To not ovulate in your wtf is actually pretty normal - or, as you say, it's possible the monitor just missed it because your hormmones will be far from your 'usual' in wtf. And, I know it's a worry, but it's another one of our irrational worries in this club - you haven't suddenly lost the ability to become pregnant! You WILL get pregnant again! You just need to give your body (and your mind) a bit of a chance to get over what it has gone through. Be kind to yourself!

Things will probably return closer to normal for you in your next cycle - and maybe not. Mine took five months to get straight (I was ovulating late, and then my LP was short). But as soon as it sorted itself out I fell pregnant that month.

Oh, and finally... just because you've returned to low, doesn't mean to say your body won't try and give it another go if you haven't actually ovulated. So bear that in mind.

I do apologise to those of you wanting to be a bit healthy with your brekkie - I suppose you could just take the fruit intended for the waffles and, oh, ok, there. How could you even eat those? Muffins should be moist and sweet.

I have a sweet tooth this morning. In case you hadn't noticed! That'll teach me to miss dinner.

BottleRed76 · 23/04/2012 07:24

Morning ladies!

State keeping my fingers crossed you get a very definate BFP today!

Looking forward to getting there myself, but not looking forward to the constant worry and mentalling.

Latest from tales of the CBF Monitor - after 9 days of 'high' fertility readings and no peak we are back to 'low'. So that's the end of my so called super fertile cycle after mc. Its possible that I may have ovulated and the monitor hasn't picked it up but I doubt it. The long two week wait now....... Thing is, not being pregnant has almost as much mentalling worrying about my fertility.....

Anyway. Monday morning and new shiny week awaits!

StateofConfusion · 22/04/2012 22:58

Evening everyone,

I'm a little calmer now, thank you, your all lovely! Just wish dp would be a bit more understanding instead of shrugging shoulders and seeming unphased!

Dorita I can totally understand the thoughts your having if it hadn't been for a BFN last month I would be thinking the same now. I agree with pp who have said get a first response, although for me tescos own are most sensitive! And test first urine of the day. Fingers crossed x

sunshinesue · 22/04/2012 22:36

welcome stateofconfusion. You're in good company here Smile

Congrats on twenty weeks missc

Sounds like a new pregnancy to me dorita tentative congratulations. let us know how you get on.

Midgetm · 22/04/2012 21:22

I think what you have is a positive test. Go buy One that says pregnant not pregnant so you can believe it. Sounds like a positive to me.

Cakeplease · 22/04/2012 21:19

I think it is highly unlikely to be left over from your miscarriage (that's just my opinion) I can understand why you are thinking that, it's almost a way of protecting yourself. It sounds to me like a new pregnancy but to be sure why don't you get a first response test tomorrow (very sensitive) and test again.

Fingers crossed I'm right x

Dorita75 · 22/04/2012 20:44

Apologies if the answer to this is somewhere on the thread but it's so looong.....so I'm hoping someone will have some advice please.

I had a mmc in Feb and ERPC on17th Feb. Tested negative on 20th March. Since then have had 1 light period followed 2 weeks later by a more normal one. Going by my 'old' cycle of 26 days I was due on yesterday. I've done a few tests and had 2 very faint lines on Tesco's own tests yesterday and this morning and neg on a cheapy Home Bargains dip test one this afternoon.

Is there any way these faint lines could be left over hormones from the last pregnancy, which ended 9 weeks ago? I've tried looking but all info on testing positive after mmc seems to be about being clear 6 weeks later at the latest. I'm starting to wonder if the negative in March would've been still positive if I'd used a different brand of test....Whaddaythink??

Thank you in advance Smile

Sorry to all the AF-ers, welcome to state and cake, hang in there to manda and blue not long now! Congratulations on the baby girl poppy!

I think the problem with the metalling is that you'll metal whatever happens. Metal if there are symptoms, metal if there aren't, metal if it's the same as last time and metal if it's different! I've metalled my way through three pregnancies because I was unlucky enough to lose my first at 14 weeks (and my third at 17 but I have my DD Smile)

I had a doppler I rented off ebay for mini-toe (baby three) and it was when I couldn't find his heartbeat I decided to go into hospital, it's the only time I didn't find it and he had indeed died - I chose not to use one this time, which wasn't an easy decision but I feel safe in the first 12 weeks, and after that it's not too long until regular movement I suppose. I think I would have gotten addicted to it as I've metalled big style this time round.

I'm now well into regular movement and it does make me feel a lot better.

I'm 20 weeks every body. Count them Grin Twen-ty Grin Halfway! It's a nice milestone on the way to the 24 week one I really want. And a bit of distraction from my current metalling that something will be wrong with the baby at the 20 week scan which is still a way away...with a quick dildocam in between.

WhyAlwaysBoris · 22/04/2012 20:19

hello Stateofconfusion, i'm sorry for your mc and congratulations on your BPF. The cake you made for your sister sounds seriously lovely :)

StateofConfusion · 22/04/2012 20:08

Im not 100% of my dates as since the mmc af ranged from 28-35 days apart. But i got the bfp friday, lmp started 9/3/12 so could be 6wks max.

I have a 4.9yo ds and 3.5yo dd.

dp reminded me that i said the chicken at dinner smelt odd, really odd made me feel queer but no one else could smell it, and now i feel a bit queasy, thats got to be good, id happily spend the day with my head down the toilet right now!

