Wishing all those of you who got AF success next month.

Dilly - we can hang out together if you like, I'm in the same boat as you. Am 4 weeks today, according to LMP, so about 2 weeks since conception...

Eleanora · 11/04/2012 13:33

Hi all,

Just a quick one- I'm out this month. Better luck next time for all those with BFNs Smile x

lastboxoftampons · 11/04/2012 11:10

Wiggy so sorry the witch is here, but like the others say, at least you can move on now.

Treats Ah, I see what you're up to! Using the GP's lack of knowledge to your advantage Wink very wiley! I have my appointment tomorrow, let's see what they say! BTW, I just looked it up to be sure, and yes, ov'd on CD24 for DS, so {hugs} It definitely means you're still in there with a chance if you haven't even ov'd yet - it's a good thing! Unless of course you're tired of DTD...it can be difficult to soldier on some months after nights of endless boinking! Wink

Speaking of...if it's not too personal...are you all on an every night plan, or every other, or every few days, etc? I try for every 3 days or so in the run up to my fertile time and then every other day in the, erm, "zone"...I'm never sure what's best. Regardless I always feel like I'm calling the shots and telling him when we NEED to...it takes all the fun out of it for me Hmm Must remember to tell him to initiate more...

Spring hoping all is okay with DD?

Flightty hugs for you. Do your family know you're TTC? AT least DH isn't away when you're ov'ing!

I'm only zen this month because I feel like I'm going to get some answers with the miracle thermometer that should be arriving any day now! Wink I had said we were going to be super laid back about TTC#2, just have lots of sex and go with the flow. But turns out that not knowing exactly when I've o'd is more stressful for me than the actual temping, etc, IFSWIM? So sure the zen will only last one month before I know when I ov and therefore can stress about that Wink

Hope everyone is having a lovely day! Smile

LimeLeafLizard · 11/04/2012 10:53

Treats my SIL ovulates around days 21 - 23, she only found this out after a few months of trying. She has two children (so far!). And at least you've jumped ahead with the doctors so are moving on that front, too.

Wiggy sorry to hear AF got you but yes at least you have the certainty now. I haven't really checked out the other threads yet to see if there is a due in Jan one... or maybe we should consider a new flight.

Treats · 11/04/2012 10:39

Wiggy - glad that you finally had a resolution one way or the other. Sorry it was an AF but at least you can start planning your next cycle now.

Sorry for everyone else who's getting BFNs or finding the wait difficult Sad. Flightty - it's hard when you've got nothing else to focus on, isn't it?

Day 22 here and still no sign of ov. lbot - thanks for your post about conceiving on Day 24 before - it gives me some hope Smile. i'm getting a bit down about the late ov, and I have to keep reminding myself that it means I've still got a chance to get pregnant this month. you're right about the Day 3 and Day 21 tests, but actually my main aim is to get prescribed some Clomid, so I think a Day 21 test that shows no progesterone can only be helpful in that campaign!

Dillydollydaydream · 11/04/2012 10:29

:)
I keep hanging around to see how everyone is getting on. I've dipped my toe into the December antenatal thread but as its so early on a bit reluctant to get settled in if that makes sense?!

I ordered the digital tests off of Amazon as it was 6.99 vs 12.99 in boots. Just need to wait for them to arrive! Hopefully it'll be 2-3 weeks by then :)

Wiggy29 · 11/04/2012 10:22

Morning all! AF has finally arrived- phew! Was about to do yet another test this morning but as I weed into my little pot I looked down and there it was. Pleased as I was worried my cycle was going to play up after being on the pill for so long. That puts my cycle at 31 days so pretty average I think.

Limeleaf- it's hard to say when to test, I did two that said negative and was about to do a third this morning when AF arrived. I think it's tough when you're 99.9% (recurring!) that you aren't but still no sign of AF which leaves that glimmer of hope.

I'm going to stay on this thread to see how you all get on and think it's too soon to jump to another as it's feels like a very long time until I'm due again.

Thinking of you all.x

LimeLeafLizard · 11/04/2012 10:12

Morning everyone,

Flightty sorry to hear you're feeling fed up. Those family days can get like that even at the best of times, and even though you love them really!

I'm also pretty sure I'm out - still no AF but temps sliding and expecting her any time. TBH I wish she'd just hurry up and come so I can get on with the next cycle.

LP will be 15 days this cycle which is the longest it has been since I started charting almost a year ago!

When can I next justify testing and wasting my next £5 - tomorrow morning, perhaps? She's bound to be here before then.
I keep having silly thoughts that perhaps I ovulated later than I thought and that what I thought were AF cramps a few days ago were actually implantation. Thing is, I am temping and I know this isn't the case!

Spring hope you're feeling better after your bad night and hope DD2 is ok? (Not ill or anything).

Good luck all.

PS dilly it is nice that you are still here to cheer us on and waft baby dust over us all! Smile Did you buy your posh test to see 'pregnant' in writing?

Flightty · 11/04/2012 09:54

Hello all,

sorry to wander off yesterday. Just feeling rubbish really, DP is stuck in london for a few more days and I've had to spend time with my family which though they are very well meaning, was quite difficult.

I did buy a couple of cheaper-than-normal four day early tests, from the supermarket, and took one yesterday and one this morning. Nothing.

