I hate Mothering Sunday

Anyone else in the not so great position of losing your Mum and struggling with ttc? DMum died 4 years ago. I still miss her like mad and this day is tough enough, but struggling with ttc for over two years, this being the third Mothering Sunday I've gone through ttc.
Gosh I'm whinging I know. Just wondered if anyone else feels the same and wants to hibernate here today. It's a pity party. You can join, but you must bring chocolate.

dor just because you haven't won a baybee yet does not mean you have failed it may feel like it but you have done nothing wrong!

I just couldn't face church either dor.
I feel a bit for the lady in my local Tesco who offered me a free sample of Lindt chocolate this week. Mmmmmmmm free chocolate I thought. Then she tells it's on offer and would make a nice Mothers day gift. I rather bitterly replied I haven't got a mother so she said....'it Easter?'. Poor cow. Must try to overcome the bitterness. Just not today.

Sorry faithy. I am fortunate enough to have my Mum here still.

However, I fucking hate Mother's Day. It is just a reminder of my biggest failure. I decided against gong to church today as it is just too bloody painful. :(

Much un-MN hugs for you Faithy. My best friend lost her mum to cancer last August so this is her first Mother's Day without her. I've been texting her all morning to make sure she's ok.

I hate it too. Although I still have my mum, we don't get on but that's another story, I hate it because I see all my friends talking about the things their children have done for them.

It's not my fault I'm not a mother.

Thanks :) yes, I'm avoiding it. Usually go to church but I just can't face it! Hiding from Facebook too. I'll be hiding at home and then going to see my sister. No public places! Maybe I'll buy some flowers for my Mum.

I'm also long term and struggling TTC and find today hard enough, but if you're also missing your own lovely mum it must be extra crap. I really do feel for you.

My plan for today is to do my utmost to ignore it - not easy since it's everywhere. Was going to indulge in a bit of retail therapy but can't imagine anywhere that it will be more thrust in your face
