Thanks for the advice.
Its just that i know that they will send me away for another 2 weeks/10 days because they wont be able to see anything.
Its what happens every time. I would rather leave it another couple of weeks when i know definitely that if there is anything to see, it WILLor wont be there. (I nearly always have blighted ovums)

Oh pebs, the days must drag being in a boring job.
I am a nursing sister, so i defo cannot describe my job as boring. It is physically and mentally demanding and i spend my days looking like a lazy arse making excuses about how i cant help to lift that 25 stone man up the bed...without telling a soul i am pregnant....I get very inventive!

Self preservation is very strong as i usually jump with enthusiasm at wanting to make some one comfy in bed when they are poorly, its second nature to grab a pinny and gloves and muscle in!

Ive got to 6w 2 days so far..nothing awful has happened yet Smile

manda I think the erpc was the right thing for me. I was mostly scared of not waking up after ga but they gave me a premed before they put me to sleep and I cannot even remember them putting me to sleep. It was the best ga I have had and I was so relieved.

I haven't had much bleeding since erpc. Just got a bit of spotting now. I an just exhausted. I am also worrying about what to do next. Should I wait for referral to st marys or should I just try again in the WTF cycle?

I know the sensible thing would be to wait and try to get more answers but I really hate all the wasted time in between mcs I just want a baby ffs. It will be coming up to two years soon since we decided to ttc I can't believe I am still waiting.

I am having a couple more days off work and will go back in later this week. I will only need to do a short week this week and then the next two weeks are shorter with easter as well. Seems a bit more manageable than full time work.

My job is really boring so I will be mainly sat at my desk thinking and planning for next pg. I really need a new job but my maternity benefits are good here so i don't want to leave. Although will i ever get to use them??? Also I would probably have to take on a more stressful job for the money/level I am at. I think I have fallen through the cracks in my current workplace and don't seem to have much to do but get paid pretty well. Public sector innit!! I have ignored a few opportunities to change jobs internally as I didn't think I would get them as every man and his dog knew about my late mc and I thought they would know I was going to get of again and not give me the job anyway. Wish I has applied nowSad
.

Sorry to turn it into a rant about work!!

What do you all do for jobs? I am a very bored accountant!

Manda, sorry about the SPD. You might find a hip brace thing helps, sorry, too tired and cannot think of right words. I had/have hip problems in pregnancy and one of these helped, a bit, only a bit but still a help. They are a bit like giant tubigrip bandages to wear on your hips. Midwive would know and might have one. Also, keep your ankles and knees together! Ahem! Pretend you are a Victorian lady when getting out if bed, out of cars and swing your knees out together, not one leg at once. Generally, take small steps. So sorry for you. It is horrid pain. It made me feel a bit incapacitated which was horrid too.

Midgetm · 25/03/2012 22:31

manda no idea what SPD is but it sounds horrid so for that reason, I lick you. Hope it passes soon.

bonzo77 · 25/03/2012 22:10

congratulations and well done IQ, My SIL had a baby a similar size to your lovely new arrival, accompanied by a 4th degree tear (baby born very fast) and spend more time being repaired than she did in labour. She has been fine since, no ishoos whatsoever. Hopefully you will have the same sort of fortune. I have lovely memories of the first few weeks with DS, sitting in bed snuggling and just gazing adoringly at his perfectness.

apologies all for drunk posting last night.

BlueCrane · 25/03/2012 21:38

eve we must be due about the same time...29th May for me! Glad all is well for you in team pink...we've stayed in team yellow/cream/beige/neutral so will have a surprise!

eve34 · 25/03/2012 21:35

Sorry not to know all of you - old time lurker :-)

Thank you for the hello's.

Mrs N i would go for the scan. We paid for an 11 week scan as I was certain we had mc again. Fortunately baby girl was fine and continues to do so. I wanted the peace of mind and did not want to wait another week.

Pie - I am sure you are due the same time as me end of may? at 20 week scan madam had her legs crossed. I was happy not knowing but DP was desperate to know so we went again for a sexing scan. I knew it was a girl. I wanted the surprise though to be honest. Enjoy being team yellow.

Sore bits will soon heal. The mat ward froze (sp?) pads and they were a god send. After a few days things soon returned to being comfortable. Once the stiches are out it will be fine.

IQ hope you and baby are doing well. Thinking of you all.

For those still waiting for your bfp. I know your time will come. Hang on in there. :-)

BlueCrane · 25/03/2012 21:32

Oh manda so sorry for the temptation!! I have the wherewithall to make the hot chocolate but alas no squirty cream or flakes either (would LOVE some chocolate right now...DH is out, might have to send him on a detour for Cadbury's on his way home...Hmm !!) You have my sympathies with the SPD feeling...if I sit down for too long then I feel ancient when I get up as the whole of my 'under bump' area (so to speak) aches so so much and walking is a disaster! This is also the case for rolling over in bed, getting out of bed, getting out of the car etc etc...v v painful! Not entered thighs yet thankfully but it is definitely not pleasant! DH suggested I took some paracetamol but a) I doubt it'll do much and b) I so don't want to get into the habit of taking that every night before bed or during the day either might mention it to the MW on Thursday - have you chatted to anyone medical about your pains yet? Hope you enjoyed your specially chosen dinner!

MandaHugNKiss · 25/03/2012 21:16

Ah, lovely news, IQ - many congratulations to FamilyIQ on the arrival of our little girl! I mean, is it odd that I want us to claim a tiny sliver of credit for her, in that we've been here every step and how she gives us all hope? and how we all hope to come away with intact nether regions - so sorry iq! I understand it heals pretty quickly and the horrid memories fade but I don't know for sure as I've always come away unscathed, sorry again!

pebs I'm still holding you in my thoughts. How're you doing, physically, I mean. Do you feel you took the right course of management?

midget I'm missing being licked... Grin

blue I could swing for you! What am I craving now other than a creamy hot choccie with cream and flake? I really can't send DF out as he just detoured about 5 miles to get me what I fancied for my dinner...