So I'm pretty sure I'm out.

Temps haven't dropped markedly but they're sliding now. looks like a 'normal' LP this time which makes me due on around Saturday or Friday, I think last month's was just super short because I was ill - or something. I've no idea.

Anyway, still very sore boobs and cramping a lot and nothing's happening. Sorry not to reply individually, just haven't time to read everything I've missed but will look through properly today. Just wanted to apologise and say hi Smile

Spring, let us know if you decide to poas...good luck xx

Dillydollydaydream · 11/04/2012 09:36

Ooh fingers crossed AF stays away. I had a random pregnancy dream before I found out. I dreamt I had twins!! Undiagnosed and was giving birth naturally. It was v random, the pushing seemed so real!

SpringFlowers · 11/04/2012 09:22

I feel ok thanks Dilly, very nauseas when I woke up but fine now. I had a moment in the middle of the night where I was suddenly certain that I was pregnant. Saying this will of course bring my period on Wink. Today I still have no spotting which is unusual for me. It is still only cd 26 though. Never has time passed so slowly. I might buy a test today, if I don't end up using it I'll have it for another time at least.

How is everyone else? Any af or testing news?

Dillydollydaydream · 11/04/2012 07:41

Hope you're not too tired this morning after being up on the night.
I always feel really nauseous when I'm overtired, horrible!

SpringFlowers · 11/04/2012 02:43

I am so sorry for all these late periods and bfn's! How annoying. We spend days and weeks waiting to be late and then it turns into nothing. It's so frustrating.

I am up with dd2 (hence the 2 am post). I feel as sick as a sick thing. Yuk. A couple of months ago when we weren't actually trying and had a mishap around ovulation time I felt really, really nauseas when I was waiting for my period. Turns out it was a part of a pre- menstral migraine. No headache yet but I can't even bank on that as a symptom!

I am jealous of lbot's zen .

Wiggy29 · 10/04/2012 21:51

So sorry Empire, it is the month of the awol periods! Where are they, the little red buggers!

EmpireBiscuit · 10/04/2012 21:48

I caved - another BFN :( hurry along now AF, I want to be one week pregnant again...

Wiggy29 · 10/04/2012 20:59

Limeleaf- I feel your frustration, where is it??? Still no sign: cramps have disappeared, nipples back to normal and ewcm??? What is going on? In the past when I came off the pill to try other types of contraception I always went straight back to a monthly cycle. Typical eh?

I used a clear blue when I tested last Wednesday as I was testing early and then a Home Bargins 2 for 89p on Sunday (both negative). I'm not testing again though as 99.9999% sure I'm not and just really want AF now so I can get on with next cycle! In the past I always hated 12 periods a year and now I think it's not enough! I can see how you get bored of the waiting, wondering and symptom spotting. Still hoping it's the lucky month for a few more of you.x

Dillydollydaydream · 10/04/2012 20:27

Ah I bought 15 tests from amazon for £2.80 so I didn't feel so bad using them before AF was due. If they were expensive I wouldn't have tested. I saved my First Response test for when I had a likely bfp.
I have ordered some more tests from Amazon Blush
This time the clear blue digital ones - with weeks. £6.99 for a twin pack which I thought was quite good. Yes, I think I may just be a teeny bit addicted! Grin

LimeLeafLizard · 10/04/2012 19:13

Spring you are so right - it is boring. Now I am at the end of it and I still don't have a sure answer. Aarrgh. It is hard to stay sane. Will you be testing around the weekend then, if no AF?

Grin @ pee on a £5 note! So true.

Thanks for your kind words lbot. I am trying to be realistic and not get too hopeful.

I just googled pycnogenol and looked on wiki too. Wow. There is a lot I didn't know about this stuff! I'm quite interested in the cardiovascular benefits, too.

EmpireBiscuit · 10/04/2012 18:10

SpringFlowers · 10/04/2012 18:08

I am so bored of the 2ww. Boring, boring, boring. How can I still only be on day 25? I've spent so long thinking about it I can no longer remember whether my last period started on a Saturday or a Sunday, how close to my period I usually have spotting or what it feels like to be pregnant. Anyway, I'm still not having spotting and I seem to think I usually have it for four or five days so that's a good thing. Is anyone else still sane?

lastboxoftampons · 10/04/2012 17:29

PS: The one thing that always stops me from testing until I'm pretty sure I'm PG - would you pee on a £5 note? It's the same thing! Wink

lastboxoftampons · 10/04/2012 17:28

Lime I know there's nothing worse than well-meaning posters giving you hope only to have AF show up, so I'm not going to make any promises...but I'm quietly hoping for you!

Pycnogenol is an antioxidant which has been shown to have a positive effect on morphology. If you do a google search, you'll find lots about it. Also called Pine Bark Extract.

LimeLeafLizard · 10/04/2012 17:01

Thanks Empire, and I for you!

Just checked my charts - last time I had a luteal phase longer than 13 days was 7 cycles ago. A while - but it has happened and I need to be realistic and expect AF any time. It is difficult not to symptom spot - I am feeling so crampy and bloated - but I must not POAS again for at least two days.

EmpireBiscuit · 10/04/2012 16:26

LimeLeafLizard I am still crossing my fingers for you!

LimeLeafLizard · 10/04/2012 15:26

lbot what is pycnogenol?
