Hello Oneday, just wanted to say hello and well done for posting, i go through phases when i'm so down about my baby i just can't bare to say anything, and I know it is really really hard to overcome that.

How far along were you when you mc, if you don't mind me asking? (makes a difference in terms of future advice)

StateofConfusion · 23/04/2012 17:33

sue tell me more about the asprin? I'll do anything to keep this baby, I'm 6+3 x

sunshinesue · 23/04/2012 17:24

oh, and I'm glad you've said something too. I don't like to think of people metalling away on their own. Everyone on here is so lovely and made me feel right at home.

sunshinesue · 23/04/2012 17:21

welcome along oneday. I think your name says it all, take it one day at a time Smile. I think all of us here realise how precarious and scary pregnancy is and there isn't a lot else we can do but keep off the metalling as much as we can and take each day as it comes.

From a practical point of view there's probably not much you can do to make a difference either way. Purely to make myself feel better I'm taking 75mg asprin (could possibly help and unlikely to do any harm but as your dr first), taking Pregnacare plus daily, acupuncture and taking things as easy as I can. Oh and staying off the crack/bungee jumping etc.

A chemical pregnancy is when the egg is fertilised but doesn't implant/grow properly, you'd get your "period" close to when you would have normally and probably wouldn't know you were pregnant if you hadn't tested. Lots of Dr's don't really refer to cp's specifically as they're really an early pregnancy loss the same as any other. You're not any more likely to have a cp because you've tested early.

CONGRATULATIONS, no matter what else, today, you are pregnant! Grin

onedayatatime73 · 23/04/2012 16:58

I have been reading this thread at least three times a day for weeks now. Am beginning to feel like a stalker so think I should finally speak up. I have been so down about my mc I just couldn't think of anything to say. I have been following all the stories with interest - congrats to all the new BFPs and the successful scans. pebs you are being so patient and I hope you get some answers soon. mrsn I hope you are ok, haven't heard from you for a little while.

So my metalling state is thus: has a mc at home in feb. had erpc on 29 feb. had a bfn ten days later so ttc during my wtf cycle. Severe case of symptom spotting. Totally convinced I was pg again. When I wasn't I was as upset as I had been over the mc. Silly but AF made me feel it was happening all over again.

So this cycle, no symptoms at all to speak of, did a frer at 9dpo - and there it was - a pink line. That was Saturday morning and have obv done a chemist's worth of tests since and all positive.

So advice please - AF would be due on Thursday so I have tested really early. There's a chance I could still get AF and this would be a cp right? I don't really know what a cp is exactly but have picked up bits from you lovely ladies on here.

Is there anything I can do to make this stick? I feel numb with fear. I want to be able to scream with joy but mc has taken away that innocence and freedom iyswm.

Sorry for long post. Am glad I have said something at last!

sunshinesue · 23/04/2012 16:49

just had an email cancelling my pram/car seat order due to "stock issues". Bastards getting me all excited for nothing! Ah well, I shall take my money elsewhere!

StateofConfusion · 23/04/2012 16:12

sue im off to nose at that website, 7wks isnt so bad, i swapped my dds pushchair for a bugaboo after i had my mmc because i knew if i had another i wanted it or if not ill sell it, im already adicted to the snunkie website for accessories.

is a stuffy nose a pregnancy symptom? im constantly sniffling but dont actually have a cold? just the cold symptoms but no snot it is most strange. I hope it is, it will make me breath a bit!

Im swinging from elation to serious metalling!

Got my maternity notes, need to fill them out....

JaffaSnaffle · 23/04/2012 15:45

Hi, it's been such a long time since I have posted that I have fallen of the thread!
kirrin, fab news on your scan. I am 11+3, so very close dates to you!
msc excellent news on reaching 20 weeks. That is wonderful!
Manda you made me laugh, I have recognised myself as one of The Constipators. :)
pebs, I hope you get a very low hcg count so you are clear to try again. I am sorry it has been such a drawn out affair for you.

Well, I am metalling away. I still feel very pregnant, I'm hungry, sickly, nose like a bloodhound, tired, constipated, getting fat, sore boobs, runny nose. These are all good. The bad is this pregnancy feels very like my late mc one. It is so similar. I am so scared history is repeating itself. Last time there was no explanation, so there is nothing I can do differently. I have weeks to go until I am out of my own danger zone. I look pregnant. I am a size 10/12 normally, but now I have porn star boobs and a gnome sized paunch. Everyone will be speculating. I just want to hide away for the next 2 months. It is my brother's wedding in just over 2 weeks, and I have struggled to find anything that hides my bump. I bought the best of the bunch, which makes me look 'maybe', rather than 5/6 months pregnant. But I might get bigger in the mean time.
I am sleeping badly, mainly due to my poor old bladder, so rationally I know my judgement is not clear. But I just want to be through this time. Please let the days and weeks go quickly, and safely.

sunshinesue · 23/04/2012 14:22

forgot to say, there seem to be a few of the prams brand new on ebay. I guess some people just bought them to flog on. It's a nipabout and on from £135 Buy it now, don't know anything about prams but this still seems like a decent price to me.

sunshinesue · 23/04/2012 14:15

um, I'm 7 weeks Blush way too early to buy a pram! this is the website www.outnabout.com/. there are still a few bits and piecs left but nothing juicy. I was going to post on here and give you all a heads up but I checked back a few minutes after I'd bought mine and everything had sold out (though the car seat is back on at £25 I see). Just hoping they actually turn up now! I'm always too slow to get the good deals, I'm especially surprised I got this one given the amount of time I spend handwringing and hopping about asking DH if I should get it.