I think, no, I'm kinda quite sure, that I'm developing SPD. I can bearly walk and although a hot bath helped some it's still VERY much 'there'. What is, you ask? Oh, feeling like I've been kicked in the fanjo. And that bruisey feeling runs down the inside of both thighs. And when I get up from sitting/walk, oh my, it properly hurts! Still this too will pass... this too WILL pass...

BlueCrane · 25/03/2012 20:34

Just checking in and...

Yeah Grin for the arrival of mini-IQ really hope she's out of SCBU and with you soon IQ and that all your bits start to heal quickly (really not looking forward to that bit I have to say!)

And leedy congrats in your BFP too!!

pebs glad everything went well on Friday and that the GA was ok too...i avoided the suppository - sounds fun Hmm Sounds as if you're thinking through the next steps well.

mrsN I would also have the scan for peace of mind...the waiting is a nightmare!

pebspop · 25/03/2012 20:26

mrs I would always go for the scan. If something is wrong I would rather know asap rather than turn up to a twelve week scan and get bad news.

I am a big annoyed with myself that I waited two weeks after my six week scan for the next one. I should have gone weekly as I would have found out about this last mc a week earlier. They offered me weekly and I turned it down.

Will be having weekly scans next time.

Midgetm · 25/03/2012 19:37

MrsN I would have the scan. Always choose knowledge over limbo is my moto.

mrsnesbit · 25/03/2012 19:12

he will, he has his way of coping, he will always go along with whatever i say.

He bases his opinion on tons and tons of previous scans with all of our mcs. Getting sent away for a week or 10 days or 2 weeks as nothing showing up...that i think he finds worse.

tasmaniandevilchaser · 25/03/2012 19:08

mrsnesbit you need to do whatever keeps you sane, personally I would go for the scan as I would need to know. Will your DH not support you in your decision?

mrsnesbit · 25/03/2012 19:00

Dont know about any one else, but i just cant stop thinking negative throughts.
"when is this going to end?" counting down to loss instead of counting up to a baby.
Feeling especially low today. No bleeding but symptoms just there, gently on the edge. All meaning absolutely nothing.

I booked a scan at EPAU for Wednedsay because i just need to know if there is anything there. I havent had the courage to tell dh as he wants us to carry on untill something happens, or until we reach 12 weeeks.

I have reached 13 weeks before now, and there was nothing there, i cant be tortured like that again. Waiting, not knowing. Dont know whether to tell him or cancel it.

Midgetm · 25/03/2012 18:53

moomin blimey 11 2. That made my fanjo feel pain in sympathy. Sending virtual good vibes to get that mini IQ out of SCBU.

Tiago · 25/03/2012 18:48

Congratulations IQ. I hope you are both home soon. :)

Moominsarescary · 25/03/2012 16:56

Well done iq and welcome to the world mini iq, hope she is back with you soon. Ds1 was 11lb 2 so I feel your pain x

NoMoreMarbles · 25/03/2012 11:55

Hope everyone else is having a good sundaySmile

PieMistress · 25/03/2012 11:06

Congrats leedy on the BFP !

Congrats iq on daughter's arrival - are you comfortable sharing the name on here? Am so happy she made it safe and sound! Hope your battered fanjo heals up soon, have heard great things about arnica and putting tea tree oil in the bath? Oh and sitting on a rubber ring! Hope you get home soon and baby IQ gets out of hospital xx

Nice to hear from you eve, congrats on expecting team pink! We are going to stay on team yellow .....

JaffaSnaffle · 25/03/2012 10:52

Iq, wonderful news! And welcome to the world mini-IQ! I hope she is soon out of SCBU and you are all home soon. Such a special time for you and your family. And well done you! 40 metalling weeks and a great big labour is over and she is with you and your DH now.

Boo to the battered fanjo. Sadly have experience there - DD decided she was superwoman and was born with her hand out on face. Gave herself a lovely bruise and me lovely tear, forwards not the usual backwards. I found having a jug of warm water to pour when peeing helped a lot. They were really strict about washing down there - no bubble baths for weeks, but they did say a few drops of lavender oil in the bath was ok. I was considering this for a while but healed quickly- you can hire little inflatable ring cushions if you are struggling to sit, I think maybe from NCT? But I will say, even though I had quite a bad time if it, I healed quickly and the memories faded rapidly. Hope the same for you x

Midgetm · 25/03/2012 10:40

peb I also had clots in the placenta with DD, who made it but was low birth weight. also took aspirin, but this was pre ST Mary's so I was only on 75mg. Dose of aspirin with st Mary's is 150mg. Really does sound like St Mary's would be a good place to start. Good luck with your referral. It has reassured me and given me back some hope so here's hoping it does the same for you. X

tasmaniandevilchaser · 25/03/2012 10:25

congrats iq, hope mini iq comes home soon
congrats leedy!

WhyAlwaysBoris · 25/03/2012 10:16

Hurray! welcome baby IQ

Poppyjen · 25/03/2012 10:15

IQ congratulations, well done to all of you Grin ! Hope that miniIQ only has a brief stay in SCBU and you can all get home soon. Take care lovely!

Before I had DS my friend gave me a bit of advice re the whole fanjo/stitches thing...apparently sanitary pads with soothing cream/gel on them (can't quite remember what it was, may have been something like arnica gel) and kept in the fridge so they are nicely cool on your delicate parts Wink

Didn't have chance to test the theory myself as ended up with EMCS but she swore by it!

Eve34 good to "see" you - wishing you all the best for the next few weeks - do let us know how you get on won't you!