Cakeplease · 22/04/2012 19:54

How many weeks are you? Have you got any other children? If it is reassuring I had no symptoms whatsoever with dc until 7 weeks and then felt like crap until 14 weeks. DC was born at term totally fine (despite bleeding at 7,32 & 39 weeks). You maybe a lucky one with no sickness (I never had heartburn) or it may floor you in a few weeks!! ;p

XxX

Ps - it is shit! But we will be ok. As a friend who lost a baby at 30 weeks said. You'll never forget but one day it will just be part of your past & nOt filling every thought xxx

StateofConfusion · 22/04/2012 19:44

thank you cake and sorry for your loss, its utterly shit isnt it!

Im now obsessing that Ive not had heartburn today, or felt sick..

Cakeplease · 22/04/2012 19:39

Welcome stateofconfusion I can totally empathise. I mc'd last month and want a BFP but am also dreading it, think it'll be a very anxious time. You are very welcome here. The ladies (and cake!) are lovely. You can share your ups and downs and hopefully a positive & straight forward pregnancy. Your feelings are totally understandable, roll with it & as the weeks tick by you will hopefully be reassured.

Take care, hugs x

StateofConfusion · 22/04/2012 19:39

Manda

actually i have pink strawberry flavoured cake in the kitchen, pink strawberry frosting and glittery butterflys, that do Wink (i really do I made it for my sisters birthday)

I have a dd and ds, which makes me think maybe that was our chance and now our luck is over.

Feel all over the place, hormones? and just wanting to stay calm, knowing im not alone is a huge comfort, and your last sentence made me stop and think, thank you.

MandaHugNKiss · 22/04/2012 19:29

Well, you kinda can't join unless you like cake, Stateof... and bring a cake offering! What cake do you bring, hmmmm?

(I am joking, call it a little distraction if you will - getting your mind onto cake for a few moments can't be a bad thing, right?)

(seriously, though, what cake are you offering?)

Unfortunately, all of us here know exactly how you're feeling. The good news is, many, many of us are currently progressing through successful pregnancies. There's no reason why you won't too - you know a mc/mmc doesn't automatically mean it'll happen again, right? Do you have other DC?

StateofConfusion · 22/04/2012 19:20

hi everyone

Ive just got a bfp after a mmc in december, to say im scared doesnt cover it, im sat here now on the verge of tears because i am so afraid, i just want it to be ok! I thought id be so happy nothing else would enter my head but fear is gripping me so tightly!

mind if i join you all, you seem exactly what i need Smile

MandaHugNKiss · 22/04/2012 18:59

Midgetm · 22/04/2012 18:30

Found the HB again, I love my Doppler once again.

Midgetm · 22/04/2012 17:18

And I love it when you call me midge.

Midgetm · 22/04/2012 17:17

Moan heard, comforting stroke offered. Baby making an exhausting business x

MandaHugNKiss · 22/04/2012 17:12

Yuppers, the baby's heart will be faster than yours - typically between 120-160...

But if your hb is fater than usual (as is normal for pregnancy, I think a pregnant 'average' womans hb is usually at least 80 although you crazy people who exercise regularly will probably have a lower reading) My 'normal' hb is around mid 70's but for some reason my heartbeat is hovering around 100 this pregnancy (and as high as 140 when I'm feeling particularly shite and breathless). If I pick up DS2's toys, that's enough to push it up to 125. But resting, it's around 100. Obviously I have the read out so it makes it easier to distinguish - not sure my ears are really up to the difference beween 100 and the 120 the baby tends to be at.

Can I just whine for a moment that I'm UTTERLY EXHAUSTED? Wait, I think I just did. Thanks!

Midgetm · 22/04/2012 16:55

Well it did stop my metalling but now not so sure im not picking up my own as doesnt seen fast enough so probably agree with manda that best to get a good un. Thing is I do think I can feel flutters, just not regular so it's kind of a short term in between de metaller. I know movements are more important, DD hardly moved at all and turned out she was in big trouble in my inhospitable womb, was just lucky to have her whipped out before my rubbish placenta failed completely. I am now on the fence as to if they are good or bad. For us metallers maybe temporarily good, if used properly. And get a good one, not £22 off eBay like me....

Tits I am 14 weeks. And remember the positive midget is a bit mental, not sure if the old style me would have coped and it may have made me metal more.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 22/04/2012 16:48

I had a doppler with ds2 I used it about twice, but this was the days before pregnancy caused me nothing but worry. Sad

I might invest in a very cheaply eBay one that claims to be from 10 weeks and have a go. Confused
Little heartbeats are faster than adult ones aren't they?

MandaHugNKiss · 22/04/2012 16:16

midge Dopplers, in general, are frowned upon here at MN it seems, but I've used one regularly with DS2 and this time in the period between being able to find the hb and being able to feel regular movement. Ironic, really, that I didn't dig it out last time.

Once you can feel regular movement, that is a better indication of everything being 'ok' - there is an oft mentioned story of a woman, quite late in her pregnancy, who realised the baby hadn't moved in some time so listened in with her doppler. Hearing a hb, she was reassured. But it turned out the baby had passed and she was hearing her own hb. I guess if she'd have gone in when noticing movement had slowed/ceased for a while the baby may have had a chance.

ANyway, glad it's offering you some reassurance right now - does it have an lcd readout so you can easily be pretty sure it's not your own hb?

I'll have to get around to selling mine (it's a hospital grade one, with lcd display) as this is definitely our last baby... DF going to the Dr's to talk about getting snipped!

Moominsarescary · 22/04/2012 15:49

tits the angel sounds Doppler is realy good, but it's from 12 weeks and you can't allways find the hb untill later on which causes more metalling.

You can get them on amazon for less than £30