The deal came up on hotukdeals.com. Lots and lots of crap but the occassional great deal does come up!

Glad you had the all clear pebs

GrandPoohBah · 23/04/2012 14:11

That's great news kirrin, glad to hear it.

It's good that they're taking you seriously pebs, even if they are being useless at letting you know.

Question - if I wanted to change the hospital I'm supposed to have my maternity care at, how would I go about it? Anyone know? I'm seeing the RMC at a hospital locally which is generally considered to be not-great but I've been really happy with my care there, whereas the 'better' hospital has generally been useless, no joined up care, I'm supposed to be 'high risk' but heard nothing from my consultant - and I got my appointment for my booking in this morning, and it's not till I'm 13 weeks Angry.

I've also lost all motivation for work. If they knew how little I'm doing at the moment, I'd be fired. Terrible employee. Oh well.

StateofConfusion · 23/04/2012 13:31

fantastic news kirrin thats really cheered me up Grin

how far along are you sue and what shop/site

pebspop · 23/04/2012 13:21

hey everyone. not sure why but this thread has fallen off my 'i'm on list' must not have posted for a while.

i went to hopsital on thursday for a scan to find out if anything had been left after erpc. luckily all was clear but they did a hcg test anyway and a blood test for iron levels as i had been bleeding everyday for over two months. they were supposed to ring me on friday with the results but they didn't, will give them until 5 today and ring myself.

i have got acupuncture on thursday so hopefully that will be able to kick start my cycles and sort out my hormone levels.

i might test again at weekend to check for bfn i havn't bothered since thursday.

i have my consultant appointment next week as well so i will see what they have to say. i am sure they will just tell me to try again.

will start trying after i have seen the private consultant.

MandaHugNKiss · 23/04/2012 13:01

Lovely, kirrin - Yay! And good choice on snubbing the bran muffins... I just did it for those wanting to be all healthy, or The Constipators.

sue Where'd you get bargains like that? I want to peruse their site/shop!

sunshinesue · 23/04/2012 12:43

brilliant news kirrin!

kirrinIsland · 23/04/2012 12:38

Thanks everyone - everything looked fine, nice heartbeat and lots of wriggling :)

sunshinesue · 23/04/2012 11:50

StateOC they may or may not be happy to give you an early scan. I've found it depends on who you speak too. Don't be afraid to ask though I wouldn't have thought they'd be likely to offer.

In the spirit of doing things differently I've bought a pram and car seat Shock. I bought nothing at all for either of my previous pregnancies. I wouldn't usually dream of buying such a big purchase so early but it was a massive bargain (pram reduced from £400 to £65, car seat £15 both brand new). If it all goes tits again I'll ebay them and put the money towards a holiday.

WhyAlwaysBoris · 23/04/2012 10:58

Hope your scan goes well Kirrin, fingers and toes crossed here also

StateofConfusion · 23/04/2012 10:55

kirrin everything crossed for you. Your epu sound fab!

thanks midge and sun, in the trend of doing everything differently i rang the midwife this morning and booked myself in, usually I've waited until 8wks (last time more 10 due to problems at home) I'm off to collect paper work shortly, and they're visiting me on the 4th, i really hope they offer me an early scan, can i ask for one?

Part of me is buzzing and desperatly wants to organise life in my head, the other half is holding myself together saying do not concentrate on this yet!

We've just been given bunk beds which ds will have for now, dp said gleefully that saves some money once the babys out of the toddler bed we have these ready for dd or ds room, he's so relaxed! But then thats probably a good thing!

I really fancy an english muffin with egg and bacon, too early to say the baby wants it?

Midgetm · 23/04/2012 10:47

Kirrin got everything crossed except legs as would wet myself with all this constant peeing. Symptoms lessening normal so try to relax and let us know how you get on x

sunshinesue · 23/04/2012 10:31

fingers, toes and eyes crossed for you kirrin. I'm sure you already know but symptoms are supposed to ease off at around 10-12 weeks. I also heard that symptoms can be worse depending on how much liquid you've had to drink. Have you been guzzling water all weekend? Glad your EPU is on the ball now put your feet up if poss and try not to metal too much (easier said than done I know).

sunshinesue · 23/04/2012 10:23

try not to give any thought to the dream stateofconfusion, my metalling continues in my sleep too. It's natural for your daytime worries to occupy your thoughts when you're asleep too.

kirrinIsland · 23/04/2012 10:20

Welcome to state and dorita
sounds promising dorita Do a clear blue digital one to confirm but I'd say congratulations are in order :)

I've been metalling all weekend :( I'm 11+2 and my symptoms have all but disappeared. My bump such as it is has also been a bit achy though probably nothing a good dose of lactulose wouldn't sort out so I've given in and rung the EPU who have very nicely offered me a scan this morning I love my EPU
could you all cross your fingers and toes for me please?

Midgetm · 23/04/2012 09:00

Forgot to say MissC get you 20 weeks. Let's fast forward then next few eh? Congratulations, 20 is a handsome number.

Stateofconfusion this dream means you are metalling. It does not mean it will happen. And breathe. X

StateofConfusion · 23/04/2012 08:50

Morning all,

all I have is shreddies anyone, thought not?

Well I dreamt I had a bleed so now I complately paranoid! This doesn't mean something bad will happen does it, its just my mind is still so full of the mmc, well I really hope
