARE NOT going to think about it at all

olivetti...amazing news and congratulations!! {whispers very loudly} the fertility reindeers are working!!! I would offer you a Wine but erm you cant have any now :o.

limeleaf nearly at the end of your 2ww now...hopefully the reindeers will continue to work their magic!

lastboxoftampons don't think I've said hello to you yet. Here's a Wine. Sorry to hear AF is here with a vengeance. Can't offer any useful advice sorry but hopefully somebody else here might have some experience of this. Have an easter egg to go with the wine for now.

LBOT - x posted. Sorry AF got you. Sad I don't think I have an answer to your question - only to say that I always used to get the most appallingly painful periods - very heavy and with some clotting. I had a diagnosis of PCOS when I was about 20 but by the time I was having fertility tests about ten years later, PCOS wasn't detected but I was still having the awful periods.

Strangely, my periods have been pain-free since I had DD. My very, very worst one was in fact the last one I had before we conceived her (I remember it starting on NYE 2008 and collapsing in agony on the bathroom floor).

If it helps at all, I had those awful periods but nothing was wrong and we did manage to conceive DD, so it might just be bad luck. Hope the GP has some answers for you though.

Treats · 06/04/2012 21:23

50 prams!!!! Shock

We had an iCandy cherry with DD. And if you think that weighs a ton, Olivetti - you should try the Phil & Teds we swopped it for when we thought we'd need a double buggy. Sadly the iCandy lost a wheel just before Christmas and I'm waiting to see whether it's worth forking out for a new chassis (i.e. will I need to use it again for another baby). In the meantime I've got the P&T for when DD needs a buggy (she walks most places now) and it drives me mental - it's so heavy!! And it probably annoys me more because I've only got one child in it, when i thought I'd have two. Sad

lastboxoftampons - it's so great to hear from you! Thanks for your PM (I'll reply in a minute). Let's hold hands again..... (for anyone who's wondering, lbot and I were on a conception thread together three and a half years ago when we were ttc our firsts)

Wiggy - sorry for your BFN. But it's not over yet.....

For me, I was pleased to see a small temp rise this morning which suggests i ov'd yesterday - day 16. We DTD last night, so hopefully we've timed it right......

lastboxoftampons · 06/04/2012 21:06

Flightty!!!!!!! Omigosh, 50!!!!
We've got a Bugaboo Bee and it's seen DS from birth through to now. Was tempted to get another, DH wanted a Maclaren or similar, but he's nearing the weight limit on all of them anyway. Don't think we'll need a double, but I do love the Baby Jogger Citi Mini.

Olivetti, congratulations!!! Well done Smile Best wishes for a happy and healthy 8 more months!

Could use some advice - I've got a short LP with lots of spotting, so I made an appointment with my GP to discuss. Period has just shown up in full force today and it is so painful. I typically have bad cramps, this month is particularly severe, plus I get lots of clotting. Wondered if anyone has these symptoms and know what is the underlying cause? I've read fibroids, estrogen dominance, etc. But wondered if there is any real life evidence out there? Thank you! Smile

Flightty · 06/04/2012 16:59

So, Olivetti, erm, what model have you got then? (actual genuine question, of course) Smile

They're very neat, those icandies but I never thought they'd be heavy. So that's a surprise.

Olivetti · 06/04/2012 15:23

I've got an iCandy - looks great, but weighs a tonne!

LimeLeafLizard · 06/04/2012 15:11

50?!?!

Flightty · 06/04/2012 15:03

Oh yes the icandy ones are really nice looking aren't they. I've not had one of those.

I'm ashamed to say I've had over 50 pushchairs/prams, but that's just between us you understand...I'll be chucked off the thread Grin

and probably off MN...Oh dear Blush

I'm not really going to buy a new one this time as I've got a few from ds2, so at least the baby will be an economical venture. DP is pleased about that.

LimeLeafLizard · 06/04/2012 14:50

Which prams do you like then? I have only had 4 prams / pushchairs over 3 kids, which I think is quite restrained! I always fancied the iCandy ones but never could justify it. Maybe if we succeed with trying now...

Flightty · 06/04/2012 14:37

Sorry Lime, to lower the tone...I'm a closet pram hun but don't tell anyone, Ok? Wink

but it's not the only reason I want a baby

LimeLeafLizard · 06/04/2012 14:34

Grin at Flightty justifying new pushchair by state of boobs!

LimeLeafLizard · 06/04/2012 14:08

Congratulations Olivetti, that is great news! Hope it goes well for you.

My AF is due Tues like yours was and hearing your wonderful news is tempting me to test but I will not be testing until until at least then because I have learnt my lesson previously.

Olivetti · 06/04/2012 13:09

Thank you! Yes, due date would be 20th December, but I am feeling very cautious - it's so early, could end up being chemical pregnancy. I'll test again in a few days. Boobs are SO sore though, remember this from first time around Grin
Sending baby dust to you all - keep posting xx

coveredinflour · 06/04/2012 12:40

Wow olivetti congratulations!!!

Lt's hope it's catching...

Flightty · 06/04/2012 12:13

Thankyou CiF, that's really sweet of you, and I hope you manage to get a BFP this month. Not been ttc properly as such, just talking about it and letting it happen iyswim but a lot of us seem to have been starting around January don't we. Which is kind of nice.

Olivetti!!!!! Grin Thanks wow, that's awesome...short lived on the ttc threads then Mrs Grin Well done.

Is your due date around 21st December? I think that's what mine was and AF is due the same time as yours.

Are you going to celebrate? (and which brand did you use?)

Olivetti · 06/04/2012 11:14

I cracked and tested....BFP! But AF not due until Monday/Tuesday, so have to remind myself how early days it is....that's the problem with these early test kits. Am feeling pretty shit, though, so I guess that's a good sign Grin
